  1. to understand why this was put in place you'd have to be around from before speed caps were a thing, people who had higher FPS, better performing pcs were able to make vehicles faster. People were abusing this by lowering settings get maximum frames making vehicles faster, a 300k rapid GT was able to out run a helicopters and various other vehicles at 400k KM/H per our. The cars arent mean to go this fast in gta 5 there's traffic. For example, you as a criminal got robbed and you tried to chase the person in a car like a rapid gt, there'd be pretty much no chance. However i think its different now with the introduction of toll booths on both main highways so people cant really cotiniously cruise at bugatti veyron speed anymore. Even i found myself buying vehicles that could go these speeds just to keep up.
  2. I mean the whole idea of ALL criminals using the black market to buy drugs and stuff is kinda hollywood, people buy drugs and guns on snapchat now a days, usually through a mutal friend whom they know IRL, the gangs who ACTUALLY use the blackweb supply the streets with the guns and drugs and it cerculates. regular people arent using the black web, they hit their plug up on instagram or snapchat or something. I believe this is already happening on eclipse, if you know have contacts within an official gang then you can get guns and circulate throughout the streets so regular criminals can get them. On lifeinvader, just like instagram and snapchat, it's against the TOS on these social media platforms to sell these kind of stuff, but people do it anyway, they just have to be smart with it, use coded words and hidden locations, if they get caught, then that's on them.
  3. -1 not everything HAS to be realistic, at the end of the day this is a video game.
  4. Just avoid the traffic camera like any person with a stolen vehicle would do IRL
  5. I do understand it is unrealistic on frustrating, but it's not as black and white as you make it seem. When you speed through a speeding camera IRL you don't just get a text immediately informing you you have a fine, it can be quite a while before you receive that fine, during that time you'd have reported your car stolen and you wouldn't have even gotten the ticket in the first place. And talking about realism, have you seen the quality of actual traffic cameras? There's no way it would be possible to accurately identify a person sitting behind a vehicle. Also when driving a stolen car it would make sense you'd purposely take shortcuts to avoid any camera whats so ever. When someone steals your car they dont drive on the main roads they drive on the backroads to be avoid being spotted BY traffic cameras. BASICALLY what im saying is just AVOID the cameras! Drive through vinewood, drive on the dirt road instead of through paleto!!! Don't go to the pier in a stolen vehicle avoid the bank its literally on one of the biggest streets.
  6. I agree, I think this is what people tend to hate to admit when bringing up cop chases, the likely hood that you are escaping in real life is singificantly low compared to here, you have traffic cameras at every intersection live news helicopters, local people calling in and everything. We shouldn't be expecting to easily escape from the police. It is in fact much more difficult to escape from the cops in real life. Cops pulling over known criminals with a more than ordinary amount of force is completley realistic and I believe it would be a measure that IRL cops would do, for example they are pulling over a known felon convicted of assaulting a police officer they will not carry out the traffic stop alone and would likely call back up. The problem is that everyone's view of what is realistic is different based on their own environment IRL.
  7. I agree somewhat. There salary being reset to 0 seems to be a bit of an over kill, working 40 hours just to loose it all to some guy in a warrener would be insanely frustrating. Maybe a small medical fee for dying? or a small amount detucted from your over all salary when you die with certain weapons within your posession?
  8. I agree, I personally don't mind the jail times, for me it comes down to having stuff to do in prison. As a result of nothing being there to do, some people just idle it out, whilst other go on and attempt to start roleplay, this is not always good, as 90% of the time their idea of starting roleplay is by punching someone minding there business to death.
  9. Ah yes, I remember the days, during war, refueling alone gave you an adrenaline rush cus you knew that any moment someone could peak out of the bushes or someone from the opposing gang could pull up, not everyone favored this but I always loved the thrill, like we always have we found ways to live through this and often never refueled alone, because you knew at anytime things could go south. Good days, lovely post as usual Bala AKA MLK for us crims.
  10. Been loving the posts, keep it up! -Tommy
  11. Been a on and off hunter since joining eclipse in 2019, this is likely just an issue with how things work on Rage and would likely remain a side effect of hunting.
  12. Would be good if these worked throughout the city as a matter of fact, this way criminals could RP sending anonymous phone calls to one another using the payphone system to carry out illegal drugs deals/illegal sales over all. Insert a certain amount of cash for a certain amount of minutes to seconds. +1 from me!
  13. Issue Being Reported: discord Unlink Date and Time of Issue (provide timezone): sep 29 2021 Your characters name: tommy/Jeffery Beckerson Other player(s) involved: N/A Evidence and/or notes worth mentioning: lost 2FFA codes to my old discord account! months now can't see the good channels
  14. Absolutely speechless to the amount of effort you put into this, massive +1 and i hope at least some of this is implemented in the near future.
  15. It really is for some cars I have to turn extremely slow in most cars with low grip tires and extremely difficult to control
  16. No the two buyers would discuss a location and meet up to complete the transaction. I agree the POST method would be too OP and remove a lot of potential RP.
  17. MAIN SUGGESTION With the addition of various websites to the phone such as the government websites and Life invader, I believe a black market system should be next. I remember a time ago the laptop was used to carry out the ordering of various weapons and items. I feel that it would be a good idea to re-introduce the laptops to criminalRP by adding a black market site that can only be accessed VIA the laptop. This would give criminals the opportunity to sell items and drugs to people who are interested. It could also be very difficult to gain access to the black market, for example you need a special code or a special chip that you could purchase from official factions that you could input into your laptop/phone to gain access to this websites. POTENTIAL RISKS This would also bring potential RP for those who roleplay as detectives who could lurk on the black market posing as criminals in and attempt to catch and detain these people, It would be up to us criminals to detect the imposters with experience. Detectives could only do this with reasonable suspicion and a thorough investigation that suggests that this person is indeed selling such things on the black market. This will prevent cops from camping the black market and arresting people causing it to be un-usable. ACCESS TO THE BLACK MARKET Anyone would be able to gain access to the black market with a specific chip that you would need to insert into the laptop, official gangs could provide the public with these chips. This chip would be of only one time use and if you happen to loose the laptop in which the chip was used/ the laptop destroyed by the police you would need to purchase another chip. Detectives will have access to the black market by default but should only be allowed to pose as a criminal with reasonable investigation done on a whomever they wish to set up/arrest. BENEFITS This would not only bring a large variety of new RP to both criminals and PD, it would smooth things out. Rather than the now unrealistic method of whispering into peoples ears at pier.
  18. Date and time (provide timezone): EDT Character name: Tommy Beckerson Issue/bug you are reporting: When trying to place anything it tells me that i am unable to place this furniture here. Expected behavior: I should be able to place it there i was able to do so before the new furniture update Evidence, notes worth mentioning, steps to replicate: try placing furniture in a 1g or any house with small interior for example the RV(which i am using)
  19. Like how this is not a PD vs Crim suggestion and both sides agree that this change should be reverted and the fact that we have to rely on script to prevent users from breaking rules says a lot. Would've much more sense to not be able to o use the radio whilst on your knees..
  20. I've never had a singl bad experience. RP wise with you. and I cannot speak for the entire department. But on many occasions I've seen pits performed at very high speeds 240 km/h+ and even on one occasion a cruiser pulled out in front of me whilst i was going 230 km/h. I did not expect this suggestion to get such traction and most of what is being discussed has nothing to do with my original suggestion. I never made any aggressive remark against any admin/cop I just said that I'd like to see pits performed in a more realistic manner...
  21. Don't get why you people park at the pier knowing the risk and then complain OOCly when your bag gets ninja yoinked. Don't need more NCZs. Their are several hidden location on the map where you can go to to fish.
