  3. SUGGESTION DENIED Thank you for your patience while this suggestion was being reviewed/researched. After reviewing/researching this suggestion, we have decided to deny it for the following reason(s): Super cars are auctioned by server staff on the eclipse forums. They have been removed from the dealership to improve immersion. This decision is final. Unless instructed to, do not post another suggestion pertaining to this topic. 4. You're showing some extreme examples that don't portray how these factions really act or should act. I suggest you submit IA reports for poor roleplay standards, forum report or both.
  5. To answer your question: there's no difference other than the presence of sync issues. If you are the passenger of a bike/car you can point a gun towards someone and give demands. As long as they would be realistically audible and the other party would be able to aknowledge the threat, they are valid. To make them valid you also have to use a /me to "point the gun" before you do it with your mouse. This is necessary because some people may not see you have a gun in your hand due to sync issues.
  6. Approach the issue ICly, have the officer punished and get paid. You can also submit OOC IA reports and forum reports if you get shot for no reason other than running. Two pages of complaints but is anyone thinking about a solution?
  7. There are more relevant standards that should be enforced
  8. +1 Yes please More people owning one business means more roleplay and it's actually a common thing. Due to script limitations it's hard to manage the asset when there's more than one owner.
  9. I'll share some knowledge that may help you with choosing clothes: nowadays the only mafia members that dress fancy are those who can show their wealth because they are business men (even when we're talking about small companies) or because they have their hands into politics. Associates, soldiers or even lieutenants wear casual clothes such as sporty track suits if they do no meet the characteristics mentioned above. They avoid unisex clothing but do not wear suits 24/7. Those are reserved for special occasions, just like me and you would do in real life. I hope this is taken into consideration, because most factions that try to emulate italian mobs dress like they're straight out of Il Padrino (The Godfather) or Boardwalk Empire.
  10. +1 Been waiting for CK for a long time.
  11. I'd keep it as is. The new city hall and new LSC are stressing enough for old computers. If we add more modded interiors the area will become problematic. Additionally, with the current server population and the dimensions of LSEMS as a faction, what we have is enough.
  12. I can agree gloves work when they want. They can either hinder an entire investigation or make it so a suspect gets charged even if they've planned everything perfectly.
  13. @Qiang Me and someone else saw players use money trucks to ram vehicles out of NCZs (Vinewood and Vespucci Police Stations) for tenths of meters, even when we were online. Sadly staff members can't just believe anything another player says and act upon it. It is not going to be easy but you will need evidence of the player breaking the rule, and I know how you're feeling.
  14. I have to agree with most of the points brought up by @Bala and all those mentioned by @ClankH. I wouldn't say that all the violence in the server should result in shooting and I did not enjoy when the criminal part of the community used to shoot left and right around the map every minute (2 years ago). At the same time, there should be more freedom related to violence and not everything should result in forum reports and eventually a breach of the DM rule. As @ClankH said, if I run someone over by mistake, they should be allowed to at least shoot at me. It would make sense to get shot for running someone over. An eye for an eye. While a good part of the community (and I am not talking about all of us) should keep in mind that not every conflict has the objective of "shoot & loot", the rules should also support the random conflicts more than they do now, lifting some of the restrictions.
  15. +1 good idea. It's kind of weird to not be able to see a receipt. Even when you have to submit a complaint, you won't know the exact sum.
  16. Je m'apelle omelette du fromage. Cool story. Not too original but different and definitely better than the usual street gangster stuff.
  17. +1 Kinda stupid to have to ask officers for background checks when IRL you either check them on the internet with your digital identity or request an authentic copy from city hall (if the employer asks for it, for example)

  19. +1 People wear body cameras when it's convenient and all of a sudden, they dont have it anymore, when it's not convenient
  20. All the suggestions are cool, some of them are a little bit "too much" for the server but most of the ideas are definitely doable and I have nothing to add except for the "removing the cap from official criminal factions". The cap was added and reduced years ago for one reason: playability. Go to a gang meeting with many members, let's see how your FPS drop. Go to a scene where many gangs and law enforcement are involved? Your game will crash. You can have an "empire" and people can be affiliated with you without having them be in your F4 and have them roll with you 24/7. Maybe being in a gang is a thing they want do on the side. You don't have to tie everyone to a script to make them members or affiliates of your gang. Last but not least, PD and SD dont have 300 members in total and the never did. Try to check out a bank robbery from 00 UTC to 12PM UTC. Criminals will outnumber one of the two factions easily. At that time the cops online go from 1 to 10ish for each faction. When a bank gets robbed or an important drop is picked up, a gang has more than 10 people online at the same time, and I am saying it out of experience. Imagine if two team up to rob a bank. Cops have an entire city/county to take care of and are already outnumbered from 00 to 12pm, just leave it that way so both banks and civilians can have their share of cops to RP with. There's however one thing I would add for the criminal side: make it so people can get robbed almost everywhere at night. Change rules so nights become dangerous just like in real life in most big cities. You walk around by yourself at night in a place that is not San Andreas Avenue, Legion Square or High End? You can get robbed.
  21. Hello. Currently there's no IC way to open safes without the owner present unless you go through the 10000 combinations that one may have, so I was thinking about something that can change that. Crafting Workstations I agree, the name reminds me of minecraft too, but it can be changed. Its purpose would be creating three items (or more). An illegal item and two legal ones. Examples (it could look more like a massive industrial looking thing): Thermite: created at the workstation with iron and bauxite. The workstation will allow you to make iron dioxide and alluminium powder to mix together for thermite. (in real life it's a compound made by 75% red iron dioxide and 25% alluminium powder, which originates from bauxite) The quantities should not be too excessive but it would take hours to make 1x iron dioxide & 1x alluminium powder. Less than that to make thermite. Used to open safes. A long timer would come out and it would have a very small percentage of failing, blowing up the cotents of the safe and setting the player on fire without necessarily injuring him, just like the camp fire (maybe add a mini game after the timer to determine it?) Using thermite requires working gloves, which are already available in stores. This would also add script support to the following charge, used very rarely: Wooden traps: created at the workstation with branches and 1x food from any store. They are meant to be cheap to manufacture and should place many of them. After placing them in the hunting grounds, there's a chance that you may find a dead animal on them 10 to 30 minutes after placing them. They allow you to capture only small animals such as rats, hens and rabbits. There's a chance that they may break. Advanced traps: created at the workstation with 1x log, 1x tin, 1x lead and 1x food from any store. As the name says, they're more advanced, weigh more and it takes more time to make them. After placing them in the hunting grounds, there's a chance that you may find a dead animal on them 30 to 45 minutes after placing them. They allow you to capture any kind of animal. They do not break. The industry that manufactures these workbenches can be located around this area and they should be quite expensive. I was also going to suggest to be allowed to place these workbenches anywhere, however, due to the amount of electricity the tools use, timers would be normal inside warehouses and business properties while they're three or four times longer inside houses and apartments. These workbenches should weigh a lot since there would be many heavy machinery/tools included (30-50 vol). Also when removing them, the timer should be quite lenghty so if someone tries to steal them, it can't be done in a few seconds. How would this change the server? Anyone can open safes, not only PD & SD. At the same time, law enforcement agencies have more chances to fail and they don't have to rely on Senior Admins+ More usage for ores and more importance to mining ores Add more ways to hunt (people can steal someone else's traps and/or prey too) Many workstations together can turn a place into a factory that sells these items Please tell me if there's anything I missed or better ideas that you may want to add.
  22. +1 I honestly don't see why not, as long as it's only repairs.
  23. +1 I think it should become a thing again. If it's abused, you can report the person doing it, just like it used to be.
  24. Hello everyone. Since the update that modified fuel consumption for vehicles, almost all of them became less fuel efficient. I noticed that most people didn't really agree with the changes, however, that isn't really what I wanted to talk about. Currently there is no reason at all for anyone to remove upgrades from their car and make it stock. If you buy a stock car, you will slowly try to upgrade it. If you buy it fully modified a.k.a. maxed, you are going to keep it like that unless you prefer higher suspensions. The suggestion is the following: vehicles with stock engine and NO turbo upgrade = consume less fuel vehicles with upgraded engine and turbo upgrade = consume more fuel Some of you may ask why would I suggest this and why would that make sense. I will explain it briefly here below. If the only thing that interests you is how the suggestion will apply to the server, go directly to "Back to GTA V & EclipseRP logic". Fuel usage on cars I'll not go into detail (also I am not a mechanic) but most civilian vehicles that are meant for daily driving and not racing have engines designed to be as balanced and fuel economic as possible. A vehicle can be fuel efficient by being aerodynamic, having good quality well-inflated tires, careful weight distribution, having a modern automatic transmission, position of the engine close to the drivetrain, etc. The less energy it takes to make it move, the better. An engine can be fuel efficient by making it produce as much energy as possible while burning as little fuel as possible. Diesel engines were invented to produce more power while using less fuel. With the rise of electronic devices controlling the injection of fuel, engines became more efficient while reducing emmissions over the years i.e. vtec, gasoline direct injection, etc. There is one thing that cannot be changed: the engine cannot magically make more horsepower without burning more fuel. When you tune your engine to produce more power, measured with horsepower, you make it so your stock fuel injectors and valves are replaced by high performance parts that are better at injecting fuel with microseconds precision, more compression. At the same time, you will have your ECU (Engine Control Unit, basically the car's CPU) know that you want more power by adjusting certain parameters. This doesn't essentially mean it is going to be less fuel efficient, but it certainly won't be a better daily drive. Turbos are devices that capture the compressed very hot air generated by burnt fuel and use it to spin a turbine. The whole system makes it so the engine can suck in more cold air that atmosphere alone would allow, making it burn fuel faster. These devices allow small engines to produce the power of bigger engines while eliminating the fuel economy penalty at low RevolutionsPerMinute. A lot of new cars have turbocharged engines from factory. This, however, doesn't mean you can't replace the factory system with an aftermarket one that allows the engine to produce more power. I am aware that in GTA you can't really control RPMs so you will rev your engine to the max before it will automatically shift gears. If you got lost during the boring part, I will repeat the sentence that kind of summarizes it all: the engine cannot magically make more horsepower without burning more fuel. Back to GTA V & EclipseRP logic Engine upgrade: increases acceleration and top speed. I believe it should increase fuel usage too (each upgrade +2.5%) Turbo upgrade: increases acceleration and top speed. I believe it should increase fuel usage too (+15%) I would also lower the fuel usage of all vehicles by at least 20% so fully upgraded cars will consume as much fuel as they do now. A slow vehicle will actually have its perks while a racing capable vehicle will stay as it is now. Obviously the percentages can be adjusted by the developers as they deem fit. This won't only reduce the amount of vehicles we see fly at unrealistic speeds but also reduce the amount of overly modified vehicles that make us all look like fast & furious stuntmen or F1 pilots. At the same time, people that don't buy certain cars to go 145+ will enjoy their daily drive while using less fuel at safer speeds. New players will have to stop at gas station less than others since they usually drive stock cars. Some people may even purchase fully maxed cars to downgrade them. The used cars market will be more diversified. More work for mechanic factions.
  25. +1 I believe motorcycles should be 50% more fuel efficient that they are now, except the BF400. That thing is broken compared to other bikes, talking about performance and fuel.
