  1. I think that this would just lead to some quick and easy abuse, by having people who know this is a feature get people with the new player tag to just set up farms for them at their place of choice. Additionally, new players should really stay away from criminal RP at their start, as it is generally a much harder start and you can get punished in a lot of ways by going that way rather than legal.
  2. I agree with the change to night time giving people the chance to rob people more openly. At the end, most crime is committed at night time and can often times be rather public, due to fewer people, people not caring, lower visibility etc. The overall risk of night time robberies is low almost anywhere, meaning that you risk little even for low reward. Additionally, this is a good suggestion that would create a distinction between day and night in the game, other than the bank being open. You would have to consider your actions much more when it comes to doing stuff during the night vs getting it done during the day. A lot of areas would be void of people during night time, so it would just make sense to make time a factor in the robbery rule. For times it would make sense to have it from ~10pm to 6am to count as night time, based on in game sun activity and rl bed time (average bed time in LA is 1145pm, with people likely being at home for a good hour+ before that) and sleep time (average sleep time in LA is <6h, so we could treat it as 6h). With these numbers, could also treat 10-12 and 4-6 as light robbery enhancement and treat midnight to 4am as full robbery allowance, as these hours would have the absolute lowest amount of people anywhere on the streets, meaning that the risk of being caught is the lowest.
  3. LEO changes Tasers - unless tasers are made to work realistic in the sense that you can continuously tase people if the prongs are attached, having to swap out after a couple of shots will lead to a lot of frustration when people choose to just continue running. Drops - people have said that there is a small chance, though i haven't seen it myself. I do like the current system though, as it gives LEOs a way to seek out drops while also giving crims a better chance to know if the drop was comped. MDC - Would be cool to have it all in the game, though we do have a pretty good tool for all reports, courtesy of @isBrainDed that i think is easier to use overall, especially since you need images for a lot of the reports. Crim changes Drugs - Addiction itself should decrease wellness by a point every X minutes, to a baseline of Y. This is if the effects are added, as its not hard to counter a clear buff from heroin with a bit of water, so adding an additional thing that people have to manage, will make a bigger difference. Additionally, Heroins health boost should heal people past the 70 mark like you took some painkillers Steroids - positive: increase melee damage/carry weight. negative: if suffering from steroid withdrawal, you have decreased melee damage/carry weight Gun heists - They do not sell anything outside of handguns, so stealing heavies does not make any sense. Faction size - is honestly a topic in itself as theres a lot of issues with it. For one, unlimited faction size just encourages factions with little to no standards to just mass recruit and deny smaller factions a chance to get big. I think a cap has to exist. shipments - In the current system, i disagree with the ability to pick where it drops as it will lead to gangs picking the safest locations, either due to them being 0 traffic areas or close to their HQ or will encourage people just establishing themselves on top of drop locations to always have an instant pickup. Freelance changes Towing - Change it so the owner, key holder or LEO sends a tow request and the person doing the towing accepts it. Server changes Revive kits - Considering not even MD can revive people on the spot, it should be changed to a BLS item. /CPR requires a license, but the item would allow people without a license to extend the life of people. Price would also be lower. Thrift stores - I don't think it should accept clothes, as it will just encourage people to take the shirt off your back.
  4. Camera/searchlight would be good additions for all helicopters, but should require a copilot to operate without any automatic features
  5. Cant commit crimes while doing scripted jobs, so i fail to see how it would help them. -1, human meat should remain a niche market for special RP, as it just did not make any sense to have the majority of people act as savages and gut body by body after a shootout. Even handling dead bodies is not something actual people would choose to do very willingly.
  6. -1 I really think people just need more imagination, as you can have 1 million johns with a million different last names, without having to resort to changing the spelling of john.
  7. Considering you even mentioned the realistic time of these actions, I would say that adding a shift click transfer option should only come with a 1 second timer on the action.
  8. I think at least Irish and Goblins, and maybe a couple of others have had these type of events go down, which raises the question if its really needed as a suggestion. At the end, you can organize something like this yourself.
  9. Rather than going backwards, big vehicles need increased locking range, or at least moved the locking spot closer to the front.
  10. +1 While this has been suggested mmultiple times, still think its a good idea to bring up. Would agree with Cactus on maybe adjusting the times, but generally, you should only trigger an alarm when picklocking the vehicle, while hotwiring would be a timer without an alarm and a 100% success rate. This would still allow people to steal cars as they can now, as it would be based on if you lock picked the car or not, but would eliminate people just jumping in and driving off in vehicles with the engine off. So no more vehicles being taken while refueling, no more farm vans stolen while storing wheat, no more vehicles being taken from the pier while the owner is storing fish etc.
  11. I think rather than getting fake IDs from NPCs, would be better to add a tool for fake IDs to illegal imports as well as resources for producing, which would be legally available at a new location as most material used for manufacturing IDs would not be illegal. This would encourage more interaction and make it harder to get, rather than facing an issue with every body carrying fake licenses, same as people do with masks/gloves. I think for names, could just compile a list of most common fnames/lnames and just have them chosen at random. The names could be taken from the current character database, which i assume at this point is massive. This way, names would be server common and would prevent metagaming by recognizing names that are IRL common.
  12. +1 Serves no real purpose
  13. Can't speak on SDs protocols, but will just explain PDs to give some context for requirements to shoot from a heli. Shooting from a helicopter is allowed when 2 conditions are met: The pilot is specifically certified, the certification is extremely difficult and most pilots fail due. Only SWAT who are certified with marksman/sniper can shoot from a helicopter and they can only shoot with those weapons. I think that this kind of situation would fall more on an IA side, due to a misuse of force or you can make a forum report about it.
  14. I would argue for DM rights on the hostage, a change to hostage rules that would allow you to take hostages if it is for a planned activity and a faction wide limit on hostage situation per X (could be a week, could be 3 days). To argue each point: At the end of the day, we all know its a game and we all know the rules. This leads to intentionally or not, ruleplaying which is seen from both sides. Cops know you can't just kill a hostage, due to lack of DM OR it being your friend. Crims abuse the "we have a hostage, you can't do anything" mentality. If you had DM rights on the hostage, regardless of DM rules, everyone would act accordingly that the hostage might die. Allowing for people to take hostages more freely, would create a much more diverse hostage situation. Right now its always 1 hostage, meaning there really is no negotiations and tbf the only thing 1 hostage should get you is reduced charges negotiated through good faith. Allowing people to take people at random, would allow for hostage situations to have more dynamic to it. You could actually negotiate by releasing some hostages, while still keeping others. It would allow for RP to progress beyond a single individual. A change to the hostage situation rules involving PD, making it faction wide. To balance out the ability to take and kill hostages freely, a faction wide restriction would be put in place to stop 1 faction from taking hostages multiple times for bank robberies and turning every bank into a 2h stalemate. This would force factions to plan, limit factions from doing banks on a timer and would likely lead to fewer, but higher quality bank jobs. You can still rob banks as much as you want, but with planning and multiple hostages you would likely have a better chance of running away with the money and free.
  15. While at the end, mechanic non-response has been passed down as an IC issue, I think we have reached a point where there needs to be some development intervention. Create a freelance towing job, allowing for a much wider reach, due to players being more willing to take part in this Vehicle can only be towed if either the owner or LEO does a /accepttow License Plate, this is to prevent random towing AS it if a scripted job, it is already rule protected from abuse, and people stealing cars like this will receive punishments. Could potentially restrict dropping the vehicle off impound or mechanics only This will not only help the players that have to wait for a long time, which im sorry, but is too much at this point, and will likely significantly decrease random broken down cars just littering the streets, due to people just leaving their vehicles cause they just cant spend 1h+ waiting for a mechanic.
  16. With the introduction of coroners, the ability to drop dead bodies off at MD was removed. This was likely to encourage the use of coroners, but unfortunately, the coroner job just hasnt payed off. While I am not suggesting to remove them, and if people want to post fixes for coroners, I think we should be able to drop bodies off at MD, rather than either calling for a coroner or dropping a body in a bush.
  17. +1 though I would like to expand a bit. Chopping would not require for you to be present, at the end you give the car to the guy to chop, not like you are helping him. Anyone could come and collect money, meaning that people would still need to be close to collect it, but if you have to run, someone would be able to profit off of it regardless.
  18. So as a lot of people have noticed over time, there has been 1 thing that every criminal does, and it is the Matryoshka (Russian nesting doll) way of stacking items. The reason people do this is that drug materials are a very inconvenient thing to pick up in larger quantities and the effective way of doing it right now is to abuse the stacking mechanic, by filling up briefcases and placing them in bags. The materials don't weigh 1, so they do not change the weight of the briefcases, meaning that if there were enough slots, you could have 1 million worth of weight if a 5 volume bag. To fix the issue, stop the stacking and make life a bit easier, I propose this: Change the weight of all drug materials to 1 or 2. Having it at 0.5 would likely lead to the same stacking, just easier. Allow for the stacking of drug materials, to align with literally every single other item in the game (you can stack drinks, food, ore, drugs, fish, etc.). The pros Will solve the painful stacking of material in briefcases in bags. People will still be able to do it, but it will be less efficient than just putting materials in a bag. Will fix the weight issue with 0.5 items, as they will no longer be 0.5. Meaning that the briefcases will not act as a magic box of infinite storage. Will allow for a smoother experience, which will require less drag and drop and more proper storage management. As you will be able to buy a full 50 inventory, place it in a bag and store the bag away. The more limited amount of materials you can pick up in 1 go, will encourage people to work more with other people to get the materials, due to the limited space that they will likely have. The cons Might seem too easy to get a lot of materials in 1 go, but if the weight is set appropriately, people wont just be able to get infinite materials in a single go. (A regular person will have ~200 space when going to humane labs, which would be 100-200 materials) Comment on anything else, cause I see this more as a QoL improvement than anything else. In general, it will save people from the trouble of having to stack bags to make drug manufacturing more smooth. Will also stop the absolutely ridiculous way that people pick up imported materials.
  19. They should just get the casino interior and keep it server owned, with maybe a faction to run it. I think giving it to players would be a waste.
  20. +1, would just be a general improvement in all aspects, rather than having to rely on either dropping stuff on the ground or having to use a vehicle to pass something.
  21. I think the bank timers should not be visible for anyone and they be random at 6-10 hours, so no one can expect when the bank will be available to hit.
  22. Multiple factions have organized racing events, so I do not think theres much need for any kind of scripting when its something thats been done before multiple times. Additionally, I think that Drag Racing is kind of dull when it comes to GTA, as straight line racing is very limited in both car mechanics and car upgrades. Additionally, I think the old bayview (The customs building you mentioned) is in use by a faction.
  23. If you think someone broke the rules, make a report.
  24. @Percival While the idea does sound cool, can't deny that, I think the hassle of it all would just make it non-functional once the few people who are even remotely interested in this, would feel like its too boring. People play the game to have fun, and I don't think there would be much of fun for people just sitting at 1 spot, answering phone calls and radioing to other people about what is happening. Call centers aren't fun, and dispatch would just be that. Additionally, one of the biggest issues I see, is that the game is fast. It is much faster than real life. In real life shootouts can last for a long time, here its 2-3minutes and its over. Stolen cars are chopped so fast that even with the current system its a challenge to get them back. Store/bank alarms going off is usually a sign that you already missed it, etc. Dispatch would add additional time to any response, with increased delay based on how few people are working the phones. I just do not see it working the same way that real life works. Making it work - The closest i think to making it work, would be the thing you said didn't work, assigning units to calls. Could still be looked at, due to the increase in server population, but it is something that is more IC than OOC, as it requires commitment rather than development. The thing that I think would be a benefit, would be creating an easy way to call back callers. The current system requires you to go through annoying extra steps to call the caller back for more information, so I think a simple command such as /call ID (where ID = call #), would allow for some officers to provide more detail while units are already responding. Which I think is the best thing we could expect, though as mentioned before, game speed might not allow for it to properly work, outside of "my car stolen, post bolo". This is also something that could have been potentially implemented on a smaller scale to see how it works at DCC. Problem is, whens the last time a person had to call for a taxi rather than just clicking on their phone for one. To conclude, I think dispatch even in real life is something that will become obsolete with time while on the server, it is obsolete already with our current systems that are just superior and the small benefit of getting extra information on some calls would not match the loss of response time to 90% of the other calls.
