  2. If you want to continue commenting on this thread please reference the original post and comment solely on your thoughts for this RULE SUGGESTION. Failure to do so will result in posts being removed and the thread potentially locked. Please stay on topic and cease the back and forth PD vs Criminal banter that gets us nowhere - either stick to specific thoughts on the Non-RP suggestion or refrain from commenting. Thank you in advance.
  3. +1 Overall For quite some time I have wanted to see car thefts become something a bit more engaging and all around difficult to be honest. I find it fairly unrealistic that just a simple bobby pin is all that is needed to get in and start a vehicle. There simply needs to be more to it which I think hotwiring can assist with. Along with this, upgradable security is a nice thing to consider as well although I would rather this not require assistance from official factions (decoder). In addition I would like to suggest perhaps having to maintain said security for your vehicle as opposed to a one time modification payment which would not only provide a money sink but also promote continuous/regular traffic for mechanic shops and push people to further value their vehicles. Finally, I would highly advocate for some type of repair kit. There are a lot of vehicles that get abandoned when they stall/run out of gas and time/resources get wasted trying to snag these only to find out they cannot move. Repair kits shouldn't allow the vehicle to move very far or for very long so it would still require thought on when it is beneficial to use them on an abandoned vehicle. Just some rambling food for thought here after thinking about this for a long time. Very good suggestion OP!
  4. +1 To all vehicles having this capability and introducing hotwiring as a part of vehicle theft
  5. The wait times and restrictions regarding gun licenses is not an OOC matter - this is something handled IC. In regards to the ability to conceal a firearm, that is a game suggestion and I implore you to look at the linked suggestion above and comment your thoughts there.

  7. While I do agree that some adjustments could be made to current static labs I am also not blind to the complaints or the general lack of perception to what was actually going on in the server prior to these updates. On a fairly consistent basis there were complaints regarding people calling 911 on a drug lab when never even being on the premises and the lab subsequently going inactive for a considerable amount of time or the continuous "person X is metagaming X lab and driving around - doesn't X faction have rules against this?" Along with this, there is absolutely nothing, and I truly mean nothing, stopping any gang/criminal organization from interacting with each other without the use of static labs. To think that static labs was a main contributor to roleplay between criminals is simply false for the most part. In the past you would see the exact same criminal factions holding down a lab for hours/days and get the occasional passerby asking "who has this lab?" If it was an ally, cool, they may stop by and chit chat or listen to music. If it wasn't then there may be hostilities. Now, I am not negating that there was social interaction within these labs as I have personally had dance parties on the LSD roof myself, but to make it seem like static labs were akin to the epitome of roleplay interactions is just not true as this suggestion makes it seem. Ultimately we are in a roleplay server and all players should look to properly roleplay with one another and not solely rely on scripted means to partake in such things. These so called "declines" in criminal roleplay are not due to script adjustments but are reliant on the player base. As of right now, nothing is stopping people from going to labs as groups, holding them down, cooking and having good roleplay interactions among themselves or others who roll on past - my own faction already successfully does such. Again, as stated previously, I do believe adjustments overall can be made and these have been mentioned in prior posts while I implore all posters to search for an add their own contributions to for more exposure and potential implementation.
  8. -1 I feel that the time to get your vehicle back from Mors is fairly adequate especially combined with the fact that vehicles despawn 2 hours following the player logging off which decreases the risk of a vehicle being sent to Mors in the first place (I have personally gone "hunting" for vehicles to chop and there were very few available due to the despawn). Players should be mindful of their vehicles and keep them in safe locations/parked and suffer actual consequence to not protecting their assets. Along with this, having multiple vehicles to swap between is very common and people do this all the time when their cars are chopped or impounded.
  9. As much as I see how this would be overall beneficial to people who want to be around moving, I find it highly unrealistic to be able to self treat multiple stab wounds, hatchet wounds, etc. to the extent of being able to walk around and use pills to extend your time being in a "normal" state. If somebody gets stabbed a considerable amount of times, they wouldn't get very far and moving would ultimately make them bleed out faster. Painkillers shouldn't be seen as something life prolonging, they just numb the pain but don't realistically stop you from potentially dying. Ultimately I am not sure where the middle ground for this would be to be quite frank, just thought I would share tid bits that would relate to this suggestion.
  10. Meeting The Vatos Even with prior connections meeting people through the years it’s always common courtesy to reach out and reacquaint. It helps to have friends and when common interests align it’s good to have people you can work with. Keeping this in mind, Leah mentioned reacquainting with Aztecas to Jace especially in light of some new goals she had in mind. Following a few back and forth texts, 2 meetings were set up, one private, one meet and greet. To begin, a private meeting with a very important woman was on the agenda. Multiple matters needed to be addressed - one being people, another being familial affairs, and the last being REDACTED. Going off without a hitch, all sides walked out of the meeting with positive thoughts and potential plans for future relations. [Discussion regarding REDACTED and the potential for working together] When you find one Azteca, there are surely more to follow. Simply meeting with one would never be enough and being two who believe in proper communication, Leah and Jace were very eager to meet with more people and take proper steps for formal introductions. Expanding on the meeting, in depth details were discussed and multiple numbers exchanged. A weight was quickly lifted off of Leah's shoulders when laughter filled the room. Even with relation talks, it was always good to know you could kick back and enjoy a moment of light talks. Now, it was just time for people to start meeting one another. [Establishing proper relations with a few laughs here and there] [Small yet formal meet and greet to start building lifelong bonds founded on trust and respect] The meetings were short but beneficial and this truly felt like a step in the right direction. Truthfully, only time will tell how everything shapes out but in the meantime, it was a job well done. Now, time to scroll through contacts and on to the next...
  11. E Così Comincia... | And So It Begins..... Chi si volta, e chi si gira, sempre a casa va finire. No matter where you go or turn, you will always end up at home. Leah Lennox moved to San Andreas for a simple reason - a job. It’s what she did, day in and day out. If there was a contract she wouldn’t turn it down. It was in her nature, it was how she was raised. You go where the money is so you can take care of yourself and your family. Few people understood but when Leah got that first call from longtime friend Jace Bianchi, she knew it would be worth it. With haste she grabbed her passport and a small bag and boarded a plane out of Venice. The city of Los Santos had a lot to offer and even after the proposed job fell through, Leah found it was hard to leave. She wanted to see things through. Working with Jace in the past, she knew he was one she could trust and if San Andreas had something for him, it may have something for her. A return flight to Italy could wait… a few more days. Days turned to weeks and passed on to months. While it was good while it lasted, the thought of flying back was quickly inching it way to the forefront of Leah’s mind. Her fingers were twitching and she needed another job. Boredom was striking and there was nothing really left. She never stuck around anywhere for long so it was just another chapter to finish. Knowing she couldn’t leave without properly parting with the one who brought her here, but he was nowhere to be found. Days passed with no contact before finding out he was meeting with a name from the past. Paul, a well respected name that she called boss and family. Was Jace really doing what he said he would? It was a brave and bold move to ask Paul for his blessing branching off from our work. While some call it flattering, others can call it betrayal. Paul was reasonable though… right? Nerves ran through Leah for days as she scouted Los Santos finding potential locations for a HQ in the event that blessing was received. Her search was a success but there was no word from Jace. It was time for a trip to Italy… just for a check. The trip to Italy became an ordeal all its own, a story for another day. Returning back to Los Santos with no sight of Jace or word from Paul or the rest of the family, the worry was overwhelming and exhausting. Unbeknownst to her, a simple beep of her phone would have the potential to change her life. Returning to her apartment, Leah tracked the days as they passed, thoughts as to the outcome of the talk with Paul tirelessly running through her head. The Mafia doesn’t allow for separation. Your family is your everything and to attempt to separate for your own you’re typically met with… well that was Leah’s job. - Late afternoon, August 23 - Sighing as the faithful day came, Leah opened her closet and pushed aside a slew of hangers and stared at the clothing bag hanging off a black hanger. If things went bad, the outfit wouldn’t matter but if things went well… it was time to work and reintroduce Ms. Lennox to the family.

    The Lost MC

Fresh Start | New Beginning Late nights, constant arguments and dealing with a young male rebelling against his parents. If anybody asked Dove Jackson what her days were like that would be the answer. The headaches were harsh, motivation low and it was all just... exhausting. Liberty City was no longer what it used to be and a change of pace was needed. She couldn't do it anymore. Dove could no longer watch herself fall apart from having nothing. It was time for the Jacksons to try something new. - San Andreas - Dove's husband, Rico Jackson, was always there - always supportive, always thinking forward and always a bit of a pain in the ass. It was his idea to move to San Andreas and see what the city of Los Santos could provide. Maybe now things will get better. There was still something missing. Was it the breeze running through her hair during a late night bike ride or the rumble of motorcycles heard during a group ride that became music to her ears? Dove Jackson missed everything about Lost MC and parting ways with a group that became an extension of her family cut deep. Los Santos felt wrong. It was too much city, not enough distress. Too much polish and not enough rugged. Dove was a puzzle piece in the wrong set and it was just... wrong. Riding northbound with her husband and son in tow was more her style. The air was different, the sound more hushed. Clanging metal and the roar of bikes guided them to the depths of Stab City where Dove came face to face with Jax Thorpe who informed the Jacksons of the intention to rebuild Lost MC, wanting to see it rise from the ashes left behind in Liberty City. They found it. They found home. The invitation to help rebuild and reestablish was met with quick nods and a renewed sense of purpose. Things were going to be different now. Not only did she have her family by her side but Dove also had the remnants of what she thought she was forced to part with. Once a biker, always a biker. It was time to rise from the ashes. It was time to ride.
  13. +1 I am in full support of a timer along with an additional /ame being displayed. Great suggestion!
  14. Again, my last statement still stands, valid as well I may add. It is best to reach out to your faction leadership regarding this clarification and additional rationale and explanation can be provided/elaborated on. There tends to be much more context to a situation and ruling than what people may believe by looking at things absent the full picture. Your High Command would have insight into what you can/cannot do while remaining within the bounds of our rules as well as clear up and misconceptions and alleviate concerns you may have.
  15. @Kyle White Raven Ultimately, I have no "opinion" per-say in this matter aside from one that directly corresponds to enforcing server rules. Within the conclusion you are referencing, it was deemed that there was ultimately a breach in server rules as deemed by a Head Administrator. When there is a ruling on a breach in server rules, of course this is an OOC matter and has been deemed as such due to non-accordance and lack of compliance with our rule set. Situations are reviewed very thoroughly and again I have absolutely no doubt that proper and thorough investigation was done by one of the longest standing members of our community and staff team. This is irregardless of how many times things like this have happened and no new rule has been placed - it is simply reiteration and clarification of our present rule set that may have, at some point in time, been lost by however many individuals. Clarification for proper knowledge and understanding is not something bad but just reinforcement of guidelines we have in place. I would encourage you to reach out to your High Command and the leadership within your faction to see where the present footing regarding charging somebody is. They are the best people capable of giving the best clarification regarding what is and is not appropriate and considered as irrefutable proof of identity while maintaining compliance with our rules.
  16. Simply on the note of recognizing somebody by their voice - as somebody who has multiple characters, it is somewhat concerning the amount of times I am incorrectly recognized and questioned simply due to the way I sound. Players are allowed to have multiple characters and should they decide to utilize VOIP, their characters would all sound exactly the same unless they go out of their way to use a voice changer. Recognizing somebody by their voice while masked and placing charges that would strip them of money as well as time can easily be countered by ensuring that the individual is properly identified. A hunch can be very well intended and many things can line up, however, if multiple people decided to all type and dress the same, how could one possibly tell the difference and correctly place charges? I do not in the slightest believe this decision was in attempts to discourage anybody but moreso to encourage continuation of investigation and prompt more thoughtful expansion on charge placing while remaining within Non-Roleplay rules. As mentioned within that conclusion, a Head Administrator stated that conversation was had with necessary members of these factions and such a decision would not have been ultimately made unless it was following the intention to provide a rule abiding, positive and enjoyable experience on the server for all involved.
  17. All bans can be appealed and there is no cool down on the first appeal you make. It can very well only be a short ban if appealed properly for a true mistake depending on the review.
  18. Just for reference, the final line of Rule 3 Character Creation and Property specifically states: Transferring assets between your own characters requires an approved transfer request.
  19. On 12/7/20 @Timmaayy and I tested this bug for more information. We have found the following: 1. Spawning a flatbed does not cause crashes 2. Loading a car onto the flatbed and driving away will cause the players who were in the vicinity when the car was loaded to crash after the flatbed drives away out of render distance 3. Loading a bike seems to potentially cause crashes but proximity behavior is odd (I was right next to the flatbed when the bike was loaded but did not crash after it drove away however 2 others did). Update: Loading a bike results in the same behavior as the expected crash for other vehicles 4. Driving away an empty flatbed does not cause crashes 5. The driver and the passenger in the flatbed do not crash ----------------------------------------------------- Replication: 1. Spawn a flatbed 2. Load a vehicle on top of the flatbed with players in the proximity to the flatbed 3. Drive the flatbed and loaded vehicle away 4. Players who were there when the car was loaded will crash
  20. +1 Along with the possible implementation of one of the following: 1. A public wanted list. This would allow criminals a way to also check if they are wanted as well as promote a form of "head hunting" roleplay should somebody want to go down the avenue of assisting LEOs with information that may lead to the arrest of a wanted criminal. I 2. A private wanted list. Only those who do the command or whatever else, see if they are personally wanted. In reality people would be very well aware if they are a wanted criminal and I believe that we should be sure that criminal roleplayers on the server have the ability to be notified if this is the case.
  21. +1 Still very much in support of this suggestion even with the recent implementation of robbery rules. I have spent some time at the pier as of late and there are more people there which adds to the overall immersion. If the pier could become a social hub for people especially with scripted things to do I think it would be a step in the right direction for civilians and the promotion of casual social roleplay. Of all the scripted NCZs I think that the pier would be perfect for really highlighting what a NCZ can/should be used for.
  22. +1 I very much like this suggestion. Good thought on this one.
  23. @Felcon Community members are free to provide update feedback on the forums which are regularly looked at and appreciated especially following a server update.
  24. I respectfully still completely disagree. There is a difference between testing features to see if they work and obtaining community feedback following the push of an update. One deals with confidential information that the staff team is privy to and the other is overview of a community response and adjustments to features. Adjustments will always happen based on input from our playerbase from experienced to inexperienced players but that does not go hand in hand with trying to break something and exploit bugs.
