  1. +1 if more of these were to be added, city bee should also be openly available to VIP's as a perk. Currently they're a rare sight and a lot of the time taxi's don't even bother to respond.
  2. +1 This really needs added, the number of times I've seen a laptop smashed over a miss click is crazy. There doesn't even need to be a destroy button for laptops imo but if it was to exists, it should mimic smashing a radio.

    Los Santos Triads

Bruce’s phone began ringing, looking down at the phone it showed a number unfamiliar to him. Answering the call it turned out to be an old contact of Bruce’s who he had known from his earlier years. Shi Tien was an old import connect that helped Bruce out multiple times throughout his early criminal years. The two got to talking about their lives and catching up after all these years. After talking and catching up for some length up time Bruce slipped up what his current lifestyle brings to him. Shi Tien caught onto this and began asking questions about life. Unfortunately this is something Bruce wasn’t willing to talk over the phone about. He decided it was time to meet, Bruce reached out to his contact who owned a chartered flight business, the Draco's. Arranging for a next day flight over to Liberty City. As Bruce landed, he was welcomed by Shi Tien and some of his favorite whiskey. As they drove off towards their old hangout spot, they spoke about their lives, their time spent after they parted ways came to topic. They reached their destination and Shi Tien looked Bruce deep in his eyes. Shi said, “I want back in, for real this time. None of that long distance work either.” Bruce looked at him and nodded firmly. In the back of his mind he somewhat knew this was the reason Shi called him. He got out of the car, took a big swig of whiskey, and lit a RedWood Cigarette. Bruce was pensive. He wasn’t sure if now was the time for Shi to rejoin and get back into this lifestyle. The epiphany hit Bruce like a truck. Now was the perfect time. They were prosperous, and making leeway in LS. They had the numbers, the capital, the influence. If Shi joined now, he’d be sure to make things as good as the old days. He told Shi Tien about the endless gangs and conflicts that arose while he was away. In hopes to catch a specific reaction from him. Bruce was testing him, seeing if he truly missed what he left behind those years ago. Tien’s eyes were beaming with anticipation, it gave Bruce chills seeing how determined he was. After the two had caught up they went out for some celebrations and Bruce made Shi an offer. He was asked if he wanted to return to the life and assist Bruce by becoming another core member to the organisation. The next morning the two headed toward the airport, where the flight was waiting to take Bruce and Shi Tien back to Los Santos. Now that the two had landed in the city, it was time to take Tien around and show him the ropes.
  4. Sorry but I may be interpreting this incorrectly, Are you saying criminals barely manage in comparison to legal factions? If so try experiencing being a higherup of a criminal faction and experience the level of work we commit to running a fully player based faction. We unfortunately don't have the script support that legal factions do for management along with the fact that criminals are not allowed to make use of any content out with what they have in game, whereas legal factions have discords, forums etc all to assist IC management. On an OOC pov for management I feel that faction management could comment on the effort most criminal factions put in when running their gang. There is nothing lacking about the management and we should be allowed to expand over 60 members should the gang adequately perform at greater numbers. Talking for Triads, we've always intentionally limited our numbers to around 40 members, as that is what we see as a good fit for us. I can still understand why others want to expand beyond 60.
  5. Sorry but what exactly do you mean by gangs don't recruit? Talking for myself we have an entire team dedicated to recruitment, and have a long refined process - probably even further refined than that of the legal faction recruitment. Approach people IC and pass their tests IC if you fit. At the end of the day criminal factions are player founded and not script based so they require a more personal touch and aspects when it comes to recruiting people for them. I personally would never recruit someone who I wouldn't get along with. This whole all gangs are allied mentality needs to stop. Only Triads & Zetas are allied out of the larger gangs and we actually helped organise criminal activity and put some form of an end to the mindless fighting. There are systems in place that you would only discover being apart of a criminal faction who interacts with us which actually provide rp and reason to force gangs to cook in labs etc. Why shouldn't two big gangs work together when they formed their relationship over a year of working with each other? Criminal life is how it is, if you don't represent the correct team you will likely run into issues. Again only talking for my group alone, we. Rarely go out robbing solo runners etc unless you have provoked a reaction from us. There is no IC issue for no criminal roleplay, other than the 140~ law enforcement members who are crazily active. In fact there's plenty of internal roleplay within and between gangs but beyond that it feels like we have to force out roleplay in some areas. It's a script issue that we're lacking support in comparison to other sections, and the solution is in the works to this.
  6. +1 really clean suggestion, Majority of fines are already valued against the person who receives its income irl, would be a good change for overall realness if anything. Not like this personally effects me, but still should exist.
  7. +1 This would allow for recovery of weapons taken from people along with law enforcement potentially being able to store/catalogue the confiscated weapons if they chose to do so. Literally zero downside to this and it makes no rp sense that the items vanish into thin air.
  8. Occurs with a large number of cars that have the option to remove their roof on GTAO. Contender is another really common one.
  9. +1 to this specifically, not much reason to exclude seconds as its still a relevant measure of standard time.
  10. Glad to see your constructive input on such a prominent topic.
  11. You couldn't have explained it better in my opinion. It would a really good change to see labs only go down if there is evidence of them being used upon arrival of law enforcement. Again talking from experience the process used to be: Drug lab gets called in > 75% of units respond code 3 > flood the lab and conveniently run to the shelves location > call in "active drug lab disregard shots" > blast the lab down even when it's empty. As I mentioned in my reply to this response there are multiple changes that could be made both IC and OOC to put a bandaid over the wound, such as restricting drug lab calls to IB only so investigation can occur. Only destroying labs when there is evidence of them being actively used and add an OOC evidence + RP reasoning rule to call in / disable labs.
  12. +1 they really should fade out on a semi-local distance. /me is personal actions and should have a lower distance than any /do due to the nature of each command. Along with /me and /do the range on /ame should also be adjusted, meaning if you can see it, it is not metagaming. Along with this the greyed chat for out of distance chat shouldn't exist either. Final note - text chat range and voice range levels should be synced up to the same distance when a player is whispering, talking or shouting.
  13. This is one of the largest issues tied in with current criminal RP. Due to the labs being static this makes them an easy target for everyone to focus on and essentially ruin for at time between 4-8 irl hours. As a potential IC fix for the labs being phoned in, personally I feel that it should only be IB divisions etc who can respond to these calls where further investigation is forced to be carried out prior to the decommissioning of the lab. As currently the moment, you can drive a cruiser you can respond to these calls and destroy the lab solo of it calls for it. When it comes to known criminals reporting drug labs I would class this as NRP, along with many other criminals who agree and the rules could be potentially adjusted to require proper RP reasoning & recorded evidence for phoning in these labs as when 3/5 are down for 5+ hours each day it kills off one of the remaining factors of criminal roleplay. Another common issue of the labs is the fact that law enforcement have "no IC knowledge of them" but you consistently find cruisers parked near or even at entrances to the labs attempting to bait chases inside of these utilising their OOC knowledge of the lab to get it shut down. Tldr: to fully fix this, the already in works dynamic drug lab update needs related. Along with potentially adding some form of OOC rule that require RP reasoning & evidence, under the NRP rule. Criminal roleplay is in a very poor state no matter what side says, and there should not be ways to further diminish it at the will of any player for little to no reason.

    Nightclub NCZ's

Yeah let's just fuck up a year of back story and progress that lead to us working together. As a reminder to all Triads & Zetas we're at war to start, moved to neutrality and then alliance after months of relationship building. Stop crying about stupid shit and taking it out on scapegoats, it's pathetic and passively tarnishes factions who have earned their name, let alone overall criminal rp or at least what's left of it.

    Nightclub NCZ's

Imma hit this with a -1 We need less scripted methods of managing and limiting crim levels in the city, perhaps utilise the 150~ law enforcement members to man these clubs at peak and opening times? Just to add to the record I can't remember any time where The Tavern was properly raider, shot up etc, as of which operated successfully for months with criminals, civs and Leo's attending the event. This is due to successful management and not something a script should be utilised as life support for poor management and insufficient planning. A casino is far from a different standard to a nightclub. Irl nightclubs etc are far from the state that a NCZ operates at, you consistently have illegal drugs, weapons and other business going on in them. This seems like a post which is unfortunately fueled as OOC retaliation to recent IC events.
  16. If you want to implement an import system for "legal attachments" it should be done along with adding a full legal import system, this why both legal and illegal factions have to pay for their weapons. As currently they appear from thin air using /pw. This has been suggested before and would add further rp depth and realism to both sides not just one. Attachments is one of the unique benefits criminals get on their weapons, let's not flood out yet another market area. Give criminals the same 5% chance to have a leak on PD shipments as well if this were the case.
  17. +1 overall, The above section would solve the common powergaming issue that exists with moving bodies. If they are dead/injured it is highly unlikely they are in a state to resist, essentially making the "/do success?" useless. This is perfect.

    Redrum Mafia

Thanks for wearing the clown mask, will help us find you in city. Be original please and don't disrespect the name of one of the only gangs to depart with a successful name behind them.
  19. This process already exists where they attempt to get detectives into gangs and has been done successfully in the past. In my opinion criminals are already the largest target group on the server at the moment - we do not need further areas to drastically reduce our "play time" as the current state of prison is not optimal at best. If you are caught carrying out gang operations at any level, not just leaders etc you can be charged with Racketeering, another blanket charge for the sole purpose of increasing the time that criminals are made to essentially AFK. If we want to further increase prison time, a further rework is needed. Props to DOC who are trying their hardest to make this change themselves and their are some genuine guards that further RP, however the environment & script support in prison is not adequate to put someone away for 4+ hours which consistently happens over a "felony evasion" due to charge stacking with spite, on no other basis that you are a criminal. Again not all officers are like this but a large portion of these die hard anti-criminals exist and passively deter players from the limited criminal RP that already exists.

    Court System

+1 overall, this would really assist flush out the current arrest system for criminals, pd and doc adding much more depth. I'd like to see some points added on how each side of the coins has direct interactions and the pros/cons for both, as this should not be a one sided system. Really impressive post.
  21. +1 so long as this is implemented with the factor of the eating animation being functional whilst "sitting" Currently there is an issue with any interactions from passengers in cars that utilise animations other than pointing that causes the car to hop up in place.

    Ramming cars list

-1 rules should not have to strictly define specific aspects, this would also have the opposite effect in turn. Accidental ramming with any car not on the list would be taken straight to /b. Use your personal judgement on what can and cannot ram, if you are ever unsure /report 1 and ask staff at time in game.
  23. +1, should be simple enough to implement and no reason why a door cannot be locked from the inside.
  24. -1 We need less scripted barriers that are in place for the sake of preventing crime. PD/SD/MD having locked frequencies at least makes some form of sense as encryption would be used - however, these locks should apply to the radio and not the "player" meaning if you are in PD you can initially tune a radio to 911, but afterwards others would be able to interpret it. An OOC time for this to last could be 24 hours, meaning you would rebind your freq after a day and ones criminals acquired would be rendered useless. As mentioned prior, I don't realistically see any other "Funded" factions requiring an encrypted frequency as they would be unlikely to utilise it in real life. As for the frequency being compromised and moving an "entire companies employees to the new freq" you have additional methods to assist with this such as IC notice boards that are shared across discord. Criminals however, do not have such form and we manage to move 50+ people across multiple frequencies multiple times a week, even days on occasions. This is a regular occurrence as our frequencies are compromised by both any criminal and police officer.
