  1. You're right, it isn't normal. Normal wait times were 24-72hrs before streamers started playing GTA V RP and drummed up an explosive amount of interest. I get your frustration but you need to realize the application is there to filter out people who are only here to troll or have no interest in learning about the rules. Admins and moderators can ban people for breaking the rules, but the act of breaking the rules often ruins RP scenes in the process and it's better to not have rulebreakers to begin with rather than have them ruin other people's fun and then ban them. Think of it this way. Would you rather get blasted by a cheater in some FPS all night and have your fun ruined, and then the cheater is banned the next day... or no cheater at all and not have your fun ruined that day?
  2. Taking existing weapons from people doesn't place new weapons in the world.
  3. If I had to hold on to every criminal's toys so I could give them back when he got out of the playpen, how frustrated would he be when he learned I lost the items when somebody in his own gang shot me and looted my corpse like it was Fortnite? If there was a way to organize proper storage I'd agree with this, but as it stands right now it would require a herculean effort to keep such a thing together.
  4. +1 I hate the way this command beams weapons up to the mothership. People also get confused even if you tell them in OOC chat what to do after roleplaying confiscating the weapon.
  5. If this were implemented I could see it as a way to grief shop owners you don't like. You could consistently target the same store over and over with little recourse thanks to how the robbery alarm works.
  6. If introduced alongside longer sentences that people would actually take seriously as suggested in other threads, +1. I could see DOC overseeing this sort of thing to give them other things to do, as well.
  7. If someone refuses to use the 100% guaranteed safe way, just refuse the transaction. You have to be smart with your money.
  8. People already think police are overpowered when they really aren't. Bringing in the military who would have access to even more powerful equipment would just magnify the so-called issue. Second, what would their operational goals be? Are we going to classify gangs like the Zetas as a terrorist organization and deploy the military to conduct COIN operations to destroy them until all their players quit? Because that's what a military does.
  9. If you don't want to go to jail for speeding, stop going 150 in NCZs.
  10. -1 for beaming cars up to the mothership. It's an IC issue and should be dealt with IC.
  11. If you had that many speeding tickets you probably also had a warrant for Reckless Operation of a Motor Vehicle, which is also given out by the cameras. Even if you pay the monetary fine for that charge you still have jail time.
  12. -1. You aren't issued a gun as part of your standard kit as a taxi driver or mechanic in the real world, if we're aiming for realism. I'd also argue medics carrying weapons is odd, as well. However with the current state of gangs and the level of crime I can understand why people would want a gun on their person at all times.
  13. +1 if you can invest in security systems like an alarm that can be customized to notify police and/or your phone (a criminal might want a text on the phone instead of cops showing up to his house) when the house is broken into and a safe that must be unlocked to help protect the stash
  14. I'd say there needs to be a more fleshed out set of activities inside prison to keep people occupied. I'd say increase the current max sentence by 1 hour (total 3 max) for the time being and as more things to do are added that total could go up.
  15. Firing a gun effectively takes practice and realistically a bullet doesn't always go exactly where you intend (there are hundreds of variables that can affect shot placement). Taking the aiming dot away removes the dumb spoon feeding the game gives you and forces you to develop the skill of shooting. -1.
  16. In my experience that's about true. Most of the time we'll get to a scene and it's too late.
  17. Mission Row is not a World of Warcraft dungeon you team up with your buddies to raid for goodies. -1
  18. +1. Would be useful for PD as well so we don't have to use a sniper rifle in the place of binos.
  19. Reckless Operation of a Motor Vehicle is issued if you drive over 80 kph over the speed limit (150kph or above, speed limit is 70kph) in NCZs within the city, and is issued automatically by the speed cameras set up in these zones. You don't get fined anywhere else. Reckless Operation carries 45 minutes of jail time, and a $2,000 fine. Paying the fine is only half the story: you'll still have an active warrant for your arrest. My advice, don't floor it everywhere you go. Or at least just drive slowly in NCZs.
  20. -1, this is the wild west version of bounty hunting back when the US relied on freelancers to help enforce the law. Your suggestion is now considered vigilantism which is a crime in Los Santos. "Bounty hunters" in the modern day are bail bondsmen, and because there isn't a full court system in place there isn't a place yet for them. While I like the idea of putting more wanted folks behind bars, this wouldn't realistically be a thing.
  21. @BrockOlly Yes. The license was active at the time, and it happened for two different heavy pistols and a wrench.
  22. Date and time (provide timezone): 12/APR/2019 2200 UTC-5 Character name: Victor Einhart Issue/bug you are reporting: A dropped weapon cannot be used or selected on the weapon wheel when picked back up again. Expected behavior: Picking up a weapon should place it in the inventory, and when the inventory item is used, the weapon should appear on the weapon wheel. Evidence, notes worth mentioning, steps to replicate: Equipping a weapon via the inventory menu works as normal the FIRST TIME you use that weapon. Type /dropgun to put it on the floor. Pick it back up again, use it in inventory. Weapon does not show up on weapon wheel after being used. However, if you type /dropgun again after "equipping" it and it not showing up, it will leave the item on the ground as normal. Picking the weapon back up and trying again does not solve the problem. Logging out and back seems to fix the issue. Video of the bug in action: https://streamable.com/th199 Vehicle license plate number*: N/A
  23. Adding any kind of activity or diversion to keep people from robbing is a +1.
  24. +1 would bust people for prostitution
