I would love to see a pro and con list to taking each drug. I would absolutely be in support of that but it has to be realistic with small buffs not things like night vision as that is an unrealistic reaction to taking drugs.

-1 If you don’t quit another job you would be able to do double duty while working for a faction. IRL even if you work two jobs, it’s not simultaneous. You go from one job to the other with a punch/check in system which is effectively ending one job to start the next.

I have to agree with Alex on this one because it is true that not all of those things are equal. What may be a go between is a turf system where a gang can claim turf that gives these abilities. There can be gang on gang interaction to try and take away/back turf because they want the ability that goes along with it.

-1 The current times are fine and the only thing that happen with a sentence cap is massive metagaming (knowing OOCly that the cap is there and then, as an example, opening fire on multiple cops because you know you won’t get any more time) which is something that has been done numerous times. If a criminal was smart they would plan their activities so they have a limited chance of getting caught. Also with the penal code publicly available you can always see the potential charges and jail time and consider if you should be sneakier, plan more, or cancel the idea. As far as prison rp goes, it’s a very 2 sided thing. Yes, activities were added to prison and the inmates do need to start rping with one another more. DOC also needs to put a better foot forward. When people are on duty they should be taking a more active role in rp and limit goofing off and socializing. I’m not saying all of DOC does this because that’s absolutely not true, but I have seen times when this happened and can now slightly better understand the potential rp difficulties that criminal players mention (although they still should rp with each other in jail).

+1 I think that even just 1 extra parking lot would be a good addition. I wouldn't recommend going overboard but 2-3 total would be great. It can also lead people to explore different areas of the city.

-1 Due to desync this wouldn't work very well. Along with that, players would be able to force their own death by crouching/jumping for a headshot during a gunfight. Finally, realistically speaking you can survive a GSW to the head although the odds are not in your favor.

Anyway, back to an actual suggestion to potentially minimize if not remedy the issue... I keep pointing back to the Roleplay Guide and the section titled "Racist Remarks" for many points as this can be looked at for different circumstances and I advocate for sexism to be added as well. Right now this is only listed in the guide and not actively in the rule book. As the guide was written by staff and therefore that section written by them as well, does it not make sense for an easy transition to the rule book even as an addition to the harassment rule? Even without it in the rule book but knowing it exists in the guide, I would say that it would make rational sense to be a privately reportable offense after going into /b /o /ooc stating discomfort. As we should make sure to remain respectful of players, I think this would be a fair suggestion. It would in no way infringe on people who RP appropriately and within the lines of respect.

Okay let's break this down logically point by point: 1. No, I'm not kidding you and you are massively reaching. More on that in a bit. 2. My level if experience in handling these situations is 10/10 thank you. 3. Not at all, in fact I hate drama and believe it's exhausting, frustrating, and shouldn't be present in a place where people just want to have fun. Okay now back to the first point, let's look into this far reach of insuations. My comment states absolutely nothing wrong. From the beginning I have made it very clear that I in no way, shape, or form am stating that a player should not exhibit sexist behaviors. Everybody has their freedom to play the character they so choose... while still remaining respectful to the community as a whole. There is absolutely nothing wrong with going through an exchange ICly that includes catcalling and good RP and then from there actually creating an OOC friendship. The exchange was never over the top, blatantly offensive, or overtly demeaning. I point your attention to the Roleplay Guide, written by Eclipse staff which states the following in regards to racist remarks: "Everyone needs to treat each other with mutual respect on this server." It is possible to treat each other with respect while making racist remarks - the same goes for sexist remarks.

By stating that it just seems like this is moreso an effort to just obtain a buff for dangerous and life threatening activities and not really an advancement to the server. You say "reasonable amount of time" and I would argue that the time it takes for food regen is perfectly reasonable. Full health should not be so quick. You either go through RP with a medic which takes time or you food regen.

To me it's a balancing act. Again, you keep missing the tidbit that food and drinks already assist you in healing, it's just a slower process. Knowing that a way for players to scriptly heal themselves already exists, there is no need for another method in my eyes. If food and drink did not regen then I would probably be a bigger advocate for something limited for players to purchase. Plus as a selfish note - I enjoy handing out my fancy bandaids and lollipops.

Even bandages and painkillers is RP for medics. If it was wasting time as you say, they would have spoken up against it for changes to be implemented. Plus, some drop bys for bandages turns into amazing RP.

As it shouldn't. EMS should be the only source of full healing for players as any other system can be so heavily abused. Imagine ramming your motorcycle into a light post to almost dead and just taking store bought bandages to heal up when you should have extensive injuries. As stated before, having full thirst and hunger already provides a health benefit and even that is abused to avoid driving to Central.

-1 You already get a benefit from being full/hydrated and citizens can take a course provided by EMS. This would only take away RP opportunities from the medics.

Absolutely true, it's when it goes over the top and get excessive with no RP reason and infringes that it becomes an issue. I have great friends that have come from catcalling encounters.

It's unfortunate that a respectful and well intentioned discussion gets trolled in this manner. If anything it further sheds light on parts of the issue.

I'm unsure of what you mean when you say "the original poster fled" because I'm right here. I've had absolutely nothing to say in response to you due to your ignorance. I have already stated that if you do not have anything more to add to the conversation as you've been repeating yourself, then I suggest you steer your eyes to a different thread. There are clearly people on this thread partaking in the discussion about what it was original meant for - people whom also believe in the issue and think it should be looked at. Your opinion and the fact that you don't see an issue is noted. I obviously disagree as do the others on this thread.

Again, it is happening ICly not OOC though, as stated before, it picks up when VOIP is used confirming my OOC gender. Along with this as I've along with others have stated, more time would be spent recording and reporting just to be met with "it's my roleplay" as a reason. You can chose to believe there is not a present issue if you please. Judging from the post reception I would be inclined to say that multiple people have seen or experienced this behavior. Combine that with the lack of reporting will show you that it's not an easily reportable thing right now. Your points are respectfully noted but unfortunately not sufficient to solving the actual issue at hand.

I still really don't think you get the overall point of this post. There is presently a targeted group of players on the server and we are here to try to find possible solutions to make the server a more welcoming place while not stripping away roleplay freedoms. You say "file a report to the admin team" yet as it stands, there is nothing to report because no rules have been technically broken. There are no rules or guidelines in place for some of the behavior that occurs which is the ultimate issue. Also, a lot of said behavior is over the top and has absolutely no connection to the backstory of said characters. It's a lot of people being offensive just because they can and there is nothing stopping them. Add to that that reporting on the forums as the behavior is now would take more reporting hours than play hours. And no... this is not Grand Theft Auto, this is the ECRP server, two very different things. Players are held to standards and rules here.

I would definitely advocate for this - tiered buyable drug labs. I think this would heavily benefit the server and be a great thing for criminals to work towards.

+1 Absolutely would be nice to be able to place more outside and let us really make our houses feel like home

One thing I have noted is that on the Roleplay Guide written by staff, there is specific mention of racist remarks and expressing discomfort. I personally think it would be beneficial to expand on this for sexism as well and enforce guidelines regarding discomfort and how RP scenes should navigate following expressed concern. I know people don't like the idea of more rules but it would at least make it something enforceable as long as a process is followed. My goal is never to alter the fun for somebody on the server and push for rules that will limit people unfairly. I'm a huge advocate for equal enjoyment and respect among all players. I've met some wonderful people in this community, some who even have characters that gracefully toe the line with sexism. I would just like to be more inclusion especially as a heavy roleplay server that prides itself on quality rp and having such a large player base.
