I dont know about public spots, because while it can cause some frame issues, it does make the areas more alive and makes it possible to find wanted individuals in these areas. I do think that a faction parking would be good, simply because not all factions have the same amount of parking (DCC has the smallest lot when comparing to other legal factions, SD might also be quite small). It would also prevent people from stealing cars from NCZs as it can be hard to catch these kinds of rule breaks and it does not add to RP to have vehicles there. For criminals i dont think its a bad idea as well as most of the time, no one is going into faction HQs trying to steal cars, there will still be some who do. Maybe have a faction limit of cars that can be stored internally to still keep some vehicles out, rather than having all the vehicles off the map.

i dont think its needed and having to type /dep reduces the chance of people accidentally using dep radio over any other commands

+1 it is really difficult to communicate with multiple people outside of meeting face to face.

Ye the current smoke anim should just be replaced with the weed smoke anim.

I don't think anyone is talking about permanently removing the punishments from your logs, just that if you have a DM #1 and DM #2 with a 1 year gap, and you have been actively playing, maybe that should not be an instant ban. People make mistakes, you can get a couple of punishments at the start and go punishment free for a long time, and then make a bad judgement call which would get you banned, even though you were playing without any incident for a very long time.

+1 i think people should avoid going into RP situations for those 15minutes, it is very much the same as combat logging as there is no guarantee that the person will be back the moment the server is back up. Most people probably take a break as sometimes the server can be down a bit after a restart. Additionally, if you would want to call the cops etc, IDs would change, or the people would be gone. Additionally, you putting people into forceful RP situations also limit their ability to log out and avoid item loss.

I say +1, IDs are there for reports and to make communication easier(/w ID, /pm ID, including IDs in mes and dos) I currently enter IDs into MDC after i have identified the individual, so i dont have to type their full name, but from 's suggestion, i see that i can just type part of the name and it will still work, so i'd rather there was no way to MG rather than hoping that people don't do it.

I think a change that could benefit would be that you are either told to drop the gun, at which point you should be allowed to fight back in situations where you are against 1 armed individual (as another discussion or suggestion is talking about, where in certain situations you would try to fight back) OR have the robber do proper roleplay to avoid getting "clapped".

Even better when you dont know theres a body in your trunk and you /delcruiser +1 on having someone dedicated for that, maybe just give MD a vehicle that could store multiple bodies. You could also try to set the business up yourself through IC means first, maybe get in contact with the gov/lspd/md.

Petition to Remove Barrier at Race Track

+1 There just need to be areas where people should be allowed to drive fast without the fear of getting arrested. -
Well you dont get many super car chases IRL as well, but we have to take a lot of things into consideration. Is the car fast - if yes, we need more units to be able to keep up if someone crashes or to have certain cruisers keep up in the city, while others keep up on straights. If the car is gang affiliated - if yes and especially if it is a big gang, you need more units because criminals will set up ambushes or will arrive to the scene of the arrest to help their ally. We do drop responses if the car is not a high risk, but we cant just have 2 cars following an individual for the reasons above and more. (Also sometimes the city is dead quiet, so people do want to have something to do as well - at the end, this is not real life and people want to have fun in a game). It sucks that that happens, while most members of PD i have met are ok, there will be some people that will be not so. Main thing to do in these situations is to get their badge numbers and report them. As this is a big IC thing, without complaints coming in, everything will look ok and no changes can happen. Regarding the stolen stuff, its a mixed bag, we put out BOLOs for stolen vehicles but the city is big and if they go to chop, not much we can do. Regarding items it is even more difficult, as most items dont have any unique features, so only guns are an easier thing to return. Personally, i will try to get items back and even a couple of days ago, managed to do just that, but most of the time, the items are lost. I really dislike the comparisons to how IRL police work vs how they are in game. IRL you also don't have so many criminals per civilians either, so it is what it is. To the last point, criminals do not need evidence and do not have rules for situations like that. PD cant just go searching every green car (sorry WCA, just like the green) because a person says he was robbed by a group of green guys. Here are 2 examples of information provided and you be the judge of what is easier to follow. - 2 guys, 1 had shotgun, 1 had a pistol. 1 wearing grey, 1 wearing black. Black and blue masks. Both had bags. Driving a dark grey SUV with tinted windows. vs - Guys on a hakuchou with clown masks. Sometimes we are limited with the information we are provided. We cant just go around stopping every single guy that has a hakuchou or a clown mask. The first description however, landed the individuals extra time in jail and some items were recovered and returned. But at the end of the day, we rely on evidence to be able to do something, criminals do not. I'm not saying PD or SD are perfect, but these concerns need to be brought up IC, either through IA reports or reaching out to higher ups. If you are unhappy how an officer is handling a situation, ask for a supervisor to show up. There are ways to deal with this ICly, if it is not gonna be addressed ICly and these arent breaching the server rules, no changes will happen because no issues will be visible.

I think this is a big point that some people dont take into account - who you know and who knows you. You dont have to join a gang or a gov job, but you can try to join any of the legal jobs, meet some people in a more closed environment. Through these jobs you will meet people who are in gang, who are in gov jobs and with that you are less likely to be targeted than if you are completely alone.

Unless PD gets military grade vehicles and weapons to escort a gun shipment, -1.

+1 im always up for more things for criminals to do.
-
Just to clarify this point, you are wrong. I dont know about developers, but what would be considered as high ranking members of staff: 3 Head admins - 1 is a gov commissioner, 2 are in LSPD 4 Senior admins - 2 are in LSPD, 1 is head of DCC, dont know what Bakmeel does in his free time. Point is the people who are mainly in charge of the server are in fact in legal positions (i believe at least on their main characters), so no, most of the server higher ups are not criminals.

Most of the time its around 2h. Yes people sometimes get longer sentences, but that is usually met with a ton of actions that the person took himself. Not arguing for the point of lets put criminals away for a long time, just hate that this false narrative of too many hours is being spread. This is still a game, so we do not punish people for past crimes or base it off of past crimes.

-1 I think some medics dislike the constant "painkillers" RP, so do you really want someone to come and replenish their BLS kit after every use? (because i would not wait until im out to go for a refill)
-
This does sound like the no1 tip. Rob them before they rob you.
-
I do agree that robberies are too common and i hate that new players get constantly robbed as they lack the knowledge of how things work. The 5k xp barrier is no much of a prevention. Maybe up the new player tag time to give people more time to adapt? Personally, i have never been a criminal (apart from some car thefts) but i have been on the receiving end while working in a legal faction and i have witnessed the effect this has on regular people from a PD standpoint. The issue is that if you want to do anything, you risk getting robbed, as all it takes is for a guy to roll up "hanz hanz" and thats it. Refueling? Gonna get robbed and your car stolen. Clothes shopping? you are idle in a single spot with a poor UI for clothes picking - Robbed. Even leaving your house or entering it can be a hard time if you live in a bad neighborhood can open you up to just getting robbed and house raided. I had to adapt to these things, meaning i dont take anything with me when clothes shopping. I leave my house with a weapon drawn, because there is no way to know if someone is on the other side, so i have to have a gun, just to ruleplay around getting robbed (thats a big issue). Buying at a general store i tend to do on duty as even low xp criminals wont try to rob cops. But thats the point, you have to adapt to the server and its not always the best thing. I think in regards to rules, would make sense to not have robberies out in the open. From an RP standpoint, doing daylight robberies is NRP. Doubt you are starving or in such a need for money that you will die, that you would risk going to prison to lose 10x what you would have gotten from the stolen items. Have it so that during the Day you cant rob people in the middle of the street or in shops, as RP wise, these areas would be busy. then at night, have all this be OK (could base it off of bank times).
