  1. I think the crowbar turns it from a crime of opportunity to a crime that you need to prepare for, as not many people go around with a crowbar.
  2. From mechanics to gang members, a lot of organized groups on the server have at one point used a speaker to play some music during down-time, and most of them have likely had it stolen with little to no roleplay because of it's relatively high value and extreme ease of picking up. I think we can all agree it would be way harder to steal a speaker from a group of people realistically, but besides the realism, this change is proposed in the spirit of making the game more fun, and increase social RP. I propose that in order to pick up a speaker put down by someone else, you will need to have a crowbar in your hands, and you will need to wait 15 to 30s in an animation (can be the same animation as ATM robbery).
  3. I like the idea but I believe it could be abused as in people just go around and break into cars for the weapons with no intention to chop them. I feel it would be better if the NPC had the chance to gift you a weapon when you sell the weapon parts, that way you are rewarded for doing the full activity instead of cheesing it.
  4. The fact that they're being used almost non-stop seems to be evidence to the contrary. If public labs were not profitable enough, no one would use them. They might not be as good as private labs, but nothing will ever be as good as printing money with zero risk in a private interior.
  5. Literally every way of making money criminally has been buffed substantially; even doing ATMs is worth it, maybe not for someone with millions from cooking, but for a new player? definitively. I do think that sometimes new players will run into heavy opposition at labs, and that is fairly good, but there's also times when I've seen newer players cook solo at Chilli and no one shows up for hours, and even then, they can drive off on a BF400 which is a cheap bike. I don't think it's as bleak as you paint it, on the contrary, there's so much money on the map, it's hard to stop people from making it.
  6. -1 If you are a criminal working a legal job, you need to at least pretend to be legal. If you're just a criminal cashing in 8k an hour, what's the point in doing crime?
  7. -1 Private labs allowed every single organization regardless of lore or ability to hold dozens of drug turfs. That was obviously not good. Only the organizations that can regularly hold public labs can field a large amount of drug turfs, and that is, in my opinion, good.
  8. I also agree that it would be best to disable private labs entirely, and allow refunds for tables and things. It will open up a lot of properties for more inclusive RP and permanently remove the hope of a return to the old ways. The actual city has been more alive than ever these past few weeks.
  9. For reproduction: this usually happens when the door is too far away from your real door (interior door).
  10. I don't see any downsides to this since the refund command exists. I believe they should be re-enabled.
  11. I think the issue is that this situation is much more nuanced than you make it out to be. There will be a lot of times when we do not prison people to ensure all charges are placed, and then people say that we're holding them there to punish them. There will be other times when we prison them quickly, and then add charges later, and that is also a punishment. You can do a job quick, or you can do it right, you can't do both.
  12. I don't see why you're bringing GBK into this, I think it's much more relevant that you recently started cooking, and as such have a vested interest in labs staying active. I agree that some interactions are not ideal, but any interaction is better than being locked in a private virtual world. All players I spoke to have admitted that the city feels more alive now than it did for months, because people are no longer locking themselves in virtual worlds. Look past your own assets, and what's best for the server.
  13. Most other criminal activities were buffed to compensate; you do not need to be earning money every 5 minutes, the goal of being on the server should be interaction, not assets.
  14. This is a feature request, not a bug report.
  15. It's way too early to consider reverting changes. It takes time to get used to the new things and appreciate them.
  16. I think that we should wait for the gun update and see what that does to the economy prior to making changes. I should also note that in the past week since the Island update came out, there's been non-stop heavies and kevlar on almost everyone there, so I'm not sure that equipment is overpriced.
  17. Romanian flag might be interesting for an upcoming project.
  18. In light of recent realizations I believe it might be useful for everyone to have the disconnect message range increased drastically. This will prevent players from disconnecting when they are about to be engaged with roleplay, such as when holding a lab, or when attacking a lab. I don't believe there are any downsides to this, as mass disconnects should not happen during normal gameplay.
  19. I will note that in this specific instance, we were on your freq as you gave out your exact location and even stated "we have 15 we'll slaughter them anyway" (about PD). If you believe that qualifies as LEOs making up reasons, you can address it as @MrSilky stated.
  20. Going to the impound lot as a police officer can generate a lot of roleplay, especially if the individual happens to be wanted/have issues preventing the vehicle from being released. A lot of the times there's not enough cops and too much crime happening for them to respond quickly, but I don't think that removing even more interaction from the server takes us in a good direction.
  21. The issue with that is that it's very hard to make something more appealing than a money printer in a separate virtual world. Nothing will compete with that.
  22. If your lab requires 1000 bottles, that is the lab that is cut off from all interaction for hours.
  23. Yes, I agree, the setup is involved, but once its setup and you have the ingredients? You're effectively cut off from everyone, for hours, just spawning money. It's not good. I am in favor of having materials spawn at the public labs, this isn't about introducing more risk or making crim harder, it's about promoting interactions. I believe 2019 public labs were some of the best vehicles for criminal interaction, and they should come back.
  24. You can reply to every comment that does not agree with you, but it does not change the facts. I know over 30 people that have cooked for years and had a lab explode maybe once. The risk is greatly overblown, while in the same time they made at least 10 million. We're talking about how 90k in 3 hours is not worth the risk and how it's bad vs PD, in the same amount of time, a cop makes 10k. Private labs were terrible for the server, and it's good that they're being heavily disincentivized.
  25. Private labs should be removed completely to just rip off the bandaid. Spawning money in a private virtual world is not in line with roleplaying.
