You and I both know that isn't what I'm talking about.

It's pretty unreasonable to force people to abandon their character, regardless of the reason, in my opinion. While we can talk about the level of RP surrounding these shootouts, all this would do is cause unnecessary arguments in an environment where OOC arguments are already very common.

It's an IC issue that's being handled IC.

Cars bought with credits should be bind on Account

VIP is a service, a vehicle is an item. They aren't the same thing. -
Cars bought with credits should be bind on Account
Victor Einhart replied to Prozacel's topic in Archive
The currency used to buy the vehicle is OOC. The vehicle itself is not. -
I just don't really see a point to a faction like this, because the things it would do in terms of interacting with players outside the faction are already covered by legal factions like the LSPD and Sheriff's Department.

Couple questions: What would their mission be? What would they do during "downtime" when they aren't responding to a situation that requires the military (read: most of the time)? Would they have similar protection to the LSPD where their faction weapons can't be stolen? If not, isn't this just a way for criminals to get even more heavy weapons?

-1. This would encourage more robberies and cultivate the attitude of winning the game, not roleplaying.

I'd like to see some kind of fake ID system. I think the way things are is functional, but there should be a way to obscure your identity in some manner beyond a /me or /do and then having in argument in ooc chat demanding screenshots.

Ability to purchase new house interior and increase house storage
Victor Einhart replied to Angel Ceez's topic in Archive
I'd like to be able to furnish my own house rather than be stuck with some of the ridiculous props scattered around. -
Honestly, putting on the grown up pants for a moment, the only way to get the issues outlined in this thread to stop is to start reporting it. I understand that it's time consuming and unfair and you shouldn't have to do this and all that, but if your response is to: ...in response to harassment, then there will never be any resolution. Why would there be? If the people doing this sort of stuff aren't getting in trouble, why would they stop? I don't understand what kinds of action you want to be taken if the standard response is to refuse to bring it up to those who'd be able to help you. If you want change, you need to take action yourself and empower yourself, because otherwise things will stay the same.

Well, non-consensual sexual roleplay is already against the rules, so there is a point to be made that the folks in question especially in some of these examples are not abiding by the rules of the server when they come up and start that kind of thing. That tells me the trouble is the people in question, and is not the intended environment. These sorts of people need to ask OOC before they start this sort of thing. My first instinct is to say "report it," but like you say you'd be spending a long time pounding out reports and all that time you could have been spending on the server. And a report - even if you get it addressed ingame - doesn't fix the short-term problem that your experience at that moment was ruined - It's already against the rules to do this without asking OOC first. - We can't enforce it if nobody calls us, unless we just so happen to stumble across it while on patrol. Pick up that receiver and we'll make you a believer. - +1 I'd like to see this, there's already a precedent with mugshots and fingerprints in the MDC system. - Not sure about this last one. It opens the doors to a cycle of harassment OOC in my opinion. The folks in question might behave like garbage but that doesn't mean you and I have to sink down to their level and call them names, too. I see where you're coming from to try and deter people through the threat of ruining their reputation, but I'm uneasy about cultivating negativity.

So long as it's completely voluntary, +1. I don't want to have my character griefed and forced to start over.

+1 a command to allow somebody to build on a property would be great. Not only for businesses but also personal.

Speed cameras need improving with proper road signs
Victor Einhart replied to sammboi101's topic in Archive
The cameras wouldn't be a problem if people didn't put their foot to the floor just to drive to the grocery store and buy a bottle of water. Part of being a skilled driver is controlling your speed. Monetary fines are there to influence people's behaviour and if you refuse to change your habits that's your fault. Having said all that, road signs would be a good way to warn people about the speed limits. +1. -
I don't think this is really solid ground to stand on. Just because some people might abuse something doesn't mean it shouldn't be in place. For example there's a powergaming rule but that doesn't always stop people from powergaming and getting an unfair advantage... but the rule does cut down on it significantly. Removing the crosshair does add that bit of realism and was in my opinion a positive change. Saying just because some people abuse the change and the rule associated with it doesn't mean it shouldn't stay. The problem, I think, is the lack of a way to really detect if someone is actually doing this and getting an advantage, not the removal itself.

I took a swing at it today and saw one rabbit in an hour. It wasn't a great experience.

Impound needs to be automated or some sort of a schedule
Victor Einhart replied to TreMetal's topic in Archive
If PD wasn't so busy, the police could help out with stuff like this in a much more reasonable amount of time. -
Sorry I pointed a gun at one of your dudes when he walked into my property, I'm sure you understand. If the city ever approves my building permit I'll try and set up a nice set of benches or a picnic area or something outside and y'all can have a seat instead of standing around. Victor.

A non-emergency number would be great, but 90% or more of the calls will be about the impound lot.

Partly because that's how you get scammed. The only safe way to do business is via scripts. +1 though. I like the idea of more markets.

Create or Clarify the basic rights of citizens in the state of LS
Victor Einhart replied to CrowCargo's topic in Archive
You can refer to the United States Constitution for your rights as a citizen, as Los Santos is considered to be in America. The more you misunderstand, misconstrue, or simply make things up about this document and insist it's the truth, the better. -
