  1. +1 Really well written Yputi as always! Personally I don't think scamming should be allowed in a NCZ. This is something that anybody would retaliate to and if it happens in a NCZ, as you stated, there is no real way to retaliate or else you are breaking the NCZ rules. It's really unfairly balanced and does harm a lot of players. With the opposing answers received from staff about it, perhaps in connection to the rules there should be a link to server wide decisions/clarification. As stated before, scamming in a NCZ was a "hot topic" so wouldn't it be in the best interest of the community to link this in the rule book - perhaps as something that states: "Players are responsible for staying up to date with decisions and clarification regarding rules." Follow that there could be a link to a simple page (be it on the forums or a Google Doc) with outcome decisions to "hot topic" issues. If something like this was done, then all information would be accessible in one area and it will lessen a lot of confusion.
  2. Just like people run around all day with a mask on, thus abusing it, this would be no different. People would just wear gloves 24/7.
  3. -1 This would literally be abused by every single criminal in the game. We need more to enhance the server, not create absurdly unfair advantages to a specific player set.
  4. Massive +1 Good job with all the suggestions.
  5. Overall I would give this a -1. Some suggestions are decent but there is way too much suggested to basically make mining mindless. People need to figure things out, you can't just spoon feed all the information. Below are comments on each suggestion. Suggestion 1: I don't really see much of a purpose or need for this. The only visual aid you need is knowing that there is ore to mine in a specific spot which is already in the game. Knowing any more than this would provide unbalanced advantages such as people just leaving one ore left in all the rocks, hitting rocks and only staying at the ones with the most ore, etc. That is just way too much information to provide people and is honestly just lazy. Suggestion 2: How would this benefit mining at all? Suggestion 3: I agree that something should be stated in a text box but not the "REMEMBER* a bag or a crate would make the job easier and more profitable." That is information that people need to figure out on their own. Suggestion 4: The job description for mining should follow the same template as all the other jobs. Anything different and it would need to be done for every job or else it's not really fair/balanced.
  6. Yputi thanks so much for this! It helps immensely.
  7. I understand that medical RP isn't everybody's cup of tea but at the end of the day EMS is an official faction in the server staffed with people who are on-duty to take calls and RP the job they've chosen. It's not your job in the server, but those who have it should have more opportunities and chance for quality RP just like everybody else. There is a lot of blatant laziness and honestly lots of fail RP especially with people having absolutely zero regard for an injury they claim to have or even just of their own safety when going around the streets. How would you recommend improving EMS so it's not just a lazy run around town healing, giving painkillers, and watching somebody with 4 gunshot wounds run back into their car 5 seconds after being healed? I really don't think a forced trip to the hospital and healing there is too much but that's just me.
  8. Great ideas and thanks to everybody for giving even more suggestions. I think when we all put our heads together then there can be great EMS RP. A staffed hospital would be nice but also it's very dependent on player availability. In terms of timing and tying up medics, I think the comprise would be handled with implementation, of course if this suggestion even gets that far. I agree that the command itself should be different and instead of completely healing a patient, it should prevent hp loss once the medic gets there. Treatment RP would then just be completed at the hospital (along with restoring lost hp) which doesn't even have to be complex as it could be the same treatment RP that's already used in the field. The added time would come with driving the injured person back to MD, which, when thinking about the priority level of the call, would be warranted. With something like this implemented, I do believe that players will in turn be more conscious of lots of actions they take on a daily basis and thus lead to a lower on-duty/calls ratio. For instance, if you know that you can't just get picked up and walk away after a car crash, you would be less likely to drive your sports car like a maniac in the streets, etc. at least in theory. I think a lot of people do incredibly reckless things with the knowledge of "I just need to wait for a medic and then I can quickly get back to it, no big deal" which is just unrealistic.
  9. Even without a doctor/nurse/field medic hierarchy, medics could still do their completed assessment and treatment in the hospital. It's much better environment wise and will really add depth to medic rp. It just feels a little lackluster when a player is downed, calls a medic, gets treated on the spot, then everybody goes about their merry way a minute later.
  10. I am suggesting that for 911 calls, patients have to be physically transported to the hospital for proper treating as opposed to treating on the spot that is done very often. Presently, EMS does get viewed as a quick pick up/heal up and go which does not give much room for quality roleplay. As a licensed medic OOC, every trauma run is taken to the hospital to ensure proper patient care. The duty of the medic is not to treat on scene but to prepare and transport the patient to the hospital while keeping them in the best stable condition you can. I do think that treating at the hospital will make citizens more conscious of what they are doing/how they are putting themselves in harms way as well as open the door to more quality EMS interaction while making the roleplay itself more realistic.
  11. Title pretty much says it all. It is fail rp to drive while holding your bag/crate and you have to rp doing this with /me and /do. You can't even carry your bag on your back when it's full because it's viewed as inventory and a full bag takes so much space, which should also be fixed, and so people are forced into this fail rp situation a lot. We can already store bodies in trunks and people sit in the car so I think there should be a command to place your bag/crate in these spots.
  12. -1 I think this would harm civilian rp. With licenses as an inventory item and the state of civilian rp, civilians in the server would risk constantly getting their license stolen and having to then pay a fine. I think the only people this will benefit are those who find themselves doing things that would be better without identification on them - so basically criminals.
  13. Are you the victim of a severe loss due to a rule breach in which another player purposely broke a rule? Witness a player hack or bug abuse? Know of someone breaching community policy to a severe extent? Been severely insulted out of character or been threatened with a cyber attack? If you have evidence of any of the above situations this is the place for you to report your incident and come to a resolution among players with the assistance of game moderators and administrators. Before creating a player report, please consider if you could possibly teach this player or if you've tried to come to a resolution on your own. Reporting another player should be reserved for your final options when a rule breach has occurred. Always try to teach other players in the community, especially with newer players, as well as help them truly understand your point of view prior to simply reporting them if something doesn't go your way. Reports involving insults must be truly offensive, being called an idiot or saying you are stupid while offensive may not be report worthy. If you truly feel offended or cannot get the player to cease contact with you then you may report them. Be mindful that this section is for OUT OF CHARACTER rule breaches of the Eclipse Roleplay Community Rules. Consider if the issues you are having are IN CHARACTER issues which should be resolved with an IN CHARACTER complaint method or if these issues are true OUT OF CHARACTER issues. Many legal services have in-character methods for reporting IN CHARACTER misconduct which is not a rule breach. If you decide you need to file a report, you must follow the guidelines below and to the best of your ability, try to inform the player that you may be reporting them. Eclipse Staff members are players as well and are held to the same rules. Should you feel an Eclipse Staff member violated Eclipse Roleplay Community Rules you may report them for review by a member of the senior staff team. Player Report Forum Section Guidelines Ensure you have read the rules and still believe the player has broken a specific rule before posting. The person reporting must be directly involved in the situation, except in severe cases such as cheating, exploiting, or cyber threats. We do not accept reports from banned members of the community or those who do not have an accessible in-game account. Attempt to inform the reported player(s) of the report to the best of your ability. Evidence of the rule breach is required such as a screenshot or video. Evidence from other players may be used and it is permitted for that player to post concrete evidence for you. Evidence cannot be older than 48 hours. If players are deliberately withholding evidence and knowledge of a rule breach, they will be punished for said action. Failure to use the proper format will result in a request to update your post and should you not, the report will be denied for non-compliance with player report guidelines. The explanation of the player rule breach must be concise as well as factual and limited to a maximum of 300 words. Should the explanation exceed this limit, the reviewing staff member can request an update and if still non-compliant following the provided time, the report will be denied. Report must include the unix date/time stamp of the situation which can be found on the HUD at any point while in-game next to your ID in the bottom left corner as seen below: Players who are NOT DIRECTLY INVOLVED in the report are not allowed to respond unless sharing necessary or pertinent concrete evidence ("I can confirm." or "That's what happened." is not acceptable). If you comment on a report you're not involved in you may be warned by a forum moderator. All responses to the player report should be factual and only reference the questions asked by the handling staff member. Commentary back and forth between players can result in forum warnings and/or further player reprimands. Do not contact anyone from the Eclipse Administration Team regarding your player report or a potential rule break situation. Situations must be handled via /report in game or on the forums out of game. Failure to adhere to this can result in your player report being denied and further player reprimands. Double posting and Thread bumping is not allowed. Please reserve one player report for one situation and be patient while your report is reviewed and concluded. Once a staff member has made a final decision, you may not post the player report again. If you received punishment, you may try to attempt a punishment appeal one time for each punishment obtained. See the Punishment Appeals section for more information. Player Report Forum Section Requirements Required Report Topic Title This should be the name of the player(s) that you are reporting and the rule(s) that you believe they have broken. Example can be seen below. Example: Required Report Format Example: What constitutes as evidence? Valid evidence is always required. Please take note that other players’ confirmations are not considered as valid evidence. Chatlogs are not considered concrete evidence but may help support your case. This can not be the sole form of evidence of the loss. All videos and screenshots may not be edited or tampered with in any way. Video evidence must be viewable with readable resolution and screenshots must be of appropriate size to clearly see all text. Audio should be present in all videos and no evidence can be cropped. If video or audio contains sensitive information, you may request to send to the administrator directly as to not make the information public. Please take note that any in character information within any provided evidence does not constitute as sensitive information. After posting, a member of the Administration team will respond to your report as soon as they are available and begin their investigation. This investigation will bear in mind the purpose and primary focus of the punishment and report system which is to educate and prevent future rule-breaking behaviors. When the reviewing staff member deems the report to be concluded, they will make a ruling depending on the rule breach and the severity which can range from a denial to administering a WARNING or a PUNISHMENT. Assets can be requested for forcible removal depending on the situation. Personal player loss as a result of the report can be requested for refund by following the Refund Request Requirements. All decisions, unless noted otherwise, can be appealed by following the Decision Appeal Requirements.
