The Criminal Update III [Rules/DEV]

Naturally a huge +1 on account of the increase in options for criminals and script to back up new types of roleplay

We're never going to be a heavy role-play server. That was decided the minute we decided to use VOIP

I would have to largely disagree with this however, I think we all make a choice on how deep we take our roleplay and it's the unfortunate truth that a lot of people just do not completely immerse themselves in their character. Yes rules should be majorly relaxed so as to not hamfist roleplay opportunities into a very set way of playing out, however the staff team should in turn increase their strictness on what is considered poor roleplay and increase the severity of punishments for it. Shooting is not roleplay, it is a consequence of roleplay and should always be treated as such.

Very epic thread though, some points to debate in the first half but the second half I don't think is even debatable how great the suggestions are

+1

I really wish something would be done regarding things to do as criminal as it works hand in hand with law enforcement, whenever somebody new in town asks what's the best way to make money as a criminal they really isn't an easy answer with your options been very limited. The only way somebody can make money is by cooking drugs and that in itself is extremely boring with the risks been higher than the rewards. I can't help but think the criminal aspect of the server has been neglected for a while now with the last update been turfs, please bring back static drug labs it was a great way for smaller gangs to make something of themselves.

+1 +1+1 I don’t think there was much I did not agree with in this I have seen to many people just quit because it got boring I really really hope that at least some of this goes threw I feel like there are not really many criminals that would disagree with this we all want change let’s just hope the server can do it right

I can understand scepticism about whether any of this will change anything at all, because there have been a lot of good proposals and suggestions made by community members that have fallen by the wayside. It is a complicated process, not just getting people to listen but the right people to listen.

With regards to development, time is a very precious commodity and everyone will want their own area of the servers improved in some way, shape or form. Would I love to see more police development stuff as part of the LSPD? Absolutely. But it feels to me like the best thing for our police departments at this moment in time in terms of additions is stuff for criminals. At it's core, we're reliant on criminals for our role-play unless we want to patrol the pier all day. The busier and happier criminals are playing, the better for them and better for us.

With regards to rules and how things are set-up, I think it's just as important that the staff team re-evaluates the areas I've mentioned in the suggestion. Development stuff would take more time but you can make positive changes in a much shorter window by revising some of the current restrictions on robbery, deathmatch and faction rules. That is entirely dependent on those at the top of the staff pyramid being willing to engage in the discussion and be willing to change things.

As far as I'm concerned, I just want a better version of this server. If it's not my ideas, then someone elses. Just don't do nothing or say nothing, when it's obvious there are issues. I've given you guys lots of rough ideas to work with, so I've done what I can.

We've just got to keep the thread relevant and hope for the best.

I think we all criminals can appreciate the fact that you spent hours drafting this thread and aiming for a solution to balance off the crim/legal, as of right now it's unfair and it's been demotivating a lot of people that are more invested in the illegal side of roleplay. Thanks Bala. Now we can just hope that it just becomes practical so that we can get back to enjoying the server once again. I really like the ideas provided. I hope the developers find these ideas versatile and implement them in the server.

Biggest +1 I've ever put on anything. This is drastically needed to bring back the crim life we all loved ❤️  If this is taken into consideration as well as actually done, then that would bring back a lot of players. ❤️

Massive respect to Bala for taking the time out of his days to write this. Absolutely stunning work, massive respect my g ❤️

Doesn't seem like it will change anything though there has been no announcement anything will ever change maybe they lost hope?

The amount of time and effort you've very visibly put into this suggestion is admirable.

Even coming from the LEO side of the server, I can 100% agree that changes need to come to the crim side of the community, and quickly.

Thanks for taking the time Bala! ❤️

+1 for sure
