  1. How about a world, where a roadmap is made and then it gets stuck to? You know like a target with a deadline date, and if you have to put in some extra work to make it you do it, or even if you need help you find some? You have just become so used to the way this is done here. You are actually trying to convince people and yourself that they shouldn't be told about updates because they will just be disappointed when they aren't met? -.-
  2. Couldn't the PD and SD department just use radio binds? You just bind Jtac to bind 3 and then when somebody makes the call that your hopping to Jtac now you just press your radio 3 bind?
  3. This makes no sense. We just want gloves so that are shoulders and arms don't clip through the jackets ? +1 for obvious reasons
  4. +1 it doubly sucks, because if you get injured you respawn with less than half food and water and without your stamps. So you just get reduced to 1hp.
  5. -1 from me. I think the current system is very good and it forces smaller organizations to roleplay and interact with bigger organizations to strike deals and what not. You bring the bigger org some drugs, or packed cash and in return they give you some guns. This will just remove that whole avenue of roleplay. If you are a part of a small organization and are unable to get guns, this is because you have taken IC actions against these others larger orgs. That is an IC consequence of the decision your group has taken.
  6. I agree jail time should be way less. Its a game people want to have fun not sit in DOC for 5 hours.
  7. I agree with the idea of this post, the current higher up staff that are making the decisions do not want crims to have any chance really. Over time we have only seen less criminals and criminals getting weaker. This is exactly the direction management want to take tho. They are happy with the idea that crims can't win and I doubt this will change for the foreseeable future. Every aspect of RP that is brought up that cops should have to do or chance, cops swiftly shut this down. You can't discuss it anywhere, or with anyone without it being immediately shut down. This is a big part of why we are here. Even in terms of oocly, criminals get DM 2 and are banned. Cops get DM 2 and are promoted to, sever staff.
  8. I would like to add to this that when I used to be a member of the rooks, I was with this gang for a long period of time. During which there was many FM meetings discussing turfs. We would often ask for additional turfs or dealers to be placed (as this increases the amount you can order without having to add an extra turf), and we were repeatedly told that we should not let turfs and power to order effect our lore or roleplay. For those of you who don't know turf is based off of the spawned npc's/assets in the area. A warehouse giving 50 extra power, 10 for an extra NPC. So most turfs come down at 20 power (less than one drop of lysergic), where as some turfs are linked up to have 80+! We bit our tongues and struggled on with the meagre 90 power we had. However racing gangs who are scriptly protected from attacks are able to hold 3x as much power, as larger, stronger criminal organizations. How does this make any sense? Criminal organizations, open restaurants, launder MILLIONS in packed cash only to receive less than half of what a racing faction gets with only a fraction of the effort. The weakest gang in terms of lore, holds the most power?
  9. -1 its just part of your duties, you should remember. The technology for remotely paying tickets isn't available yet. Also I always imagined that your actual license was updated, or how else do LSC check it?
  10. I understand your point with the fact it would be very hard to police from an administrators perspective. Just the other day you pulled me over, and RPly searched through my vehicle. It took you no longer than 30 seconds, I think this is all people are asking for, rather than this OOC approach (with the alt rp requests). I don't think it would be too hard for law enforcement to rply search the vehicle as well as just tapping I. I would also like to add, I think we are getting hung up on the hiding of a .50, this is just one example of many where we feel that staff/script are restricting people roleplaying opportunities. All that is trying to be achieved with a discussion such as this, is whether or not the community thinks, that the current restrictions by staff and script are okay? Or would we like to see more of this RP being allowed to just flow and let itself resolve ICly. Is it more of a player mentality? I personally would always go through with any RP players have done, or want to try get away with as long as it is creative and well written!
  11. To clarify, I believe he is not talking about pointing outwards from the driver seat to take a hostage as you would at a traffic stop. He is talking about a passenger sitting next to him in the front seat, and not being able to RPly aim a gun at him. There are no changes to the script needed, just more of an openness with allowing for RP to freely flow. Well the idea behind that is furthering that RP. The idea of Rply hiding you gun is both a benefit and a curse. Using the script given feature we assume the fact it is not hidden atall, this allows cops to find it easily and for passengers to access it easily. The idea behind hiding you gun is that this is not in an easy access position now. If I rply hide my gun and want to get out and rob someone, I would need to go through that same RP to retrieve the hidden gun. Much like with the ID RP. I mean your saying, just because there is script there doesn't mean it should require extra RP? I know for example with LSPD, you cannot just access the infinite faction locker, you have to RP storing an extra kevlar for example. Even though it is scriptly there.
  12. I did not realise you would need senior admin approval for something like this? This just seems like natural RP, had the officer taken the time to search the car RPly he would have found it. Quite often recently I have had my car searched, and every time it has been done with detailed /me's. They search underneath the chairs along the dashboard etc. rply to see where the gun might be hidden. If the officers chose to actually RP searching vehicles instead of just instantly getting in pressing I to see then getting back out. It seems very much like they have fallen back onto the script because they simply do not want to RP.
  13. Completely agree with everything said here. Staff want us to RP more, and then restrict us at every opportunity. Every staff has a different ruling on every piece of RP.
  14. I guess this is more of a question for FM than me...
  15. Again, are you talking about in response to the new turf lore system? With the updated map above, I was not around for 2020, so am not sure if this lore map existed. But the idea of this map is very good just the RP should be allowed to flow within these limitations of the "lore map". I agree one gang controlling all turfs is not good.
