  1. Wheelies. Doing this in GTA makes the bike go faster than normal.
  2. You are speaking entirely from ignorance about this scenario and what led up to it. Very disappointing.
  3. If you're not just making this up, please submit an IA report so it can be dealt with.
  4. I'm not against this suggestion, but in my opinion there should be a number of different gangs, not bigger gangs.
  5. If you honestly think the goal of using barriers is to kill the driver, you're speaking entirely from ignorance and need to stop.
  6. PD already does use blue barriers to intercept pursuits. In your first example blue barriers are indeed used and the barrier is destroyed when hit. However the car is going 220 and wrecks. If it was going slower it would have easily passed through, and I'm speaking from experience having witnessed this more than a dozen times. You can't expect to hit an obstacle going that quickly and have nothing happen to your sports car. Slow down a little and play it smart if you see a blockade next time. Orange barriers are used for static scenes where the road must be blocked. This is because it's bullshit to have an RP scenario ruined by someone going 200 in the city and more or less VDMing an entire scene and causing a massive disruption to RP.
  7. If you're not just making this up, please send me the names of these officers so they can be punished.
  8. We could sit here and shit on gangs but let's be honest, if people wanted the kind of gang you're advocating for, they'd create one. People have their fun and I don't think it's right to take a dump on them because you personally don't like what they like. If anything, a gang that operates covertly sounds scary. I'm not disagreeing with you, I'm in favour of organizations operating covertly (I'm thinking about starting one myself for a RP storyline), but I'd rather such a thing be a new gang rather than trying to tell the existing gangs they must change.
  9. If anything this is an IC thing. They're choosing to operate openly and often face IC consequences for doing so.
  10. +1, but make it so any charges that you avoid become active again if you get other charges for a certain period afterwards. Like let's say you got 4 hours of prison, you should be on "probation" for 12 hours or some significant amount of time afterwards. You'd still get to RP and play but there is that heightened risk of being caught breaking probation. This might also cut down significantly on the random crimes that happen because people would have to second guess whether its worth it to get the charges they avoided added back onto their record and go away for even longer.
  11. +1, should be attached to the command that shows what vehicles are in the impound.
  12. I'm of two minds about this. Too often I come across a door that we've got to get through and we're forced to sit idly while an admin comes around to assist. On one hand I'd like a way to continue these RP scenarios without having to involve the admin team. At the same time, the whole point of lockable doors seems to be to prevent constant abuse of people trying to steal your stuff. If there's a way to bust down these doors you might as well not even have one because no one is going to not bring whatever it is that would be used to break it down. So maybe it's fine the way it is, as at least with how it is right now an admin can approve whether the RP surrounding going through the door is valid and not just nonsense.
  13. I always found it quite odd when people type "/do would I succeed" or similar in a lot of situations. When someone is under the fear RP if you type anything other than "yes" as a reply to their /do you're taking your chances with a report against you, or it turns into an out of character argument about stalling if you attempt to roleplay. I'm not sure what the solution is, but if we're going to suggest people use /do in a situation like this what options are there?
  14. Whoever told you this is wrong. That's 100% false and if they refused to investigate for this reason they broke faction rules.
  15. Police do investigate and it's already illegal. The problem is lack of evidence. Very few people RP for a contract, they don't exchange personal information, don't get the phone number of who they're doing deals with... it's frustrating to have someone come up to you and say they were scammed but then say they don't know the name of the person that scammed them. We'll get a report and then have zero evidence to work with. How is that possible?
  16. Just want to put this to rest, being in SWAT does not grant access to a drag. The only vehicles I don't like is motorcycles because of its nutty handling and that people go straight into subway tunnels, but having one type of vehicle where PD is at disadvantage isn't a big deal to me.
  17. Date and time (provide timezone): 1730 UTC Character name: Victor Einhart Issue/bug you are reporting: The new /ame attached to the /window command is backwards. Expected behavior: When you type /window to lower the window, the /ame that is now attached says the window is being raised. When you type /window again to raise the window, the /ame says the window is being lowered. Evidence, notes worth mentioning, steps to replicate: Be in a vehicle, type /window 0, /window 1, etc. The /ame that now automatically goes off is wrong. Vehicle license plate number*:
  18. While it is possible to abuse the system to do this, officers actually do RP going back to Mission Row to retrieve missing equipment or restock ammunition. If you see someone abusing the system for unlimited armour or ammunition report them for powergaming.
  19. Are you honestly saying someone that isn't part of a large and influential organization can have a gathering in public and they stand a good chance of not being robbed or fucked with? You and I both know that's not true.
  20. You gotta earn your way just like everyone else bruv.
  21. I think the complaint here is that it's impossible to create your own civilian RP scenarios without people trying to butt in, scam, rob, or extort you. What solution is there? As soon as you announce something every criminal on the server descends upon you.
  22. Sounds like a great IC idea
  23. The prison needs more activities for prisoners to do. Some prisons in the US use prisoners for basic labour for things like agriculture and manufacturing so there is realistic precedent for other kinds of "jobs" in prison. However stamps right now are not worthwhile and need a rebalance because all the activities in the world mean nothing if it's pointless to do them.
