  1. Sorry to disappoint, but PD is already limited by internal rules regarding you having multiple heavy guns (micro is a micro and is considered a pistol replacement). With no evidence, hard to say if this is a common occurrence you face or if its just a 1 time thing, or it never happened.
  2. +1 to the idea in general, but i think it should not be as easy as a water drop off, as that would just make it too easy for people to sail out, get fish and then easy money. Additionally, while criminals might not like this, PD boat needs a buff, it is incredibly slow and with any deployment and response time, you might as well never call PD if you get robbed in the water.
  3. -1 Same could be said about taco and garbage jobs, but you have to work with what you have. Call a cab, have a friend drive you there, consider a different career. I feel like players need to learn to adapt to the world they are in rather than have rules tailored to them.
  4. +1 would be very interesting for a big part of the forum to be in-game accessible as well as provide a better way for people to communicate.
  5. So how would you suggest the economy be revamped, as right now there really isnt a suggestion here, other than "make things cheaper", and to that fuel is cheap, you get welfare every hour that will likely cover your fuel for more than the hour, food and drink is cheap if you find a store that is cheaper. Everything else is not a necessity and honestly, just getting a job fixes those issues.
  6. I think with the upcoming legal changes to the city, it would be interesting to punish repeat offenders more and offer a better chance to turn their lives around for those that are staying clean.
  7. -1, only MD, PD and SD have NCZ protection in terms of jobs. Maybe take a taxi or a city be to your job, have a friend drop you off, use the available NCZs to your advantage, but adding more will not help and at the end NCZ does not mean your car wont get stolen.
  8. I think that removing the cap wouldn't hurt. The factions currently all have <60 in their faction anyway, which means they are not just rushing to get to 60.
  9. I think for a lot of new players, we do need to help them out. When i started i had 0 clue about RP and only when i met more and more did i learn it properly. But ye, the amount of combat logging is crazy, especially when those new players choose to go criminal. They do something, start a chase, they mess up and log out or they suddenly "have to go bro". I had a situation where it was 3 of us that started chasing someone, they crashed and as we arrived to the spot, the logged out. We waited, they came back and realizing we are still there, logged out again. that was 20-25min of waiting and just dicking around while the time passes. Then we get into an RP scenario, and when we are done with that, another new player shows up. Starts doing NRP stuff and completely ignores our RP to the point we call an admin. While the admin is there talking to him, he logs out... It is just not fun to miss out on RP by sitting there doing nothing, because some dude decided to alt-f4. I am really interested what the though process is in their mind, because there clearly is no long term plan for these people, simply because you wont get far if at the first sign of trouble you just log out.
  10. Maybe if it is handled in game and just for combat logging. As when people log from an active scene, their intention is to not lose anything, so making them lose everything would be very justified. But regarding other punishments or com,bat log reports from the forums - no need as they likely have different stuff on them at that point and could very much just cause someone to lose a lot just for a small punishment.
  11. +1 would be great to adjust peoples volumes individually rather than just /vol proxy.
  12. Should really just be separated from NRP punishments, make it so that the 2nd/3rd punishment you get is a ban.
  13. Would be interesting to see, but considering how many people are per gang, it would likely be a huge mess that would end in a team deathmatch. But, if a good enough idea is presented to staff on how to do this, then it could be interesting.
  14. Just need to fix spikes and barriers will go away, we work with what we have.
  15. Sounds like some kind of fanboy.
  16. No younger than 60? Really limiting your market.
  17. -1 simply because, there already is a question channel in discord (which already helps people with their chances to become support), people with the support tag don't have any power and mostly answer /report 1, and lastly as this is more text based RP server, having more stuff in the chat box is not the answer.
  18. I think combat logging should be made under a different punishment set or could be put under metagaming punishments. Metagaming punishments take 3 to get you banned, and they are based on gaining an advantage through OOC means, which logging is. This way people would still have a chance to learn from their mistake without instantly getting banned, but the chances to learn are reduced. But i don't think a 1 and done policy should be applied on the very first time.
  19. +1 this has been suggested previously and it is still something that would be great, even if it would be limited to the casino right now, it would be good. They already have players vs the house, meaning that the money is not "spawned in" and it could also allow multiple people to play at the same time.
  20. for gangs to fight, they need to have something to fight over. What do you expect would happen with such a rule as you are suggesting? Do you think that it should be OOC enforced that gangs should immediately take hostile action the moment they see another gang? Gangs might be enemies, but they have nothing to fight for, so why fight?
  21. you didnt get rejected from MD for your admin record... For PD/DCC, wait? Edit. You should be able to apply for PD when the apps open, as long as you dont get any other punishments. Additionally, PD requires you to have the XP on the character you are applying with, same for DCC, so spend some time on your character you are applying and you can always check out how other applications look like to see just what kind of effort people put in.
  22. The quiz needs to have some practical testing with realistic scenarios, to let people try the commands they are being asked about. Currently, you just have to explain what is a /me or what is a /do. Personally, i answered the questions from the handbook/rulebook, but it took a few live encounters to actually understand what they mean.
  23. You basically have to, it is a lot easier to recognize people IRL than it is in GTA. targets are smaller and you rely on your graphics setting to see who it is. A bit further down, stuff renders less and you will have issues with not knowing who it is. Additionally, scenes in game are a lot more hectic than those of real life, you cant wave a hand gesture or something similar to help with it. So yes, gangs use colours to let people know - this is our gang, but you will see some gangs have it more open than not. Triads use vehicle colours and masks, zetas have a quite large range to what is their blue. Additionally, with how the gang colours are in game right now, it creates a lot of RP situations for people to either pretend to be in that gang or do crime in another gangs colours to avoid any repercussions. Lastly, this is a game and people want to have fun. It is why cops dont just storm gang HQs 24/7 or arrest people for gang affiliation, same reason why gangs dont just straight up shoot at PD at any given time, its a game. And to your last reply, go right ahead, thats exactly what kind of RP this can create which could actually force gangs to look for other means of identification.
  24. ok first of all, i dont have a house and i dont use a car. Been logging off at DCC while i worked there, and now just do the same at PD. 20-40% increase on freelance jobs in my humble opinion is meaningless. Just join a work faction, freelance work is not supposed to be a money maker, it is to get you started off a bit and make you get used to it. Cant just increase the income from that as criminals can and do do these jobs to make some cash on the side. Lastly, server is fine and well, especially these days, so i dont really see an issue with people leaving if they dont like it, it is not for everyone. At the end, find a server that fits you, rather than trying to change a successful server into something you think is better.
