  1. Faction thread archived due to inactivity, please reach out to faction management in the future should you wish to begin again.
  2. Archived, as the OP has been directed to the proper section of the forums for refund requests.
  3. You're mixing two of the three scenarios - in the one where he was being pulled over in a super car by a SUV, they jump out with heavies and hes the only cop, there isn't 4 cruisers there. Assuming you'll lose a car chase ahead of time is a poor reason to escalate to murder. Your character would not want to murder cops by default and if he does want to murder everyone who comes close to interfering with his driving because he has a heavy on his back he should probably drive sensibly so he doesn't have to escalate to murdering cops because his driving. The rules haven't changed for criminals and the rules apply to all players including cops - but I don't see other types of players shooting / robbing other players based off the assumption that they would have probably lost a chase / pursuit with the person. They would be punished too if doing so.
  4. Advocating for communication is fine. That doesnt mean you have any right to the future information on development. What devs have for ideas or projects are up to them to decide to share. Some ideas we try dont work and in testing they get scrapped, making community hype and then removing it will just generate more posts like this talking about ideals and communication. They share what they can when its appropriate and there also are times features that are best recieved in a new update, or are tested & reviewed after implementation, not promised and permanent features. Thanks for the suggestion on communication, we will be re-creating a new community suggestions team for the forum sections in the near future as well which will accomplish the feedback piece you're looking for I believe. Enjoy ECRP

    Dark Army

Very unique thread, appreciate the effort put into this and look forward to see what you guys can create.
  6. Thanks for reporting this bug. Tank sizes were reduced for some vehicles creating a smaller tank. Gas you already paid for however stayed in the tank, so it is overfilled but won't be fillible over 100% later on.
  7. We've implemented a modding team which are looking into clothing, vehicle, and other types of mods being added & available for everyone including PD! Thanks for your suggestion.
  8. Development notes were moved to discord. Detail may be nice to know but is not needed for all players to know every OOC angle / logic / specific change. Some is designed so you can enjoy discovering new things while RPing. Thanks for the suggestion.
  9. Thanks for the suggestion.
  10. These actions are possible with the new inventory! Thanks for the suggestion.
  11. We have a testing server and staff do ample testing. If you're interested in helping testing, consider joining the support team, but there are other duties as well.
  12. Thanks for the suggestion, it has been discussed and we don't think there's a need for players to know the report que number as there may be circumstances such as situation that causes us to deviate from a standard que line, such as a report about being stuck vs a report about a hacker DMing etc.
  13. Thanks for the suggestion, it has been discussed among staff and there are many rules which surround this type of RP since this suggestion.
  14. This has been discussed and will continue to be discussed among staff and PD / SD faction leadership on what is / isn't acceptable. If you feel the driving / actions of police are non-RP, please report that on the forums. Thanks for the suggestion.
  15. I appreciate the sentiment - I really do. However, there are some differences which make this incomparable / not appropriate for our environment. The first major distinction between our environment and Twitch is that our environment is an in-character role playing environment and thus what people say over voip and in-character text is a role, an act, a portrayal, and those views are not OOC, meant to truly offend, or be taken out of context / OOCly and it is our job as staff members and players alike to remember we are in an environment where there's a fine line between in-character and out-of character. Every player should understand an IC insult isn't the same as an OOC insult. Marginalizing people IC is not the same as suggesting you agree with it OOC. Picking on blonde haired people in game, doesn't mean you think the same should be done OOC. Actions taken in this IC environment do not reflect peoples real views and are not meant to be taken outside of in-character contexts. The second major distinction is that you suggest that vocabulary isn't conducive to a healthy, friendly, and welcoming RP environment however I would argue restricting speech is blurring the line that anything IC should be considered/taken OOCly as offensive. I also would argue a welcoming, friendly, and healthy RP environment can operate around offensive topics with our current guidelines in place where any player can communicate to another player if they feel offended OOCly and players should be respectful enough to cease overly offensive RP. The environment is only healthy when free speech is available and used respectfully. Simply banning these words, or punishing anyone who tries to RP a belief they may not hold IRL tastefully, is not a healthy resolution to offensive terms. Instead, educating players to understand it isn't directed OOC, communicate if they feel uncomfortable regardless, and report repeat offenses or intentional OOC uses of offensive terms, is the way we believe these situations should be handled among respectfully role playing adults. The third distinction is that we are a multi-national community, as is Twitch, but what is considered appropriate / inappropriate varies greatly within our player base. We could not encompass all offensive or derogatory terms, nor would we want to. Twitch rules suggest depicting binge drinking or drug use is also not allowed - does that mean we should remove drugs from the server? I don't think so. This is a depiction of real life, meant for more mature individuals who want to generate a story together. Mature and offensive themes will occur and present themselves and we welcome people to play these situations out or use the tools mentioned previously on how to avoid having to be faced with material they may find offensive. Controlling players speech regarding offensive or insulting terms is not something we plan to get involved in, as we expect our players to be respectful and mature adults when playing with each other and that mature themes and sensitive topics are something we consider possible and free to RP in general within reason, and arm our players with tools to work together. Lastly, I want to address your perceived issue of streaming or it being 'draining' to stream public places on ECRP, or that streamers aren't able to feel safe streaming on the server. I think that is a poor way bring the suggestion forward without having any push back from Twitch or true difficulty/pressure regarding streaming Eclipse RP. I don't think it's right to suggest you or all streamers feel unsafe when there has never been any problems with Twitch TOS and streaming our environment. Nor is it fair to suggest Eclipse RP is unique to having adult, mature, or sensitive RP topics taking place. Things that Twitch would take immediate actions on are already prohibited. Someone using vulgar or edgy language will not get streamers banned unless they're promoting / allowing it to continue without taking necessary steps to put an end to it. We arm streamers and players alike with tools to remove themselves from offensive content & handle these situations already, and if other players don't cooperate they can be reported and removed. All in all I think the restrictions are right where they need to be and think its appropriate for respectful role playing adults. This after all is an R rated mature game and an online game with people of all walks of life - and to that end, we're trying to re-enact and depict mature themes. All players need to see clear lines between something done in-character and out-of character and see the difference between playing a role and acting a character out and someones actual OOC views / intentions to offend people OOCly.
  16. This looks really neat, enjoyed the thread so far. Looking forward to more.
  17. Thank you for bringing up your concerns. We put out a community announcement clarifying our stance on this, which is that it is the case that we think racism in those ways is considered disgusting RP needing consent. Please see the #annoucement channel on our discord for more on this.
