  1. Dont think theres a need to buff faction jobs, maybe increasing pay on factions that have a harder time maintaining people, but definitely not PD.
  2. -1 I don't think that creating a system that will punish people for not being online is a good thing. Before when cars didn't despawn, people still had the option of parking them to keep them safe, but there is no way to park a house and it would just lead to a lot of unhappy people who end up losing stuff with no way to retaliate.
  3. Added to the main part as an /ame would be a lot easier to add.
  4. When you press E to try and open a cars door, it should have the same animation as pressing F on a car - You try and fail on a locked car, you open the door on an unlocked car. There would also need to be an animation for the trunk and hood, as people would just switch to checking those while searching for unlocked cars. It is too common for players to run around checking for unlocked cars, without any visual indication that they are doing so, just looking for cars to steal without anyone really seeing any action performed. I would rather have this as a feature, rather than implementing additional rules for an action like this, as it is very much PG due to it not requiring you to even be facing the car to try and open a door. Or just a /ame upon doing that based on what they're trying to open if it's not possible; E Door > Player tries the door handle (if locked), E Door > Player opens the door (if unlocked)
  5. -1 I would much rather the afk timer be modified to pick up different actions for afk detection. Currently it is based on movement from point X, which is where the AFK triggered. Allowing for text chat to reset the AFK timer would be a nice start, so if you are sitting in one spot in RP, you dont have to worry about doing something. This could be extended to server commands/world interaction/VOIP. I would like for a AFK timer for factions, going to start with the obvious, PD. There is a very large amount of OOC activities that people do and it is a pain to want to get hours in while doing something in your browser. Could be a command as simple as /paperwork, which would make you unable to be afk kicked. Main reason is that we sit on the radio frequency as is, so can't hide away from people and due to the highest staff concentration on the server, would be easiest to monitor for abuse.
  6. +1 I like the idea, as Lipq mentioned, would be hard to make use of a radio interception script due to how Tac works, though could still be a possibility to allow someone to listen in on 911 (or SD freq), hearing a pursuit or a code 1 called or seeing 911 calls come in or even hearing dispatch (for those unaware, Dispatch shows who responded to what), all of these could allow for criminals to seize an opportunity and punish PD for over investing into a call.
  7. Problem with just out right hiding all IDs, is that it will create extra work for staff for player reports and will make in-game reports almost always forced to move to the forums. If let's say a bus injures you and drives away, the only way to get IDs would be through log checks, you could also be killed before managing to use a command to see IDs etc.
  8. I find the whole mask thing kinda hilarious. Big time criminals have a point to hide their face more than others, but then you have some new player whos first purchase is a mask. What is he hiding from? I do think that masks can be handled ICly though, if face concealment was removed as a citation and left just as a misdemeanor, people would stop wearing masks rather quickly, unless they had a reason to do so. The point of asking people to take their masks off is the same as asking people to not park randomly on the pier, it solves the issue for the full minute you are there and it goes back to what it was when you leave. Name tags through tinted windows, i agree and i try to keep myself in check as much as i can. Stuff like ignoring the name while im behind a vehicle and overall, it is something that is enforced in some ways, but is a hard thing to catch. But i think this goes beyond just PD. A solution to this would be some script support for hiding aliases unless the person is in clear view. We need to see IDs in case of rule breaks, but an alias should be the last thing you pay attention to. Speaking of aliases, maybe they should decay with time. At the end, we RP that the city is more populated than it is, and it is a weird situation where you can remember every single person you meet. A solution to this would be an alias decay, if you are not in range of a person you aliased for a week lets say, your alias is reset. This way the people you interact with on a daily basis would still be aliased, but the people you met once, got their name and didn't see for a month, that alias is gone. I am unsure of the amount of dev work that this would take, but it would stop the perfect memory that every player has. Third person camera is again, something that is far beyond just PD. PD uses it to spot guns, but crims use it for ambushes. Plenty of videos out there where someone just lays down in a completely hidden spot and uses 3rd person to see what is happening around them. I do not really see 3rd person going away, and it is hard to police cause at the end, we all play the game in 3rd person and benefit from that in 1 way or another. I do have to give credit to Aztecas, i don't know if they changed their clothing or are using a smaller gun, but that thing is concealed so much that i just can't push myself to act on it. CK being brought back would be an interesting thing, but it would have to be something that comes at a cost. The old CK system was just treated as a get out of jail free card and didn't exactly provide any value. I would think a CK would reset all of your aliases and your alias to everyone and maybe even cost something to do so (5% net worth?), could be argued for other form of losses. But it would allow for people who want to CK after a large conflict to start fresh and it could force people who don't value their lives to lose it and start over.
  9. I mean, i doubt that a criminal organization that is bringing illegal weapons, would just start making deals with some randoms. It creates RP between criminal organizations, random criminals and LEOs.
  10. I like this and i've brought this suggestion up to some other people as well. I would only argue to make the price lower than the current super car costs, simply because making supers cost up to 30mil, will just increase the value of some peoples supers by a lot.
  11. +1 could just allow the use of /low on phones without the need for extra commands.
  12. There is absolutely nothing stopping anyone from RPing in that manner.
  13. +1 At the end, if you're giving someone keys, you likely trust them enough to take care of your car.
  14. Date and time (provide timezone): Constant Character name: Tyrone Briggs Issue/bug you are reporting: When PD/SD use /swat, they go into their respective uniforms, gaining full armor and face concealment. If you crash/relog, you will be put back in the basic state without /swat gear on. The problem is that you can only /swat in a few locations on the map and it creates a large issue when you lose the anonymity and full armor during long situations. Currently staff members do accept reports and allow us to /swat, but fixing the issue would save staff some time and allow for the flow of the scene to continue without pause. Expected behavior: /swat should remain when you log back in, as long as it still treats you as on-duty when logging in. Evidence, notes worth mentioning, steps to replicate: Go on duty, use /swat in locker room, force crash/quit, relog > you will be back in the default starting of duty state. This issue could also be linked with reports about IB not maintaining their selected appearance and all of PD/SD/DOC losing selected weapons on relog. Vehicle license plate number*: N/A
  15. +1 Would make it a lot more clear when people are just scouting for unlocked cars. Could also be an animation that triggers, similar to how when you try to get in when the car is locked.
  16. -1 PD also does /frisk, so it would complicate things Just add a command /takecash, would only be available during a frisk, add a short timer and an /ame, to make it a smooth experience.
  17. Thats not a thing. https://gov.eclipse-rp.net/viewtopic.php?f=706&t=63959
  18. Like the insurance idea, could have varying degrees that could impact the cost and time from mors.
  19. -1 The robbery rule was a big boost to civilian RP, allowing people to not fear that they will just be robbed at any point for a burger and a GPS. It was partly due to that rule that the pier became a social hotspot, moving people away from always being at the bank. The robberies that were happening before the rule was implemented were basically the lowest form of RP on the server. Hands, frisk, leave, maybe toss in some /b. People who were robbing didn't really get much and it was just an inconvenience for the people getting robbed.
  20. Itali GTO is already in the game, its performance rivals supers so wont be a dealership vehicle.
  21. Ye, there is no way to see how long it was suspended (outside of checking logs). PD - https://gov.eclipse-rp.net/viewforum.php?f=24 SD - https://gov.eclipse-rp.net/viewtopic.php?f=956&t=21561 @Xamual Fuchs
  22. Based on the penal code and this being an IC issue, I would strongly advice to file an IA report, as the max time is 2 days (excluding child endangerment). Either someone intentionally gave you a longer suspension, maybe some miscommunication on how long the suspension actually is (could have told you the time, but used IC to OOC time conversion).
