  1. Locked into a disagreement over fair pricing with a local store owner, the gang decided to blockade the Grove Street store and not allow anyone to shop there. Following an influx of snitching from random people, the LSPD became aware of this, and started making arrests at the store. Detectives also took interest in the peculiar situation. The Assassins would not relent from the task, and continued to remain at the store, in spite of efforts from law enforcement to get them moved. During one of the raids, a detective and two uniformed officers decided to stay behind to lockpick vehicles, with seemingly no fear of being in that location. We held them up and issued them an ultimatum: If you come to Grove, come heavy, or don't come at all. They took the advice to heart, and SWAT routinely deployed to the location of the store. High ranking members were arrested, and tensions further escalated. Morale would not falter, and the police would not be allowed to have a victory on an away game. The gang gathered, and braced for the next raid. Ignoring the advice of the Assassins, three lone cruisers attempted to raid the gas station. The result was devastating. Police bodies peppered the streets all the way from MD to the cul-de-sac. Grove Street is not safe for you. Come heavy or don't come at all.
  2. There is no point because the dirt doesn't sync. It's client-sided.
  3. I believe it is a bug and they are instead ordering 12,600 liters, and a 0 is added by accident to the end.
  4. I've owned a gas station before. The maximum fuel in a station is 20000 liters.
  5. This might actually be a bug, I suggest making a bug report and the developers will check. 65000 fuel is more than a gas station can have (20k max) @Ultra3D
  6. If we're moving away from the mentality of losing and focusing on roleplay, why not add /pw for official factions at their HQs. Realistically well established gangs would be able to arm themselves, and this would allow both sides to focus on RP and not worry about crippling losses, not just one side.
  7. Andre was cooking at LSD, when we receives a phone call from a familiar voice, asking for a meeting. He complied and they pulled up in a shifty warehouse, where they were met by armed zetas. Andre and Jay greeted each other, and went straight to business. Mike was sent in, on account of his previous experience with the drugs. Having passed the Laurie test, money exchanges hands, and the groups went their separate ways.
  8. "Veni, vidi, vici" Gaius Julius Caesar in a letter to the Roman Senate Andre and the rest of the WCA high command went to Grove Street and inspected the area, seeing much promise in the land. They bought houses, and in short order, this was their second home. Peaceful coexistence was offered to Ballas, who agreed to stick to their own business. A week later, it became clear to everyone involved that Ballas would not respect the terms of their deal, and continuously ran to WCA for help, as they were getting hit by randoms and Blatans. Grove Street would be the location of the meeting at which Tyrone received their ultimatum: leave Grove entirely, or go to war. They decided to leave, and relocated to Jamestown. The street was now as it should be, all green. However, it wasn't long before Ballas broke the terms of this deal as well. Several Ballas engaged in a shootout with WCA members that were attempting to evict them from Grove, and when a member of Ballas command, Josh, was approached to speak about it, he decided that Trucking was more important than our relationship.
  9. I personally believe that the coma system was very good, and actually made people afraid to die. A monetary amount would have to work like taxes, based off your money. 50k to a person with 10 mil would mean nothing 50k to a person with 100k would mean too much All in all, there needs to be more consequences for dying. +1
  10. You'll have to find members of the faction in-character and roleplay your way in.
  11. There needs to be a risk to your tax avoidance and other actions. If you are protected by OOC rules, you are just preventing RP.
  12. Form an IC union with other like-minded Truckers. It's happened before. They managed to get enough truckers on-board that big businesses like Mirror Park Gas started advertising that they are union friendly and paid decent amount of money.
  13. Your posts are a very interesting read @WillowRaven. Thank you for putting such a good amount of work into them, and I look forward to reading about new developments.
  14. I think the thing to keep in mind is that every one of those "petty" factions that are robbing you started in the same server, with the same rules, and same challenges. They rose over them, and are now the aggressors. Back when the official system was revamped, I remember a time when Vice was getting hit by zetas when we were 6 members and they were 30+, we talked it out, and Vice ended up an official faction, one of the strongest at the time. Similarly, when WCA started, we had a good number of people attack us, for very little reason, from randoms to retired gut pushes, otis gang, fog, and we pushed through it. As far as I know the legal MC doesn't regularly get hit, because it is legal, and has a good number of law enforcement in their ranks. You decided to start an illegal MC, effectively a gang, and the other gangs didn't take kindly to it. It seems like an IC issue, that can be solved IC.
  15. Andre received a text from a number he did not recognize, prizing the organization on it's development, and asking for a meet. The crew assembled, and discussed recent developments, as well as the future of the organization, as it seems that they are finally getting their recognition. Tension was heavy in the air at the quarry, as no one knew what to expect. The wait made things even worse, and the chat devolved into random topics before a loud noise started to be heard over them. Their counterparts arrived in an exotic vehicle, but fielding outdated weaponry, a curious combination indeed. That is until they spoke, and of course, they were mexicans... Throwing bags onto the ground, they invited us to check if their hardware is to our standards, and if it is, order. Their attitude could surely use some work, but the metal might just be worth putting up with. The shipment arrived a couple of hours later, with a healthy dose of attitude, and a few weapons missing. We then met with the Triads, and made them aware of the recent developments, and confirmed that we were all having issues with our laptops. Next stop was the motel, where a bus driver decided to be especially annoying and weird. We tried to teach him a lesson, but it didn't seem to have any effect on him. Following a major victory against Rooks, we gathered and went over some things to improve on. Morale was at an all time high, we felt invincible. No way to tell what the future holds, but we'll be ready.
  16. Fumar Smith broke his promise to the Assassins once, and he was given a second chance. He then broke his promise again, there would be no third chance. Sooner or later, they caught up with him. No mercy was offered then, nor will it ever. Sophia has been hitting WCA soft targets with an unknown male; she was later spotted near mirror park. She thought that she could outlast the Assassins as she waited behind the bank. About ten to twelve hours later, she feigned an escape attempt, and went to the Tequila-la parking lot. A person was sent to bring drinks and food to the group, as she watched hungry and thirsty. Well nourished and focused, they would not yield. Sixteen hours into the wait, she finally made her escape attempt, and when she lost a couple of members, she decided to pull a gun on her nearest pursuer. She was injured, and then dealt with. Unfortunately law enforcement came upon the scene, so her death was quicker than they would've wanted. In the end, the message was clear, there is no escape from the Assassins.
  17. Date and time (provide timezone): 04/MAR/2020 0300 UTC Character name: DeAndre King Issue/bug you are reporting: It will tell you that you can cancel the action with /stoppicklocking. Expected behavior: It should instead state that you can stop it by pressing ESC. (as the /stoppicklocking command was removed) Evidence, notes worth mentioning, steps to replicate: Get a bobby pin and start pick locking a car. Vehicle license plate number*: N/A
  18. In January, both Rooks and WCA were getting hit by the jackboy crew led by Oti. An agreement was formed between the two groups: They would become allies and face both their enemies together: Oti and NLA. In an (now) ironic twist, Dmitri stated that he had concerns regarding our commitment to the deal. We assured them that we would hold up our end, and we ended the meeting on a positive note. In the following weeks, the Assassins and Rooks mercilessly pummeled the crew, until they disbanded. At the all-gang meeting, the problem of the WCA-NLA conflict was posed, and each party was asked if they were willing to step away from the conflict. DeAndre(WCA) said No. Vasiok(Vory) said No. Dmitri(Rooks) said Yes. As of that day, Rooks made peace with NLA and refused to hit them, breaking their promise to WCA. A week or so later, the leadership of Vory and WCA decided that NLA wasn't going anywhere, and the on-going conflict was only weakening the parties involved, while letting others grow in peace. The sensible decision of peace was made, and after five long months, peace was finally had. Re-consolidation efforts begun, after such a long time at war, some of the soldiers found themselves lost without a clear goal. The daily routine involved hunting, more hunting and ending the day by hunting some more. This is what made the Assassins a force, but also made accommodating to peacetime that much harder. The old club was dusted off, and finally opened again. A good percentage of the guests were in fact NLA members, who were similarly eager to move away from the past. It is somewhat funny, as some old timers expressed that they still sometimes instinctively reach for their radio when they see a mexican car drive past them. The new generation of WCA won't have such memories, at least not towards mexicans. As people leave, the door opens for others to join in their stead. A second all-gang meeting was called, to abolish the tax system. It was made very clear that the council still demands things of the gangs, but instead of cash, they demand respect. They also made it very clear that neutrality now comes at that price, and people won't be able to buy it off anymore. In the following days, a number of gangs start getting hit, and the city sees the fall of Misfits. It was faster than most people expected. The Assassins were feeling good about themselves, had some time to rebuild, consolidate, it was now time to go back to war. Rooks leadership was informed, and the crew changed into their classic war outfit. Everyone seemed ready and more than willing to avenge the past. The Rooks, not so much. It seems that recent hardship left them in a state of utter defenselessness. They are routinely found with a shaven head, and without weapons. They will try to drive away for a bit, then surrender. It seems that no fight is left in them. Wholly disappointed in the fight that they're putting up, WCA changes back out of their war outfits, considering the enemy's resolve unworthy of calling the conflict a war. This does not mean that they are spared when seen. We are all waiting for a worthy response from the group that thought didn't need friends. Dmitri tried to reason and make new deals, but the north remembers. Who can trust a man that doesn't keep to his word? Just as the Rooks' life in the city is drawing near the end; In spite of all the haters wishes, the Assassin's future looks bright.
  19. In your example, you would indeed win. The issue is that apart from the 7A and 7K, your hand would also have 3 of the highest cards on the board. Automatically. For example the winning hand would be 3 2 7 7 A vs 3 2 7 7 K. That's when it's normal for you to win. The issue arises when someone has a straight, and you have a straight, and it counts the 6th and 7th cards as kickers. i.e. 3 4 5 6 7 A K vs 3 4 5 6 7 A J That is not normal.
  20. Front page updated. Nothing major, just replaced some artwork with more relevant (recent) one, and incorporated some of the great member videos such as @KronosBronx's video.
  21. Looking good, great post @OBESE
  22. There are a number of issues with poker that sets it apart from the most popular form of Poker: Texas Hold'Em. This confuses new players, and creates very awkward situations for people accustomed to that style of poker (most people). 1. The system should only count five cards towards the best hand. It currently counts up to 7 cards. ex: community cards are 3 3 3 2 2. All the players have full house, pot should be split. However, in the current system, whoever has an A will win as the system will count his hand as 3 3 3 2 2 A. 2. Acting order should follow the dealer button. It currently seems to either be random, or have the player who bet the most money last hand act first. This completely invalidates a huge part of poker strategy (position). 3. The raising amounts need to allow custom input. Players should be allowed to raise more or in between the available "defaults", but not less than the smallest one. 4. The time between games needs to be lowered from 30s to 10s A huge amount of time is wasted waiting for absolutely nothing. 5. There should be a time limit that depends on the amount bet, or you automatically fold. The time is up for debate, but anything under 5k could be as little as 15s, and bet over 50k should probably allot 60s of time to think. This will remove the need to report when people go AFK.
