  1. Under normal circumstances the wait for an application to be reviewed would be 24-72 hours. Thanks to the recent explosion of interest in GTA RP, this has resulted in thousands of applications and wait times of around two weeks. A new department of support staff (quiz team) was created in response to this.
  2. Known repro: Pressing NUM-1 (quick print of vehicle plate into chat menu) on a vehicle sometimes gives an error: "vehicle does not exist." This does not crash the game. Pressing NUM-5 to search the plate on a vehicle that throws this error, however, crashes the game. Closing the mini-MDC and re-opening it sometimes fixes the error in step 1 which allows the NUM-5 search to proceed without issue.
  3. Take a look at the Los Santos Penal Code. Charges that carry jail time already come with a fine. When you're put in jail these come out of your bank account automatically. We can talk about whether those fines are fair, too high, or too low, but they already exist.
  4. It also breaks roleplay to have somebody be beamed up to the mothership and steal their car while they're indisposed. Rules already say a player should have the same advantages they had in the event of a crash, I'd say stealing somebody's car while they're gone breaks that rule. This issue is already covered by the existing rules in my opinion, the problem lies in situations where you're alone and somebody happens across your car. There's no way for them to know you're trying to get back in or if the vehicle is truly abandoned.
  5. +1 the animation has you taking hit after hit within seconds. The animation would be fine if there was a delay between hits.
  6. OOC is Out Of Character. IC is In Character. Think of it like this, you might have heard of an actor by the name of Keanu Reeves: In the movie The Matrix, in character he's Neo, and out of character he's Keanu Reeves. He assumes this persona during the film to portray a character, but obviously he isn't that person in real life. Similarly, in this game, in character you are expected to act like the character you create and not your out of character self.
  7. Just want to talk about this point real quick. The reason this happens is because if you sit around and RP with somebody on scene, it is inevitable that people will wander in and disrupt things either by walking past clear barricades saying DO NOT CROSS, collide at full speed into your cruiser because they're going 200kph in a 70 zone and refuse to slow down, or roll up in their Contender full of guys just to shoot you because they think (either correctly or incorrectly) the rules allow them to therefore they are compelled to fire off their guns. Trying to RP when everyone is out to make you miserable is impossible. I'm not trying to excuse this behaviour, but this is the reality of the situation. I honestly don't really care if I die on duty because I don't lose anything, but it's disappointing to be trying to put in the effort everybody says they want, and then suddenly people show up and take a shit on it.
  8. Sounds like an IC issue where you'd have to speak to DOC personnel. This is a roleplay opportunity to make your case.
  9. -1 If you don't want to be financially punished, don't drive like a fool. The tutorial surrounding getting a driver's license is excruciatingly thorough. It's 100% your fault if you ignore the law.
  10. All of that stuff can be done in character. Doing your own timekeeping and so forth only increases your engagement to the event. And of course if all that stuff is in character, that opens up the potential for criminal elements to bribe the officials, or other sorts of in character behaviours that you just wouldn't get if it was all automated.
