  1. Oh I 100% agree too. I've read the forums and can see what they are doing from a OOC look on things, and I'm also sure there are members in these factions that are giving out good RP too, but there are RP opportunities missed here. Maybe its a timezone thing too? I'd also like to add that I wouldn't mind being robbed everyday for my possessions if it wasn't just "hands hands" and so forth as previously described above.
  2. I agree here. I am now with the DCC faction, and things for me RP wise have improved a bit since not everyone is wanting to just rob you, so good RP is there most times on your rides to/from places, but previous to this I was a Money Transporter for a good 4 to 6 months and it was the same thing over and over. At first it was exciting, but then it was just the norm, and I even found myself getting a little sarcastic with people about it too. Then, and even now, I just don't carry anything anymore. GPS and Radio as its my job, that's it. People say "why dont you carry a knife or gun for protection" but whats the use? If I have no intention to jump to conclusions every time someone approaches me, and they end up pulling out the weapon first (which is whats going to happen 9 times out of 10) then I cant do anything but lose my inventory to them, so why carry it at all? And I don't. I've seen and heard of people having their clothing stolen as well in robberies. When people take things like clothes, or worse - the clothing objects that remove parts of your clothes like undershirts or scarfs, I mean whats the point of that? Just inconvenience to the RP'er your spending seconds with? As for gang colors - This is just getting ridiculous. I could understand to some extent if a gang wanted a certain color in a certain shade and they all went with that, but its completely stupid that a gang will pick a color and think they own the entire color in any shade or form. At what point wont there be a color available to use since any variances to 1 color can be deemed unacceptable to factions for others to use? But above all, shouldn't gangs stand for more than just what color they are wearing or what others should/shouldn't be wearing? (I'm sure they do btw, but I've never experienced it in my time in server. Every interaction with any faction I've come across either just want to quickly rob you, or approach regarding the colors I'm wearing or have my vehicle painted, that's it). In conclusion though there is a huge loss of RP opportunity server wide now. As a clean civilian you know your a sitting duck, so most days I'll log into play and catch a cab to DCC and just work until I'm ready to log off so no belongings are on map just to be stolen and have the no RP experience of just going to Mors and getting it back or buying new stuff. Pitty though.
  3. I think it would be cool to allow people with perm keys to get repairs or call a mechanic out if they total the car, but I don't think they should be able to make modifications or park/take out the vehicle whenever they please. I've seen the scenario where people with perm keys abuse the use of taking that persons vehicle and the struggles of being in game at the same time in the same area to remove the key let alone them have the ability to modify or park the vehicle as well against the owners wishes. Their taste in colour and style might not be the owners, and I'd hate for someone to change something I might like already. Maybe is it an idea to put a system in place where you can add/remove a key much like you can a house? This can be done anytime then. Calling a mechanic to tow/repair only a huge +1 though.
  4. +1 Absolutely! I think it would be really good to be able to label clothing as well with a command so you know what your carrying.
  5. I agree these jobs need secure parking, as it would be the case IRL. I also think that removing vehicles from the map that have been left by players not currently in the server is another issue in the NCZ's. My comp simply cant handle LSB or PD when we go a few days without a reset, which creates an issue as my character is a cab driver that generally needs to pick up/drop off people in these locations. That being said... I also agree that the vehicles shouldn't just vanish from the map. I think creating a car park in these areas would just allow people to store them there and render housing and LS Parking a little more useless/not in demand ((thus dropping prices further)), where IC rules should be implemented that only on duty people can be parked. And if having people around to tow these vehicles is an issue then the work is obviously there to create jobs specifically to towing, so that should be implemented. ((The issue of abandoned cars on map is just as ridiculous and nonrp in many cases, but that's another issue in itself)) Bayview and Weazel seem to have abit of an opportunity already with closed in gates for on duty players, though obviously there are issues for LSC, PD, MD and DCC (not sure about the others sorry). With PD and MD there are multi story carparks within walking distance that are not used at all. Perhaps would it be a suggestion not to NCZ them, but to add gates to them with access for those faction members so the vehicles are technically still in game? This would still be a realistic scenario as its only a short walking distance to work for both. As for DCC, I still believe a section of the casino parking lot should be allocated to cover this. Again - All my suggestions revolve around on duty vehicles being permitted only, and towing jobs be created that arent based on PD or Mechanics solely whom sometimes have better things to be doing than towing vehicles.

    NCZ Zones

Don't agree on more NCZ, but do agree that if there's a way to script auto police calls for help in camera areas during the day (ie service station) after a certain period of time that would be good, as it would be very realistic for someone to call the cops if a hold up took place at a gas station during broad daylight.
  7. +1 absolutely on this ^
  8. Thank you for your examples @Jasmine. I haven't ever found my character in those situations hence I've never had to deal with it (though understand the current rules in place for it), hence my question on the matter. Seeing it from your point of view in your comments here its obvious that you may be down (unable to move the character), though RP an injury that would EASILY allow you to show resistance to someone just picking you up and moving you freely, so in that case I think its a -1 for sure, and /me /do RP should apply.
  9. +1 (sort of) I play 7 days a week, and contribute to DCC each day. I live in Aus, so with this timezone I can be the only one on duty at times, and I completely understand the frustrations players experience in wait times. It also becomes extremely difficult too when there is only 1 or 2 drivers running and a person hops in and wants multiple stops, hence the call can be the equivalent of 2+ customers. The current scripts I believe show when an on duty driver is taking a fare (/taxidrivers), perhaps would it be an idea to allow the city bees to be operational to players with less than the suggested 3 drivers on duty providing a fare isnt being recorded? Or perhaps add a command for drivers to apply when accepting a customer (/accept [id] or something like that) so the server knows the 1 or 2 drivers on duty are with active customers. This command ceases when the client climbs out of the cab and the fare is taken. Not putting something like this in place in my opinion would leave me with nothing to do as a 1 person on duty player at night (or worse, 2 of us) because ALOT of my calls come from city bee areas, so should the original suggestion be implemented I would essentially get no calls at all from hospitals and dmv locations (what would the motivation be for a player to try calling a cab first to see if we're available?). What also happens to the city bees once you get where your going? If they sit there for a period of time (example the garage), then people that would normally call us from those locations will just utilize them, and there goes a few more call opportunities. If they can spawn instantly they need to be able to disappear just as quick otherwise this cheaper/quicker alternative will just gain priority).
  10. I completely see both sides of the fence here, but can I just genuinely ask... If someone injures you down where you physically cant do anything control wise with your character, then how would you be able to resist them picking you up in the first place with a /do reply? The reason you cant move your character about is because your incapacitated, therefore helpless to whatever your attacker(s) wants to do with you - wouldn't this just be a given? If it were a RL scenario and your knocked down, I cant tell my attacker that I do/don't give them permission to pick me up and drag me about. I completely see the /me part though, as this is no different then the /me RP we do in jobs around the city (to clock in/out of work for example), so I get that part to the extent that it should be RP what your doing with the body, I just don't understand how a person with no control should still have control.
  11. + 1 With plastic surgery that allows you to change basically anything, why cant this be added for a fee?
  12. +1 on adding another location. The Bank is horrible to be around when it gets too full, so adding more spaces at current HE would be no different. A new location allow similar volume spaces as HE out of town for example would be a great way to go about it.
  13. Your very welcome. Was able to come into town briefly and happy to have contributed $10k to the services you provide. Thank you again for all you guys do. Take care, Dave Lawrence.
  14. Usually not in town at this time of day, but will make a special effort as I really appreciate the services you provide to the people of LS and abroad.
  15. +1 Awesome ideas there!
  16. -1 I'm a cab driver and occasionally you crash from the server. Providing the doors are locked nobody can switch seats or climb in whilst rebooting, so this secures the RP situation whilst a reboot is completed. Allowing this option would essentially allow the passenger to just move over and drive away. Regardless to the cab situation though - same thing applies to just carry passengers you may be just helping out. Its also a little unrealistic that you'll switch seats with driver/passenger inside the car as oppose to you both just climbing out and switching.
  17. +1 Great idea for those living and working out of the area. Don't necessarily need to come back and forth from the city just to park the vehicle.
  18. +1 Great ideas
  19. Name: Dave Lawrence Comment: This needs to take place as soon as humanly possible so all voices of LS are heard on every issue.
  20. -1 The server is growing at a consistent rate now, and places like the DCC are growing just as fast. DCC are here to get people from A to B when you don't have a vehicle. Adding a train network removes an element of need for the DCC (and I know the train network is only restricted to areas so its not a total loss to DCC) which is pointless since the train network wouldn't require people to run it (and even if it did we're talking a single driver). The server needs more jobs/activities as many people have said, not take them away with automated transportation.
  21. +1 on multiple ideas given here
  22. I do think something should be done to reduce the chances of stealing cars easily. Perhaps adding security levels of the vehicle as an upgrade?
