  1. +1 really heavily abused to an amount that it becomes pathetic
  2. Really liked the thread so far, I hope this does not turn into a montage thread for shootouts, Bobby pinning cars etc after recent developments. Good luck on how it plays out.

    coroner company

+1 to this, Myself and a few others used to run a funeral business that done exactly this and other services but it drowned out due to lack of support.
  4. Date and time (provide timezone): 09/02/2020 14:00 (GMT) Character name: Bruce_Wong Issue/bug you are reporting: Furniture gates can be unlocked with "Access Property" permissions but no re-locked. Expected behavior: "Access Property" would allow members to both Open and Close the gate. Evidence, notes worth mentioning, steps to replicate: have a member of the Faction who only has "Access Property" unlock the gate and then attempt to re-lock this. **- Adding the permission "Build Property" allows them to re-lock the gate.
  5. Date and time (provide timezone): 09/02/2020 01:00AM (GMT) Character name: Bruce_Wong Issue/bug you are reporting: Sync issues with furniture gates Expected behavior: Gates to be synced server side and not client side - So they are in the same status for all players. Evidence, notes worth mentioning, steps to replicate: Drive into an unlocked gate after coming in from outside it's render distance and it will be fixed in place. Get out the car, walk into it and update its status by forcing an object interaction and the gates are now usable on your client side only. **- Allow cars with players inside to force the sync update, if unwilling to sync server side. 6. If we are going to put limiters on cars as they do IRL, we should also be able to remove them as they do IRL. This could come with IC consequences such as an illegal modifications charge for cars etc. I'm all down for realistic adjustments so long as it is not bias towards one end.
  7. Literally every single car goes faster the higher your fps, some cars are just effected by it a lot more than others. This is not a 1 car issue, this is a game mechanic issue. There are much more common and still available cars for purchase that are used for this specific goal of speed, yet you fail to mention these.
  8. Don't go down the same road as gangs who rep red normally do. Best of luck.
  9. It's not a bug it's a game mechanic. What speed do you propose this cap is set to?
  10. Almost as if a big standard cop irl doesn't get involved in extremely high speed chases. Frankly I find it fairly obscene that every single unit on duty often responds to every backup call. You once has the Traffic Enforcement Division in pd and it was very successful, you can thank a few key people within PD for attempting to kill off this branch. Once again nerfing is not the answer to what is essentially an IC issue. Use your numbers, strategies and training to capture these cars in specific. Yes FPS is known to effect speed, but this is built into the GTA engine as a whole and is something the entire game was built around, there is no feasible way to change this.
  11. This is obscene, I have both caught poeple and been caught in the comet due to using tactics and good communication. Instead of focusing on nerfing a niche number of vehicles, we should be focusing in tactics to prevent them evading successfully. 90% of the time you lose cops in any fast vehicle because they rarely plan ahead and instead follow the lead units calls. I've done my fair share of both crim and pd. I have been overtook by a crown vic going 240, and the sherrif truck also traveling at the same speed. If we want nerfs to sports and super cars perhaps nerf the standard pd cruisers for an even playing field.
  12. I actually play on near to max graphics. Nothing is tuned intentionally to gain an advantage. There is only 3 active 811's on the server, and a handful of comets that is slowly decreasing in number. These two vehicles are high class vehicles, and easily perform to these speeds IRL. The issue of people owning them should not result in a direct punishment as others simply cannot afford to buy one themselves. Not everything in life is fair, and neither should it be on the server. If someone wants to pay 5+ million for a fast car, that is a personal choice.

    Import Changes

Reviving this topic as the laptop is in an even worse state now than it was a month ago. This is a critical change that would highly improve the criminal lifestyle, as currently ammo and drugs are our only viable criminal activities, which have almost diminished fully themselves.
  14. Not everything in life is fair. The gangs who have been here long, worked hard to earn their place and provided the server with rp they deemed worthy of an official faction should receive a reward over any new gangs that forms. In no world does it make sense that a new gang has access to the same level of supplies etc as a gang that has been formed for months. Everything being equal will lead to no competition, which is one of the main things people complain about already. Limiting access creates competition and is better for generating natural progression and rp. It's an economy of scale, you would never see a corner boy buying directly from a distro. Drug Runner > Drug Dealer > Drug Supplier > Drug Distributor. - Runners being smaller gangs, suppliers being the large gangs.
  15. With proper rp cause and engagement the transport vehicle can be rammed off the road, given carried out correctly. The DM rules were adjusted to allow the use intercepting vehicles so long as you have valid reason.
  16. This double standard just proves the current mindset of law enforcement. In what world is it realistic to allow criminal drops to be intercepted but not allow criminals the same goal vs legal imports, as there is a high chance a mafia/syndicate/cartel would attempt to intercept these irl. Hiding items being given to factions behind a script menu that magics the item with zero to no rp shouldn't occur on either side.

    DELETED

I have previously made a suggestion in relation to this, which received a large number of positive feedback. Feel free to take a look:
  18. This issue seems to be based on a personal poor experience and not a proper analysis of the current situation. Currently there is a large police presence throughout the main timezones, of which you may be in a lower presence timezone. Each of the officer does more than a good job in my opinion at targeting crime, sometimes even a little too much. The whole "martial law" existed under the form of "Gang Suppression Checks" which turned out to do the opposite of their goal, Instead increasing serious criminal activity such as mass shootouts. This was decided to be dropped as a resolution to this due to said actions and the impact it was having upon criminal roleplay as far as I'm aware. There are currently already task forces within the police department such as IB and its sub divisions that are specifically targeted to handling organised crime. Along with the raids and warrant hunting, which already exists, in fact their was a high profile house raid last night, followed by outstanding warrant hunting by a task force. The issue that you run into come from petty criminals who have a short life span as they are here for no rp reason other than being "jack boys". As a note the moment you rp'd being a private investigator who works against criminals, you put yourself in this line of fire. The larger and well founded gangs in the server rarely run rampant and rob civilians, talking for my faction we have rules in place to avoid impacting civilian rp such as not targeting commonly known civilian areas and civilians themselves, unless provoked of course. This issue comes down to no specific side of roleplay being at the issue, but instead is an overall issue that is formed by many areas of concern, as of which are already in development to resolve.
  19. +1 all Factions should be required to manage and import their weapons and other "consumable" items rather than having it spawned in. The only issue I have is the following; There is currently a "5%" chance of an import being alerted to PD&SD. If Law Enforcement were to arrange similar import systems, criminals should also receive said chance to find out about one to intercept it. Giving each side an "even" chance at locating and intercepting drops. This would bring a form of RP that the server currently does. It have, as unfortunately drops have turned into solo collections to be ambushed out of bushes due to a script notification. Overall I am against the notification and would like to see it not exist on either end as it removes RP. However, the paying field should be even.
  20. Currently it is RPly allowed that people can place crates inside car interiors with a simple "/me places the crate on the seat" however this means that the driver must drive with the crate in hand. Which ends up looking like the image below: Proposition: I believe it would look more immersive and natural if there was script support of storing crates and other carryable items on the seats of cars, such as bags, briefcases etc. This could be done by the following: /storeseat 1 - placing it on the passenger seat if not occupied by a person. This would be /storeseat 1/2/3/4 depending on the cars seats available of course. The following AME's would occur when doing so - "$name places the $item onto the seat" & "$name removes the $item from the seat" Example of what storage may look like - cleaner placement needed of course. Another useful implementation would be the trunk storage - Currently cars have trunk size scaled on their vehicle class, decreasing the inventory available. It would be nice to see something along the lines of /storetrunk that can be used with cars of a smaller external inventory but a large phyical trunk - the Schafter V12 for example. This would also allow more immersive storage bags, crates, briefcases etc in vehicles.
  21. +1to this from a first read through, Only area I disagree with is the static supply point, this should be dynamic and say ordered from a laptop or other means etc. If it were static it would be targeted. If it was to be ordered via the laptop, this passively increases the roleplay and relations between smaller and bigger gangs. As other gangs who do not have access to said supply fund would have to make a contact through roleplay instead of a script vendor. The whole drug lab system needs more player to player interaction if we aim to further progress criminal rp.
  22. Simple suggestion for this. Currently the illegal imports laptop for official criminal factions utilises a discount formula, where the more items ordered the larger the discount - going up to 25% The weapons imports also directly utilises this formula, meaning it severely suffers from the discount calculation. As the max number of heavy weapons you can order is capped at a reasonably low number, the highest discount you can get for ordering these is 1%. Recommended change: Calculate the discount of items from the total value of the order and not the quantity of items and separate Guns and Ammo into their own discount formula as Ammo is ordered at extremely lower values than guns.
  23. That is the direct opposite of what criminal roleplay currently needs, until recently most of these gangs you had mention brought nothing to the table other than mindless shooting, which is something criminal RP as attempted to move away from for months. Imagine stating you "need less of Zetas and Triads" when we were two of the gangs who assisted in moving the server away from a daily war zone to further detailed criminal rp. We don't "face competition" because how we order things ICly, there have been multiple times where gangs attempted to go against up. It just happens to be that every time they have lost. The "neutral third party" is abolished by a number of officers. Again this is not aimed towards the entirety of PD but the officers in specific that actively go out of their way to unrealistically target gangs and not even perform any investigation. Last time I checked organising crime was not a bad thing? when there's war people complain, when there's not war people complain, we can't win. Gangs are free to go against the IC systems that were put in place, they know what the result of that is. The alliance that was formed between Zetas and Triads was created over a literal year of RP. There was once a time when we were both actively at war with each other, people seems to forget this. Gangs in real life are also allied, this is not an unrealistic position to be in. I have suggested this in the faction leaders chat months ago, no response was ever formed. However, I do believe moving forward this is required to assist in the smooth operation between all factions, legal or not. It is not just "Zetas and Triads" who face the issue of too many cops, it is all criminals. It's at the point where you cannot even drive down a street before a regular cruiser follows you due to a colour. Never mind the constant hounding we receive around the general area of our HQ's.
  24. Play it by timezon or not, there are far too many PD online during peak server time. Last Sunday there was 48 PD online alone, not including SD. Criminals face a recruitment cap on their gangs of 60 members, there should be a set limit for all Factions not only criminals. It creates another unrequired cap and bias against criminals on the server.
  25. +1 really flushed out suggestion, few things to add. Yes Tecs etc can be acquired from special imports but there shouldn't be a requirement of these being spawned in on a very rare occasion to acquire the weapons, crafting these would give an extra goal for official factions who would be the ones to receive the special import anyway. As for importing special one use until destroyed vehicles, this is also a really good idea. To assist this there should be day 4/5 parking slots added to the warehouse that can store these vehicles along with regular cars. There is a very finite number of warehouses and they already sell for millions, you should be able to park a vehicles in them as if it was to be rply drive inside.
