They way it would work is whenever you open the app it would be the whole map of Los Santos, but minimized. You could scroll in/out from the map. There would be two features : Share location and Request location. Share location : You would type in a phone number/id(which ever the devs think is better) and press Share location. The other person would then get a notification that "id/number has shared their location with you." Then the other person would open his app and he/she would see the other person's location. It would last around 30/60 seconds. Request location : You would type in a phone number/id and press Request location. Then the other recipient would get a notification that "id/phone number is requesting your location." Then the person would open his app and he/she would see the other person's location. Could make it that you could have permanent GPS display with people you choose and would require for you to have a GPS on you.

At the moment you describe the buildings and areas around you OR you meet at the well known location and then drive elsewhere, location sharing would be a great option to have!

As it stands right now you can describe your location/state where you are on the GPS to your friends which takes a bit of time and so the convenience of something like this where you get a ping instead shouldn't also be instantaneous.
