So what if a new player gets a speeding ticket? They learn about it, maybe not repeat it and are more careful. Quitting the server because they racked up 20 speeding tickets is entirely their fault and they can always make a new character if they feel like it. Everyone is informed about the speed limits IC and also the server rule states "no crimes should be committed in the NCZ", which includes speeding. There also is a way to avoid speeding tickets if you speed past a speed trap. It's an OOC solution to an OOC problem, that punishes you IC.

You can use /ame to display the /me above your head and not in text chat. If someone saw you do something, they'll see the /ame. I say it's fair game, you just have to time it right. On a side note, deathRP has to be earned, not simply given out or forced.

Only time I'd say that demands are given clearly, is if you yell them while next to the vehicle if windows are up. If the driver decides to take his chances and flee, it's his choice and also a valid one, since he can duck down. It's up to you then to disable the vehicle in time before he gets away. FearRP should not be enforced in this case, because you have a chance to escape and show that you value your life. This is very different than having a gun pointed at your face while on foot.

1. Miranda rights aren't useless. 2. Instead of someone simply deciding if you should be released sooner or not, more scripted jobs should be added into the prison. More work you do, less time you spend in. 3. I mean, you're asking for a "innocent until proven guilty" system. Yet you're saying all cops are metagaming, but have no proof of it? Kinda of ironic and a big statement to make without proof... 4. While updates may not suit all players, they're still very welcomed. 5. Saying "we need X" is easy, but making it is a whole different story. It has to be balanced, effective and function well with other factions. It has already been said it's being worked on, but it's a difficult task. Not everyone is going to want to go to trials and sometimes people may not have the time for it. Arresting, searching, processing and transporting (+ maybe doing extra work if DOC isn't on duty) already can take a LOT of time. There's also a question if the person has enough OOC time to cover it all.

Render distance is the same for all players, meaning if you can see them, they can see you. I don't understand why PD shouldn't use helicopters, while they can be evaded. I have seen people get away from air units before. As far as fuel goes, it goes very fast especially if the pilot doesn't have VIP. People also use bikes and sports cars to drive up mountains to evade cops, but you think helicopters are PG... lmao

Honestly if someone CK's, they should stop playing that character and make a new one. Simply changing your name and calling it a CK isn't RP. Because you get to keep all your belongings, like money, houses and everything. It's basically avoiding the character asset transfer system in the end. So no, a simple name change would not make you immune to other people identifying your character and your criminal history and other records would transfer over. You can get plastic surgery and try to RP it with a /do, but even that has a chance people may still recognize you, so it's not bulletproof. If you want to play a new character, simply create a new one.

Simple: there's no reason to. From a gameplay perspective, all official gangs are exactly the same to each other, only difference is their RP. Both have access to laptops and importing guns, ammo and mods. That's it. However if we give more responsibility and functions to official gangs, but they could fight for control for different things, they would have a gameplay and RP reason to fight. Until war is a beneficial option, alliances like these will remain.

Because the market place on the forums is something like ebay. If people don't put up enough info, you just have to ask for more, like you would on ebay. You can still make a contract with weazel IC to advertise your property or something. I see no real reason to complicate the process for the forum market place we have now. It's simple, fast, works and it's free.

Sandy clinic center doesn't really sound like a place that could support air units, even emergency cases are questionable. Usually if someone needs an air unit to rescue them, they're so badly hurt that going to a clinic would simply not make sense. If air units are used IRL, they always go to the hospital to provide the best treatment possible, giving the person the highest chances of survival. This also sounds like something that can be solved IC. If you want to drop off someone quicker, call for an ambulance to wait for you at the airstrip and transfer the patient.

I never understood why some vehicles, like sports cars and even some bikes, are allowed offroad. It makes sense that the game itself would allow it (because it's meant to be a total clusterfuck to begin with), but it doesn't make any sense that a RP server would allow it in its rules.

This would not solve anything.

What about the mentality of "I reached my OOC cap, guess I'll keep doing more crimes IC"? People took advantage of that very heavily before and they will do it again. I don't think that introducing an OOC cap IC is the way to tackle this. To the post above where 2 guys get out of the car with heavy weapons and start killing cops, what was the logic behind that? You killed 3 cops, had heavy weaponry, resisted arrest and felony evaded + whatever previous crimes they did. Doing that will get you locked up for life IRL. 8 hours of prison may be a bit harsh, but it's honestly something that should be expected. The two players obviously did not care about the consequences of their actions, thinking they'll get away with it and not be charged with any crimes. And if they were already at their OOC jail time cap, it also wouldn't make a difference. That is the sort of mentality that has to stop, thinking that every gunfight has to end in a win and that there would be OOC systems in place to protect you IC, for actions you have committed because you wanted to. Your 8 hour jail time could've been way lower and that's the simple truth. Sometimes it's better to give up, but in the end, IC consequences for IC actions. Also lets be honest, there was absolutely 0 RP in that shootout. Drove off, got out, shoot, try to get back in and drive away. That's not really RP to me, if anything, sounds a lot like GTAO. Also not sure why you should be rewarded for doing that OOC'ly with a reduced jail time, but to each their own. If anything, reduced jail time should be earned, not given just because people want it. Officers will already reward people for good RP, so there's also that.

I suggest making a more in depth guide, explaining how it will all work IC, the internal rules, their functionality and how they would be beneficial. A lot of those points also apply on a OOC level, how will RP work within the faction and how it will tie with other factions and players.

Thing is, nobody is limited to one character. You're always free to create another one and be more careful on that one. We're all here to RP and develop our characters, so it makes little sense that a characters crimes would be wiped clean just because you want them to be. If you became a felon, willingly or not, that's just a consequence you'll have to deal with.

If it won't cause server or client problems, it would be a nice detail. But I'd also like to see more vehicles on the map spread out. Maybe a /park command that if the vehicle is locked and nobody is inside, it would be immune to picklocks after like 10 minutes. Owners could use /unlock to be able to unlock it and use it again. Basically replacing script garages and being able to see vehicles "parked".

Honestly, if you want to donate you should do it because you want to support the server, but getting some perks in return is just an extra benefit as a thank you. VIP does also not give you any insane benefits over nonVIP players, so it's pretty balanced. But as soon as you introduce an exchange, where IRL and ingame credits can be sold/bought, that is when the game becomes P2W. People that can't afford credits, well that's just a totally different issue. They don't really NEED credits since the server is F2P and it's just how it is in life.

Simplest way to introduce more RP with drugs is to take away the automated drop off locations for everyone and let only official gangs have access to it. This way drug deals would be way more common and it would open up a lot of RP opportunities. As far as using the drugs, I'm against them giving you super powers or imaginary body armor. Apart from RP, there isn't much reason to take drugs IRL either from my point of view.
-
Having a functional casino like that would be amazing.
-
I agree with all, except with the foundry part for disposing bodies. There is a cemetery in Vinewood, which I think would be a more suitable location.
-
I feel like the server is already too automated as is. Adding in more automation just cuts out on potential RP, which doesn't make sense on a RP server. If anything, we should look for ways to reduce automation and promote more interaction between players.

All things considered, fishing is decent as far as payment goes. Apart from the risk of getting robbed, you don't really have to do anything else. You can relax, maybe do some netflix and fish and profit.

Instead of all criminal factions being equal to each other, each should have its own unique ability. To keep it short, one faction is in charge of importing heavy and normal weapons, other buys drugs off of players and sell them at dropoffs, another imports gun mods,… This should greatly increase and promote more RP between players and make criminal factions unique in their own ways. It also paves a road so future criminal factions can import different things, like drug lab kits or vehicle modifications/rare illegal vehicles. No longer would the server be mostly automated, but would require a lot more player interaction.

Thing with /analyzewounds is that it's not accurate, so it's not reliable. I also saw people try to deathRP even when they were completely fine, not downed or low on health or anything. Cops may allow you to deathRP if your RP is good, but it's still their call. DeathRP is a privilege, not a right.
