  1. Most of the times we get alerted because someone cut the wires and we check on the store to see what's wrong and fix them. If this system would not be in place, we would physically check the cameras to make sure they are working because let's be honest: if there's no cameras, there's no suspects. I really don't mind to have it changed in a way that PD cannot watch live footage but if you cut the wires without holding the clerk at gunpoint, he will alert police (and you can still watch the footage from before the wires got cut, since it would all be saved in some data storage that is secured in the back room). For banks however it would make sense to be able to see the live footage because usually there is no storage unit inside the banks (unless it's one of those old ones, maybe in the middle of the desert like the Route68 one). The footage would be broadcasted and saved in a location far away from the actual bank.
  2. Date and time (provide timezone): December 10th Character name: Samuele Colonna Issue/bug you are reporting: It is not really a bug but the vehicles' speed, fuel and condition are not visible because of snow and it just does not make sense. Expected behavior: The vehicles' speed, fuel and condition should be visible at all times, not only in dark places and first person. Evidence, notes worth mentioning, steps to replicate: Drive in third person during the day, in the snow. A thin black outline around the numbers would solve it and it doesn't even require too much effort. It can then be removed in 20 days or whenever snow will be removed.
  3. For once I agree with all the points made by @MrUntouchable215. @alexalex303 is being a little drastic here but he highlighted some real issues. Masks - wear them whenever you commit a crime or even when you are speeding, but take it off when you are behaving like a normal civilian. The only person that would enjoy wearing some accessory that obstructs some of your senses and your normal breathing ability is a psycho straight out of a splatter movie such as Halloween. If you are fishing, chilling in an NCZ like the bank or a police station or you are simply sitting in your car listening to music, realistically, would you randomly wear a mask? I saw a convoy of lowriders the other day and 15% was not wearing a mask. Do latinos really wear bandanas since they wake up until they go back to sleep? I don't know how the US or other countries handle it but you are not allowed to enter some restricted areas with a mask on in Italy. You are physically unable to enter a police station without presenting your ID (and obviously having your face recorded by one of the many CCTVs) but if you manage to do so, with a mask on, you would get detained. Not even the director of a bank can let you in if you wear a mask on. At least take it off when you are 100% clean just for the sake of the realism. Metagaming name tags - something that does happen but it's hard to prove. It does happen even without tinted windows (i.e.: a Kamacho passes you going 180 while you are stationary, you see 4 IDs and instantly know they're 4) ans personally had multiple situations where cadets metagamed it but I kinda let it slide, stated it in writing so other trainers could make sure they dont do it again and move on. However I am guilty for not disciplining those who do it and not giving it too much weight. In almost 2 years of ECRP I think I did by mistake 3 or 4 times too so it's something that happens but serious factions and legal factions should make sure it's not a reoccuring issue. The /alias command is just too powerful in my opinion and force people to wear masks so they can have the freedom this simple command takes away.
  4. Me, a normal dude weighting 70 Kgs, can't hide a desert eagle under a shirt without making it uncomfortable and clearly visible. I don't want to be mean but you can't see that guy's desert eagle because of all the massive protuberances, formed by body fat.
  5. @Mortem The very picture you posted shows a small caliber firearm. You would not be able to efficiently hide a desert eagle by tucking it into your pants because of its size and weight. If you want to hide weapons, buy clothes that allow you to do so and use firearms that are not the .50 I am favorable towards a simple command that allows players to hide weapons (unless they are naked) but the .50, which is the biggest and the most overused pistol in the server, should stay visible.
  6. This is the shit I was waiting for. Now all you have to do is develop as planned. @mikebumbum I hope you find some quality members to provide top notch RP.
  7. Some body/fat/stamina/strenght system could by implemented to support such an update and increase the time people actually spend to take care of themselves.
  8. Is your name Ainsley or Benjamin? The 500k transfer didn't go through.
  9. Metal barriers are not ok cause you get caught so nobody should use them. Spikestrips are bugged but no fucks given cause they "were op". Shooting towards the tires of a vehicle on the highway while nothing is obstructing your line of sight is unrealistic (even if in real life, people who respect traffic laws should pull over to the left and to the right, to avoid obstructing law enforcement). When you're driving 200+ on the other side of the highway however, you're magically able to dodge all the imaginary cars and you're the safest driver alive. Playing the "realistic" card makes you look like you care about the roleplay quality of the server. The problem is you, the very person that is replying to this suggestion which became a pointless back and forth discussion, only see the "unrealistic" side when it affects you a.k.a. you lose. Either try to be 100% unbiased when you want a positive change to happen or carry your egoist narrow-minded ass back to discord general.
  10. +1 The sound and the posture change but in game you don't actually go faster.
  11. Hey Bacon. It depends on the timezone and the players that are currently online at that time. Some new players only want to fist fight until death for no apparent reason while others try to get isolated for the rest of their sentence so they can watch Netflix in peace. I'd say you were lucky.
  12. Some businesses provide a lot of RP and some don't. There organizations that work hard to gain trust and make their businesses/organization well known to the respectable people of Los Santos. I don't expect too much from something like a gas stations that only needs ads and a blip to run but loan companies, security businesses and clubs offer a lot of RP and involve a lot of people. Businesses do fail. When your license costs as much as your profit per month, that is a failed business and some of them are not as successful as others. I agree that there isn't a good number of businesses and some of them cost a lot just because they're rare, not because they actually make a lot of money. Servers with less players have more than our server.
  13. Borderline unplayable is a big statement. When the boat is moving, everything works fine. I had a good number of boat situations from pursuits to simple swimmers so I am not just assuming. When the boat is stationary and nobody is driving it, the waves move it in different locations for all players. Going out of stream range and back in will teleport the boat back where it was left initially but if you stay next to it, you will see it move and people that are on it (and not inside as scripted passengers) will appear to be levitating because the boat is somewhere else for them. That's what the /anchor command should be used for.
  14. Cool suggestion. Exactly what we are looking for to make fishing great again. I included boats in my suggestion because I did not see this one:
  15. Please read before replying. OLD: Since they were added, boats, boat dealerships and the oceanic gas station did not receive any attention. At the beginning, we could even say that some Sea of Thieves fans started using them daily and police received multiple reports of boats being stolen, criminals picking up weapon drops in boats and pirates presence. Day after day, the hype died down and when the Del Perro Pier wasn't a vibrant hot spot (about 6 months ago), they were being used for fishing and evading police in some occasions. Right now, maybe 10 players use boats once a week and since the server shouldn't be all sports cars and drags, we should try to "bring them back". If we talk about fishing, we all know that the Del Perro Pier is where you should go. In real life you would not have so much people fish in such a busy place because noise scare the fish and fishing lines get interwined when everybody is so close together but overall, the Pier is a nice place and it's good for RP. Nothing should change about it except for the fact that fishing isn't dynamic at all. Some of you may think "Does fishing really need all this attention?"; look at the Pier and count all the people that come and go. After doing that, add the criminals that do it when they are bored and the legal workers that get their fishing roads out of their trunks when they're sick of repairing cars. Most of the server fishes but we don't do it at the same time. NEW: I still care about boats and the side of the server that has to do with water and fishing. Nothing changed when it comes to fishing. A fishing rod is still a $1000 investment that can make you rich, despite how boring fishing can really be and the relatively small amount of money it takes to do it. I believe that each and every player did fish at some point and I would want to see more from it. If not for me, then it should be for the new players. Cayo Perico has been introduced months ago but it's still a deserted island. I've been at some events on it and some players use it for criminal roleplay knowing that nobody can bother them there. I'll be honest and say that no suggestion comes through my mind when thinking about Cayo other than rare animals we can hunt and rare fish. What do you think? Downsides Fuel: there's only one gas station and due to prices, most people use jerry cans Desynced: all vehicles are, to be fair, but waves make everything worse Park: your boat will get stolen unless you have a very good hiding spot or a house with boat parking and to be fair, where I live boats don't get stolen Fish: fishing at Del Perro Pier or the dam is really boring while being an acceptable source of income Choice: there are only 3 sea vehicles available for the public Changes Fuel: add a gas station somewhere up north (maybe Paleto) and reduce the import price for fuel COMMANDS ADDED Desynced: add a /anchor command for the captain, that turns it into a stone wall (the only thing that came through my mind) ADDED ON ECLIPSE Park: Add a harbor next to Mors Oceanic, which will work just like the parking lot but more expensive (just like in real life) Impound: with the existence of a harbor there should also be a boat impound somewhere at the docks, even if people hate the word "impound" Fish: fishing in the open sea should be more rewarding (maybe add bigger fish that weight and cost a lot more and certain areas have expensive fish) ADDED ON ECLIPSE Choice: adding more boats can easily solve the problem. With the new /modview we should also be able to cusomize more than before. Devs know better though Dynamic fishing market (The prices you see here are just examples, since it's the foundry menu) Just like the butcher's, the fish drop off should have a dynamic market if more varieties of fish are added for those who do it with a boat in the open sea. Bigger and expensive fish should be found in higher quantities up north, it should weight a lot and having a big boat that can make big trips from the county to Los Santos would add the captain vibe to the game while making it worth the time. An alternative is using a small boat up north, loading the big fish into a truck at the Paleto Pier and driving all the way back to the city to sell it. There are many cool suggestions about fishing so I will link them down below: New Boats Tug The biggest boat available for players. It should cost at least $350.000 so it's not used by randoms in Non-RP ways. It should be the vehicle with most volume and having it nearby (intended as either very close to you or being on it) should allow players to reel in fish with a higher frequence. Maybe they can have an interior like RVs; the 1G ghetto interior with no windows. Toro (4 seats) ADDED ON ECLIPSE Expensive boat for those who really care about showing off and love the sea. Jetmax (2 seats) ADDED ON ECLIPSE The Jetmax is one of the fastest boats in the whole GTA series, and it is the fastest in GTA V (considering both acceleration and top speed). The performance should match the price. Tropic (4 seats) ADDED ON ECLIPSE In the GTA series, the Tropic used to be a mini-yacht. It kinda lost its luxurious traits in the last GTA but it still looks different from other boats. Harbor (next to Mors Oceanic) ADDED ON ECLIPSE The /park feature should be available in multiple areas of the harbor and the /anchor command should not work in such tight places. Cayo Perico - GTA V CAYO PERICO WAS ADDED With the next DLC, announced as the biggest GTA V DLC, Rockstar will add a new island that players can spend time on even when they are not in a mission! With all the water we see, I think that the addition of new sea vehicles is inevitable and having more to allow players to reach the island would be amazing. (It's one of the reasons why I started the suggestion but it got lost while I was writing it up.) Please reply with suggestions and opinions. I might've forgot something that it is worth mentioning and you're probably the only one who noticed
  16. At around 11 PM UTC there's moments when there is 1 or 0 on duty cops. Not a bug in my opinion. You can have 2 or more aliased and they're online but some don't just login to go on duty.
  17. Colonna - Reliability First The Shadow Corporation and Maze Bank are a long standing and well-founded reality and go-between for the citizen of Los Santos. The mediation and middleman services are an essential part of everything we do an offer when it comes to estate and trade. Loans and investments help us know new people and they are often grateful for the help we offer, wanting to work with us more and help each other improve the quality of life. The work we do with people, helps solidify and confirm our professionalism reliability is where Shadow Corp and the Maze Bank logos are represented. Today, Colonna got called by one of our faithful car traders. He got into his Tornado Custom, after receiving the call, and headed to meet the parties involved. The day before it was a Pfister Neon, today it was a Schlagen GT for a Rapid GT and some cash. Since cash was involved, we all had to meet at the 'Theater of Fraud', the Los Santos Bank. The owner of the Rapid GT appeared with someone else who looked like another mediator, which was confusing at first, since it was not part of the arrangement. The involvement of a forth party would have slowed everything down and it surely does not symbolize trust. Colonna however took the matters in his hands and explained to both parties how everything would go down, since he has much more experience in the matter and he works for respectable entities and has multiple references, they can look have faith that he will ensure a fair transaction. After checking the money, the keys and the papers, we continued with the exchange. The money and the papers for the Rapid GT, given first, then the keys for the V8 beast. When all was set, the hands were traded across, Simon received the keys for the Rapid GT, and everyone parted ways. The now owner of the Schlagen went to show his new car to friends and considered it an achievement, since he would not have been able to buy it with cash. For Simon it's all business and profit, soon the vehicle will find a new owner and a new trade will commence. After making sure everyone was happy with what they got, Colonna left, as it was already getting late and the trade took more than expected. Business may be work, and pay the bills, but it's also the satisfaction of making sure everything happens as it should.
  18. I think this deserves to be brought up again, since it received suggestions and no negative feedback yet. The parole bureau is currently functional and works for people that go to prison, while those who go to jail have to stay there up to 45 minutes, despite their position or wealth. My idea was paying 500 dollars for something like 5 minutes (failure to pay a fine), 2000 for around 10-15 minutes and up to 8000 or more when we talk about 45 minutes charges, which are on the edge of being felonies or are felonies with modifiers (tampering with evidence, attempted grand theft auto, accessory to armed robbery, etcetera).
  19. I am neutral. All the Bad RP ratings I received are from salty people that take frustration on an OOC level.
  20. A company that has their HQs at Grapeseed (because realistically the costs of having a big lot in such area would be minimum), which is in between Sandy and Paleto would be super cool. Personally I think it should be just like DCC but give more of an old vibe due to the area where it operates. Having more than one off-road vehicles would also be something that distinguishes them from DCC.
  21. I had been a government job in the past but with one of the updates not only the pay dropped but also the amount of work. There usually are 2 orders out in the morning 7 am to 12 am utc and they're taken within 5 minutes. Later than that, they're gone in less than a 1 minute and the pay is just not worth it. You can definitely see that they're all taken at the same time because trucks arrive at dealerships/fuel stations all together. I think that trucking should be divided in two categories: - Fully scripted trucking: players can rent the truck at the yard and do runs just like with GoPostal, Union Depository, etc.. People that have their personal trucks should be allowed to do the same. - Truckers on request: the current system but a personal truck is needed to take a request. If the pay is too low, the player will continue doing fully scripted runs and the business owner will hopefully increase the pay if nobody takes the request.
  22. -1 Don't talk shit about the .50 On a serious note, I expect certain concerns to be brought up by players who can uphold extremely qualitative RP. I would not have laughed while reading the topic if another player brought up the concerns. In the first video, I agree such rifle is kind of overkill for Felony Evading charges while in the second, your statement is incorrect. P.S.: stingers don't work all the times. They were almost functional just before the HUD update but not anymor.
  23. I simply don't see your point here. It's covered by salt
  24. Two minutes? They're literally around the corner!
