    Los Santos Triads

Unfortunately recent event with a certain member of the Triads did not go down so well. The man in question dishonored himself towards the organisation by making moves on his brothers. It was time to deal with him for good. Bruce drafted up a termination contract for the man, A process that occurs when members truly disgust the entirety of the organisation. After sharing out the contract to the other High Command, they all signed off on it. The operation was now in full effect and the dishonorable member will no longer be welcome within the city. Unfortunately for the ex-member all of his houses were common knowledge to the organisation. The group positioned up and the first house, holding down the area in case he appeared. After staking out at the first house, the group moved onto the next target. The members set up around the perimeter again and left something for the man to know that he was being watched. Continuing on with their hunt, the organisation moved through each of the remaining houses, Leaving their mark as they moved along. After being with the organisation for almost 3 years the man still went ahead with the shameful act. Soon enough he will learn from his mistakes, as the whole city is about to turn against him. 他会学习
  2. Why on earth would we merge our factions, do you have any concept of how business mergers. Work irl? - they're 90% terrible. Both factions have unique aspects to them that keeps them from being one entity. People aren't forced to join us and stay, they chose the one that suits them best and still interact happily with the other. Sister gangs exist irl - I don't see the issue with this being the case here. Once there was 5 official illegal factions only 3 got along. Now there's 2 remaining and they are 2/3 that got along.
  3. If people want official status, then they should put in the grind like we did and follow the procedure. Gangs arent gonna get official if they run around chain robbing all day putting in little to no OOC effort. People make it out like official should be easy to get but the system is in place to reward those that make the effort and survive the short life cycle of most gangs. Triads started out the same as everyone else, at one point we warred with zetas, time moved on and our rp/overall gang progressed leading to better things. Instead of complaining on the forums about "only two gangs have official" perhaps that energy could be better spent posting content on your faction forum etc and contribute positively to the community.
  4. Why fight for the top when you can both sit there comfortably as a team. People moan about gang wars happening as is, can you imagine if the two largest factions were to be clashing heads 24/7. I'd also like to make it clear, both Triads and Zetas don't rob smaller groups, we have other ways of managing them. It's not like our two factions just were given their members and awarded their place, we all worked hard for it and have earned mutual respect for each other.

    Los Santos Triads

There was news of war breaking out in the city, Everyone was tense and preparations begun. The Triads decided it was time to reward their members before they risk their lives for the cause. After the first meeting the group gathered up on their bikes and headed to their gas station of choice. It was time for a long drive, after fueling up the ride down to the meeting location began. Both the Triads and the Zetas met up at the location, then the initial discussions began. The groups each laid out their key areas they plan to mention for the upcoming meeting. Now that the groups were ready to go they reached out to the external party "SeaWeed" to begin. After a little bit of waiting members from SeaWeed arrived to the meeting location. It was now time to get to discussions. Both the Zetas and Triads raised their personal issues towards the group in hopes for resolutions. Afterwards the imposing question was asked "Will you pay the Council?" Seaweed took some time to step back and talk on this matter as they knew what it would result in. After a long discussion the group returned with an answer. Only one man was willing to pay, the rest refused the offer. This landed the group in an unfortunate situation of events, they were all told to drop to their knees. Knowing this was coming SeaWeed had stashed away all of their possessions before arriving at the meet. Whilst the other SeaWeed members were being taken care of, the Triads pulled one man to the side. This man had been an annoyance to the Triads for months and it was time he got what he deserved. Bruce took the man up against the container, proceeding to smash his face into it repeatedly, Afterwards Bruce left him messed up on the ground the others went along to take their turn on the man. The city was now at war and it was time to get the old uniforms back out. 三合会代表
  6. +1 To this. I rarely end up going to prison, I've done 2 sentences in my 8 months on the server as a criminal but I still feel that there should be a limit to the amount of time you can spend in prison. Before the whole charge reset I was looking at serving around 50 hours in prison since the new update was introduced. Yes, this was months of charges but lets take this as an example. 1. I'll get caught eventually and have to spend 10+ hours minimum in one sitting with 0 AFK. - This is a terrible experience considering the attitude of prison guards (end up in lockdown 50% of the time with 0 explanation) and refusing to engage in RP, instead of salary farming looking down on you from the bridge. - Perhaps re-allow people to AFK their sentence or even introduce it so the sentence goes down when offline on that character at 0.25x speed. It could also be introduced that if they want to AFK they must sit inside a cell to do so, this will disrupt others RP even less. 2. Prison Stamps - These need a full rework as much of a shame as is this is, the system is good in theory but the time stamps reduce your time per amount spent in unbalanced, never mind the 1.5k buy-in for poker. - Increase the value of stamps by lowering the costs of items/lowering prison poker costs and convert the stamps to a real currency so they're not lost on death in the prison (90% falling through the floor) As for the people claiming "Oh I've hit my jtime cap time to go crazy with crime" this is not the case for any criminal - with the introduction of debt the fines are a large factor and help prevent criminals from going wild. At the end of the day, criminals are still going to commit crime even if they have/haven't reached their jail time cap. Overall I believe that there should be a cap somewhere in the range of 4-6 hours which is still a lot of time to be punished. I work 40 hours a week, coming home after work to the thought of spending 3/5 weeknights sitting basically AFK is not a good way to be punished as it feels like more of an OOC punishment rather than IC.
  7. Date and time (provide timezone): 20/07/2019 11pm GMT+1 Character name: Bruce_Wong Issue/bug you are reporting: Falling through prison cell floor Expected behavior: Floor would be a solid object Evidence, notes worth mentioning, steps to replicate: Step onto the prison bed, log out and back in then you fall through the floor.
  8. +1 Really well planned out suggestion, don't see any downsides to this being added.

    Los Santos Triads

The Triads had recently acquired a new business, Finally achieving one of their main goals. After a lot of hard work and with the interior design skills of Zach Wong they made a masterpiece. The business will stay private and will be limited access, only open to close friends of the organisation. The Triads are planning to use it as a cover up for their illegal operations. It was time to train some of the members in the way of cooking noodles, a tradition within the Triads. One man didn't understand the recipe and resorted to prepackaged noodles instead. The food was now ready and was delivered over to the members at the table, it was time to fill up before moving onto business. Some of the members conversed in the back awaiting the meeting, whilst the other were eating. Now that Bruce had finished the food, he returned the plate and gathered everyone up. Instead of using the usual boardroom for meetings, they decided to have a more informal gathering. Now that all available members had gathered it was time to head on with the meeting. To start off the members were asked to provide any updates, ideas and opinions relevant to the organisation. Now that the first stage of the meeting was complete, the higherups headed upstairs to discuss things in private. Future plans for the Triads were discussed, alongside the current members and how they had been performing. Now that the meeting had been concluded and all the members updated on their status it was time to head out. The group moved down to their regular clothing store and made plenty of purchases for some new jackets and masks. 三合会
  10. Love how your using a static screenshot to judge a timescale, he wasn't responding to the rp so he went ahead. The script allows for searching of bodies without /me when downed as it performs an ame
  11. +1 to this If this were introduced, I believe that the name change to clear records/debt should be fully disabled as well as this is currently being heavily abused. I'm all for name changing for rp reasons such as joining a new family e.g. Wong to Chang but this should not clear records etc. Changing for reasons outwith rp such as clearing your criminal record to get a legal job on a crim is poor rp and essentially ooc abuse of a system. End of all /CK could perhaps not lock the character but have it remove all stored aliases for the character and others, then clear the record and provide a name change.
  12. I was hiding from replying, I just didn't feel your point justified a reply but here we go. Next time we do a prison break in our gang colours and cars alongside other gangs your saying this would be non rp? No it would not. We had 10+ men chasing you which would be plenty force to breach that lobby alone, never mind unguarded. As for the video, I edited it to showcase your nrp stunt jumps, yes you can pull these off IRL, but the server has a specific rule against doing so. Personally I don't see how you're annoyed over all this, we pulled up to a drug lab. held you up, you then broke frp therefor resulting in this chase and your death not long after. Have a good day mate.
  13. We're Chinese mate don't be wacist.
  14. Back again with another Criminal suggestion, I'd appreciate if we looked at this from a neutral POV instead of having cops vs criminals arguing. As everyone knows recently the max prison sentence length had been removed. Personally I don't mind the issue of this so long as charges etc are not places at random. The last week criminals have basically felt like we cannot RP due to the current attitudes of PD and others towards ANY criminals. Here are the points I'd like to raise: 1. The reason this whole anti-criminal move was brought around is to deter the "Hands up" mentality, which I agree could be changed but this is not the way to go about it. Recently PD have been enforcing "Gang Suppression" searches and task forces. These basically include detectives/SWAT driving around the city, pulling over ANY suspected criminal and searching them on the basis that they look like they're from a gang. This is basically PD's version of "Hands up this is rob" - "Hands up, you're being searched as you look like a criminal" I ran into an occurrence. Yesterday alone PD searched 8 of my members without any probably cause, sending 6 to prison for long sentences. One of these was me but when they went to search me I asked to be checked on the MDC "No we don't need to check" - I was innocent with 0 charges, essentially a civilian as I wasn't committing any crime. The issue with this: In my honest opinion, I see this as very poor RP. There's doing your job and then there's unrealistically targeting gangs. Detectives and SWAT would not roll around a city doing spot checks on everyone in a certain colour/clothes without identifying them. This ends up pushing criminals away from doing any RP knowing we will be searched at any random point and sent to prison for 4+ hours. Solution: Realistic restriction should be placed on PD, currently they're running wild as nothing defines how they act (Gov Commissioners are rarely there to make inputs). Adding this would help control the wild targeting that is currently on going. 2. The risk for reward with criminal RP is highly out balanced. Currently criminals are very limited to the "Scripted" ways that they can make money/carry out illegal actions. 5 Drug Labs, 1 Chopshop are the only current "Script" options for criminal RP. As of recent PD have also been hitting 90% of the labs causing them to be down for 4+ hours each time, reducing the availability to often around 2 labs and 1 chopshop. This raises the issue of gangs struggling even more as chances are the 3 largest gangs in the city will take control of these, reducing it to 0 "Scripted" interactions for criminals. The recent few updates have unfortunately introduced nothing that improves criminal RP or quality of life and only things that hinder them. I understand that a lot of people don't like the current state of criminal RP but that doesn't mean that it should be ignored/punished in development. Perhaps it's time to stop focusing on one area of RP and improve all areas. I feel like these key areas needed to be addressed. This is still a game at the end of the day and each end of RP shouldn't be targeted due to their preferences, resulting in ruining the enjoyment. Here are a few posts in relation to this that provide other improvements and includes suggestions, thought it would be best to compile these. (These are only for further referencing, I don't agree with every point made.) Again, lets keep this as a suggestion/discussion page. I am tired of seeing suggestion forums turn into PDvsCrim arguments, learn to be unbiased and provide a constructive input.
  15. Good RP skills, lets forget the 10x stunt jumps and NRP driving you done whilst fleeing and then running inside DOC
  16. +1 to this in some aspects, You've based this on kidnapping cops only, it would be good to allow any form of kidnapping within reason of course. I agree that as of recent cops are becoming too protected on the server, they should expect even consequences for targeting criminals instead of passing it off as "Doing their job." Technically criminals who aren't rogue and operate under a faction "Work for an organisation." Perhaps allow kidnapping but have a limit that can be carried out: e.g. if you and a group of players kidnaps someone then the people directly involved cannot do it for X Number of days?
  17. How about we use me as an example, you know my current charge list better than most and I get away 99% of the time leading to more charges. It took me 6 months to get caught last time, you're saying next time I'm caught I'm expected to serve a minimum of 50+ hours in prison not AFK as my current charges stand? I'm all for extending the prison time to say 4-6 hours max (3x old sentences is reasonable) and keeping the current debt systems, this negates the "reach time limit = 0 consequences" attitude. You come from a criminal background yet you portray yourself as the most "anti-criminal" players on the server. Take a step back from the PD RP and think about the impact this will have in the long term. But at the end of the day, this is a game and people shouldn't have to spend hundreds of hours idle due to their RP preference.
  18. Thank you for the positive input to this discussion
  19. I'm prepared to be shot down by every Civ/PD in the city for this post but here it goes. This update has been passively targeted at "improving civilian RP" by literally handicapping criminal RP. There are some great features in this update that improved realism, such as adding Debt, Wire Transfer, GPS, getting out to access trunks, and reweighing weapons and adding recoil. However as always some stuff needs some fine tuning. I'm going to address the elephant in the room first: 1. Prison Time limit removed - This is a good practice in theory but when put into action provides terrible results. From my perspective I rarely get arrested by PD but rack up hundreds of charges over the months (Fairly reasonable). By the time I next go to prison my sentence is going to be 50+ hours on top of 80k+ in fines. Now here comes the white knights "you do the crime, you do the time" - I have 10 days played of PD RP and around 35 of Criminal, there is a reason for this and that is personal preference. At the end of the day this turns into being punished for my preference of RP. I don't feel that it is a good RP experience in the slightest having to spend 2 full days IRL in prison as the AFK timer was removed. Potential Solution - Add a cap back onto the time and perhaps make it 8 hours tops. Whilst doing so I believe prison sentences should tick down whilst OFFLINE due to the obscene time you're expected to serve and allow AFK in prison. This essentially still removes that criminal from the city for the same amount of time but provides at more satisfy OOC experience. Reasoning - I work a 40 hour week and still manage to dedicate plenty of time to ECRP, say I get arrested on a sunday night, I would have to spend 5 hours after work every night standing in the prison to be released in time for the weekend. Yes this is a RP server and realism should be added, but not to the severity that it puts "criminals" out the city for a whole IRL week. 2. Weapon Weights - This was a good improvement in my opinion, however some of the weights need to be adjusted to be a little more realistic. Solution - Reduce "Heavy" weapon weights from 20 to 10 (still 10x increase of their old weight) and reduce pistol weights to 5 (Still 5x their original weight). Reasoning - Due to the inventory split in the new update (glovebox and boot) you can no longer even fit a pistol in the glove compartment of all cars, this makes 0 realistic sense. On top of this with the split inventory of many vehicles you can no longer fit a heavy or a pistol in the trunk, adjusting the weights would allow for an easy solution instead of a whole storage overhaul. 3. Increase Stash Size - So prior to the update my stash was at around 300/500, a fairly reasonable about for what was stored, Now that the weights have been massively increased (200% per weapon) my stash now sits at 1100/500. I understand having a stash limit is needed but this seems too small and should scale with the "float of weapon weights" Solution - Perhaps increase default stash to 750~1000 and allow for "Stash expansions" to either be bought via the furniture/credit store. Reasoning - As the stash is currently the only secure way to store items anywhere in a house it contains a very limited space for doing so. IRL you could have anything stashed away in locked drawers, cupboards, safes in walls etc. If we're pushing for realism I feel that house storage should be realistically expanded. 4. Fine Tuning - Here I'll just add a few things that I and some others feel need some fine tuning to provide a better experience. GPS, this is a great addition in my opinion but it would be nice to fit it directly to cars with a "use" function instead of leaving in the inventory (created more reason to rob etc) similar to how chargers function. Action Bar, I like the implementation of this in practice, perhaps have the position changed to the bottom of the screen and reduce the UI scale for it. Unlocking Cars - I'm all for there being a delay on opening cars, currently delay feels far too long and unrealistic, takes one click of a key to open any modern car. Would be nice to see this reduced at least a little. Recoil - This is also a really good addition but I feel the current recoil is pretty insane, even with a grip attached after 5 shots you're shooting into the sky. Perhaps reduce the scale of recoil by 50% or so. I Hope this is useful and provides some decent detail, I'd hope to see some aspects improve from what they currently are. Please keep this as a suggestions thread and avoid any arguments.

    8 gangs!

I understand that it can be frustrating, but there was a time irl of you wore the wrong colour as a pedestrian you risked getting shot. Welcome to a life that involves gang culture, as a group we advise people who aren't in the gang to change colour for the following reasons: 1. Misrepresentation of the Gang (main issue) 2. Avoid harassment from other gangs/pd (my group in particular is hunted daily by detectives) 3. Its our colour, we have earned it (you can expect a criminal organisation to be friendly when you go around misrepresenting them) Overall I feel this is yet another post targeted at Zetas, in my opinion if a cartel of their size wants to enforce colour restrictions they can easily go ahead

+1 to this in some aspects. Don't agree with KoS, never have. But if you're being "detained" it should allow your allies to engage in rp and potentially open fire on the cops. As of current you have to be "under arrest" Even though 90% of the time detained leads to arrested. Let's put this into a real life scenario: A cartel boss is being chased by cops, the cops then surround him at gun point. Irl the cartels men would kill these cops without hesitation. On the server pd are protected by the rule "law enforcement aiming guns doesnt grant threat to life" if you ask me serving a "life sentence" is pretty life threatening. There have been a lot of anti-criminal rp moves recently, it would be nice to see a little bit of balance brought back in.

    8 gangs!

In my opinion I don't see and issue with gangs restricting colours. When we started the Triads we were a lot smaller and chose our current colour, however at one point a larger gang took the colour and we swapped to a bright red due to conflict of interest. With growth of the gang we had the influence to dictate which colour was ours, going back to the OG red. TLDR: Most gangs have earned these colours and they represent the gang as a whole, e.g. zetas blue. If you have a problem with forcing other gangs out of colours perhaps take it up IC instead of implying that OOC restrictions should be added to a colour.

    Los Santos Triads

For a long time the Triads had closed the doors to their operations, not allowing any new faces. A meeting was called to discuss the future, things were about to change. Once the members had gathered at one of their clubs, a meeting was held in the boardroom. Now that all key points had been discussed, the members were asked to present any future business plans and opportunities. Once these matters were covered they moved on to the important stage. Promotions. Along with allowing new faces into the organisation the old faces are rewarded. This allows for spaces to be filled and members to progress. Kai Fang had been working for the Triads for longer than most, it was time to reward him with the respect he deserves. The Incense Master began the ceremony and Kai Fang moved onto the new rank of Red Pole. Now that the promotions were covered it was time to get to some internal business. The group headed down to another property where they handled some gun orders for their members and recruits. The men took their guns from the trunk of Bruce's car and loaded them up. Now that the guns had been handed out, Zach returned something that was very precious to Bruce. It wouldn't be true Triad business if they didn't offer portions of their famous noodles to all the men. Now that everyone was stocked up and had enjoyed some food, it was time to put the guns to work. 三合会
  24. I'm neutral with this. In my opinion this will only be used to apply charges to people who were killed during shootouts (Even though they are essentially dead). I like this idea of being able to remove someones ID from them though, this will help prevent any misuse of gaining the ID of the player. If this was to be added all players should be personally allowed to remove their ID. As for making use of PM's to continue RP I'm 100% against this. If you want to RP with someone maybe not shoot them dead on the spot. PD, MD and some civilians have the capability to use CPR. This could be used to extend the RP, after attempted treatment of course. DeathRP is a reward and not a requirement, incentives to push for more DeathRP shouldn't be added in my opinion.
