    New Cop Rule

PD has to be first notified about the drug lab locations, through IC means. There already is a OOC rule that prevents them from going to drug labs for no reason or without any lead, in other words they "forget" about the location once they leave.

    New Guns

I think it's fine if a few more weapons are added like assault rifles or shotguns, but not snipers or explosives. Snipers would just make it super easy to pick people off from a distance and it's pretty unrealistic to see 3/4 gang members with a sniper. Same goes for explosives. People are already loose cannons with heavy weapons, but explosives and bombs would just be chaotic.
  3. You can always use your phone with /record. I think that's good enough to record IC.

    New rule

I'd say that if you're in a life or death situation, personal items should be the least of your worries. If you get downed, you're RP'ly (and scriptly) too weak to resist or to defend yourself. As much as it may be poor RP to not do any /me, best you can do is rate their RP. The server will also display a couple of /ame's to compensate.
  5. I'd prefer to see all ATM's be functional and then remove them from the map.
  6. Sounds like an IC thing. If you want a certain group that does certain things, it's up to you and others to make it happen. There's absolutely no need that a gang has to be official or not in order to function in the game. There are some great groups that don't have official status and they're doing fine. Remember that gangs and other groups get official status when they keep playing, trying and have good RP. Show that you can do that and you may get that official faction status. It's something you should earn, not get from the start.
  7. No thanks. As said above, it's not realistic and people would just keep doing it for the lols, with little to no IC reason. Heck I'd even argue that robbing a cop is failRP.
  8. Can confirm. PDHQ range seems to be limited to the locker room only.
  9. I think it's best to wait and see a bit longer to see how this plays out. Sure it may not be fun for everyone to be in jail for hours, but those are the consequences that you have chosen to do that have lead up to that. Do note that jail times for all crimes have been reduced, so they're not really that long if you only get charged for one thing. Another thing to note is that a lot of crime goes unnoticed and unreported/unresolved. I think this is a healthy update, since it forces people to think twice before doing something. If you're wanted because you haven't paid your tickets and you get pulled over by a cop during a regular traffic stop, it may be better to surrender there. But if you choose to run, shoot and maybe even kill some cops, it should be no surprise that you'll go away for a long time. Fighting back may always be a valid option, but the question is if you're ready to accept the consequences for your actions. Before the server protected you from.. basically yourself. Now, you take on full responsibility for every action you take. People will just have to come up with better strategies and do illegal things in a smarter way. There's no more OOC script to protect you IC.
  10. Making the impound lot automatic pretty much cuts out potential RP. It's also beneficial in other IC ways other than interacting with people. I don't agree that automating things is the way to go, especially on a RP server. I also don't agree to the whole schedule thing, because forcing players to play on a server and do a specific task isn't the way to go. There are other IRL things to consider and people may want to do other things. Officers will eventually come to the impound lot and release someone's vehicle. However, 911 and other calls have priority and always will. Due to high crime rate, that can take a while. It also comes down to the point why a vehicle gets impounded. Most impounds are because people leave their vehicles in a NCZ for free parking. Sometimes people will say it's their only vehicle and they need it, but then why did they risk getting it towed in the first place.
  11. Government (city hall) in ECRP isn't fully done yet, it's actually non functional right now apart from some business registration forms. There are plans to expand that, to a functional justice system and IRS. These things require a lot of studying of the law and also need data. Devs have confirmed that they're monitoring the budget, but gathering this data takes time. As far as civilian rights go, there are quite a lot more than that officer told you. He was either being ignorant IC or doesn't understand the law at all on a OOC level. But considering this is a game, you can't expect people to understand the laws fully, especially if they're from another country. I do agree that a law book would come in handy, however it would take a very long time to write it and it can get to a point where it's not fun. We all know how many stupid laws there are IRL and how complicated they can be. As far as your first encounter goes, loitering is against the law, but you cannot be arrested for it. If someone that owns the property asks you to leave, you should leave. A government employee can also ask you to leave, however there have to be legal grounds for that. Those are, but not limited to, you standing in a dangerous area, getting in the way of public service workers, obstructing other people, wearing a mask for no apparent reason, there's suspicion that you'll do illegal activities, intimidating people, begging and so on. All of those can be defined as loitering.

    Gang Run Drug Labs

    This would be pretty amazing.
  13. I've produced drugs before and saw quite a few people do it. It's honestly pretty simple and just takes time. Only risk to it is that someone tries to take it, but that doesn't apply to people who group up. There's also not a lot of RP to it either, since it's all automated. So if lets say 10 people are doing this and put their money together, that's actually a lot of profit. Lets not forget that you also get drug components for free, that also automatically restock every few minutes. So even if someone does steal your produced drugs, you still didn't lose anything but time really. As said above, it can be way more profitable than gov jobs for less effort.
  14. I'd just like to point out the "cops get everything for free arguments"... Yes, it's how it works. No cop in the world (hopefully) has to buy their own gun, bullets, armor, car and gas/maintenance. I would say there could be more micro-management when it comes to government vehicles and also all vehicles on the server really. Thing is, there's no way to RP'ly infiltrate the gangs outside of the city (ones importing the guns). There's no RP with them, while I feel like there should be. I mean if we get rid of imports and force gangs in LS to make their own guns or acquire them on their own within the city, I'd say it's pretty fair to have a small and simple automation to inform the LSPD about guns, since it's IC RP and also promotes more RP. Don't forget, LSPD is just PD, not the FIB or IAA. Since this is RP, we should assume those buildings are functional and are doing different operations on their own, even outside of the city. The city we're all in is meant to be populated, but I guess it doesn't feel like it since there are no NPC's, giving everyone the feeling like they're never watched. Another thing to consider is that criminals constantly poke the bear, the bear being the LS government. With their constant running around robbing, shooting and just causing general danger to.. everyone, the LS government has to increase its funding, to provide security to the people of LS. Crime rate in LS is high, that is why the budget for security will also increase and the state will get more funding to reduce it. In this case, there will be more officers in the PD, better equipment, more operatives like SWAT and detectives would be assigned to the city's security forces. However it doesn't stop at the PD, different agents from around the country and probably the world would be included into this. This is where the FIB and IAA would also be included, but unfortunately they're not an official faction on the server, because they simply wouldn't work out that well. Unless the crime rate decreases, which would cause the LSPD to get less funding and less resources in general, it's safe to assume their numbers, equipment and everything else will be high. Keep in mind, LS criminals are not only importing heavy weapons, but also are exporting drugs and vehicle parts at a very high rate. A normal PD cannot tackle all of this on its own and it's also when different agencies from different states would get involved to try and stop the operations.
  15. Thing is, I think this additional actually adds a bit more realism. All weapons are imported into LS. Because of that, different factions in the city work with different factions outside of LS (looking at this from a RP standpoint). Even if you're all careful on who gets the notification, you're still just half of the full picture. The other group that's importing these things could have a snitch or an agent in their ranks, that later notifies the LSPD. Realistically there's no way for you guys to know how the other group operates or how good their security is. I'd see this as a good thing, since the % chance is very low and weapons are pretty cheap. Importing weapons can also have little RP to them to begin with. Furthermore, there's also no visible indication that weapons are being dropped off, since they just spawn in certain places. There are no NPC's that would fly over and airdrop or use boats to get close and use the waves to get the crates on shore. If NPC's like that would be added (which can be), I'd say that would balance things out more.
  16. I wouldn't say that the language barrier is a problem as a mod mentioned above, since there are other people that can translate certain things and also there's google. I'm not sure what sort of topics the subforums would have, but I'm neutral on this. I would like that the majority of the forum remains in English, while rules, tips and things like that could be translated to other languages.
  17. How about if a crime is committed against a government employee, the max jail time would be ignored for those crimes? Committing a crime against a cop/medic then would be faced with very harsh consequences and would make people think twice. It's kind of stupid that people keep attacking cops while they have a warrant for not paying their tickets, which is 15 minutes in jail. No criminal with common sense would attack a cop and risk life in jail for a minor thing like that, but unfortunately LS lacks a lot of common sense. Basically if you keep being aggressive against gov. workers, you'll get the right sort of punishment later on.

    NA server

I don't like the idea of having 2 servers honestly. There are times when the server can feel dead and if we had 2 servers, it would feel even more so. I played on US servers before and I'm from EU. It doesn't really make a huge difference honestly. 150ms latency isn't that bad. Anything below 1/4 of a second is pretty much great. Considering a huge majority of people are fine with the server being in EU, I see no good reason to move it to US.

    Aiming dot.

Dot or no dot, I played enough GTA Online to pretty much know where to shoot. I'm pretty much neutral on this whole thing.
  20. The only solution is to add in more properties, not a company that will have complete monopoly over it all. This is a simple supply and demand problem. Houses may be limited in the game, however there are lots of apartment buildings that can hold 5, 10, 20 and more apartments in them. Simple way to do it is to add a marker at the entrance and it'll bring up a list of apartments, with an option to enter/buy them if you can. That alone could solve the housing problem for literally all players on the server.
  21. Mind describing how this would be RP'd and how it would work with the server?
  22. You only get a ticket if you go 80+. Apart from being careful, I'm not sure if there's anything else you can do.
  23. I don't think simply spawning in more money would help the situation. If you spawn in more money, money will lose its value and prices will increase again.
  24. I think people with VIP get enough financial benefit like lower taxes, fines, free cityB and so on. Giving VIP higher salaries, cheaper guns and armour would make the game P2W. While I do feel more perks would be nice, I think they should be more subtle. Like faster refuelling, electric vehicles very slowly recharging when parked, ability to use cityB even if taxi drivers are on... Even though I have VIP now and will so in the future, I'm against any perks that would push the server over the line and make it become P2W.
  25. I agree with this, prison times are too low and as a result, people just keep committing crimes that no criminal would IRL (like shooting cops because they got a reckless driving charge). People that have VIP even get 25% less jail time, which is pretty useful. But spending 8 hours ingame can be a bit tiring. I think 25% of a players jail time could be served while they're offline, but at a 4x slower time. So if someone is jailed for 2 hours, they can go offline and return in 4 hours and serve the remaining 1hour and 30minutes. With VIP, their sentence is basically reduced to 50% without them needing to play the game. I feel like it's a healthy tradeoff and can give people some breathing room in case they manage to get 8 hours.
