  1. Wonder why this rule shouldn't apply to everyone, can you explain, OP? Still, law enforcement factions already have rules regarding this. I wouldn't say that carrying 2 heavy weapons is unrealistic. A loaded remington and M4 would weigh about 7kg together. With extra slugs/mags, it would be about 9-10kg. I personally don't find 10kg heavy to carry, especially if the majority of the weight is on my back/vest and about 3kg in my hands.
  2. NBDY said he will add this in the future, with the food cooking update.
  3. Just add in bills so if players don't pay them for a extended period of time, the house will go on sale. Let the server maintain itself.

    Gang colors

That makes complete sense and it's how it is. Gangs protect their colors in their territory, not city or state wide. While cars are usually painted to their color, all their clothes usually aren't. Usually a shirt of their color is enough, sometimes they have a bandana wrapped around their wrist or something more subtle. I'd still argue this is a IC issue, but I'd argue that it's poor RP gangs would give a crap about colors outside their territory, as if the entire state of SA is their own.
  5. I'm fine with the limit. R* has a weird and retarded way to gain speed on specific vehicles due to their "vehicle flags". They also likely test these with AI enabled and even if they don't, it doesn't matter much in GTA online, since it's always a clusterfuck anyway. Considering there are lots of ways to abuse vehicle flags and do other things to get an advantage over others, the limit makes sense. People reached speeds of 300+, accelerated like a fighter jet and it depended a lot on what kind of a PC you had. I do see some heavy talk about realism. Sure vehicles like that are fast as hell, but they're also very expensive to maintain. It also doesn't matter how powerful a car is, it'll move at the same speed as the traffic does or at least slow you down a lot. Driving it offroad is a good idea if your plan is to destroy it. And finally, if you crash at that speed, you'll die and the car will be crushed into a small cube. I do agree that the crown vic performance should be swapped with the interceptor. Maybe even add in high performance vehicles using mods, so they're not just the plain civilian models.
  6. Longer jail times won't solve this issue, it's something that should be enforced by server rules. To put it simply, a lot of people choose to go for a life of crime because of a lot of reasons. Since so many people choose to do crime, you're bound to be hit numerous times, everyone is. I'd argue this is a IC issue. There shouldn't be classes that limit you to certain RP. This also isn't TDM, so balance doesn't really count for that much.
  7. Afaik this is already possible by getting permission from the admins. From what I know, there are no rewards from these, just RP. I sort of agree with that. However if RP is good and they actually get away with it, I wouldn't mind giving away 100k as part of their bounty. I am sure other players participating would be willing to "invest in bitcoins" to reward the players. It also wouldn't spawn in more money, which is something that is really not needed at this time.
  8. Sounds like a bug report should be made in this case tbh.
  9. I see there was very little thought put into this... The blue barriers are used in pursuits because they can be destroyed. At lower speeds that works and you can get away by destroying them. However at high speeds, 200+ in this case, the car would stall. A car IRL would get totaled and would be rendered unusable since it would be heavily damaged. Like the blue barriers, spikes also do a good job. However they're not synced well. Orange barriers are to secure scenes. Since vehicles are like paper when unoccupied and can easily be pushed, they're not an effective way to secure something in a realistic manner. There have been countless of times where bigger vehicles have lagged or desynced, but thanks to the barriers RP inside the scene wasn't ruined. Without barriers they would just plow through and kill most people there. This just leads to a lot of ruined RP situations and honestly, they don't change the outcome at all of actual RP. To be fair, cops IRL can use a lot of other things to slow or end a pursuit. Traffic for example can be a very beneficial tool and also not everyone would go offroad to avoid something or drive up a hill in a sports car or motorbikes that weren't designed for that. This is a game after all.
  10. Game crashes are very easy to prove thanks to windows logging. A computer crash can be more difficult to prove, but again logs are there that can make things more simple. Internet going down I would say is the hardest to prove that it wasn't intentional. I had my internet go out maybe once or twice while playing, but thankfully I just exited the RP situations when it did. It can happen to all types of players, new or old. Older ones will likely explain it on a player report or bother making a ban appeal. But new players, that's a bit more difficult and simply moving on is a easier and faster choice. If I was new and I would get banned because my internet decided to go out for about 30 minutes at a bad time, I would just move on and forget about the server. But given a warning and being told to keep proof for next time if the same situations rises up, that'd make a worlds of difference. A instant and perma ban is a simple and fast way to solve a problem that you have. It's not a learning experience, it's basically telling someone not to come back, ever. This is why I think combat logging should be made out of a warning and a ban after.
  11. RP here is consistent and it's about character development. Consequences have a longer or permanent lasting effect on your character. You can't just wish for something and get it, earn it. This is how you keep a healthy balance in the game. You said you wanted to see a change how mechanics get permission to tow vehicles. If you put in more effort, you could've made a difference. Complaining about it in OOC, forums or ingame, will not change how things are done IC. But the fact you asked an admin to promote you.. lol. Here's a life lesson for you, not everything will be available to you at all times. This includes emergency services. Even in developed western countries, when you call for help for something very serious, you may not get it. This is especially true for ambulance services. There are a lot of people that die each year because there were no free ambulances to come rescue someone. You're simply told "we have no ambulances free and won't have them for some time, sorry". This is a real issue and a lot of people aren't aware of it.
  12. Think it'd be easier if the items would just get dropped on the floor if the player disconnects while downed. I imagine having their physical body on the floor would cause numerous problems if they logged back in. Most problematic thing I see in this is that people potentially wouldn't report the player that quit, since they would get the loot and have no reason to hang out to see if they came back or not. It solves one problem, but creates a bigger one.
  13. It's pretty much your own fault and choice you rack your fines up to 30k, isn't it? Also with the amount of crimes that happen in the game, such an aggressive debt system is required for balance.
  14. It doesn't make any sense to give mechanics any sort of MDC access. About them being able to release vehicles, I'd argue that's something that should be proposed IC to the right government officials. Mechanics also aren't government employees. About the plate issue, it can easily be solved with a simple tweak to the /checkparkingpay command. Instead of it saying "vehicle has no parking pay", it could include the vehicle model and LP in the message.
  15. Could've just taken the L and not shoot a cop, which would give you way less jail time and fines. I only see a few people that are smart enough to surrender and do the time instead of resisting and making it way worse. In the end it's your choice if you want to make things harder for yourself. PD should also not be seen as the enemy, but a neutral faction what will respond to your (unlawful)actions. Don't blame a faction for doing its job. Play smarter.
  16. There's already too much automation in the game and I dislike it considering this is a RP server.
  17. You're not the first or last to get a denied application, it's hardly a reason to stop playing. This is also a IC issue and should be solved IC. Keep in mind gov forum is entirely IC, however times are OOC to eliminate confusion.

    Criminal Events

So many dumb and useless posts in this thread, it's amazing... I don't agree with the original suggestion. As it was mentioned before, it locks out a lot of other players and that doesn't seem fair.
  19. Having to pay for heavy weapons from our own salary is just dumb. You don't get a job, then your boss tells you that you have to buy your own gear, clothes, material, vehicle and fuel. PD also has regulations when heavy weapons can be used, it takes time and dedication. If cops have heavy weapons out, they have IC reasons for it, however criminals do not require such reasons and are free to use whatever, whenever. Furthermore, having to hammer the faction treasury when gear is signed out is also pointless. PD is a gov faction, funded by the government. If PD lacks funds, they will simply request more from the gov, from which point, gov will increase taxes on certain things. As a final note, criminals can loot the weapons from their fallen comrades and the weapon doesn't really exit circulation. PD would also require a similar script to return the gear from dead officers, so it wouldn't lose money when it's not required or doesn't make sense. Imo, adding in so many things and details is currently not needed and devs should focus more on the criminal update.
  20. The only system that actually had a big impact and actually worked was the coma system. It was boring as hell since you had to AFK for 15 minutes, but it did work. That system needs to come back, but in a different way (like being locked inside the hospital and potentially RP with medical staff or other patients). 5-10 minutes of that would be enough. To make it more fair, it would only apply if you were downed for less than 2 minutes. It should make people think twice before running it down mid into a gunfight.
  21. If you're looking for RP sense, imagine they're biolocked and not worth the trouble.
  22. Making up contracts to avoid tax is also a crime and shouldn't be done in a NCZ. Also an IC issue.
  23. Scratching off the serial and killing off all future RP and consequences, sounds like a big desire to just win. Lets be honest, gameplay wise a 5 second timer wouldn't add anything. Gun store owners have way more responsibilities IRL.
