  1. The way you're looking at the dynamic between prisoner & guard here is way too black and white, where in reality if you look at the bigger picture and the consequences of your actions, it's extremely unrealistic to take a prison guard hostage in most cases. You're not evaluating Risk vs. Reward and the risk here outweighs the reward tenfold. When taking a guard hostage, you're risking your life for seemingly no reason. If you end up making it out of that situation alive, then you would have time added to your sentence that could equal out to realistically being 10+ more years behind bars. That's not to say you will never be able to take a prison guard hostage, but the rule is there to ensure there has been proper escalation for this type of action. 9 times out of 10, a guard just walks into a cell block and is immediately bombarded and fucked with, which isn't realistic to begin with. Your second point here is also based on escalation, as long as the scenario between you and whoever else is involved in this situation escalates properly to the point where you would have this response realistically, you can roleplay it out accordingly. These rules are here to stop people from making prison a complete mess of unrealistic fights and constant emergency situations.
  2. The amount of time and effort you've very visibly put into this suggestion is admirable. Even coming from the LEO side of the server, I can 100% agree that changes need to come to the crim side of the community, and quickly. Thanks for taking the time Bala! +1 for sure
  3. @Tommy Colombo I don't even know what to say to this response. I have forwarded my recording to the staff member handling this report, and will get an edited version that blurs out staff chat so it can be viewed publicly. I have no obligation to reply to this further, but I do feel like, person to person, this is an important topic and while I am unhappy that you have called me racist on numerous occasions without even knowing me, I would like to clarify exactly what was going on here and ultimately, at the end of the day, it is entirely up to you if you believe it or not - however, I will stand by the fact that I am not racist, nor would I ever judge someone for who they are or what they look like. Not only that, there is not a single person involved in that situation that is racist either on an in character or out of character level and I will 100% go to bat for everyone there when I say that. At the end of the day, your in character actions at DOC led to the scenario being escalated to you getting arrested. On an in character level, you refused to comply with orders to leave the property no less than 10 times. I pulled you over, you kept on saying you were going to drive away which escalated the scene further, which is why you were taken out of the car at tazer point and arrested. I personally have never been the target of race-related harassment, but that doesn't mean I haven't been targeted for who I am. As an openly gay male, I deal with being called homophobic slurs ICly and sometimes OOCly on a daily basis - multiple times a day and it's exhausting, which I would never even remotely consider making someone else go through which is why your accusation is not only false, but is pretty hurtful to be honest. At no point on that scene did I call you a racial slur in character, nor did I even refer to your race when giving a description of you to other units responding, you did elect to call me a homophobic slur in character though but that's cool. At the end of the day, the way you acted in local OOC chat was rude, ruining the scene for everyone involved because you assumed it was racial. In my experience on the staff team, staff members do care about people OOCly purposely targeting minority groups with slurs and discrimination so I highly recommend that if people are harassing you out of character, to report it so it can be handled. As I said above, I've forwarded my POV to the Staff Member handling this report and this will be my last response to this Report unless a response is requested by Wolokai. Take care.
  4. Player(s) being reported: Tommy Colombo (231) Date of interaction reported: 21/AUG/2021 Unix time stamp from HUD: 1629597434 Your character name: Tristan Stanford Other player(s) involved: Xoza Shadow, Kingsley Fisher, Ricardo Hernandez Specific rule(s) broken: 5. Disrupting Server Operations and Knowledge of Rule Breaches Players must be a positive community member and remain respectful with everyone at all times. 9. Non-Roleplay (NRP) Players should not instigate situations they do not have time to play through. If a player is chased they must wait 15 minutes before they can log out of the game. How did the player break the rule(s)? (300 words maximum) Player 231, later identified as Tommy Colombo was with his friends at DOC. Our in-character interaction started when he decided to lay down, blocking one of the intake gates. In character, he was told to leave numerous times (approx. 15). Unfortunately for him, he was driving a car while his friends all had motorcycles, so he was the easiest target. Tommy spent at least 10 minutes at DOC roleplaying a nuisance before being informed he was being placed under arrest. He continued to roleplay being a nuisance which is fine, however he started taking in character frustrations out in /b, asking for my badge number in /b and even accusing me of being racist in /b. Tommy stated in /b that I was racially profiling him and that he's tried reporting before and that the Admins don't care. He stated that he was done with the server and then immediately stated that he had to leave. Tommy excessively rushed the rest of the RP, berating people to hurry up, insisting that he had to leave immediately, etc. Personally, I believe Tommy crossed a line and was acting extremely toxic in /b by accusing me of being racist OOCly based on my IC actions. Tommy also willingly engaged in RP with me at DOC, saw that his actions were escalating the situation, and continued on knowing that he had to leave. Evidence of rule breach: The chat is mixed in with staff chat and reports, therefore whoever takes this report - I can send a copy of the POV/Screenshots to the staff handling the reports.
  5. I appreciate the RP interactions we've had thus far. @Chris_, you're the homie & I hope BSB makes it as far as you want it to go. pls no kill me, i am the friendly neighborhood detective ;-;
  6. Hi, I and several other PD members were actively involved in this scene. As stated by @Actualbears everything was coordinated effectively via TAC, and the tactical decision was made to neutralize the threat. I'd also like to request that if you're not a part of this scene, you do not post on forum reports.
  7. Sometimes I wish I was a stranger when it comes to this topic hahaha
  8. Did u know taco bell makes breakfast tacos?

  9. @Tenbe From an RP perspective, triggering a microphone on a radio requires movement that could be considered hostile, especially in a gang-related situation. My character's goal with saying that was to knock sense into him, as sudden hand movements could result in a catastrophic outcome.
  10. remember this moment before you become an international icon
