Make people slow down in general. Not just at the bank.
TreMetal Posted December 16, 2019 Report Posted December 16, 2019 +1 to promote more realistic driving. I am pretty sure if this was a real city almost every business owner would be petitioning for a speed camera near their business given how people drive on this server.
Dylan Ortiz Posted December 16, 2019 Report Posted December 16, 2019 -1 as currently no matter what car or who’s car you are in you get a ticket for it even if it’s a stolen car. The fines you get are huge as it is and if you had to run from the cops this would just stack even more
CaesarSeizure Posted December 16, 2019 Report Posted December 16, 2019 -1 I think its lazy to try to solve people speeding by just adding more cameras. You cant really compare the amount of cameras IRL to this, as the traffic in the city is a small fraction of that.

Victor Einhart Posted December 16, 2019 Report Posted December 16, 2019 I don't like the speed cameras but they are a necessary evil to fight what was at the time a huge OOC problem of people getting run over in NCZs. While the problem wasn't 100% eliminated it was dramatically reduced. What I really don't like about the cameras is how it impacts new players, where they aren't yet in the mindset of driving like a human being and go at full speed everywhere and find themselves thousands of dollars in debt sitting in a cell for reckless driving. 1

Luxas Posted December 16, 2019 Report Posted December 16, 2019 -1 in its current form +1 if we are told where they are, at the moment its a guessing game "its somewhere at the end of the bridge, not sure where" - give us something to show us where the speed cameras area, add them to the minimap or maybe have a purchasable item that we can get to mark out speed traps 1

Parking lot is not NCZ so why would there be camera? It’s not a security camera. It’s a speed camera. They would only be used to catch the speed and fine people.

I think new players should be made to take the driving test. Iv come across new players that didn’t even know about cruise control or the speed limit. If there made to do the test this would help them out a lot.

Please note that I am seeing it from a UK perspective, our speed cameras are MASSIVE bright yellow boxes that stick into the road, we can always see them and always have warnings before hitting them. Not sure on what the US speed cameras look like or if they are tiny and hidden or not. But even a sign or a notification on screen "You are entering a speed controlled area, please drive carefully"

I'm not opposed to more speed camera especially considering the insane driving by people not even in a police chase. I would, however, like to see the automatic reckless charge removed if more cameras did make their way into the server.
