My name is Eva Hampton. I was arrested for having a SNS pistol instead of a pistol which I purchased at the gun store, with a valid license. It was an accident, and a cop came to arrest me for it almost instantly and that's fine. I explained it was an accident, and the cop proceeded to say that the gun was a unlicensed.... Fast forward I have a misdemeanor related to a gun and now can't get a gun for 18 REAL MONTHS. I think that is promoting illegal activity and I'm not sure if it's set up this way to stimulate the economy by having people buy other people's guns, etc but I think to mark people for this is absurd. Suggestion: You judge on a case to case basis. The officer gets to decide the time or some system with levels that the police can pick from with an appeal process.
