  1. It is a roleplaying server. If you just wish to rob, shoot and kill without any repercussions then visit a TDM server, or GTA online. Actions have consequences. If you can't afford to pay a ticket, drive slow and pay attention to cameras, as you would in real life. If you can't stand the though of prison, don't commit crime, as you would in real life. This isn't going to destroy smart criminal factions. The LSPD is relatively small 1/20 of the server population at most times, and the areas they can reasonably patrol is even smaller. If you are smart about your crime, you will never get caught. There are several people known for being very involved in criminal activities, and have never been arrested. This is only going to destroy criminal factions that like to rob people outside of clothing stores next to the city center.
  2. Memorize the map, only if it fades away from memory over time, otherwise it becomes a single use item. The GPS in car is a very nice idea though, but I can see that needing to be replaced after a period of time too!
  3. I agree the criminals need more script support, but the IC diplomacy is forged IC and I'm somewhat weary of changing it due to OOC reasons.
  4. Occasions as in once in a blue moon. If someone is facing eight hours in prison if he surrenders, but eighteen for shooting at all the cops arresting him, he would reasonably surrender. Adding a hard cap will give him permission to do whatever he wishes when he reaches the cap, as there will be no further punishment, only the possibly of reward (if he dies in the shootout).
  5. The problem with fines is that there's a criminal loophole for it, specifically, if you don't have enough money to pay them when you go to prison, nothing happens. People give their money to friends and turn themselves in, then get it back. A debt system is required before we increase fines, so that they will owe money, and not be able to do stuff like buy gas, houses, or food.
  6. How about when criminals rob a person and chop their car, so they have to spend 3 days to get back the money for their gun, food, the money to Mors their car and anything else they might've had on them? Is that alright?
  7. Suggestions are supposed to be one per thread. C.1 is impossible as far as I know. You can't have someone's dimension changed but also keep his body visible in the old dimension.
  8. reading up on the past hoza? 👌

    1. Hoza

      Hoza

yeah my man, missing the old days

  9. This is a symptom of the fact that the city is so overrun by crime that there is seldom a period of time in which cops will be available for non-emergency calls. This includes ride-alongs, reports and vehicle releases. Instead of automating it, we should look into taking steps to give law enforcement proper tools so that they can introduce some real drawbacks to crime.
  10. Because it completely kills taxation in the form of the house sale system, high end, low end, etc. It also kills loan companies. I've seen much much better RP since scams even in NCZs became allowed. You actually have people ask for collateral if you loan them money, and be suspicious, cause they know you can scam them, just as it should. In the past people would be like come to bank and I'll loan you anything no worries. It's a crutch for bad RP and I'm glad it's gone.
  11. The ability becomes an issue when it's regularly abused by a very large percentage of the player base. There is no way to justify wearing a mask when you take money out of the ATM at a busy bank in Los Angeles, and yet if you slide by the bank, how many people there will be masked?
  12. hi 3 months too late friend
  13. Well said. If anything we should look to reduce the number of NCZs. Definitively not up for adding more. -1
  14. It used to work 100% of the time, it's a recent bug, so hopefully it will be fixed soon. I haven't seen any bug reports for it though, so that will slow it down.
  15. They have been buggy recently. Sometimes they sync, sometimes they don't. It's also possible that the officer is breaking protocol.
  16. That is a rule break and should be reported.
  17. Drug labs are being found out by law enforcement because of careless criminals, drug labs are being destroyed. A consequence. This is roleplaying server, actions have consequences. If LSPD found out about drug labs, and they couldn't do anything, and you could just keep making drugs because of a 2/5 rule, how is that in any way realistic?
  18. They don't care about being caught because one and a half hour in prison is nothing compared to all of the guns and money they steal in a day(s)-long robbing spree. There is a need for drastic change in legal consequences, however it seems that most criminals are opposed to them. see:
  19. Because opening up the phone UI makes your character store away weapons, change other animations, etc. With commands you could text while aiming a gun, which is unrealistic.
  20. Really excited for this. Don't drop your standard. I'm already very pleased to see how you dealt with other gangs provoking oocly. @James_McNulty
  21. I can confirm this is happening with LSPD as well, for at least two months. Since the panel last updated my rank changed twice. PO 3 -> Detective -> Detective II
  22. Criminals need to be steered away from messing with civilians, not encouraged to, at least until more reasonable deterrents are implemented against crime. -1
  23. This is going to be overused just like masks. The only way I could see this not being overused is if the penalty for being caught with a removed plate is that the vehicle is taken permanently. We already have everyone running around with masks, having everyone running around with masks and no license plates will make us look even more like a lawless county rather than LA.
