  1. The reason you don't see speakers anywhere is because they do not work, not because they despawn (which they don't, as I have had a speaker in my apartment for months).
  2. Also, 3 vehicles by default, +2 for VIP owners, +X/ number of garage slots in your house. So if you got the credit apartments, 5 houses max (i think) and maxed out garage space, you would have ~35 vehicles. Cheaper option being 5 regular apartments, for an extra 10 car slots. But even without spending any real money, you could own at least 9 + any other partners you have in your business. The only script limitation would be how many vehicles can be out at any time/person, but that would be something that could be discussed if it starts being an issue and the demand is there.
  3. Would be cool to have something like this, but I just don't see a demand for this. To start off, i don't think it needs to be as complicated as it is in real life. There's no need for credit checks etc. But in regards to demand, there just isn't enough of it. People do already rent out vehicles, especially supers, and people have been using these services for a very long time. But most people don't care enough to rent a car, as it is not too difficult to get your first car when you're starting off and its just upwards from there. You do also have the scrapyard, which can provide vehicles for any illegal activity you would want to participate in or swap vehicles with your friend to avoid getting caught by plates, as a lot of people do. Lastly, to better check the demand for something like this, best would be to reach out to someone IC and see if something like this could be established in the current system. Business RP is picking up on the server, so best bet would be to experiment with whats available right now and move from there.
  4. To start off, its been almost 1 year, not 2. Secondly, I do not understand why people think that having a gun license is somehow essential for your character development. It is not. From what ive seen on the server, having a gun is gonna be the reason you get shot/robbed 9 times out of 10. Thirdly, GTA does not even disqualify you from Form B, and if you have stayed clean for so long, you should have absolutely no issues. And lastly, you can apply for any faction with just that charge, provided you explain yourself in a reasonable way and have not been committing other crimes. So no, you do not need to just make a new character, just spend some time learning about the different processes within each faction.
  5. -1 The only possible way it could potentially be added, is if the moment you start trying to cut the gate, an alarm would go out to the police. Considering how anti-fun this feature would be, this would be the only real way to balance it. Anything else would just ruin peoples experiences. More car theft options were brought up in other suggestions, such as having random cars spawned and parked in random locations.
  6. Theres only so many physical locations that are on the map, and at the end, even adding more physicals buildings, wont mean that newer players will be the ones buying them.
  7. If youre not happy with the pier, reach out to the government. Not only is this an IC issue, but PD has nothing to do with this.
  8. Most scripted jobs actually pay towards the top if not more, than any faction job.
  9. +1 I think that it could either be a faction or a freelance job. Would rather it was just a freelance job, offering people a cash payment per car towed, with a safety command that would allow for vehicles to be towed only if the owner or a LEO approves it.
  10. Omar Bishop, born and raised on the streets of LS. Mother was a junkie, father nowhere in sight. From an early age, the gang life was all that Omar had known. As a child, he would watch the streets and feed all the information he would get to the Ballas. With time, they trusted him with more and more. He started running drugs and at the young age of 13, he did his first hit. Everyone remembers their first kill, and for Omar, it is no different. Due to raising conflicts between The Ballas and The Families, violence became a daily practice. Omar was the right age and ambitious, wanting to prove himself. The OGs saw great promise in him, and entrusted him to hit the Families. Armed with nothing more than a pistol, Omar found a lone dealer from the Families, and shot him down. Following that, Omar was a full fledged Balla. His enthusiasm never faded and he was looking to prove himself at every chance he got. He climbed up the ranks fast, and it was looking like nothing could stop him. Nothing, other than themselves. The constant fighting, drew too much heat towards the Ballas, and they were facing an enemy they had no chance of beating. The Police. The conflict with the Families drew attention from the LSPD, which in turn, cause most members to either die or become incarcerated. Omar seeing the end of the Ballas, made the choice to get out of town and look for a new life. Years pass and Omar receives troubling news. His only remaining relative, his auntie, who took him in and offered him guidance through his entire life, had passed away. Thoughts of Family and Home, brought back memories about his past life, the good and the bad, and Omar decided that it was time to not only come back to LS, but it was time to show once and for all, that you are a Balla For Life.
  11. Just bringing this back to life, still believe it would be a good addition. Just doesn't make sense that a drill can open a bank vault but can't be used to crack open a simple house safe. Would also make VALID house raids better for both crims and LEO, as both require not only approval but SR admin+ on scene to open them.
  12. You need to have a map/gps in your inventory when walking around. It shows up while you're in a car probably because the car has a GPS in it.
  13. -1 I think there is no need for that, as current faction rules aim towards reduced scenes already, but still allows large gang activity. PD/SD will always respond in overwhelming force, especially when its a high danger situation. And it will likely lead to either more reports from people looking to report anything. This is not a TDM server or rust to create these kind of limits, bigger gangs should be able to make use of their bigger numbers. While LEOs will always try to overwhelm in response, as the last few months have shown - that low numbers just invite shootings. Overall it doesn't make sense to be rule restricted from helping your own gang.
  14. +1 Truckers yard is even a weird one to have, Would be better to have fast travel points to all faction jobs. I also wonder if it would be possible to add a "teleport to car" on server restarts, a lot of people end up being rolled back far away from their cars, so could be a nice QOL to allow people to travel to their cars rather than having to make reports.
