  1. Hello - can you please reupload your submitted POV! @Dexter Nevermore
  2. Pending review. Your patience is appreciated at this time.
  3. Hello There When it comes to staff submitted evidence there should always be 2 versions - one that is only viewable to staff (and contains staff chat) and one that is viewable to the reported player (and has chat hidden). Players need visible context of the situation regardless of whom is reporting them be it staff or otherwise. i will make sure this is reinforced to the team in our guidelines as it may have been forgotten over time. Thank you so much for making this post! x Aldarine Head of Player Reports
  4. I can only speak for the original topic and don’t want to contribute to any derailing so the last I’ll say in regard to your concerns @Woot_beerfloat is 2 things (and yes I completely understand if you view this as an HR type response and I apologize in advance if you do but this is my personal advice to you)… 1 - Please do look at the staff point of contact list and reach out if you have concerns about staff member behavior. We have checks and balances on that front for a reason and conversations do take place on all levels of staff when needed from Support to Executive HA. 2 - While I may not be able to do much in my position as you would hope for, I’m always open to listening if you’d like to reach out with concerns and possible solution brainstorming. I’ll always listen and bounce ideas around as long as it is constructive and not toxic, belittling or demeaning. I hope this helps even the slightest with your worries and then to the whole topic at hand I hope we see more transparency and communication for Discord reprimands as we work through new potential processes on the staff front as the discussions continue.
  5. While I hear what you’re saying @Woot_beerfloat I will respectfully say that you are somewhat derailing the purpose of this thread by bringing your personal situation into this as opposed to the original point being made and asked to be reviewed which is the overall ability to appeal and gain staff name/information. We’re not here to bash staff, talk about egos and such. Back to the original points - the discussion has been opened within the SA+ team and we aim to provide more transparency with timeout/ban reasoning for players in the future.
  6. To return back to the original suggestion at hand, @Bala I do find your suggestion to be reasonable lets say in the event of a timeout in excess of a day. Typically timeouts of shorter length are very clearly known and are meant for people to chill out for a bit and just step away. When it comes to giving a name, that is a bit hit or miss as any appeal put on the forums can be backtracked and the name provided at that time. Names provided prior can result in harassment of the staff member by some individuals if they have yet to cool down. Thoughts?
  7. Interesting thought! Will edit this response when I’m out of work and have more time. x Aldarine - Head of Player Reports
  8. Thank you so much for all the input thus far! I really appreciate the thoughts and ideas and will be working on seeing how we can make what you want to see happen! Keep the ideas rolling in be it small or big events!
  9. Hello Eclipse Community, As many of our community members are aware, the server’s Event Team creates events throughout the year with activities such as races, fairs, etc. that anybody can participate in. While these events are a fun way for the community to come together, we do understand and acknowledge that there are players on our server who would like to see events more geared to their style of play. This is, of course, our criminal/illegal community. In the past, we have attempted to bring large scale server wide illegal events to the server and unfortunately these events did not end well. Some of our older playerbase may recall the Airplane Crash and the Money Truck Heist, both of which resulted in many reprimands and eventually the indefinite halt of large scale illegal events hosted by the server. With that said, we are excited to announce the revival of server run/supported illegal events for the community. While this is still a work in progress, as staff we are looking into how to effectively bring these events back to the server. It is understood that many in our criminal playerbase find themselves doing the same thing every day which admittedly can get a bit repetitive and can lead to boredom/lack of enjoyment. Bringing these events back to the server is not something we are taking lightly. There will be lots of monitoring as well as a large dependence on the community to uphold standards and work together to create a positive outcome. We want this to succeed and for our illegal players to have something new to be a part of. If you have suggestions on events, guidelines or anything else that you as a community member feel needs to be considered or heard, please do let us know. We expect no bickering when hearing feedback and having a discussion as a community. Sincerely, Aldarine & Lewis Housekeeping Rules For This Thread Any bickering back and forth or arguments will be met with an immediate restriction/mute on the forums. All suggestions are welcome and nobody should be here to criticize others suggestions - what is and is not implemented is not for you to decide Be reasonable with your suggestions. We will not be hosting a purge night, last man standing event, etc. Keep our community goals and standards in mind when making suggestions Toxicity and snide remarks will not be tolerated. This will also be met with an immediate restriction/mute on the forums as well as potential OOC Behavior admin punishments If you have an idea or concern you do not want to post publicly, please send me a FORUM MESSAGE Be creative and insightful - this is an effort for YOU and your enjoyment in the server
  10. I love the rain and am not in support of it being changed simply because one does not like it. I do understand the need to change it in the case of an event considering it does suck planning a beach party for weeks and then it rains (yes I understand that happens in real life but it's pretty poo for that to happen in a video game we play for enjoyment) Bias Note: /panim umbrella has been my DREAM since I started on this server
  11. Oh, do not get me wrong - I am more than happy to admit there are many things that would be on the table for review for an idea like /detain (or any similar scripting) to come to fruition. It would require far more than the 5-10 minutes I took to write my post I do not necessarily believe there to be any ill will when there are delays in getting people where they need to go and I have seen many times over my years (even being on the receiving end myself) delays due to others being silly peanuts or people being difficult. I have personally been detained for approximately an hour for a crime that required no investigation on my part (I was outright guilty and there was 0 argument) to then serve a sentence that equated to less than my total detainment. Was it a fun experience? Unfortunate it was not and I spent the better part of the hour trying to stay awake (it was 2am by the time I got to DOC). I know there are circumstances outside of control and I also know that things have gotten far better compared to before. Is there room for improvement? Always - I’m just not sure of what the end all best way is. P.S Hi darling, I miss your face!
  12. Prison time comments aside because let's be real, they've been lowered already and the time should serve as a deterrent to doing crime, there's no need to lower it further right now, I do understand the concerns regarding detainment and do think there is possibility for improvement. The perspective I am looking at it from is simply from an interactive side. While being detained or pending transport, yes there can be outside factors that slow down the process which is understandable, however, this delay usually come with a lack of interactive roleplay with the people whom are waiting. I respect investigation, managing a scene, and all that goes with it, and want to encourage people to continue going about their roleplay. I also do understand that waiting in a holding cell or bus twiddling your thumbs with no roleplay or engagement is not what anybody wants to do or subject anybody else to. I think we can all agree that there have been times where people have waited for a very long time of no fault of their own to only then serve their sentence which they would have ideally started serving a while prior and it can feel "unfair" for lack of better term. That said, if there was a way (via script) to formally detain somebody and count that time towards their overall sentence (within reason - more on this below) I think that would be a decent compromise. It would still give the ability for investigation, scene management, etc. while at the same time give acknowledgement to the time that individuals are waiting to start their sentence. Example.... A shootout takes place where two (2) suspects are apprehended and three (3) officers sustained injuries. The suspects are cuffed, all the other fun LEO jazz happens and they are placed in the back of a cruiser. When the suspects are cuffed, LEOs do /detain PLAYERID. Medics arrive on scene and attend to the injured officers. The two cuffed individuals are still in the cruiser waiting as this roleplay takes place. The injured officers provide in depth back and forth medical roleplay which takes a decent amount of time. Three (3) new players (remember we love them) arrive on scene and act like little silly peanuts, hindering the ending stages of the investigation and available officers on scene spend a significant amount of time getting them under control. The cuffed individuals have now been waiting in the cruiser for 30+ minutes. Transport finally takes place and the individuals are taken to DOC where they go through processing and all the other fun DOC jazz. When /prison is done, the amount of time under /detail is subtracted from their overall prison time remaining to be served. A "cap" would be in place so no matter how much time you are detained, you are still required to do X amount of time of your sentence, only X% of your time in detainment is removed from your sentence, or some other way to balance it. I do not support the idea of time fully served and think there should still be the DOC part of every sentence. This gives the balance of roleplay still coming to those within DOC so the faction members are not simply glorified inmate processors (compare this idea to the offline time reduction with required time served in DOC).
  13. I do not understand how this has turned into an argument. OP is welcome to make a suggestion and give their explanations and how it can better the server. Others are welcome to respond back with thoughts in a polite and respectful way. We're not here to do this silly little crim vs leo dance or compare the two. Keep to topic or this will be locked. That aside - OP, thanks for the suggestion. It is a great thought to bring forward and I for one do support some changes on the front of spawned vehicles. No department has a limitless stash of vehicles in perfect condition and replicating that sentiment in some capacity in this server can add to people valuing their vehicles and just making different decisions in the day to day.
  14. Thank you for the suggestion. At this time there is no intention to increase the member cap and it will remain as it stands at 30. - Faction Management
  15. With the large number of adjustments and internal needs there are for this project the time line has been pushed, however, discussions are still being had to bring everything to fruition. As the information reaches a point for more disclosure/update, official announcements will be posted for all players. There are no official updates at this time. Apologies for the inconvenience and the wait. - Faction Management

  18. I wish I had more time to give a proper response to this but alas I’ll keep it brief. I do not completely disagree with you on some things but I am also aware of a lot more barriers in place to make this feasible than you may think - some of which come from players themselves. I can’t do into full details because of a mix of time and private information but if you are open to it please do send me a forum pm (so I can keep everything tidy to look over) and we can chat more. It’s not simple navigating certain things and finding that balance to bring things more IC but I’m here to make the efforts.
  19. I go through them when time allows as there is more to it than simply pressing a few buttons. If you do not want to browse them then feel free to avoid going to the next page - recently updated threads will always be at the top. Nothing wrong with having more access to player made roleplay stories, and who knows, maybe they will inspire other players too! It’s not hurting anybody by sitting there for a little longer.
