  1. Very good idea! I will look into following up with the Faction Management Team within the Staff Team and see if it goes anywhere. I think this whole conversation has been very productive and can potentially improve/expand on all avenues of roleplay within the server.
  2. I absolutely agree that the end goal should be to change how drug labs work but of course that is locked behind scripting barriers that take a lot of time and hard work from our developers. In the meantime however I do believe some things can be implemented, the biggest one of which being: - Drug labs can only be destroyed following proper investigation/evidence of active use. Under all other circumstances they should be viewed as chemical storage shelves for miscellaneous purposes as there is no confirmation beyond a reasonable doubt that these locations are being utilized for illegal activity. I believe that is something fairly simple that can be added to the already in place protocols for LEOs regarding drug labs. I would be very keen on hearing from faction heads in regards to this suggestion as a bandaid to the problem until we can get improved lab scripting.
  3. Would you mind elaborating on any point that you're not in agreement with for reference and constructive conversation? In regards to leaving the lab alone if nobody is there, I have to say that is very admirable of you. If that was the case all around I think that labs, in their current state, would be good for criminals who are very limited on their opportunities on the server (Note: I have full confidence in saying this as I have played on a legal character my entire time here on ECRP and have delayed making a criminal for a while due to limited opportunities. I have now made a criminal character and in just a few short days have experienced firsthand the limited nature of criminal roleplay). I have personally witnessed nobody using a lab and the lab still getting destroyed (I was on Fire Department duty with LSEMS and took part in the lab destruction following a department radio call and there was not a single suspect at the location or being removed from it). There is absolutely no actual reason for that. I wholeheartedly believe that utilizing some of my earlier suggestions will assist in increasing RP on all sides - Criminals have to organize escape plans and hiding evidence to clear out labs leading to better communication and more detailed RP and LEOs would have to investigate active use of the lab.
  4. Back to the original topic of the post I think we can all agree that random 911 calls regarding drug labs are silly especially if calling from an NCZ. Perhaps something to consider while awaiting new drug labs/criminal update is for drug labs to either be reported in person or you have to be on the premise/incredibly close to the lab itself for the call to be valid. I personally do not think that making a call about a drug lab from an NCZ should be allowed at all. It is borderline abuse of the NCZ script considering that you are protected from somebody DMing you for calling the police on them and can just camp there. Something like this would also assist in alleviating in the whole "see people at lab, drive down the road, call 911, report it, keep driving to the next lab" that I have personally witnessed both on a legal and criminal character. LSPD/LSSD should also consider doing more when receiving a call about a drug lab. How does the caller know that it is a drug lab? Were they inside? Did they cook? Were people seen cooking? These are all questions that can be asked prior to rolling up on a lab and also provide potential consequences on the person who made the call. Being on the grounds of a lab is not a crime and labs shouldn't be destroyed unless somebody is actively using it in my opinion. Realistically it could just be a shed filled with random ingredients and you wouldn't actually know it was a drug lab unless you see somebody cooking or you yourself know the use (which comes from learning the recipes). If a medic gets a 911 call from just outside a lab yet sees nobody cooking or anything, how can they be certain it's a drug lab? If they call PD/SD, should they investigate first? Perhaps extend RP on that scene by testing the ingredients, inspecting the cooking utensils, etc. to confirm it was just used to make drugs and isn't just a glorified chemical storage locker. Ingredients such as acetone, ammonia, powdered lime, etc. have other IRL uses and are not solely drug making materials which I feel a lot of people do ignore.
  5. +1 I think it's a bit much to combine makeup with plastic surgery and the incredibly high price. It would be nice to have a store where you can just adjust make up or add it to barber shops (along with more chairs)
  6. +1 I would much rather see vehicles only enter a shootout to provide cover or extract, not participate in the attacking via ram.
  7. -1 this has been suggested multiple times and turned down for the exact reasons as above... just no
  8. I honestly wouldn’t be opposed to something being enforced until drug labs get a revamp. Lab locations are stationary which have a massive drawback. Anybody who is having a bad day or anything can just go lab hopping and call from outside without even knowing if anybody is inside or not just to get labs destroyed - they can even go to Sandy MD and call from there while receiving NCZ protection. It’s a bit of a broken system for 911 calls and labs. I wouldn’t be opposed to having to physically go to SD or PD to report it or something else that would make things a bit more fair.
  9. Personally I don't think punishments should ever expire/be voided unless an appeal is accepted. One of the biggest reasoning for this is because people can end up doing the exact same thing they did previously to get the expired punishment. I think something that may be better is to increase the categories of punishments. Right now a lot naturally falls under Non-RP which I believe is compensated by how many infractions you can get but it could still be divided into different categories. Players should also be aware that your punishment history is taken into account during the appeal process which is why many state that they have been playing for a while without any infractions.
  10. I believe this is something that, if made, should be done following consulting with Senior Staff to ensure compliance with metagaming as well as ruleplay.
  11. -1 for the same reasons as stated previously
  12. I've seen a decent amount of suggestions related to expanding on the fishing in the server to make it more immersive as well as increased opportunities (ie: different types of fish, different fishing areas, etc.) so ultimately I am supportive of anything that can continue expanding on this. I do think that water desync needs to be fixed before we do a lot in regards to water related things but I don't see any issue with adding a 4th boat to the server considering we already have 3. Having options is nice and adds to RP/immersion. Overall +1
  13. As stated in this above quote, you can already do this you just need to find the opportunity to do so.
  14. -1 This just sounds like a pathway to ruleplay to me as well as metagaming considering people will end up purchasing vehicles solely off that list for the purpose of ramming.
  15. Name: Nicole “Nicky” Crawford (formerly Torres -> Harper) Date of Birth: 18/SEP/1990 Nationality: Puerto Rican Relationship Status: Single San Andreas Department of Corrections Correctional Officer III Correctional Emergency Response Team Specialist Operative On the morning of September 18, 1990, Leslie and Nicholas Torres welcomed Nicole into the world at Traverse General Hospital. Born into a wealthy family, Nicole grew up with access to better food, higher quality education in the comfort of her own home, and novelties many could not afford. Even though they moved around every few years, from Puerto Rico to the inland States to Europe, there wasn’t much to complain about and life was great - until the week following her 15th birthday. The night four men in dark suits took her father away was a day she would always remember. Left with her privately depressed mom and no explanation of why her father wasn’t coming home. Nicole did what she could to support her mother while digging into the mysteries surrounding her dad. The more she dug, the worse the truth became. Following days of sneaking, talking, and eavesdropping, Nicole finally hit gold. Her father, the loving, caring, and respected Nicholas Manuel Torres, was second in command of a firearm and drug trafficking ring. The groups of men always at the house playing with her in the backyard and whispering to her dad started to make sense. The countless hours of weapons training she went through with her dad and “uncles” started to click. The frequent “fix your stance” “lead with your right” “1, 2, dodge, hit, hit” held new meaning. Of course, following this discovery, Nicole did what any shocked and sheltered 15 year old would do and went to her mother. What a mistake that was. Leslie, having her nightly pre-coma date with vodka, knew it all and spilled every dirty detail to Nicole. Talk of drugs, bribes, and possible murder shattered everything Nicole loved and believed in. Her world was rocked to the core. For the next 2 years, Nicole lived a double life. During the day she was the home schooled rich girl who laughed and smiled in public with her mom. Once the neighborhood porch lights turned off, she snuck out of the house to drink, experiment with drugs, and flirt with danger with her new group of “friends.” It became her escape from all the craziness in life. There was no point truly being “perfect” when only disappointment was waiting around the corner. Waiting it was. Nothing really can compare to having your father taken away from you at 15 and coming home to a scribbled “You’re a pain” note on the fridge of an empty house at 16. Not only was her father gone, but now Nicole had absolutely nobody to turn to. Word of her family disgrace quickly spread through the grapevine. From the sins of her father to her mother abandoning her for alcohol with a sprinkle of her nighttime misbehaving on top. There was no more hiding from the truth and no more trying to maintain a squeaky clean image. It just wasn’t worth it anymore. Making a life on your own as a 16 year old isn’t the easiest feat. Selling drugs, picking pockets, and swiping from stores was the only real way. From this, Nicole had her fair share of bump ins with law enforcement. Most of the time she was thrown in holding as a slap on the wrist, other times a kind judge would verbally reprimand her then send her back into the streets. Judge Brett Harper had a heart of gold but his patience was wearing thin. After the 10th meeting in his chambers, the judge finally put his foot down, threatening real jail time if Nicole stepped out of line one more time. On the exterior Nicole didn’t care about jail but on the inside she shivered with fear. How would she survive without her street methods? Jail time, at this point, was seemingly inevitable. She worked the streets but it was all small petty things. Could she even handle herself surrounded by hardcore criminals? All hope was going up in flames. Until she appeared and by she we mean the smart, quick witted, and self made force of nature, Elena Torres, better known as Aunt E. Aunt E gave Nicole two options, the first, to continue her ways and end up in jail, or the second, to clean up her act and move in. There was absolutely no question as to which was the better option. Nicole swallowed her pride and agreed to the terms. Days turned into months which went on for 2 years. Nicole cut ties with her old crowd, stopped doing drugs, finished high school, and worked her way from cashier to shift supervisor of a small clothing store. Things were looking up and honestly the past was nothing but a distant memory. Now she had friends, a relationship, money, a good job, and living with her aunt was good for her credibility. No longer was Nicole the bad good girl. She was respected and people smiled and waved when passing by on the street. All this time, Nicole forgot the most valuable lesson she learned during her days on the streets. Reality can be a bitch when it’s time for a wake up call. “She’s just like her parents. I’m only helping to keep everybody quiet. You know what they say… never abandon your family. My brother was a piece of shit but I have to be the nice sister. At least the extra money keeps the maids happy.” When would Nicole learn? If something seems too good to be true, then it probably is. Nobody would care about her and take her seriously if she was nice. Her father risked their livelihood, her mother picked cheap vodka over her own flesh and blood, even her aunt cared more about her image and money. If home was where you were supposed to feel safe, secure, and loved, this sure as hell wasn’t it. The only time Nicole felt that without a doubt was on the streets. Unfortunately, she already severed those ties years ago. Realizing there was no place left for her, Nicole ran to the last person she prayed she could still believe in. He who previously scolded her for her behavior yet took her under his wing to teach her the art of medicine and law enforcement after swinging his gavel for the last time. Formerly Judge and now simply Mr. Harper, listened to Nicole’s story through her sobs. Not a word of judgement, ill will, or disappointment passed his lips. It was only when she woke up on the Harper’s couch and saw a backpack with an envelope in front of it that a genuine smile reached her eyes for the first time in so long. Find Your Freedom Love Maisy & Brett 18 years of lies, betrayal, and manipulation. It was time for a fresh start. With the backpack open and resting on her lap, Nicole Torres looked down at the stamped document in her hands before turning her eyes to the stranger appearing to her right. “Excuse me, Miss, is this seat taken?” Shaking her head side to side with a smile, Nicole nodded to the empty seat beside her. “Also… it’s Nicole… Nicole Harper.” The next words that rang through the air had such a pleasant tone nothing could possibly compare. “Good evening ladies and gentlemen, this is your pilot speaking…” The next few years Nicole would spend her time traveling around the states looking for purpose and a way to create her new life before finally setting her feet down in the state of San Andreas and beginning her next chapter. 16. +1 from me!
  17. +1 Yes, yes, a million times yes! I think it's silly to go through so much OOC stuff just to get a weapon off somebody. As a DOC guard this would be very much appreciated (especially so people stop trying to attack me after I OOCly uncuff them -.-)
  18. Agreed so -1 from me as well
  19. +1 under the conditions: - An action timer before your location is transmitted - Location share only lasting a short period of time - You can only share your location, not request another person's The reason for this is due to the potential for abuse. As it stands right now you can describe your location/state where you are on the GPS to your friends which takes a bit of time and so the convenience of something like this where you get a ping instead shouldn't also be instantaneous.
  20. +1 poker tables pretty please - I'd buy one in a heartbeat
  21. +1 I don't like chasing people at DOC after they randomly jump out the back and start sprinting for dear life.

    Bolt Cutters

+1 to either being able to get bolt cutters or using bobby pins to open these gates. There should be risk associated with parking your car in a self made garage as opposed to using the scripted house parking.
  23. Hello all and thank you for reading over this suggestion! When using a campfire you have to be decently close to it to press "E" and bring up the crafting menu. However, the issue lies with the fact that the campfire can set you up in flames from almost the same distance. There is no warning or anything, you just go up in flames. I'm suggesting either the use/crafting radius be increased so you may open the menu from just a bit further away to avoid being engulfed in flames, or the damage radius (radius in which you can be engulfed) be decreased. In its present state, it is somewhat difficult to use the campfire without either a trip to MD or a /report 2 Death by campfire? I wasn't even standing on it. Note this is a suggestion because the campfire itself is still usable, it just could use some tweaking. Once again, thank you for reading over my small suggestion. Have a wonderful rest of your day!
