Our rules are expected to be followed by the player, not the character they are playing on and it is up to that player as a person to understand the rules as they stand. With respect, if someone is unable to follow the rules on one side (civ/crim/cop) but can on the other, that's just an issue on the player's end of rule comprehension. This suggestion will not be considered.

Longer term effects of outstanding charges/warrants for more fun RP
Ranger replied to garybruce's topic in Game Suggestions
Hoping to just offer some clarity on a couple points you made. I won't go into full detail on some things as it keeps the magic of how LEO (Law Enforcement Officers) might operate to be something you find out through roleplay means. Really, it just depends on what's achievable at the time. Sometimes on a scene it's very blatant who did something whether it's that an officer saw it, someone has bodycam (RP bodycam but OOC footage via recording software), or CCTV RP is done where you might receive an /ldo or be identified via that—there's many different things that might affect when/why a charge is placed. It's fairly common that with some crimes committed nothing can be done just due to a lack of evidence, in that case sometimes the only thing that can happen is increased patrols in the area to attempt to catch the person in the act again or prevent further crime. I've been on scenes where it was fairly easy and straight-forward on following up and arresting the suspect, and I've been on scenes where I've had to tell others "there's nothing we can do due to a lack of evidence", it's really just circumstantial. If the outcome is that a charge is placed, LEO can see any active/outstanding charges when running someone's name, it's really just up to the person actually having charges. Keep in mind that not every crime committed might result in immediate charges being placed, sometimes the Detective Bureau(s) will create and open casefiles and investigations on someone's character where a case will be built/investigated deeper and charges be placed later. Honestly, there's just the chance that no one reported it, or it wasn't able to be followed up on immediately/at all due to a lack of evidence. Also, you never know, maybe it was added to an aforementioned casefile and it's just being investigated/followed up on further in time and investigation. There's multiple avenues to build a case or investigate a crime outside of the scene itself that can build up to charges being placed. Warrants extend to all criminals outside of "arranged" RP, in my time as a part of an LEO faction I've assisted in serving multiple warrants some for people who were only charged the day prior and it involved killing other police officers and the person either escaped successfully and logged off and I've also assisted in serving warrants for people who've had 3+ month casefiles concluded and charges placed after the fact and they were picked up later. For situations like this, criminals will likely have a casefile made against them, it's just a matter of investigating their character and building cases as they do stuff. Like I mentioned in another part of this reply, there might've been circumstances where charges weren't able to be placed immediately at the time of the crime being committed. Overall, if you do have any proper suggestions or ideas for changes or improvements, a good avenue to do this would be to make a roleplay feedback suggestion through the faction's GOV site area—that'd probably be the best place to give any proper suggestions for review by faction command since it's a faction-based thing not necessarily a "server" change. -

Hey there, This was already mentioned in another post, but this is due to a weather type that's (currently) enabled within the server's weather rotation which will be removed in an upcoming patch.

We will not be changing a rule that promotes semi-realistic behavior during a wintery season because some cars don't look good with off-road tires. Park your car and buy a Truck/SUV, or put on off-road tires for a couple weeks.

After speaking with a developer regarding this suggestion, it was decided that at this time the current zones will remain. This may change in the future, but for now, fishing zones in the water will not be created.
