  1. I agree but 1.1) Make it so that by default, it goes to the chat also, but you can toggle this with /toggleweazelchat (for example) 2.1) Remove these recurring ones after you get X experience. I think you should receive them up to a certain point - but it makes no sense for players to keep getting them after playing on the server for years, for example...
  2. -1. I have given this some thought and I think that, having played during the "council days" as LEO, I found this was very negative for both Illegal and LEO RP. Small gangs had no chance and big gangs just created battle-buses. I don't think this is the direction the server should move towards, instead, striving for more realism. If anything, I think that we should make these shootouts less likely by escalation and realism rule changes.
  3. I don't believe that I need to state that we are in the midst of another cops v crims thread. I will simply state that, having been a detective before, it's simply untrue that... The IC regulations don't really allow for this frequently at all. Maybe it happened a couple times over the course of years. Of course, detectives often go undercover as it's one of the best ways of gathering intelligence on a group. That being said, even that is extremely hard due to how meta the way the server's gang members play is...
  4. You are legends! Thanks for making ECRP better. Keep up the good work!
  5. I feel if there was a chance at failure, there would be better RP opportunities. Just make it so the lockpick doesn't always work or the drill sometimes doesn't breach through the vault. This brings this action with line with breaching houses or stealing cars. This will give Law Enforcement more time to realize the situation is ongoing and allow for a shift in bank robbery strategies making the smash-and-grab with BF400s less prevalent.
  6. Sounds like a great idea. Maybe we can create the San Andreas Park Rangers as an official faction.
  7. This isn't a bad suggestion per se, but it's frivolous at this point considering there are a lot of things about legal / illegal RP that should be enforced first when compared to when you log off. -1 for being too irrelevant at this point.
  8. int totalSeconds = "whatever you are currently sending to /jtime"; int hours = totalSeconds / 3600; int minutes = totalSeconds / 60 % 60; int seconds = totalSeconds % 60; Here is some pseudo-code. Then just send this is the new output of the function.
  9. I like the idea of doing this. I can give an example of people I think should be eligible - I have ~200 discords. Some people were banned because of being in a discord related to the community where some people were discussing DSO and they didn't report it [thus being guilty of DSO themselves]. Perhaps they didn't notice this or didn't give much importance at the time. However, it's been about a year and they are still banned. I think they should be given a chance to come back.
  10. -1. If it's urgent, 911 exists. If it's not urgent, PD/SD has IC forms for everything. No need to add more spam to PD/SD members' chatbox which is already very spammed.
  11. I have mixed feelings about this. I feel to a certain degree slurs should be allowed for characters whose main focus is to be racist for example, of which there are a few. Nevertheless, I feel that in the current rules I ask someone that is insulting me with slurs to stop and they say "cut /b". I just feel we need a bit more strict enforcement on when they can be used. Maybe one way is to make it so you can only say them in VoIP once per interaction and otherwise have to type it.
  12. This is a very detailed and comprehensive suggestion on how to improve the state of criminal RP on ECRP. I hope that at least a part of this is implemented and if it is determined that crim RP is too buffed, some sort of counterweight is added at the time. I believe there is a lot of potential here and look forward to following developments on this thread.
  13. Yes, buses obviously as well. An alternative solution would be to allow locking/unlocking (any / these) vehicles from control+x as long as you have keys to them.
  14. This is quite a simple suggestion: Certain GOV vehicles like the Fire Truck, Brickade or the RCV can't be locked from the inside or even close to the cabin, with the player needing to go to the centre of the vehicle to lock it. My suggestion is to make it so (at least) these vehicles have the old system, at least for now, where civilians can't start the engine. I assume the code for that is still available, and it's a matter of adding an if statement to check if the vehicle has the matching Hex. This is to avoid situations where an GOV worker steps out of one of these vehicles to be on a scene and someone quickly jumps in and takes it. Hopefully this doesn't turn into a Cops vs Crims topic and people can actually agree that it's a good idea not to have new players roaming around in stolen fire trucks or brickades every other scene.
