  1. I agree there should be limitations on what underage players should do such as an older man going for a younger, under-aged female which we can all agree is not enjoyable role-play and is nowhere near an example of the ideal role-play scenario that one wants to see. However, I do not agree with the OOC age limit. There are rules in place that prevent younger players from bringing any form of OOC immaturity into IC and ultimately ruin immersion for other players. That would just be very unfair for younger people who are just trying to experience some decent role-play here on EclipseRP and I suspect that you are above the age limit and have a very biased opinion. Furthermore, I'm sure if statistics were pulled you would see that a vast majority of the player-base is made up of younger players. Lastly, if it were to be implemented like you are suggesting, a lot of younger people whom spent hours on the server would be robbed of their experience and what they built because a part of the player-base didn't want them to be part of their role-play on EclipseRP.
  2. This suggestion was made because although you have a fast car and can get away which is hard enough, officers can just put a bolo out for your car or track you through the license plate. What he wants is to be able to get away and not get tracked.
  3. Currently, the only way that a player can smoke is to illegally acquire weed. I think that this limits a significant portion of the population on the server from being able to any type of role-play that involves smoking. What I am suggesting is that cigarettes and cigars be added as a legal alternative to smoking weed. It would be great in role-play settings such as in meetings or at clubs. Furthermore, the addition would not be useless. Both cigarettes and cigars would give some kind of health boost in order to give people a reason to buy them on a regular basis. To further promote role-play, the cigar would cost more to show wealth and status. This would not be hard to add and developers would not have to make their own models as they are already a thing in normal Grand Theft Auto V. For distribution, either a new tobacco job can be made where people can sell directly to the server or decide to keep them and sell them on the streets. That idea would be very hard for people to make money off of so it would most likely be better implemented in the stores for a set price. Examples of role-play scenarios: -Meeting with a business partner to talk about important situations/deals. -Relaxing at a club doing your own thing. -Your player is from a race that is a common user of cigarettes/cigars. -You're stressed and want a way to show it rather than do /me or be audibly stressed. -Your gang is trying to portray itself as the mafia. -Cigars to show wealth and status without flexing your "super-car" or four-garage mansion.
  4. Major +1 Currently gangs cut out the market and what ends up happening is that players on the lower end of the spectrum are almost forced to have lower end weapons and cause a severe disadvantage.
  5. There would need to be prior interaction and some kind of decision for the hostage to make or else it would be power gaming.
  6. The report was not handled in-game, I made a report however the persons in question logged off before the moderator was able to do anything with the situation. Would also like to add that the moderator whom accepted the reported suggested that I take the report to the forums.
  7. Player(s) being reported: 16, 372, 233, 153 Date of interaction reported: 6/20/2020 Unix time stamp from HUD: 1592701019 Your characters name: Lester Acosta Other player(s) involved: 250 Specific rule(s) broken: 14. Deathmatch (DM) Deathmatching is the act of attacking a player without a proper roleplay reason and interaction. Examples of valid reasons to attack another player: • If they attempt to arrest or hurt you, an ally, or damage your property. • If they report you to the police for a serious crime. • If they are not in compliance with plausible demands, attempt to escape, or call backup. A player cannot kill their victim if the victim is in compliance with the demands. A player must allow their victim enough time to comply with the demands. If a player informs you that your VOIP isn’t working, you must either fix your VOIP using appropriate commands or use text to deliver your demand(s). Vehicles cannot be used to attack a player on foot more than once, including a failed attempt. Vehicles cannot be used as a weapon in an active shootout unless it's unavoidable when fleeing an active shootout. Killing a player that has obeyed all orders and demands during a roleplay situation is allowed, with roleplay, only within 3 hours of: Severe hostile or criminal action is taken against you, e.g. someone is robbing you at gunpoint. (Excluding police aiming a gun at you.) Someone is attempting to take your life. Someone is attempting to take the life of your close friend or ally, or if you have witnessed it happen. You must explain your reason to kill to the player IC and have OOC evidence proving your reason. 8. Non-Roleplay (NRP) Actions that are unrealistic or promote poor quality roleplay are considered as non-roleplay. Examples of actions that are considered as non-roleplay: • Swimming in water for an unrealistic amount of time or without a destination during a chase. Players who disconnect during roleplay must reconnect and inform other parties in order to resume roleplay. If you are unable to reconnect it may be excused after providing proof that would give you a valid reason not to return. Our official discord server has a channel dedicated to game crash notifications. In a situation where a player gets away from an incident where they're being chased/pursued, they must wait 15 minutes before they can logout. Players should not instigate roleplay situations if they do not have time to play it through. Players who ignore answering roleplay commands directed at them, e.g. /do. In a situation where a player’s game crashes or the player is kicked from the server, they should be allowed to have the same advantages as they have had before their leave. Players should not deprive other players of roleplay, e.g. early on the interaction asking them not to speak unless it makes sense in the roleplay situation. • Baiting Government Services - Provoking a reaction from faction services without a realistic reason / or calling faction services to e.g. rob them. • Mercy Killing - Asking to be killed by a friend (Killing a friend falls under deathmatching). • Unrealistic stunt jumping or the use of an expensive vehicle to ram into other vehicles. • Spawning a scripted work vehicle and using it for anything other than its intended purpose. • Submerging any vehicle in water or unrealistically beaching any watercraft. How did the player break the rule(s)? As can be seen in the video, I was robbed only one block away from the bank. That in itself is unrealistic because in real life obviously you wouldn't rob next to the bank where supposedly there are guards sitting around to make sure nobody breaks in. Then, they give me demands and before I can comply with them I am shot to my death. I did a /report and the admin mentioned that I should've got out of my car. Although some may argue it would've been the best course of action. I had a gun equipped and by the time I unequipped it in the scroll wheel bar I would have been dead either way. My car did not move a single bit as can be seen in the video and I did not attempt to drive away because it would break certain rules, however, although I tried to my best ability to follow the rules to provide proper role-play, I was shot next to a bank for nothing else but my pistol. I also want to add that multiple people showed up whilst they were shooting at me, proving my point that the place in which they robbed me in is not a safe enough place to rob a player and one pistol is not worth them ignoring the fact that there are people around. Evidence of rule breach:
  8. Powergaming (PG) Forceful roleplay that does not give the other player a chance to roleplay their own response is considered powergaming. Other players must be given a chance to roleplay outcomes of actions. Roleplay of unrealistic actions like super strength is another form of powergaming. All statements in /DO must be factually true in the roleplay as it sets grounds for roleplay. Roleplay is required before forceful server commands which may be used without consent from the other party if they are unresponsive and not typing for 30 seconds or more. A player cannot use the faction management script to destroy a faction as it is OOC. Government funded faction members must not abuse the salary system and must go off-duty when they are not performing their faction duties. If you perform an action which will influence potential RP in the future, you must have OOC evidence of performing said RP. OOC evidence should consist of a recording or screenshot and it needs to be timestamped (/time). RP would only be valid for 48 hours or until your character dies and NLR is triggered. The time limit does not apply to rule 7. How did the player break the rule(s)? ID 62 was powergaming because he was using his radio whilst in the back of my trunk to give callouts to his buddies who were chasing me whilst giving no chance to create any rp and ID 133 broke nonrp because he put himself in the way of a car going at high speed which ultimately would have killed him in real life which is not very realistic in terms of good quality rp. You can tell it was on purpose because his wheels were turning all the way to the left, it was very obviously not desync because he would not have been sent flying so far and my car would not have been stalled. 10. I personally don’t do ERP because it’s just simply not my idea of roleplay, however, I do think that to a certain degree it should be a private thing such as in the case of doing illegal things that people can use to meta. Although it may not seem like ERP is something very personal to some people and although a rule will be put in place, it is something some people would rather keep secret. I would expect people to have the decency to give a fair warning in certain scenarios. After all, people will use this OOC information to influence their IC thoughts about the people involved in situations like the ones mentioned in this post.
