  1. Citizen's Name: Matt Armstrong Citizen's Gender: Male Citizen's DOB: 15/09/1971 Citizen's Place of Birth: London, UK Citizen's Language(s): English, Arabic, Pashto Citizen's Affiliation: President of Iron Pegasus Matt Armstrong was born in London, UK in the year of 1971. He was born into a military family, where his father was serving in the British Armed Forces and sent to Vietnam to train the U.S Army in fighting the Vietcong. Armstrong's father also was a part of Operation Banner in Northern Ireland from 1969 to 1974. As Matt Armstrong was growing up, he was enthusiastic about following in his father's footsteps. Every year, Matt’s father would be absent for long periods as he was frequently deployed. But despite his absence, as Matt was growing up, his father never failed to teach him valuable lessons, from working on motorcycles in their garage at home to how to protect himself and those he loved. His father was an inspiration to him. With Matt learning some mechanical skills as a teenager, this eventually led to Matt getting his first-ever motorcycle and which then gave him the freedom to begin to learn how to ride. The year is 1991. Matt Armstrong is 20 years old and was already serving as a Signaller in the Royal Signals for the British Territorial Army for the last 2 years. With Matt awaiting his father to return home from the Gulf War, instead, he was informed that his father was unfortunately killed in action. With this upsetting news, Armstrong decided to transition to the regular armed forces, declaring him a full-time soldier. After several years of serving in the British Armed Forces, Armstrong was finally called to war. In the time of 2002, Armstrong was called upon to be part of Operation Herrick, the war in Afghanistan. With Armstrong being part of the SAS Signals Squadron, he was finally put to the test and still lived in anger of his father's death and had been looking for some way to honour his father since. Several years into the war in Afghanistan, Matt had already served several tours, declaring him at the time, a high ranking official in the Armed Forces. Although being successful, the unfortunate nature of war clouded him with traumatic experiences through the horrors of war, and death of his brothers, which eventually led to Matt suffering from PTSD. Operation Herrick ends. The year was 2014. Matt relocated to the Greek Island of Lemnos located by the Aegean Sea, looking to start up a business in Private Military Contracting. He and several men that he served within the war decided to start up the organisation known as 'Pegasus Security'. This point onward, they spent several years adapting and integrating to the conflict happening on Lemnos and managed to get up their firm on protecting political officials and wealthy celebrities of Greece. After they reached having around 43 agents being a part of the firm, they decided to assist law enforcement and NATO forces to fight against the rebels of Lemnos. Eventually putting all the rebels into hiding. After several years of Matt serving as the General of this firm, their success was noticed and the firm eventually decided to relocate after the amount of violence, war and killing. The contracting firm was eventually closed as the men decided that they wanted to start a new life somewhere else, and looked into that wouldn't involve violence. With several of the men being interested in bikes, they decided they should eventually start up a motorcycle club in a new city. The decision was made that some of the men, including Matt, decided to relocate to the city of Los Santos, and look into starting a motorcycle club. After the relocation to the city, Matt and the others expected the city to be a place they could settle in to nicely, however, suddenly they had realised the city was crawling with crime and gangs. This caused them to focus on ways to get themselves established and that they needed to establish themselves in a way that would be as strategic as possible and not cause any fuss between the gangs and organisations in the city. Matt decided as employment in the city was scarce, he would look into working into freelancing jobs. Although he served in the military and worked alongside the oil industry in the Greek Island of Lemnos, he decided that considering mining operations and mechanical engineering on vehicles would be something that could allow him to integrate and adapt into the city of Los Santos. After successfully making a living on freelance-based work, Matt decided with the other several men he came with to Los Santos, they would finally try to establish making the motorcycle club. As lots of plans and preparations were made, the club was then founded under the name of 'Iron Pegasus' motorcycle club. Upon establishing the club, the news began to spread around the city, and the club members and Matt are eventually confronted by gangs in the city as to why the club was established in the city, and what the club's agenda was to make income. Flashbacks eventually fill Matt's head from the war in Afghanistan after they met with a gang with numbers of over 40, all holding Kalashnikov rifles in their hands. A strange experience for the club members as they were not expecting this city to be so powerful in gangs, and thought that law enforcement would have these problems under control after their pleasant time in Greece of keeping violent situations and rebellions under control. After the club decided to work effectively in diplomacy, Matt and the other members of the club managed to get the club established and in a position that would allow them to grow, adapt and get themselves into the business that they planned for, whilst also allowing them to run a successful fully functioning motorcycle club.
  2. vG - Valhalla Gaming, hit that for years on SA:MP and MTA.
  3. I'd like to clarify, based on my first post about this. Most of this was indeed based on 'IC' issues that should have been resolved IC'lly. Although robbing is no longer common for me or other members of the club anymore, I still have seen several occasions that people I know have left the community for good due to being robbed to an extent that broke their game-play experience and immersion to being what they were trying to achieve in the community, which can be sad. So based on what I said before, I now believe rules don't need to be changed or cool-down mechanics to be implemented, but possibly a consideration of thought should be made on adding more 'No Crime Zones' to some more areas.
  4. Mhm, that wouldn't work.. Especially with this server that there is a lot of killing going on, I would also be against this as it's harsh. Imagine putting over 2,000 hours into your character, and then that's it. It's over. However, back in my SA:MP days, there was an RP initiation rule known as 'CK' Character Kill, which basically if more than 7 members kill you and you are on your own and they filed the paperwork to have you executed/assassinated and it gets approved by an admin, then that character is permanently dead.
  5. Times of success. The club has really made great efforts in diplomacy and recruitment, allowing them to recover well from when the club was first founded in the city, where the club were previously dealing with problems left and right. With success approaching from every corner, the club decides to take it to the beach and get some time of relaxation. The club has now been able to focus on their original goals of obtaining businesses in real estate and set up mining operations successfully. Clubbing. A true first moment for the club. After lots of blood, sweat and tears put to working on getting the club up and running. The club hits it's first club. Vodka. Whiskey. Rum. It's been a long time since some of the members are able to puke on their own shoes, get lost drunk walking on a highway. A true healing process.
  6. Armstrong is informed by the club's secretary that someone is framing them for some bad actions being committed to other organisations. With the information given, Kirk and Armstrong decide to arrange a meeting with a gang that believes they were being hit by the club. From this point, diplomatic arrangements are made to meet this gang and resolve the issues. Upon arriving to the location of the meeting. Armstrong speaks out honestly to the high command of this gang with an answer of who has been hitting them. With the high command of this gang acknowledging this, they are pleased to hear information on what has been going on and are relieved it's not the club. Both high command of both organisations manage to negotiate a way to ensure that it's not the club hitting them with professional communication. From this point, the club and the gang negotiate successfully arranging that the club will not be harmed by the gang. With the meeting being a success, the club and the gang exchange names and then the club head out to the road. It's a sunny day, the meeting is a success. The club heads out back to the city.
  7. It was a pleasure having you Lina! We're sorry to hear you go. We hope to see you around and hope you find the right fit for your lifestyle and club. See you on the road!
  8. Probably related to the story that was recently posted, haha. We were technically in hiding bud, haha! You should see us around more now hopefully, and thanks a lot!
  9. Iron Pegasus have a rough few days, and decide to go out for their weekly cruise. It's a nice day, the Road Captain's training formations and cruise speeds. The club take their wheels to the highway to perform highway cruise training. The cruise turns out to be successful, and members are beginning to form good cruise formations. Upon hearing some bad news, Armstrong decides to form an emergency meeting. Armstrong informs all members; "We seem to have a target on our back." With the members agreeing, a decision is made to perform diplomacy with other organisations. The club decides, we need information to find out why we are targets. Another meeting is formed, yet this time with an anonymous individual. The club gathers some information from the contact, allowing them to make better diplomatic decisions. The club begins to seek out the problems based on the recent misunderstandings. The club in the middle of patching one of their members, is approached by armed men. With the club coming outside to attempt talk their way out of the situation. The masked man asks questions about if we are hostile and if we are a gang. The man appears to be a high command member of the Triads. The club successfully negotiates with the Triad member in ensuring there is no further hostility. Although, one problem is solved of expressing that the club is legal, other gangs still believe we operate in illegal operations. The club attempts to find all the leadership of all criminal organisations and negotiate with them.
  10. Yeah, that's a good point mate. I guess we've just come at a bad time when there is lots of powerful gangs. Thanks for all the information about that, I am glad someone has let us know that this happens and that it's hard starting out from nothing. The thing is, we are a legal MC, but operate in illegal activities very rarely, this could be from small things like selling a firearm, etc. We do not do drugs, we do not rob people, etc. In fact, we provide protection to people in distress such as people in the mines. In terms of it being an IC thing, you are correct. Without full information, it turns out someone has been pretending to rep us and go around town DM'ing... So we are getting the blame for it. But yeah, we just assumed it was an OOC occurrence. Thanks for the heads up and good information buddy!

    Combat Logging

From my understanding, it seems there was a feature in the works with something like /logout right? Why not, we just have a radius that if a guy has fired their weapon and the victim is in that vicinity of 30 metres, or whatever. If they try to logout, it will say 'You are in Combat and can not log out' I have seen this in many games, it's a very simple system and works well. If a player just does ALT+F4, the victim that is in that 30m radius, automatically pings over to a log for the admins/devs and they will see that someone has closed the game without the proper use of /logout and that their state of isInCombat was [TRUE]. Sorry, game dev mind taking over me, but yeah, I think something to catch people doing it is also far more effective to reduce combat logging and issue out bans. That's my input as a solution for this problem.
  12. We are not an illegal faction. 90% of our work is legal work. It is not an IC issue at all, it's toxicity of the community, young kids with nothing to do but just be like "Oh, look there's a guy running on the road, let's rob him quick. Oh look another, let's rob him quick! Oh look, a biker! Screw it, let's rob him tooooo!" - This behaviour is just massive Non-RP for me. Repetitive gameplay is boring, if they were to do other stuff to, it would balance things out. My point is that there is no balance here mate. I don't want to have to relate to the forums all my time on Eclipse RP, if I am spending more time in an OOC perspective of things, I am not exactly playing the game am I? Why would I not be aware of the basic rules? I am fully aware of the rules, this is not a problem of just the rules being strict enough, it's about that the majority of the players are toxic, and want to treat the server like it's GTA Online. I am not about that mate.
  13. Right, This is going to be a very simple suggestion, but I am very sick of my time so far since being a new player just only 2 weeks ago on Eclipse RP. The robbing that happens is just way over the top. Something needs to be put in place as people are leaving the community for good. The Start of a Normal Casual Club I am trying to start a normal motorcycle club, which has started out very successful, when suddenly I am getting people saying they are just constantly being robbed in ridiculous places, the same places such as a gas station in the city. It's already caused several people I know to leave for good. Is this really a Serious RP Server? The robbing needs to seriously be put down a notch, or at least some new/modified rules put into place. This is not GTA Online where people run around with RPGs. This is a serious role-play server, and all we are getting is attacked constantly with no RP reason, suddenly 3 gangs targeting us for absolutely no reason. Casual Drive down the Road I'm driving 145km down a road, when suddenly 2 guys drive aside me and say through their mics: "Off the bike, off the bike, off the bike." What is this rubbish? He then decides to type into /b Fear rp - Because I am not stopping the bike, but instead driving to my original planned destination. Is this how it's going to be? That we can't even just travel alone to pop to the shop without being attacked by a bunch of people. That's most of my anger expressed, if this robbing continues, I am truly gone.. I finish work after 9 hours to come on to Eclipse to have fun and relax with the MC, when every 5 minutes, something is happening to us. Do I have a problem with a Challenging road to success? Absolutely not, I am fine with things being difficult, as it's what makes the game fun, to actually work hard to get to places. But no, this is not difficult, it's literally impossible. Either of us can't drive more than 2 minutes without being held up by this petty gangs. They annoy me, there is too many of them, and action should be taken towards that, or at least a balance of factions. Eg. 3 Gangster Factions, 3 Mafias, 3 MCs, 3 Legal Organisations, and so on. My 10 Years of RP Experience (SAMP, MTA, ARMA 3) Every time I have ran a faction on other RP games, I have always had a blasting experience, because of server rule enforcement, cooldown systems for criminal actions, etc. The Solutions: Solution 01: Cool-downs for Robbing Not sure how this would work, but I believe the devs should have a talk about if cool-downs could be an option for sorting this out. Solution 02: Create/Modify and Enforce Rules better The rules need to be changed definitely. There are so many gangs in the city, and most of them just go around robbing. Either place more /ncz's or something. Solution 03: Victim Cooldown Timer Another solution would be to introduce a mechanic that gives the victim a protection for a certain period of time or such. This would need a lot of thought behind it.
  14. Matt Armstrong and some of the other club members decide to go forward with the meeting. Upon the club walking into the territory of this gang, tensions rise when many firearms are seen. Suddenly being outnumbered out of nowhere, it was a difficult situation for the club to be in. Out of nowhere, many more members of the gang show up to the meeting as well armed to the teeth. The club has been in worse situations than this back in their time in the military. Armstrong decides, we've got this. They have no intention of shooting us. "Let's finish this meeting and get on with it." - Armstrong says. Armstrong begins speaking to the skull faced masked man that identified himself as the highest command around. With a permission request given from Armstrong to the man about claiming the garage nearby. The man decides to ask questions on why and what can you do for us if we let you get that business. Armstrong provides a proposition to the man that could be good for both parties. A positive response comes from the members of the gang, and the man asks for Armstrong's contact. With the man taking Armstrong's number, the meeting is concluded at this point. The club eagerly waits to hear back from the gang they have met if the permission is given.
  15. This is the story of the Iron Pegasus Motorcycle Club. 08.03.2020 - Finding the right workshop in Los Santos Matt Armstrong and the other high command decide to check out a location regarding their plan of opening up a mechanical workshop in the city of Los Santos. The members of the club decide to all form together and spend some time in the workshop to see if the environment suits them. From that point, it is agreed by all members of the club that this workshop is suitable to get open for business. The club heads in to the workshop and begins to explore the equipment and tools that they may need when opening up shop. Armstrong brings Tony Black over to examine some areas of the workshop to make sure it is in working order. After having several areas of the workshop checked by our best mechanic, the decision to have a one day trial is assessed by the club. The trial begins. The club members begin to gather their bikes in to the workshop, reminiscing them back to the past. They begin to work for several hours in the workshop with the tools they could get their hands on. Plans are also made by the club to hopefully one day contact the government in getting this as their first legitimate business. Armstrong receives a call from a club member, with something sounding very urgent. Tony Devachy informs Matt that it is no longer as simple as applying for a permit for the location. Devachy brings up some devastating news that purchasing the workshop could cause problems for us. Armstrong is told, there is a powerful gang in the neighbourhood that may take this as a hostile action. Matt Armstrong informs the club that there will be a very big meeting in place. Armstrong says: "Prepare yourselves gentlemen, it's going to be tough meeting."
