  1. @DimaDan - I can empathize with the frustration, trust me I can and if I could provide you with script support I would. I implore you to take this time to look at fun in a different perspective than what you are typically used to. Look for more in-depth roleplay opportunities or put in some behind the scenes work to creating an amazing scenario. Fun shouldn't solely rely on script support and weapons. Now, speaking to crime update when, that is unknown as development takes time and what, that is undisclosed information and can only be provided by very specific people when they deem it right. I ask that you don't get offended by my stating 'just having fun' because yet again, there is absolutely nothing I can do script wise for you. In my capacity as staff I'm actively working on alternate avenues of fun for members of the community. I spend hours a day editing roleplay proposals, planning events, fixing tires in game (I swear I answer about 50 tire reports a day), etc. Do not think we are sitting idly by doing nothing - there is only so much we can do. If anything, I spend more time trying to make sure the community as a whole is having as much uninterrupted fun as possible than focusing on my own roleplay. @Tomvd682 - Content comes with time and it's not something that happens simply over a day, week, or even month. It can be agonizing but patience is key.
  2. @DimaDan - You are welcome to have all the fun you want within the server, nobody is stopping you and telling you that you can't have fun within your current capacities. Again the market being down is an IC situation which every player at one point has most likely encountered an IC situation that they have to learn to work around. When staff are flying in planes it's OOC and being LEOs has nothing to do with it - we're staff and this is the same when we spend hours and hours of time testing things and planning events to give the community some fun. Would you like for us to stop planning and organizing events and fun things within our power because there has been no criminal update? There is also nothing development side that any of us can do for a criminal update - we're not the coders in the server who can script something to provide you with more.
  3. @DimaDan - The development team, who are the only ones that can provide a criminal update, are completely separate and have no bearing on flying planes. I do not see the connection between the 2 in any way, shape, or form.
  4. People have been informed that this is an IC issue by staff members. There is nothing more that can be said about it on an OOC platform as we all know that would be metagaming. @mexicanwave - The laptop is IC. The market is IC. Saying anything about it OOCly ahead of time would be metagaming.
  5. This is not a bug - it's an IC issue.
  6. Hello there - Reading through this, I do not see an actual specific and fleshed out suggestion here, just a discussion. If you have a specific suggestion then feel free to edit your original post or request that this post be moved to discussion as that is more appropriate. That aside.... The TL;DR at the bottom asked the question of is anybody working on something for criminals. The answer to this has been stated time and time again by multiple people and the answer is yes. As far as specifics, those are private and everybody just needs to remain patient. Yes, it is frustrating waiting but that is just how the development process works. Illegal factions have been asked for development suggestions - this would have never occurred if nobody cared or wanted to work on something. You will get an update regarding a criminal update when staff are able to provide updates and this will, as always, be done in the ECRP Discord. Also, there are no new legal government factions coming to the server right now and SAAA is just a fun thing that some staff members, myself included, are doing and nothing more. The laptop is not bugged, your stock is gone and it's an IC issue. I'm not sure what more can be said here - I answered your question which again, has been answered many times. So please advise, where is the actual specific game suggestion here?
  7. Thank you for the clarification - your earlier response seemed you wanted this archived. Apologies for the miscommunication. That aside, I will be giving this suggestion a -1 considering that there should not be an NCZ where you are free to quite literally farm money into your account with no consequence.

    Repair kits

+1 Under the stipulation that a repair kit would not fully repair your vehicle and instead provide you with a predetermined amount of time to operate said vehicle so you are able to go to LSC or Bayview. The reason for this is to ensure we are not depriving 2 factions with roleplay opportunities by having everybody simply buy repair kits. Along with this, repair kits should be slightly expensive as a drawback to not waiting for a mechanic to arrive to the scene.
  9. @jayjay1987 - Would you like this suggestion to be archived?
  10. So speaking from personal experience as many also know, prison seems to be this "free for all" where people enjoy just DMing each other for no reason, attempt to take hostages for no good reason, mic spam, etc. One thing, granted this is solely a personal opinion, that feeds into this is the lack of reporting. While all players should take reporting another very seriously, there are more times than I can count when there are mindless fights and Non-RP behaviors in prison that go unreported and thus the cycle continues where people think this behavior is okay. Reporting another player, especially in game, can provide for a learning opportunity and reeducation where it is needed as well as assist in providing a more positive roleplay environment. The idea of "it's fine just ignore it" does truly need to be altered. Aside from a perspective that requires script support (ie: mining increase, stamp value increase, poker buy in lowered, etc.) just from a roleplay standpoint, I think prison rp could heavily be improved if people learn the rules better including Non-RP and contribution to immersion. Let me just roll a few examples at you.... Does it make much sense to make a shank to hold a guard hostage for a bottle of vodka? No, not really at all because your risk vs reward is heavily weighed for consequence, so why do it? Does it make much sense to crowd around intake and punch metal bars and threaten guards? Well, first ICly your fists would be bleeding from impact (everybody apparently has fists of steel these days) and there are cameras right there that are recording your behavior so you may face reprimands later and then OOCly you're just creating a situation where you're limiting your own roleplay. Does it make much sense to walk up to a guard in the cellblock and just punch them for no reason at all? No, and that is also in violation of DM rules. The stigma around prison as a whole needs to change and players on both sides need to want to provide immersive and realistic roleplay. I am more than happy to consent to a brawl, a minor hostage situation, and really cool roleplay but it has to be realistic and well done. As a whole in the server we want to see less action roleplay and of course less rule breaks. I don't think this will change until the mindset of players starts to change. People who know me also know that I'm a very big advocate of heavier and more involved roleplay and I strive to promote more player-player interaction (although I do also enjoy solo roleplay, yes I'm one of those randoms). I cannot promote this interaction if I'm constantly surrounded by rule breakers and players not contributing to an immersive environment. Roleplay goes both ways and we all have to learn to shift, mold, and adapt for a good experience. This is in no way one-sided and it will take the community working together to improve this.
  11. -1 I am not a fan of just removing vehicles from existence. These vehicles provide for increased immersion as well as potential roleplay and apologies but a scripted park would just completely negate all of this. I understand the fps drops, I experience them as well, but I have to pick immersion/roleplay over this suggestion.
  12. Somewhat Neutral - I'm not sure where a massive benefit would be with this. Are you suggesting a separate area to move money to that is just not accessible? For instance, you have your "Bank Money" which is what is used for basically all purchases. Would you like a "Savings" addition that has untouchable money and you will then be forced to go to the bank during open hours to move money around? What about debt? Would your savings money get compiled together with bank money to pay off debts? I think players should be more than capable of keeping track of their money especially when trying to make a large purchase.
  13. As this thread has deviated from the original suggestion and multiple reports have been filed in regards to commentary, this thread will be locked pending further review.
  14. Thank you for the response @Yputi - it's nice to hear that as you review applications yourself, you thought of this. So as far as the suggestion points go, my thoughts are all below. To all reading this, this is just my person preference for the panel and having more of a separation between what information should be available IC vs OOC. I absolutely understand the convenience of every single thing suggested and don't necessarily think any would be a bad idea, it's just solely preferences. A simple chart that visualizes your time spent on the server, where you can filter on: week, month, year. Neutral - It would be nice to see activity trends. Not fully necessary but something that would be pretty cool to see (and I can see what months I had no life). However on the other hand, this would require constant tracking, sorting, and compilation of time spent for hundreds of players. This may seem simple but from what I know about data-basing and queries, it's not the easiest thing to put together for such a large player base although again, it would be cool to see. Change "Play Time" to pure hours instead of dd/hh/mm/ss +1 - I'm not the biggest fan of the dd/hh/mm/ss layout as it is somewhat confusing. Total hours would be much better in my opinion Add "cash" & "salary" section on character info, next to "bank" so I know how much money each character in total has. -1 - I already think it is a bit much to have a money amount on the panel and see no reason to separate out the money into cash and salary sub sections. I think players should have to log in to see, for example, how much they were paid by their faction. (Addition to the suggestion above): add a total to each character where you can see how much cash, bank money and salary a character got in total + show per character what tax bracket they are in. -1 - Pretty much for the same reasons as above. I would rather reduce the amount of IC information on the panel, not increase it. Add "Vip status" to the dashboard +1 - This would help people keep track of their VIP status in case it's going to lapse and they may not be aware of it. This is also OOC information that would be appropriate. Make each character in the list on the panel have a drop down menu with all the info per character instead of having them all together. This way you can specifically check vehicles per character. For example: Clicking on character "Audrey_Sanchez" will make the list of all vehicles that character owns show up. +1 for Vehicles only - If you have a long list of vehicles, it can extend your panel quite significantly. I would much rather have a vehicle "spoiler" where it remains hidden and after clicking a small arrow, you can open up the already present listings and information for all vehicles. Add "properties" to each character. (like: "Carson Ave 26") This would be great to combine with the suggestion right above this one. -1 - Again more IC information that I don't feel needs to be listen on the panel Add a "dark mode" for my poor eyes +1 - Yes please. I do know there are extensions you can use to convert it to dark mode but a small embedded toggle would be nice Add "server status" somewhere in the left corner maybe Neutral - I feel this is not the most necessary as just by going to the main ECRP page prior to going to the Panel or Forums you can see server status. Along with this you can look at it within the Discord Add "last online" per character +1 - Sure why not Also OP I made it colorful just for you!
  15. What I'm referencing is the faction application process on the government forums where you are requested to provide an unedited screenshot of your full panel. The applications are posted on public sections of the site during the hiring process and following this (depending on the faction) are then hidden from view.
  16. @Cevon Whitfield - I'm unsure of the quote as well as a -1 to what I posted. I was asking OP a question regarding the suggestion.
  17. OP may I ask why the request for more IC information on an OOC platform? Also bear in mind that government factions request a full unedited screenshot of your panel of which all of this information would be viewable to anybody on the government site.
  18. Item limitations have already been increased very recently up to 30. I believe it should stay this way at least for some time prior to even considering increasing the limit. One thing related to this that I believe is being looked over is that there are standalone 1 and 2 garage places/trailers with nothing surrounding them. As of right now, the property around them is usable for furniture and they shouldn't be limited as they have the same, if not more, free space than some of the 3 or 4 garage houses on the map. Now on to build areas - all properties have the same kind of build radius, to my knowledge. Unless each and every property was individually looked at, analyzed, and mapped out, changing build radius per property should remain exactly as it is now. To me, as nice as it would be to be able to build on your entire property, this would be tedious work and an absurd undertaking for the development team and not fully worth the massive effort that could be placed elsewhere. Overall fairly neutral on this suggestion as it's made with good intention but I don't think it's feasible due to vast differences in properties of all sizes/capacity and the work it would take to make such big changes.
  19. So I understand the want for the ability to AFK in prison, however, I will have to -1 this suggestion. I currently roleplay as a DOC guard and whenever I am on duty I actively promote and partake in roleplay with every inmate to provide as fun of an RP experience as I possibly can. As a member of the faction, I have duties to attend to and a certain hour threshold to hit. If prisoners were allowed to AFK their sentence and just not interact, that would negatively impact my own roleplay as well as every active DOC member who is striving to promote more roleplay. I will always be an advocate for more activities within the prison so it is easier to pass time while solo and I do hope we see improvements soon, even small ones like a decrease in the poker table buy in, but I just cannot stand behind the want to not roleplay within a roleplay server.
  20. Please keep this thread respectful and focused on the efforts of the posting faction members and gang. We would like to see constructive commentary as opposed to any OOC negativity. Should there be any concerns do report the post as appropriate. All of us are here to promote good roleplay within the server and increased opportunities/development. Please maintain that approach even in times of IC wars especially considering this thread is OOC.
  21. So while I understand where you are coming from with this suggestion, I will have to put in a -1 for more than one reason. The first reason is you are assuming the roleplay reason for somebody not being in the city following a ban. Many people like to assume "deportation" while the banned player might actually roleplay being out of town for an extended trip. Secondly, a ban can be successfully overturned for many reasons, sometimes for an incorrectly issued punishment. Why should these players be punished by having their business removed if they can actually appeal and come back to the server? The only way I would be in support of something like this is following continued unsuccessful appeals which is already pretty much tied to inactivity resales of businesses due to the fact that the banned individual will obviously not meet activity requirements to keep their business.
  22. A few things in response to this: 1. Is this suggestion for a scripted freelance job to be added to the server? From my initial read through it seems more of a suggested faction which has it's separate place (see point 2). 2. Should my assumption from point 1 be correct, this would be something to go about ICly with government communication and business registration. For the faction aspect of it, you can begin a thread in the appropriate section of the forums.
  23. This can also add very interesting roleplay (perhaps even get mechanics involved). I like this!
  24. +1 as I think it's a shame that trucker jobs are solely player based. @Nick_Smokerson - I think for MD supplies it would just be for realistic travel to that location. I see no issue with having truckers get AI orders from places/businesses that would realistically need to make continued orders (ie: hospitals, clothing stores, offices, etc). Nothing would change aside from a player pulling up to a designated marker to "deliver supplies"
  25. Please lets try to maintain common courtesy on this thread and stay on the original topic without turning this into a criminal vs leo back and forth. OP - While it is known that unfortunately FPS does indeed have the capability of significantly altering gameplay as far as vehicle speeds are concerned, I am unsure of what an actual counter to this is outside of analyzing each vehicle independently and enforcing a speed cap like the cruise control system works which I don't think would be necessarily fair. No matter which way you flip the coin and it lands, I believe there to not be the most perfect balancing that we would all like to see.
