    Flatbeds Crashing

Date and time (provide timezone): 09/05/2020 Character name: Dezzy Bala Issue/bug you are reporting: Deploying Flatbeds seem to cause more crashes. Expected behavior: The vehicle should deploy normally and not crash people. Evidence, notes worth mentioning, steps to replicate: PD spawns a flatbed, users seem to crash if they're in the vicinity more often than not.
  2. I can understand you being frustrated but I think your comments are both unnecessarily rude and a little bit ignorant. This is an in-character issue and as such, belongs in-game. That being said, since you've taken the time to aim baseless insults at my faction and the people in it, I'll answer. Your biggest mistake there was assuming that your word on something is enough to convict another person or persons of a crime. Just as you claim they broke into your RV, they could just of easy suggested you forced them in their at gun point as well. If there's no CCTV recording or a law enforcement officer doesn't personally witness it, it's not enough evidence to convict them of anything. LSPD is usually around 15-25 people on a 400-500 person server. Do you know how busy we get at times, especially if there is a big pursuit or a shootout? As a newer person to our community (judging by your post count), I'd like to recommend that perhaps you learn a little more about how things are done in Eclipse before getting on the forums and accusing people of not doing their RP correctly.
  3. To me, NBDY created this new system to be THE system. The static labs are still in there for the independents/low tier criminals to take a chance cooking. Anyone that is organised is going to be using the new system. If the static labs were better, there might be more of a split which doesn't make sense. You now have the benefit of being able to cook drugs on your terms, with that convenience, you lose the risk of getting caught slipping as much at static labs. So in order for there to be some risk, you have to be able to be caught in your own property. It's like getting robbed at the clothing stores before, if you got caught slipping then that's kind of on you.
  4. I think attacking someone for having a certain coloured vehicle is poor role-play. You wouldn't see a crip shooting at a car just because it's red in real life would you? It's also counter-productive to not getting caught by law enforcement. See a bunch of red and black vehicles? Oh hey that's Triads! I think the distinction however should be when it comes to uniforms because it becomes impossible to tell people apart otherwise. If someone is wearing a Triad mask for example, fair enough, force them to take it off and rob them if you got to. But simply attacking someone with a red/black vehicle or red/black clothing, it's poor.
  5. I'm not sure throwing accusations at staff members is the one to be honest. Think you're out of pocket and it's the sort of behaviour that we don't need.
  6. Having had a second read of it, I can't help that it micromanages the factions a little too much in ways that is needed. To me, all you need is a legit reason to fight, terms to fight by, a fair fight and a way to win. That stuff should be agreed on by both faction leaders with faction management only stepping in if it's necessary. You want to keep the OOC stuff to a minimum and just let them go at it. As a neutral, all I want is for the fights to happen in low traffic areas and not to be constant. Don't start World War III at the parking lot, take it to the scrapyard or something and only have the fights a few times a day. You still wanna get your down time and roleplay in, than just go go go. The one thing I feel this doesn't do a good enough job of addressing though is 'The Council'. I have respect for both factions but I think in some ways that alliance has stifled the criminal scene in this community as much as the lack of script updates have. You only need to look through the last three official faction wars (WCA and Rooks and Wanted) to see the pattern. All these factions pile on one faction and it's no longer a war, it's a slaughter. That faction dies off and we wait three months for the next one. I want to see WCA against Zetas, with some big stakes for the winner/loser. It's about time someone broke the status quo and I genuinely believe that WCA would give the Zetas enough problems to make this interesting enough to watch. I saw the original ending to this current movie when Wanted were forced out of the server and then I saw the sequel when Rooks were forced out. This current gang war is Expendables 3, I know how it plays out and as a neutral it's boring.
  7. This is great, if it's combined with more stuff for criminals to do. Feel like half the shooting comes from there not being much else to do. Good that there is finally some structure to these things.
  8. I think when you compromise the role-play standard for a higher population count, situations like this are almost inevitable. Speaking as part of LSPD, the majority of the robbers.. non-role-players and combat loggers are new players. Because anyone that has a vested interest in this server knows better than to pull that shit. I said it on another thread but a lot of new players want to be Scarface, they don't want to be Tony Montana. We have an over-inflated economy that feeds the 'get rich or die tryin' mentality, so of course people are going out there and robbing each other. It's a dog eat dog server. Ballas have been stomped out by WCA very recently, dog eat dog. The Council stomped The Wanted out of existence, dog eat dog. You could carry on and on with examples. I'm not saying that was wrong but it's the nature of the beast. People look to the police but to be real honest, we're so busy chasing the gangs around, half the time we don't see your 911 call about getting robbed until it's too late. Sad but true. For people personally on the end of this that are continuing to play here, I say you've got three options. You can become a robber yourself and make someone else the victim. You can continue to whine about being robbed and stay the victim. You can adapt and minimise your risk of being robbed in the first place. it's still going to happen to you at some point but there's ways and means of avoiding it for the most part. I'm not a staff member so I can't tell anyone what to do, but if it was me, I'd look at whether having 450-500 people in the server at one time was actually helping or hurting the community. If there is some kind of selection policy about who gets an account here, it's not working because there are some god awful roleplayers coming in recently.
  9. For me personally, I get to the point in PD where I don't want to wait the 15 anymore. If they re-log within a couple minutes fair enough like but a lot can happen in 15 minutes and it's like.. why should not be able to enjoy my time RPing on the server. Yeah connection issues happen and that, but if they're gone for more than five minutes, to me they aint coming back.
  10. Eclipse is enjoying a swole in population right now and I feel like given the current climate with PD sitting pretty at 130 members, DOC at 48 and SD at 55 with no cap, that it isn't unreasonable for scripted factions such as Los Zetas, Triads and West Coast Assassins to be able to extend their ranks. Gamble, Bruce and DeAndre are all experienced members of this community and all with a lot of experience running an illegal faction. They understand the need for their factions to follow the rules as much as they possibly can, so I don't think they'll invite people into their factions willy nilly. I think that with the current population, the cap should be increased by 20 to 80. Zetas are pretty much at capacity. Triads are 10 off that and WCA has rapidly grown over the past few months to the same amount. As long as a good standard of roleplay is maintained by these factions, they should be allowed and encouraged to expand where they feel comfortable to do so. New Players coming into the server want to be a part of something and they'll stay longer if they have something to invest in, it makes sense. Plus, more people for us to arrest and LSC/Bayview gets more business from all the extra vehicles that need colouring!
  11. I feel cheated when my car can only go 210 km/h but because someone has kicked in their wheels, they have a super computer or they've been smashed into the back of, they can go 260.. 270.. 280.. 300 It is unreasonable to expect people to drive the speed limit but there are also certain risks that come with driving so far beyond the speed limit. You cannot break, decelerate and move as easily the higher speed you go but you move faster. For the record, we stopped using the solid barriers because it's like hitting a brick wall. We conceded that, but I feel like if we're being asked to drop the breakable barriers then I'd feel cheated.
  12. Is that a Rapid GT you're driving in your video? Wonder why you're driving that... My BFF Tom Brown informed me it's his video, but while Rapid GTs and Comet Retros are in their current broken state, i don't think you guys can complain too much about some blue barriers
  13. In-character, you guys are an absolute pain in the arse. From an OOC perspective though, it's quite refreshing for another faction to step up and be the main antagonist of the PD for a change. Credit to you all for that.
  14. Felony evasion while a driving offence is still a felony. It means you are considered a serious criminal by the state, as someone that is willing to evade from law enforcement. That's pretty much why your firearm license gets revoked. On the surface, it's easy to think.. car crime.. gun license and not connect the two though.

  16. The problem sometimes with being new is that new players expect the server to give them something for almost nothing. The people that have things in this server have them because they've been here 6.. 9.. 12.. 18.. 24 months. They've earned their spots and their assets through their participation in the server and the world we role-play in. People talk about the little guy getting shit on. The little guy gets shit on in real life. The strong prey on the weak to stay strong. Same goes in Eclipse. Getting robbed can happen to anyone, but if you are smart and don't let your guard down, it happens a lot rarer than you think. The problem with some of these new players is echoed in society, everyone wants that instant gratification. Everyone prays for rain, but they don't want to deal with the mud.
  17. I look forward to seeing what you guys do in-game.
  18. Ah men of culture! Say what you will about LSRP but from 07 till 09 we had the best GTA San Andreas roleplay community going. SA:MP AND MTA.
  19. What lol, i'm talking about them shooting each other. I get it, it's probably not the best idea to dress in different colours, but it's one of those "its a game" things where you just have to accept it.
  20. As far as I can see, it's done for a practical reason as much as any. Gunfights would be a nightmare.
  21. I don't like the idea and I'll tell you why, "market saturation." You know why the majority of the nightclubs in the server remain closed and unused? Because there are far too many of them. The more of something you add, the less valuable the existing ones become.
  22. There has to be a certain element of risk involved, i'm sorry you lost your items but it's the nature of the beast. If you got a lot on you, you gotta take extra precautions. Can't just expect to have these handicaps to make the game safer for you, it's a roleplay server full of criminals. Someone has to be the victim.
  23. I appreciate the suggestion and the impound is something that needs work, not just for people getting their vehicles out but also us answering the impound. That being said though, the MDC contains highly sensitive and personal information about people, so I can't see that being a thing.
  24. Damn right we are. Thin blue line looking thicc.
