  1. +1, it would be nice to have civilian input into government functions. Right now at least in terms of LSPD, the final boss in the chain of command is the Commissioner's office, when in reality it would be some form of elected official like a mayor or governor. Having said that, there should be some form of ooc corruption rule similar to PD and SD to prevent abuse.
  2. Notes: You begin pulling money out after typing /grabcash and it gives you the packages of cash, however the alarm is tripped immediately. Pointing a gun prevents the alarm like normal.

I really, really hate this trend. I've started saying "What does that even mean? You sound insane," in response.
  4. +1 if it does an automatic /ame for the item you take out.
  5. Thanks for showing me this.
  6. If you see an officer just driving around with one or using it at close range, they are already violating the restrictions put in place for it. Submit an IA report so it can be dealt with. 7 people in the entire department are certified to use it. Tell me which one it was and your problem will be solved.
  7. Confirmed. Had people escape prison due to this bug.
  8. -1. The weapon should have drawbacks when used, given it's the most powerful handgun. If it was perfectly concealed when you used it, there would be no reason to use other guns. By keeping it visible, it makes other guns actually have a purpose in that while less powerful they are invisible. Nobody would even consider using other options if the .50 does everything.
  9. It was removed from PD because it's a 1-shot kill.
  10. The new theme on the government forums is bright white, which creates serious eyestrain and is overall very unpleasant to squint at because it's so bright.
  11. There are multiple guns that don't appear on your character, and you can use existing inventory mechanics like bags or briefcases to hide other weapons. It makes no sense to clearly see a gun on someone and pretend it isn't there, so we should stick to "what you see is what you get."
  12. Scrap cars. They also don't trigger speed cameras.
  13. There's already laptop orders where people can illegally import all kinds of weapons, ammunition, attachments, drug materials, etc. Granted this is only for official gang factions, but it's easy enough to develop contacts in the gang world to acquire these items rather than have it all scripted.
  14. Just want to speak to this point, I think about the RP that was done before the shooting started. If zero RP was done before shots were fired at officers, there's no reason to give you anything at all. If you shoot a cop and win, you just finish them every single time. You wouldn't RP with them, you'd just shoot them. If you don't RP before shooting, or your RP consists of "leave or die," that isn't an interesting or fun interaction. If you immediately go into OOC chat and ask for death RP and only start RPing with police when you lose, you can't expect anything.
  15. There should not be a reward for killing police officers. This creates a low key incentive to do so. There's already too much of a "kill and loot" mentality, it doesn't need to be even worse. I get that you don't like that police "lose nothing" while criminals put a lot of things on the line, but honestly that risk should be there: it cuts down on the number of shootouts because it makes people think twice. Frankly, I've had play sessions where I'm suited up in SWAT gear for 5+ hours because it's shootout after gun battle after shooting, bank robberies, and other violence. There's way too much combat already and anything that cuts down on it even a little bit is good in my opinion. There should be zero gain to be had from fighting police. I'd like to do other kinds of RP but I find myself constantly sucked into these fights, and it's getting old.
  16. With the new parole division in SD, I could see this actually being feasible as someone with charges could live in the parole system while their trial is pending.
  17. I'd rather the issue of the gear being removed on a crash be fixed, than add the ability to take SWAT gear from /pw. A vehicle is going to carry weapons, ammunition, and other tools necessary for the mission ahead, not a change of underpants.
  18. Same thing happens with SWAT in LSPD. Removing the duty armor vest in /pw menu and then typing /swat works fine and gives the bonus, however the vest is the regular model on the character and not the tactical vest that was given before the update.
  19. The 10 minute jail times were part of the speed camera update as the final boss of punishments that can be issued, to cut down on excessive speeding (going 80KM/H over the limit, or 160 KM/H now) in NCZs which caused/causes many unnecessary player injuries or death. These range from simple fines all the way up to jail time depending on how fast you're going. If you don't want 10 minutes in jail for speeding, don't speed in a NCZ.
  20. Imagine this scenario: You're a police officer and you've finally caught a player. You don't have this player's name so you start roleplaying trying to find their ID. For some reason, this player refuses to RP with you and therefore breaks the rules. You type /report 4 but no admins respond. How do you proceed when you must force the RP to move forward with server commands in this situation? /frisk does not bring up the player's name. If this feature was removed there would be zero avenue to continue IC and you're effectively held hostage by someone trying to make your life miserable OOC and you cannot proceed. Imagine this next scenario: You catch a player and that player RPs that they have tossed their ID away. To continue IC, you must go to Mission Row and check to see if they have fingerprints on file in our database. After roleplaying scanning this person's fingerprints, how do you propose searching for them in the MDC to check if a record of fingerprints exists or not? There are drawbacks to this suggestion that you aren't considering. If you feel an officer is metagaming or abusing this system, report them. Simple as that.
  21. you can exit just fine. no need to sit on that screen
  22. So you're here to insult the faction by functionally calling all of us idiots, not suggest things to improve. Thank you for your contribution.
  23. I keep telling people to send me evidence of this happening but no one ever does. Carrying multiple longarms is already against division ooc policy. If you don't pass along the information, nothing can be done to enforce it.
