A Christmas Story: Family Matters, amongst other shit

Since joining the Aztecas, Christmas was still unsure and felt a bit uneasy rolling around with the vatos. The ways of the Familia and how they handled themselves required a bit of… “hands on experience”. In the past few days, besides clapping fools and rolling blunts, Christmas was out and about chillin with the vatos

First stop, lets clean up some of those sewer rats:

20200809031103-1.jpg

Upon returning to the city Christmas met with a good friend Kon, a fellow LFM amigo, and discussed future plans up north and what can be accomplished if we put a bit of elbow grease and start planting:

20200809035828-1.jpg

Later that night, the Familia got a call from the Cartel requesting some stores to be hit up North and bring back the money to earn some respect. Dushane and Angelo gathered the vatos and we headed up north:

As the night past and dawn was about to break, we received a second call from the Cartel. This time, the Cartel was seeking something a bit more exotic… CARS. What type? All shapes and sizes. So the Familia took out their rusty but trusted lock picks and started boosting cars all night till the break of dawn:

Just as everything seems to be going so good, *sniff* *sniff*, “do I smell… bacon?”

A Christmas Story: to be continued...

Jose "Machete" Trejo

Born in Mexico City.

sOVSoDW.png

Ended up in Los Santos because their parents wanted to pursue the American dream, which only works out for a few.

Spent most of his live living in poverty, yet an ambitious person. He tried earning money the "legal" way yet it didn't bear any fruit. Eventually he found a little familia called "Los Aztecas". He got to know them for a bit and loved seeing the Brother/sisterhood within, these people treated each other like family which is amazing. It didn't take long before he asked for recruitment. Jose joined aztecas not long after the NLA civil war, he's glad the good side won that war.

It ain't an Aztecas meeting without a shitload of kamachos.

You'll usually spot Jose driving his Gauntlet Hellfire or Paragon R with a special livery and special metal paintjob.

0eKrL4K.png

If he's not driving those he'll be driving a Hakuchou drag so that he doesn't have to deal with the LSPD's bullshit.

kaZ6c6e.png

Jose's always ready for any backup call and not afraid to get his hands dirty. Whenever El Jefe says something it's going to get done.

You shouldn't try talking to him about torture because he's going to be talking for hours about his favourite techniques.

Valentina Guadalupe,

was born in xico, in one of the many barrios of Culiacán. She grew up, in the streets of the barrio, and with ‘las tías’ helping her, giving her food and a place to sleep, when she had no one. Her mother died when she was only five years old, and her father never saw her birth. She never stood more than one year in the same place until she had nine years old, as the time passed she was learning how the barrio works, and what happens in the barrio, praying every night for a better tomorrow, as she had no family to help her, when she was around sixteen, decided to start her new life in the barrios of Los Santos. She had heard about “Nuevos Los Aztecas” back in xico, and so when she moved to Los Santos, she went searching for them. She found one of the members after a couple years of living there, which presented her to the rest of the Mexican family.

Around the age of twenty-two, when she felt that she was back at home, she felt safe around them and she knew that she could count on them, so she got closer and closer. She had to prove that she was good enough for that, with the knowledge that she had from the barrios in xico, so she fought for it, till the day that she was allowed to be part of that familia.

https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/732818204006678568/768171963637563392/Val_1_Done.png

She always tried to learn with the best of her familia. She was always paying attention to her higher ups, so that she could learn how to grow and how to act in the proper ways when it was her time to do so. As the time passed, she was getting smarter and having more knowledge of the city, of how it works and what she could or couldn’t do.

After a couple years, constantly fighting against their enemies like "Vory AKA Blatants", to protect her family and the allied people that they had. Some of the high command members of “Nuevos Los Aztecas”, had different visions of what they wanted for the future of the family, and so they started to split. Valentina has chosen the right and best side, as she had learned a lot with the people that she had chosen to stay with, her true family. They’ve lost the church that they used to pray to the holy vato every sunday, they’ve lost a lot of people that they thought were loyal and family.

https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/732818204006678568/768161442935210004/Stranger_8442_5930-1584821511485.png

A war started between these two different groups, and as the high command knew that we were going the right way, and that their choices for the future of the family were the best, “Nuevos Los Aztecas” had a finish in that moment, but not our truthful family, and so “Los Aztecas” born, keeping the standards of a real family, keeping loyalty to each others and helping every single “vato” that was possible. She knew that she had met and kept with the best family that exists in Los Santos. With a lot of blood spilled on the streets, and a lot of sweat, “Los Aztecas” won that war.

https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/732818204006678568/768161441425391626/Stranger_8442_5930-1585347904866.png

They’ve got the church back to them, and the loyal people were with the family, the important people who were willing to give their lives for the family were there and never quit, and to commemorate, they’ve opened their doors to every single one in the city on that sunday.

https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/732818204006678568/768161445371838544/Stranger_8442_5930-1586110102486.png

Time passed, “Los Aztecas” grew, stronger than ever, more loyal than ever, and another war arrived, this time it wasn’t their war. This time it was “Council” and “West Coast Assassins”. Three of the biggest gangs in the city. Both sides started to get allies to help in that war, that was a bloody and hard war at the time. “Los Aztecas” joined that war to help their most loyal allies, the “Council”, and “Dojin-Kai” joined the “West Coast Assassins” side. And so from that time, a long war occurred and the “Council” had to take the most important thing for “West Coast Assassins” at that time, which was their HQ, the place where they could hang with power was no longer theirs, and was taken by “Los Aztecas” the “Council”. “West Coast Assassins” had an end after a long war, and everything was going back to normal. After a couple days, the “Council” reached “Los Aztecas” once more, and this time, was with the purpose of being part of the biggest organisation in the city. “Los Aztecas” became part of the “Council”. Blessed by “Los Zetas” and “Los Santos Triads”. Time passed, new gangs growing such as “Dojin-Kai” and “Murdablock” which was led by old members of “West Coast Assassins” and some others disbanding, but the “Council” remained strong. Valentina knew that was time for her to step up and work even harder, whilst “Dojin-Kai” and “Murdablock” started to allying, and planning attacking the “Council” because of disagreements between both sides. The moment came and another war began. The “Council” once more had another enemy and had to get that to an end. Valentina fought harder than ever and that was recognized inside her family and around the allies, she earned respect in that “world” and she was finally stepping up. Her hard work was recognized and she was promoted to Oficialias within her family.

https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/732818204006678568/768161429563899924/Aztecas_2.png

One day, the “Council” lost one of the best gangs that ever existed in Los Santos. “Los Zetas” decided to disband, they were all close and they disbanded for good. Some of the members started new groups, such as “Gangster Disciples” and “La Familia Michoacana” and “The Irish”. As they were close to each other, and a new but old enemy came back “The Rooks”, they got together to try and fight them, another war with a lot of blood spilled, with a lot of cops involved and a lot of sweat, but in the end, they kept strong and they could win that war once more. “The Rooks” had to go back to the shadows once more.

This new gangs started to get closer to the “Council”, but their standards were not the same, something was changing to the wrong way, “Gangster Disciples and La Familia Michoacana” started to fight “The Irish”, and “Los Santos Triads” got involved with the situation because their leader is a really good friend with “The Irish” leader, so he was trying to protect his friend. But at the same time they were breaking rules of the “Council”, and that couldn’t happen, it was part of the “Council” standards not to break rules between each other. After a couple times of thinking, and making hard decisions, “Los Aztecas” joined that fight, helping as always what we think it’s right side. They joined with “Gangster Disciples and La Familia Michoacana” as they had always been really loyal and helpful with “Los Aztecas”. The “Council” then split and one of the biggest wars is about to come.

Valentina grew as a person, learning with everyone in the family, helping her “hermanos y hermanas” and she grew in the family as well, she’s known in the city as a crazy woman, because all she does is representing and defending her familia with all her heart.

A Lost and Troubled Soul

Time stood still as Arabella watched the blood pooling at her feet. Her eyes darted back and forth between her father's pulverised body and the blacked out vehicle that contained the men that had just shot her father. She closed her eyes and inhaled slowly before holding it, praying that when she finally released the breath everything would be as normal, but it wasn’t. Her father’s years of relentless emotional strength training kicked in, in that moment. Arabella  took a deep breath and pushed her emotions aside as she knelt down and placed her hand on her father’s pulse, foolishly hoping for any sign of life but she found none. Falling to the ground, she swore right then and there that she would find the people that killed her father.

From there Arabella’s world spiraled downhill. She spent years searching for any information that would be the key to unlocking the mystery that was her father's death but she came up short. Her father had always been the alof, mysterious man for most of her life, and it was no doubt that this air of “unknown” that he had went hand in hand with his death. She harmed and tortured people for information and lost herself to her mental health. Arabella became so obsessed with finding out what happened to her father that it completely consumed her. Her mother continued to fight for Arabella’s health, making sure to teach her to be compassionate, to not hurt others, but the lessons fell on deaf ears. Arabella was lost in a frenzy that she neglected her mother, who soon after passed away due to cancer. As if like a light switch, Arabella was brought back to reality. Her mother’s death reminded her that there was more to life, and she owed it to herself to get help.

She admitted herself to rehab, decided to go down the medical path like her mother and followed her line of work. But the need and want to get to the bottom of her father's death was still there. Shortly after overcoming her depression, she stumbled upon a few letters hidden in her father's office. The return address was based in Los Santos, but there were no further details. Upon reading the letters she discovered her father had been dealing weaponry to a mexican cartel, and had frequently visited the city for that purpose. Angrily, she quit her job and packed her bags.

She boarded a plane and flew to los santos with the hope of finally coming to the bottom of her fathers death.

*****

The first few months of Arabella’s life in Los Santos was hectic. Upon arrival she bumped into one of her childhood friends Matt Armstrong, who proceeded to invite her to join his Motorcycle club, Iron Pegasus.

MC_photo.png?width=1249&height=703

She spent months working with Matt to recruit people within the MC, whilst attempting to keep up the legal status. She ranked up to Head Secretary within the club which was viewed as a high command position, and it was her duty to liaison with the gangs and organisations within the city to ensure that the MC was on good terms with everyone. This gave her a huge advantage in trying to form connections with the gangs that may know what happened to her father. She set up meetings with WCA, Triads, Zetas, Dojin and last but not least NLA. After meeting with the then NLA, the now Los Aztecas, Arabella felt motivated and one step closer to finding out about her father. She kept close ties with some of high command, and found herself and her MC being invited to their weekly church services.

NLA_MEETING.png?width=1249&height=703

As time went on, and friendships were formed, some lost. Arabella found herself in an unlikely friendship with Valentina Guadalupe, a member of the Los Aztecas , who did nothing but supported her and helped keep her sane. She confided in Valentina and expressed her shame for what she had found out about her father, and the things that she had done in the past.

bae_and_i_2.png

Arabella thought that this would drive Valentina away but she accepted her and continued to love her. Months passed, and she found herself falling in love with Valentina more and more everyday, until she eventually proposed and they married. On the day of her marriage Alicia Rodriguez, the Capitaz of the Los Aztecas welcomed her to the “Familia” with open arms. It was then that Arabella understood that she had found a family within the Los Aztecas.

12.png?width=1249&height=703

Arabella found herself spending more and more time with the family. She helped each member as if they were her own flesh and blood, put her life on the line for those that were getting attacked, and stayed loyal to the Los Aztecas. The more time she spent with them, the more she understood what the azteca saying “Mi familia Sobre Todos” really meant. She had never met a family so incredibly strong, so close knit, so caring not only for their own but for others. She had finally found a place that she knew she could call home, and she couldn’t be happier. But Arabella’s journey into the Los Aztecas was not easy. She was doubted by some, and had to prove her worth and her want. No matter how tough the journey got, or how doubted she was by some of the members, she continued to show and prove to them that she had what it took to be a part of the family.

Stranger_8442_5930-1602368844465.png?wid

A meeting was called by Alicia, who asked for Arabella to also attend. Alicia Rodriquez spoke about the last few days and what had happened in the city, and went on to thank each member, including Arabella for their hard work, and to express how proud she was. After a slight pause in conversation, Alicia asked them all to line up. It was then that Arabella realised it was finally her time to be a sworn in member of the gang. Alicia slit her palm and Arabella’s and joined her to the family.

A Week of Relationships

Even though the city was in turmoil, building relations is something that the Azteca’s never ceased to do.

Some previous members of NLA who had supported the conflicts by the group were looking to join one of our close allies. People they had known for a long time.
On hearing the news, Alicia phoned Oti and warned him of their past experiences and let him know that we were not in a position to just move on. Considering how much respect Gangster Disciples shows towards Aztecas, something other groups had failed to do, both potentials were stripped of their GD pants and informed that they had to build relations back with Azteca’s before they would be given an opportunity. Helsinki setup a meeting and some harsh conversations later, a mutual standpoint was agreed and Dominic was given the all clear from Azteca’s to put back on his Skull Pyjama Pants.

Helsinki whispered to Alicia “I wouldn’t do what you are doing you are too nice”. Alicia smiled and replied “Someday I will need a second chance too, and I hope someone offers me that opportunity”.

The Lost MC reached out to the Azteca’s for a meeting to let them know that they were having difficulties with some people in the city. Unprovoked attacks on them were occurring and it would appear that these people were acting in an unruly manner. One of the names Alicia recognised so she brought it forward to Dray. To ensure that good relations were held all around, she introduced Dray to the Lost MC. All the members of GD in town at the time rocked up to introduce themselves and a conversation was held between both of their high commands. An agreement was made, phone numbers were shared.

Smaller gangs in the city were something that Alicia has always held close to her heart. She remembers the days when NLA were nothing but a tiny street crew and looks back fondly on those days, and nothing but blood, sweat and tears brought her to the point that she is at now. A point she is proud of, but one that must always be maintained. This city is cutthroat. You can be loved by many and hated by more. There was a girl in the city that she saw a lot of herself in, someone who was trying to lead her group. But her problem was a lack of understanding that rumours spread like wildfire. Alicia has always tried to do right by the girl, but it would appear she was causing herself many difficulties. Alicia reached out to all those involved and tried to gather as much information (or misinformation) as possible and brought forward the evidence to her. The girl was unable to answer and Alicia left her with some solid advice; “You must be wary of what you say, make claims you can back up and always remember you cannot be liked by everyone”. Alicia left just hoping that those words stuck with her but only time will tell.

While Aztecas, La Familia, Gangster Disciples and More Blood were chilling, news came through of an ambush from her many little birds in the city. Triads and Irish were setting up at a Drug Lab with the sole intention of hitting them. Alicia looked around at the people in front of her and noticed that they had an energy she wanted to harness. She pulled out a piece of paper, one that she usually kept for her vatos, but realised now was a time that maybe people outside of her familia needed to hear. She stood in the middle of these strong men and women, people who had made commitments to protect her, their families and her Familia. People she would forever be indebted to and in her loudest voice made a speech;

“Imagine if you got what you want every time, no struggle, no hard work, no challenges, no hard work required. Some of you are saying that would be great.…. You are given this life because you are strong enough to live it because you are strong enough to drive through it, to thrive in it, to aspire others through it. Then when they will look at you and say he did it, she did it, I have the strength to do it too. You are stronger than you think. You survived all your challenges to this point and you will survive whatever is coming... Your struggle will be the gift that the world falls in love with. Nobody wants to hear a story of a man that was given everything. People want to hear the stories of men and women that endured pain and turned their struggles into a gift. Do you want people just to feel sorry for you or you want people to look up to you?.... No more second guesses, no more blaming others for the problems you have in your life. It's a new day...”

The group made their strategies, moved in and completely annihilated those waiting to hurt her friends and family. They patched up their allies, ensuring medical treatment was the first priority.
In a nod to the Zeta’s who Alicia has always had the highest respect for, she called out “Somebody get me a Jerry Can”
They piled up the bodies and stood quiet. She handed the Jerry can to one of her most trusted Capitans Tony and told everyone to step back. What happened caused awe between all the groups. Tony stood on the rock over them all and aimed at the can. A huge explosion sent chills down everyone's spine. They had completely burned all the bodies, removing all evidence for the federales. They packed up and cleaned up before the policia even knew what was happening.

A bit of rest and relaxation was earned by everyone so they decided what better way than to have a race night. Alicia and Carla made plans to host the event. Juan called out “is this for fun or are we throwing cash down?”
Unfortunately between policia, attempts on their lives by random enemies, meetings with high commands from some groups that were being caught in the crossfire of this manic situation and a peculiar situation between Clowns and Weazel, they never got to but they made a commitment to enjoy some time.

Dia Los Muertos was fast approaching and they needed to make their plans. Alicia began gathering people to get ideas for what they could do. This was a day that they would honour those who had fallen and passed. An important day. She looked forward to celebrating this with her vatos, friends and familia.

Even with everything going on she ensured that recruitment was followed and each of the trials who had passed their time on what she had seen received their blood bond handshakes and given the coveted gray flannel and mask. She spoke to each of them of what she expected and wanted to see.

She glued in each photo from the week and smiled and cried doing so. This life is hard and you have to be tough. She knows that tougher times are ahead, but she knows she has her familia, and no matter what..

The Son

She kicked it into the highest gear, veering her weight to the right and sailing around the curve of the road. The wind whipped across the firm texture of her fox mask, the soulless green of its eyes gleaming in the sunlight as she tore her way up the winding roads of northern California.

She hadn't told Alicia where she was going. Hadn't told anyone. She had left all her belongings behind, including her cellphone and had even stolen a bike to cover her tracks in going north. She hadn't planned on coming back up this way, at least not this soon....but the looming threat of war had reshuffled her priorities. Not to mention the strain she felt in her mind, slowly tearing itself at the seams.

She had felt it since the night she learned the truth of her own birth...the slow, gradual decline. Being reborn meant tearing away everything that the Blessings had done to her...but too late did she fully understand what that meant. The Vice City Sect had always prided themselves in the 'reprogramming' aspect of their work, breaking a human being down to their foundation and rebuilding what they needed to back up, effectively creating their standard brand of 'agent'.

But a human being....at their core, their most basic level...is primal fury. "An animal," The Matriarch had always told her, "An animal is all we are...all we can ever strive to be in life R-1. We as people have been domesticated...like pets, to live in the modern world amongst one another and bound by delusional beliefs of peace and harmony."

She could feel it, even now...the blood rising in her veins. Oh she had free herself from The Blessings alright...but by dismantling their programming she fell right into the Matriarch's final trap...the foundation. CRU was beyond her now. So was help from Alicia, from Niki, from anyone. Believing her Fiance' to have abandoned her due to her Triad affiliation, being mercilessly hunted by the LSPD at every corner and turn, Roth's breath hot and angry on the back of her neck, and now yet another war just over the horizon....this could've been the very last chance she had at real contact.

She had been this way once before, but...never really completed the journey. Nerves were her downfall the last time she had made the attempt, but this time...this time everything was on the line. This could very well be the last time...the only time...the final time....she could ever have any chance of seeing him.

A few more hours on the road and she found herself north of the Shasta-Trinity National Forest, in a town just south of Edgewood. It was a quiet little town, your usual amenities and local shops. She stood out like a sore thumb, catching odd glimpses from some of the people she passed by as she slowly rolled through the streets on the motorcycle. She had to move quickly...quietly. If LSPD had popped the BOLO on the vehicle and threw her description out...it was only a matter of time before local LEO's or worse...the State picked up on her movements. She could practically hear Campbell's monotone indifference and Sanchez's handcuffs from here...

She ditched the bike two blocks away from her target, tucking it back behind a cluster of dumpsters behind the local coffee shop and took to a path into the treeline across the street, making her way slowly through the brush. It reminded her of long ago...when her and Reina would travel the Missouran wilderness together as children.  Long gone were those days though...the transition between her generation and the future starting to come about.

Before too long, she found herself standing behind a large oak located in the eastern fields of the building she was looking for, blending in amongst the rest of the foliage. She peered slowly, cautiously, the open smile of her fox mask just barely visible from her vantage spot. She had managed to get a layout of the place from some old blueprints and outlying photographs, as well as a couple of time schedules by posing as a contractor for construction work, needing to work on a specific part of the eastern wing and needing to know when would be the most convenient time to do so....namely lunch.

Lunch time was when the kids all exited the building to eat, and to play in the fields. Her gambit had paid off, as 1 oclock ticked away on her watch, a bell from within the building went off and kids flooded out of the front entrance, eager to being their playtime.

She stood there and watched, far away, her eyes scanning the crowd over and over again. To be honest she didn't want to see him...she wasn't sure how she'd react, or how she'd feel...but it being the last time, she had to be sure. She couldn't leave it to chance.

When she finally did see him, her breath caught. She had seen a photograph of him from years ago, and even then it was at a far distance but she knew...she knew right then in her heart it was him. A mother always recognizes her little one.

He was tall for ten years, skinny but not lanky, and a full head of raven hair on top of his head. She could tell he had freckles, the way his dimples showed when he smiled and laughed with some of his friends. Her cheeks felt hot, silent tears spilling rapidly down her face beneath her mask as she held an expression of concern. Immediately her mind flooded with thoughts...thoughts she had ached to have ever since she knew of his existence within her: 'Was he healthy? Was he eating well? How were his studies? Was he popular? Was he....was he normal?'

Her chest felt heavy, thudding and pounding with the beat of her heart as she clung tightly to the tree. She couldn't chance staying for much longer, but...by the stars just seeing him really put her mind at an ease she had not felt since she had first met Caroline. She tried so hard to pry herself from the tree...but her grip remained firm. She didn't know what it was...maybe she couldn't tear herself away, maybe she was scared if she let go that'd she rush towards him. It was only when he turned his head, catching sight of her and tilting his head in her direction that she let out a soft gasp, finally releasing the tree and turning to scurry off.

She had nearly made it to the treeline when a voice called out behind her "Wait!" She stopped dead in her tracks. His voice was light, yet commanding though she knew it wasn't with intention. He could've told her to destroy worlds and she would've done so for him, the weight on her heart pressing heavily as she slowly turned her head to face him. When his eyes met the glassy orbs of her fox mask he took a step backwards, clearly frightened and unsure if he had made the right call in stopping her.

From here she could see the same freckles as hers...the same silver in his eyes. The shape was more Reina's, like their father, along with that firm jawline and his brow. He was hers though...there could never be any denying it. They stared at one another for a long moment, neither moving, her barely breathing. "Y-you..." he muttered, staring up at her with wide eyes, filled with wonder, curiosity and fear "You...I, I know you. You're the woman aren't you....from the TV, from the news articles...?" He tilted his head at her, going to take a step forward as she took one back. "You're the lady from my dreams..."

"I'm no one," she said, shaking her head firmly "No one of consequence...I'm...just lost, just passing through." She waved a hand dismissively at him "You should go back to your friends, back to your lunch."

"But it IS you," He breathed, that eerily familiar narrowing of his eyes growing as he took another step towards her "Who are you...? I've asked the staff how I got here...they always say the same thing. Men in halloween masks...bull masks, they brought me here from Vice City. Since then as far as I can remember...I've had dreams, thoughts, feelings...I tried to look for anything that could lead me to where I came from and..." She paused for a long moment, looking around before sighing and kneeling, watching him approach her cautiously, reaching into a small satchel and pulling out a small wad and pile of paper. He handed them to her carefully, the woman in the fox mask gingerly taking them and sifting through them slowly.

It was the newspaper clippings...of the Vice City shootout, and more. Brief glimpses of her, news reports, and some more recent ones about the rising levels of violence in Los Santos. "You did your research..." she breathed, looking up at him after a moment. "But still," she said, shaking her head "I'm no one."

"N-no," He said, his voice wavering slightly as he tried to put on a brave face "M...my teacher tells me that everyone is someone to somebody...even me, and even you." Her heart softened slightly at his words. Such words spoken from an innocent youth...young, carefree, unburdened. Oh how she envied him. And to think...she was in his dreams. He had researched her. She had to have assumed that if he was her son...he would be resourceful like her, like her Aunt. He'd piece it together, somehow, someway. Though he probably only had scraps, barely anything to call a lead.

"Wise words....hopeful ones," She said, slowly getting up "You ought to keep listening to that teacher of yours," He continued to stare at her, a sigh passing through the nose of her mask as she put a hand to her head and thought for a moment. A long minute passed before she huffed and pointed at him "Look kid... everyone questions where they come from...it's only natural. But...sometimes it's not important. The past is the past, and the present is now. Why don't you just...just live for the future, huh?"

"Because I think everyone should know where they come from..." He said, frowning at her "And, and you being here, that's...that's like fate right?"

She scoffed, shaking her head "Fate is bullsh-....fate is nonsense kid, everyone makes their own destiny. Even if one's chosen for you, life will put the control back in your hands one way or another." She made to turn, pausing as she looked over him, sizing him up. His bottom lip quivered, a look in his eyes that could've destroyed worlds. Her heart was no exception as she let out a heavy sigh and growled "O...Ok, look. I...didn't really plan for things to go this way. I'm someone...sure, ok, but in the next couple of months I may not be someone anymore. Something is coming...and it's big. Even if I were to speak, what would it matter if things were going to change soon anyway?"

"Well...w-what's coming?" He asked, a tinge of fear in his voice.

She swallowed before quietly whispering a single word: "War." She looked past him, towards the orphanage and let out a small breath "But not just war....a shadow. A shadow has begun moving in the east...slowly making its way this way...and it is a destroyer of all things good and right." She looked towards him, staring him down. "I'll make you a deal," she said "I will return, in two months time. At that point I will tell you the truth." She held a shaking breath, trying to keep her breath under control as she went on "B-but....if I don't come back...you have to drop this research. The life you're looking for....the answers, the Bulls and Vice City....that's history kid. Focus on the now, on the opportunities you have. Family, a new life, anything...but if I disappear, theses leads must too."

He stared at her for a long, quiet moment, contemplating his options before finally nodding and muttering "Deal...," She nodded to him, and without  a word, turned on her heel and ventured back into the brush, back to the diner, to the bike, back on the road with no company but her own soft sobs and tears to keep her company. She was on the path straight back to war...one she was sure would be her last.

But for all the things to fight for now...she finally had something that went beyond just basic survival. She was fighting for her blood...her little one. Her whole life she had the truth withheld from her...this kid didn't deserve the same fate.

Come what may, the fox-mask clad woman was not going to be stopped. There was going to be no compassion to her enemies, no comforts given nor quarter...and no mercy.

One last war for Roja....for her son.

Mike Reyes

NQD8qn7.png

Mike Reyes was born into an English-Mexican family back in the United Kingdom. His mother being English and Father being Mexican, he has 2 brothers Frank & Conner.

Life wasn't easy for Mike back in the UK, during his teens whilst still at high school he was always getting himself in trouble, he hated school and found himself arrested a few times for silly crimes such as petty theft and burglary. He wasn't anything like his brothers, especially Conner. Conner was the complete opposite, a goody two shoes you could say, who wanted to be what Mike hates, a dirty marrano (Police Officer).

By the age of eighteen Mike found himself just getting by, working a shitty job delivering food for his local Indian run takeaway, it wasn't earning him anywhere near what he wanted to be making. By this time his brothers had moved out of the family house, Conner was on his way to becoming a Police Officer, Frank had himself a girlfriend and was living his life. Mike was jealous of what his brothers had going on in their lives and came to terms with reality quick and decided he needed to start earning some extra cash to make his life much better and get the things he wanted. One day he was playing video games online talking with a homie he met through the game about drug dealing, the guy he was speaking to asked him if he'd ever ordered off the dark web before. He had heard about the dark web but never really thought much of it, upon doing some research and how to get drugs ordered off there he started ordering Ecstasy pills from Amsterdam, the best ones money can buy due to them being so cheap on there and once they arrived successfully through the post he started dealing them to the teenagers in his area which was making him a decent bit of cash to say the least.

Months went by, Mike was still dealing and had earnt himself 10k in profit off the pills and things were looking good for him. He had been looking into moving to Los Santos to start fresh for a few weeks after hearing about the opportunities there for someone like him, he thought long and hard before deciding to commit to the move. Upon his visa getting accepted he was on the next flight to Los Santos with his bag filled with clothes and 7.1k in dollars.

Arrival: 11/06/2018

Upon arrival and getting transported by shuttle from Los Santos International Airport to the Bus Depot, Mike was greeted by a man who never disclosed his name in a blue car who said hello and asked him to hop in his car. It seemed rather sus but Mike hopped in anyways, the guy drove them round the corner into the parking lot of the Pillbox hospital. He offered Mike some weed, Mike declined but instead asked about buying a strap for protection because he had heard a lot about Los Santos. The guy gave Mike his number and said to text him later and he'll sort him one out. Later that day, the transaction was made. 4k cash in return for the Pistol.

Mike eased into the life of Los Santos, he had found himself a stable new job working at Go Postal delivering customers parcels. He progressed quickly there moving up the ranks earning a couple pay rises along the way. In no time he had gathered enough cash to purchase himself a basic vehicle a white Blista Compact. Within a few months of working and collecting his pay checks at Go Postal, he then treated himself to an upgraded Ocelot F620. He also bought his first 1G shitty house in what came to be known as "WCA Motel".

After working at Go Postal for a while he decided to quit. He'd had enough of waking up early, being told what to do and decided he wanted to be his own boss. Mike had come acquainted with numerous people through his short time in Los Santos who were also like minded people. One afternoon Mike planned his first store robbery with one of guys, they waited until it was night, they picked the store on Route 68, went in held the guy up behind the counter. What could have possibly gone wrong? Well half way through emptying the cash register a bunch of what Mike later found out to be Los Zetas pulled up on them had guns pointed at them and took all the cash from them and dipped all within a matter of seconds in their sports car. This was a learning lesson for Mike, he knew he needed so much more, such as a faster vehicle and better weapons.

By this point his hermano Frank Reyes had moved to Los Santos after splitting up with his girl, him and Mike got close once again and settled any issues from back home, they met a guy named Tyler Turner and they all become good friends. Helped each other out whenever one needed it and pretty much just lived life together, hittings the bars and clubs on a weekend. At one point the all split their cash and purchased a nice 3G together in Chumash but that was short lived as space was tight and people needed their own space. For months straight Mike went on his grind, working numerous jobs like lumberjacking in the day and transporting cash and servicing the ATM's at night, he was putting in the hours and slowly but surely it was paying off for him as he amassed a decent bit of legitimate wealth which allowed him to purchase new vehicles like a fully maxed out Novak, fully maxed out Massacro and a new luxury apartment.

Mike had heard from a couple people that they make their owns drugs at home so he decided to look back into the drug dealing and how to start manufacturing them home for himself. He required a ventilator and some specific drug making tables. He purchased a vent and a couple of tables from a random he met but he knew for the scale he wanted to produce on, 2 tables wasn't enough. Thankfully Mike had a met a connect with Frank at the bank that was now in Los Aztecas named Hugo. Mike shot Hugo a text about buying some tables with Frank, they both went up north to Paleto and purchased a couple tables each. That evening Mike spent hours upon hours installing the ventilator system and setting up the drug tables in the spare room before getting it fully operational.

7j6Yeq6.png

After researching online he learnt the recipe to make Cocaine. Mike decided to choose coke because it was the easiest to make and for the best profit. This was the start of a new routine for Mike, he sweeped the different drug labs up north with Frank daily collecting bags upon bags of marijuana plants aswell as robbing the odd person or two that would be there taking their .50 Pistols, then they would do a trip to Humane labs to purchase the other required ingredients. Mike then would put a batch of Cocaine on the go, head to the pier catch some fish whilst he waited for the batch to be done, he would then head back, weigh it out and bag it up then get another batch on the go. He perfected this routine with zero LEO attention, things were going as smooth as he hoped. Once he had a few hundred grams of coke he would go drop it off the various dealers in the city in exchange for thousands of dollars. Doing this he was making that much money in no time at all he had enough cash to purchase the Hakuchou Drag which enabled him to evade PD with no issue what so ever.

nedQd8d.png

Fast forward some months, Mike was still cooking drugs and doing his daily routine, his bank balance kept rising even more. He was financially stable at this point. He also started operating the toll booths on the bridge just before you enter into Paleto to pass time, meeting a bunch of new people as he did so. Although he didn't need the money from the tolls he took it anyways because who would say no to more money? He was making a decent amount per day alongside his Cocaine hustle.

ccOf0MF.png

Frank had joined Los Aztecas after Hugo recommended him. Hugo also told Mike to text Alicia about joining the familia and give him her number, but out of respect he didn't text her as he didn't want her to be thinking Hugo was just recommending a bunch of people. Mike spoke to Frank daily about what it's like being such apart of such an organized familia. Frank said nothing but good things about Los Aztecas and suggested Mike should try join them. Mike agreed it was time to join something that was well established, family like and not some unorganized mess, he knew his worth and what he had to offer, so he started to spend time on labs planting seeds with Frank and other vatos whenever they weren't busy taking out Murdablock and Dojin-Kai also letting every vato go free through the tolls.

After getting caught for chopping a vehicle one time, Mike spent some months inside prison thinking hard about what he actually wanted to do in the city, what his purpose was and he concluded he needed to be apart of something, as doing things alone wasn't fun no more. Upon finishing his sentence and finally getting released Mike straight away thought fuck it and sent a text to Alicia asking about joining the familia.

mNUZHRz.png

Weeks went by without a response wondering if he'd even hear back, he stayed patient which paid off as eventually one Saturday evening she text Mike telling him to go the HQ in Paleto and to bring water, food, a gun and to be there on time. Although he was chilling with some friends at the time, he responded immediately saying he'll be there. Mike was nervous as he travelled there, he arrived 5 mins early and waited by the main gate. Alicia then shouted from the roof telling him to go up to the roof, little did Mike know what was awaiting...

As he approached the rooftop, he was greeted by a bunch of people he wasn't expecting at all, the whole familia was stood there in a neat line. They spent the next half an hour or so asking Mike a variety of questions. He tried his hardest to sell himself to them, hopefully telling them the things they want to hear. The time came, the final decision. Whether the vatos were going to let him become apart of their familia or not. As Mike stood nervously waiting whilst the vatos whispered to Alicia with their personal decision, he was expecting the worst and thinking of the embarrassment if they just straight up said no to him...  This wasn't to be the case as Alicia announced that everyone had agreed to give him a chance and thus handed him his mask and vato shirt, he put it on right away with a big smile. Alicia then cut her hand aswell as Mikes and sworn him in with a handshake. They was now family and Mike was apart of Los Aztecas. Mike showed his gratitude, thanked everyone and promised them he wouldn't let them down.

5aMeGYK.png

Mike adapted and settled in right away to his new life style and his new familia. He was back doing things with his hermano Frank, meeting a whole bunch of new people from other gangs, staying busy you could say. This was exactly what he was looking for, nothing more nothing less. His daily routine at the time consisted of daily conflict with what was known as "Ash's crew", collecting illegal shipments, intercepting opposing gangs shipments and making even more drugs using special materials only accessible by ordering from the laptop. Shit was going smoothly and Mike's bank account was rising with the amount of narcotics he was producing and selling to the dealers back in the city.

9l4hAJo.png

A month or so went by with normality until one day the vatos were told that they was going to be moving south into the city into the Cypress Flats area, this was a new experience for everyone and rather unexpected, how would they deal with the consent PD attention? Steel just around the corner at any given minute ready to find anything he can to arrest them. The vatos had a few new tasks that were expected of them. They had to take control of areas within the city to please the cartel to be able to continue getting their illegal firearms imports from them. They had to maintain 2 brand new chopshops and sell a bunch of drugs to the local fiends in areas by their new HQ. Mike worked night and day chopping vehicles and selling drugs he cooked or selling on behalf of others even helping his allies at the time Los Santos Triads hit some stores for their money launderers, which in turn he was rewarded for by getting a promotion within the familia becoming a Guerilla.

fSr22jK.png

Los Aztecas continued to maintain a strong presence within the city continuously making the cartel happy. Things started to get quiet, there was no conflict. So Mike and all the other vatos used this quiet time to buff their personal stashes, getting imports all day every day with large amounts of ammunition and heavy firearms. Mike built his personal stash up very nicely to say the least gathering himself thousands of bullets and bags upon bags of heavy weaponry all locked inside code protected safe's in his undisclosed stash house all ready for a rainy day. Mike's continued hard work for the familia didn't go unrecognized by high command as the familia held another promotions night, this time back up north in Paleto. Mike once again promoted moving from a Guerilla to a Soldado.

CL0mBkB.png

Weeks continued to go by when one day there was news that a bunch of Ash's crew had joined
Daichaed Gadai (Irish) including Ash himself which didn't sit well with a bunch of the vatos and high command. It was always in the mind of Mike that this newly formed friendship between Daichaed Gadai and Los Santos Triads could prove to be an issue in the near future. Over the following weeks there were little issues arising and tension slowly but surely building up between Los AztecasDaichaed Gadai and Los Santos Triads as the latter two groups continued to be in conflict together against GD, LFM and More Blood. There were a couple incidents involving Daichaed Gadai despite their high command being warned if it carried on there would be consequences and well ultimately it was decided by "El J'efe" that Los Aztecas would be hitting them up north and at labs after they decided to not listen to what was said. Everyone was under the impression that Los Santos Triads weren't going to be interfering with this conflict until one day at Del Perro Beach the Los Santos Triads attempted to assist a Daichaed Gadai member escape from them which resulted in a few dead Irish and Triad members and the start of something the rest of city didn't expect to see...

Ujk07S4.png

Since then the real conflict has only really just begun Los AztecasGD, LFM and More Blood vs Daichaed Gadai and Los Santos Triads. Mike is involved everyday defending his familia and allies. He is ready for whatever happens, he would go broke for the people that put trust in him and give him a chance. Whatever happens though it will always be...

Loyalty is key

If you know Dan you'd know he has a distinctive English accent, but his heart is in Mexico with his newfound Family. Back in the Uk London to be exact Dan was working a simple Legal job making ends meet as life in London is not easy as in any big capital city. Dan tried to keep things clean, but he met the wrong people at the wrong time in his life making him to drug runs in his Vauxhall Corsa but that all caught up with him when his close friend Sonny got unintentionally caught up in beef that wasn't his Sonny was walking home from work one day. A group of 5 to 6 kids jumped him and stabbed him to death right outside his flats all because Dan didn't deliver the drugs on time and that grew on Dan it wore him down to the point he had to leave his home country and try something completely different.

So Dan turns up in Los Santos. With nothing but his Airforce ones and a toothbrush trying to find a place in this mad city wouldn't be easy, but Dan had to motivation to try to be somewhat successful. After a few months of just being a hooligan and committing petty crimes, Dan wanted to be more and wanted to be known as more in his numerous trips to DOC Dan had met fellow criminals like himself who have mentioned the Los Zetas, so Dan went away and contacted Mr Bands himself Jay Gamble about a possible shot in his notorious Gang.

b70c9b03d9b7f6c2eca7658f87abf3ee.jpg

The rest was history Dan had indeed met friends wait not friends but Family for life, Dan spent almost 6-7 Months in Los zetas learning from the best and crafting his skills becoming slicker in operations and damn right having a good time with good people who he would die for still to this day.

Stranger_2920_8409-1554410416439.png

But all good things must end Dan had a falling out with some of the higher-ups, and it crushed him he lost his Family and his friends, and on top of this, he had to return to London because of a loss in his blood family. No longer than five months later Dan had returned to Los Santos with something to prove he met a guy with goggles on named Jonathan Anderson. The latter explained how great and powerful the Aztecas were and how they preach Family comes first, which Dan was interested in hearing as its all he has ever wanted, so Jon set up a meet with Alicia. The latter, Dan knew vaguely but never had a conversation. Dan was super nervous, meeting the most powerful woman in Los Santos, but he had never met a more accepting and welcoming person to date. Dan had nerves, but they all went away when Cheapo needed a leak, so chose a tree in the church.

Dan struggled at the start being five months away from crime wasn't easy, and he began to feel like he was useless and wasn't much of a help anymore the criminal world had evolved, and he hadn't gone with it.
So Dan decided to try and live the legal lifestyle of Los Santos and to see what that had in store, so he applied for Bayview and climbed the ranks to Assistant supervisor Alicia was upset but understanding of Dan's decision, and there was no bad blood.

 Stranger_2920_8409-1598297060542.png

No longer than three months later Someone had approached Dan for information on a high ranking Azteca and this offended Dan almost as if he had gone soft, so he told Alicia of the situation fast forward a few months and Dan had enough of staring at a mountain and hearing about all the action going on in the city so spoke to his close friends Gabriel and Gabriel told Dan to leave it to him, so he listened to Gabe and Gabe ran it past Alicia about the possibility of Dan returning to the big time.

Vato Racing Chronicles: And so it begins...

After a day full of fights and avoiding several "gang suppressions" with fellow Azteca's, the LSPD had the hots for Christmas as they saw his Paragon leaving the scene of a recent shoot out. Christmas knew it was time to hide the Paragon and lay low to let the heat die down. Laying low, Christmas took out his Elegy and ran into some old racing friends. Lets just say the whole "laying low" did not last long:

Rest, Relaxation & Recruitment

Over the course of the last couple of weeks, Aztecas took on a handful of recruits; most passed the initial phases and brought a breath of fresh air to the group. Others did not and were let go to find their new paths in life. Alicia’s phone never stops buzzing; requests for guns, offers of drugs, requests for the Church for services, someone asking for help, someone offering help, information and general chit chat. As she was reading through her unread messages she noticed a text from someone who she had not seen in a long time; Costa Black. Alicia had sold Costa his very first gun when he arrived in the city and had seen his progress from a young criminal, moving up to be a trial for Zetas, to unofficial recruiter for FSO. She was aware that he had previously tried out for Irish & Triads, but regardless, she had a lot of trust for him. When Azteca’s was becoming established he had reached out to join them at this time, but the timing just always seemed to be bad. She was surprised to see his message, she did not think he had been in the city so much lately and always remembered when he was a Niño within the city.

wJCdt0Y.png

Even with everything going on, recruitment is something that Alicia holds dear to her heart. No matter what she will make damn sure that anyone who is being brought into her familia and representing Aztecas is someone that can be trusted, loyal, respectful and most importantly an asset. Everyone has weaknesses but these are not something they should be ashamed of, but something that should be identified and worked on. Sometimes these are things that cannot be worked on alone, and require the support of a group. But without the individual knowing what the problem is, no one can help that.

She called him back and told him to come to the Church in Paleto. Under the eyes of the Holy Vato she would determine if now was the time after such a long wait. Alonzo Hernandez and Pablo Mendez accompanied her, as a High Command within a group as dominant and revered as Azteca’s there is always someone trying to take her down and her bodyguards are always kept close by.

UDK2okh.png

When he arrived she could sense his nervousness and attempted to put his mind at ease with some general chit chat. She introduced him to the other Vatos and informed them of why he was standing before them. Not one to be naive she had heard he had tried out for their rival groups and wasn’t going to take any chances and motioned to Alonzo to search him for wires. The Vato extensively searched him and his belongings ensuring there were no devices or wires on him and took his phone from his pocket handing it to her. She scrolled through the messages and watched his face at every step of the way. She could never be so sure. She fired question after question at him, not trying to catch him out but to make sure that if someone was coming into her Familia, she would be able to stand by the decision. She explained why she was giving him such a hard time and he was completely compliant and understanding. You can never be too careful in times of conflict. But at the back of her mind she knew, this was someone who loved Aztecas, and understood what it meant to be a true member of the Familia.

oDhgnGV.png

Hours passed and they continued to question and listen very closely to his words. She asked Alonzo and Philip if they had any concerns; neither had. As it had become very late in the city and most of the Vato’s were asleep she decided that along with her other Trial Lewis Guadalupe, she would host a proper event with the family to welcome them in.

Alicia had some business to attend to back home for a day and made a compromise with them - wearing a black and white shirt vato, with a gray variation of the skull mask they were renowned for. Until she completed the recruitment stages, he would not be putting on the gray vato shirt.

Lewis had been on trial for a few days at this point. Although things had started off rocky, she gave him some advice, telling him that others had already passed and to reach out to them for guidance. Jontae, Alonzo & Bobby had stepped up so much since their initial indoctrination with very little guidance. She had received nothing but amazing reports from the Vatos about their performance and from what she had seen with her own eyes they were truly representing Azteca’s in a way she could be proud of.

Every group has different expectations of what “successful” looks like. To Azteca’s it wasn’t about how aggressive they could be - they were already the most powerful group they didn’t need to wave it around. It wasn’t how many bodies they could lay out - they had already laid most of their enemies to waste. It wasn’t about how flashy their cars are any materialistic worth. It was respect, loyalty, trust and development, not just to her, but to the rest of the High Command and their allies. Friends are the Familia you choose for yourself and she will always have the utmost respect for those who show respect. That is how you earn it, and only with time.

Their motto is more than a nice phrase, their motto is their way of life. Mi Familia Sobre Todos. This city is cutthroat and nothing can prepare you for the world of politics that exists between the major groups that dominate the criminal underworld. No matter what, Alicia makes sure that relations, good or bad, are had.

When the conflicts between GD, LFM, Triads & Irish started, Aztecas did their damndest to stay out of it. Only when this conflict was brought into their home did they pick up arms. But they have never gone to beg anyone for help. Alicia held conversations with groups who rumours were circulating that Crimson Syndicate and East Side Ballas were being pulled into these fights.

She held many many conversations with the leader of Crimson. She questioned why he would choose to put his group in the firing line. Although the conversation started somewhat defensive, it was made clear why. They were being blackmailed. The owner of their building was a Triad, and brother of an ex High Command in Crimson. He was charging them low rent and using the property as a mean to ensure their involvement in the conflict. They wanted to use them as glorified meat shields. Horrified at the lack of respect for human life, Alicia went into overtime, trying to help find a solution to the problem. No one should be forced to put their Familia’s life on the line for something they have no involvement. Her heart ached for him hearing this. She had heard rumours that the Sakamoto’s had returned to the city. Aztecas have had a long and difficult journey with both Jake & James. They had fought against them on many occasions. But they had something that could help. They had keys to the Koi directly across the road from the current Crimson HQ of La Spada. No one should have something like their home held over their head. Alicia & Tony took John aside and listened to everything he had to say. Not having good relations with the Sakamoto’s she contacted Mike Laurie and requested his assistance. While they stood together on the roof of Koi she smirked. Mike noticed and asked her what was funny; “Crazy to think just a few short months ago I could never imagine working with you, or standing in this place in a peaceful way”.

Mike laughed, “Your telling me”.

nqU7Bq6.png

But now was not the time for egos, business is business no matter what. This was an act of kindness and support that she could show towards Crimson. They deserved a break after everything that had happened. A deal was brokered and Crimson could finally break the ties that were being held over their heads by the Triads while ensuring that they didn’t have to leave their home area. Moving some boxes across the road would be nothing, but peace of mind would be everything. They would not need to be dragged into a fight that was not theirs to be had and could stand up for what is right. This was a no strings attached deal, they were not looking for any more allies, they were not looking for anything - they wanted to make sure that the grip being held on this group was not something that would continue. Steps were being made in the right direction. The Leader of La Familia Michoacana dropped down to hear the information and discuss future relations. LFM were a proven organisation within the city. They had grown incredibly close and the respect Aztecas had towards their Mexican brothers and sisters was only akin to that of Gangster Disciples.

3PqeTPa.png

More Bloods were someone that Aztecas had a very troubled past with. They had already been in conflict with East Side Ballas over the use of the colour purple. Alicia had heard rumours that members of the ESB were joining in on fights with Irish & Triads and wanted to substantiate these claims. Her trusted Capitan Tony drove her to meet with Walter Melon, the leader of ESB to find out if this was true. She never received a direct answer from him, but was merely being told “we are being backed into a corner”. Alicia pleaded with Walter to not join a fight that is not theirs to fight, not to join sides but to use the time selfishly while their conflict was going on to grow, expand and become a much stronger group. The conflict between ESB & More Bloods was expected, no group should ever just roll over and take disrespect. She offered mediation but was declined at every offer by Walter, it would seem HE was hell bent on being dragged into the conflict with no possible outcome. She could only offer advice, she could not force him to follow it and in sheer frustration got into the back of the Kamacho and said “Drive”. There was no reasoning. More Bloods had become a force to be reckoned with and had a clear drive to make up for their previous mistakes. While Alicia & Kane had been in prison many months ago, no one would have ever thought they would be standing alongside one another. They proved loyalty and showed nothing but respect, clearly wanting to make up for any previously poor relationships. Again, with a love for the underdogs of the city, Azteca’s wanted to see what they were worth, and they had proven themselves. Things change and relationships grow and develop.

When Stephen from the Irish group got wind that the Sakamoto’s were working with LFM and supporting them, he sent Alicia a text. It would appear their sense of morality had become high and mighty. Something that Alicia never understood was they never once questioned what it would take to end the conflict from their side. They tried to spread rumours that Aztecas wanted the Irish to disband. This couldn’t be further from the truth. But until they take the time to find it out, they will never know. Alicia wondered would they ever take that step but it would seem discussion for them had clearly gone out the window. It was sad to see. Criminal organisations are the most important part of this city, whether or not you can see it. They are what drive the economy. They are the nighttime souls of this world.

Costa & Lewis had been wearing their trial shirts and proving their place in the group. When Alicia came into the city, she heard that SWAT had been attempting to arrest her allies, and a large gun fight initiated by their rivals had been won so spirits were high and low across the board. She called out on the radio and requested all the Azteca’s to make their way to the Church in Paleto. The time had come to progress them to the final stage of becoming a full member. All the Vato’s who were not arrested or in the middle of something important arrived to the Church. She first began by asking them for updates on the recent events and ensured she was up to date on the happenings. She stood Lewis & Costa in front of them and asked them the same two questions she has asked every new recruit into the Familia.

tmjkQLZ.png

Suddenly, a back up call - demands were being given and radio discussions of an ambush filled her ears. Without a moment's hesitation she ran outside opening the gates and watched her loyal vatos go to protect the Familia they had chosen to stand beside them. Alicia went up to the roof of the Church with one of her many protectors, Buk Lee, and said a prayer to Santa Muerte to watch over them, wishing for each to return home safely.

The setup never happened and once the situation was resolved, they all returned home in one piece. They saw Alicia on the roof and joined her. The mood was high and everyone was in good spirits. She dropped bottles of Tequila for her Vatos and Arabella began to play some music.

The radio had gone quite quiet at this point, and knowing that they had not had some time to relax in a long time she said “This is an open invitation for anyone to come chill with us in the Church in Paleto, only one requirement, bring a bottle of Tequila”.

jS8Oseo.png

What happened from here was something she never expected. Every single person on that radio descended on the Church, a sight she had not seen in a long time. They all joined her on the roof of the Church until she worried it would not hold them any more and took the party into the Church Yard.

DS6zgBQ.png

Music, Dancing, Drinking and Laughter was heard around Paleto once more. They revelled in this moment. An orange Bifta pulled into the Yard and a few people began to look towards it. It was a member of the Irish, Roland. Unsure if he was trying to provoke them or was sad to see them having so much fun knowing that he was unable to join in, they did not pay too much heed but stayed on high alert in case an attack was brought their way.

FKtdRpy.png

At one point she counted almost 67 people - friends brought friends and even some non-criminals made their way over. A party is a party after all. Church is a place Alicia will never turn someone away from, even people she considered to be enemies and it had been a while since they had brought the light of the Holy Vato into people’s hearts.

The Sheriff's Department made a brief visitation, with one of the newer members of SD not knowing this was a private establishment, but Deputy Jason Wild, always the gentleman, showed that not all cops are bad. He asked her “So are you guys coming back to Paleto?”. Alicia was not in the mood for dealing with the federales in the middle of this celebration and snapped back “You wanna know the truth as to why we are here? Because we just need a moment's peace from the Policia in the City and Church is Sacred”. He smiled and walked back to his cruiser. She felt bad for snapping at him and thought to herself, “they are not all bad”.

She pulled out her Tornado Lowrider and placed it in the middle of the yard, allowing everyone an opportunity to bounce the hydraulics on her “Chica”.

The time had come to finalise the recruitment for Lewis and Costa. She called them both forward and with her knife in hand began the ritual that she had now done 47 times. In front of everyone, she took their hands and held the knife against their palms watching their faces closely. She told them this was a commitment from them, “to be loyal, show respect and at times will be required to bleed for this Familia and our Friends that surround us”. Dray from GD was standing next to her as she spoke these words and quietly said “You remember that every day in this city”. She smiled to herself. She released their hands and cleaned the knife again, this time holding it against her own palm - “but you will not be expected to do this alone, you will have the support love and respect from every Vato in Aztecas as well as the familia you see standing around you". Drops of blood left her hand and she reached forward to each of them to shake their hands. The Gray Vato shirt was handed to them and the Blue Skull mask. They had finally made it.

After a brief conversation with the Queen of Los Santos Kelly Gamble, she opened the doors of the Church and allowed people a chance to look inside. Some had never even seen the Church before.

brwec0x.png

Everyone treated it with such respect, removing their masks and dropping to their knees to pay their respects. Members of LFM, MB, The Firm, GD and Alicia herself made speeches, said prayers and showed homage to the Holy Vato. You could hear a pin drop as each person said their piece.

Once the prayers were done, the music kicked back off and everyone danced long into the night.

After a long night, and now becoming a little bit hungover, Alicia set about cleaning up the yard of the leftovers from the party.

She parked up the cars, picked up the bottles and stood looking up at the beautiful Church. Oh how things had changed, but in her heart she knew that they were the same. People will come and go, conflicts will start and pass, but her Familia will always be with her.

Feliz Día de los Muertos

Día de los Muertos, an important festival in Azteca’s culture, the Day of the Dead, was fast approaching and the Vatos were very excited for this day of celebration of life and death, but more importantly the festivities that would ensue! Celebrating life and death is very important to the Azeteca’s traditions and culture, bringing these wonderful traditions from their hometowns in Mexico up to Los Santos. Sure, the theme is death, but the point is to demonstrate love and respect for deceased family members. In towns and cities throughout Mexico, revelers don funky makeup and costumes, hold parades and parties, sing and dance, and make offerings to lost loved ones.

Alicia spent a lot of time checking out venues and trying to ensure that she had people to work the various stations that she had planned for the festival. There was to be a venue, security, food, music, dancing, face painting, pinatas, lowriders, invitations to plan, and that was just to start!

Feeling slightly overwhelmed she reached out to Charlie Lau from FSO. On letting her know of this event Charlie’s eyes lit up!

“Did you know China’s Ghost Festival is fast approaching too?”

Alicia had never known that anyone else celebrated their dead in the same way and was so happy to be educated on the various cultures and traditions the gangs brought to the city. Chi, ever helpful, offered her help and they agreed this would be a perfect opportunity to work together and make a special festival in line with the Halloween Festivities that were occurring throughout the city. Not even the atrocious weather could hold them back.

Chi brought some of her FSO group to the Azteca’s HQ and let Alicia know they had sourced a venue! An outdoor carpark, close to the beach! It was perfect. Chris Kellerman knew the owner of the club personally and was able to reach out and secure the booking for the use of the area.

Things were finally fitting into place. A beautiful invitation was crafted and handed out to save the date!

Days of work ensued, Chi & Alicia worked tirelessly to prepare the event. Chris’s ads ran through Weasel lit up their phones with notifications until the day had arrived and a single gray skull appeared on everyone’s GPS. Alicia was ecstatic.

The day arrived and Alicia could barely contain her excitement, reminding everyone on the radio multiple times! Surely they will be getting annoyed with her they thought, but every single person, even people she thought would not be interested in the slightest made huge efforts spending much time in clothes stores trying to find the perfect outfit, pulling out their fanciest cars, offering help and assistance, asking for opinions on masks and clothes.

Alicia & Chris arrived to the event area very early and planned out where each station would be located. Once they had planned out where everything would be, they got to work pulling out the speakers from storage and setting up the DJ area for the music, dragging the tables across the yard and making sure they were sturdy. Angelo arrived a few moments later and he dragged out the BBQ from the back of the nightclub, got the coals and eventually a beautiful smoky smell filled the carpark. He prepared the chicken and meats and got everything ready for the guests they expected to arrive. While Angelo was preparing the feast for the fiesta, Alicia sat on the ground carefully crafting Pinatas full of chocolates and candies for the Ninos who would arrive later that day. Each one was made with love and care. While they waited a passer by came in and offered some music to help them pass the time! Suddenly Buk Lee arrived in a Taco Truck and set to work setting up the station where he would hand out the food that was painstakingly prepared by Angelo.

With a couple of hours to go, Alicia looked around the yard and grew nervous. What if nobody came. Angelo smiled at her and could sense her nervousness. He brought her over to the Shrine that he had carefully created from flowers and candles where they would be able to stick their messages. She was reminded what this event was for - those who she loved. Who cares who came or not, this was for all those Mexicanos, Chinese & people of Los Santos who wanted to celebrate life and death for those they loved.

She heard the deep roar of the lowriders and looked over to see the Vato’s arriving in their droves in their coveted formal cars. She smiled widely. Their DJ Arabella Guadalupe took the center stage and soon the carpark was filled with music, flicking between Hispanic and Asian influence there was an amazing vibe! More and more people began arriving, the dancing had already started and the Green, White & Red headlights of the Vato’s cars shone brightly on the walls in front of the venue. Things couldn’t look more perfect. The smell of beautifully cooked food filled their noses and the orders began flying! Groups of criminals and groups of civilians made their way to the celebrations, no one caring today about status. Today was a celebration that no one, not even the federales would hinder. (Credit to the Policia for allowing us this party uninterrupted!)

Alicia began to setup her station, pulling from her bag an array of sponges, small and wide brushes and a wide variety of face paints and soon a queue of people were waiting at her station for her to paint on the beautiful Calavera Skull that was renowned for this day. She carefully dabbed the colours on their faces and gently painted swirls, decorative lines, dark eyes and skull faces on the people queued at her station. To the left Chi and the rest of FSO had setup a Fortune Cookie station, people excitedly went to the table to have their fortune given to them in a delicious cookie. Many read out their fortunes, some giggled and some went to the lottery.

After many hours of dancing and partying Charlie announced the Lantern ceremony was about to take place. Everybody began to make their way to the beach where Ling and the rest of the FSO team had setup the lanterns for people to take. People took their lantern and began to write their notes to loved ones who had passed. Placing the notes carefully in the small boats they had prepared they lit them on fire and sent them out in the rough water. It was emotional for some, but people celebrated and smiled remembering those who had passed. Soon the sea was full of lights in an amazing ceremony. A deep grumble of thunder passed over the celebrations and an astounding flash of lightening signalled that everyone should start to move away from the rising tide, as the lanterns were swept out to sea.

A huge thank you to everyone who attended and made this event possible, without the Vatos of Aztecas & their familia and friends, members of FSO and City Officials this could not have been possible.

Alonzo Hernandez

Alonzo Hernandez was born in Mexico and grew up in a life of poverty. His parents never had much money but they did anything they possibly could to put food on the table and keep the lights on. Alonzo knew the countless struggles his parents would go through on a daily basis to keep him happy despite them trying to hide it from him. Being an only child, Alonzo was often alone while his parents worked long days and nights, but he made the best of it. Despite his misfortunes, Alonzo always kept a positive attitude to life and kept a smile on his face even through the toughest of times. From a very young age, he was always taught the importance of familia and no matter what would happen; they would support one another and get through any situation together.

One regular evening, his father burst into the house with a big smile on his face telling his familia of a big job opportunity he had received after many months of hard work within the company he was currently employed. He explained that a long time employee had suddenly retired and there was now a job opening that was offered to him along with a nice signing bonus in recognition of his dedication and everything he had accomplished thus far. This was huge news as this would mean they would finally have a chance of being financially stable. The only catch was, the position was located in a different country within a city called Los Santos far away from the barrio they resided and that they must move within the next couple days. Once hearing this, Alonzo's mother immediately became reluctant saying how this would mean losing everything they currently held dear, all the memories and the relationships they had built throughout the years. Moving to a completely new city where they knew nothing and no-one in such a short time was not something to be taken lightly. After a long discussion that lasted throughout the night, they had finally decided that they would be willing to accept the offer.

The next day, Alonzo and his parents gathered what little they had then packing their bags and giving away what they couldn't take with them to the nearby shelter in order to help others who were also in need. Looking back once last time at where they had lived for so long and giving out a loud sigh; they would head out at last to the airport. Several hours would pass and they would finally fly over the city of Los Santos, the place they would be calling home from now on.

1854957665_ImageTemplate(5).thumb.png.f6d2587ae3b656d6e246dd55983571a4.png

Once they had landed and reclaimed their luggage, Alonzo's father got a call from his employer stating that there was a driver awaiting them at the entrance of the airport and that he would be taking them to a hotel room that was prepared for them to temporarily reside in until they could get a place of their own. This was all surreal for Alonzo and his parents as before they could have only dreamed of being able to experience anything as luxurious as this. They met up with the driver and they proceeded to drive to the hotel to start their brand new lives. Everything was looking up for them until suddenly, tragedy struck. A drunk truck driver had lost control of his vehicle and swerved out his lane rigorously smashing into their taxi. The last thing Alonzo could remember were the faint sound of sirens approaching him before eventually passing out.

Alonzo would wake up the next morning in a hospital bed within the emergency room. Attached to him would be an IV drip and an oxygen mask. After some time, the doctors would enter his room and talked to him about the accident that had happened the prior night and stated that he was lucky to be alive. After a long pause, the doctors also explained that everyone else in the taxi had been killed except for him. Alonzo remained motionless in disbelief at what he was hearing. "Stop playing with me doctor, you know that isn't a funny jo..." Alonzo tried to say before passing out once again. Unfortunately, this was anything but a joke. Alonzo would remain in a coma for the next couple days before eventually waking up again then being discharged from the hospital. Ever since waking up, Alonzo had not said a single word and retained a blank expression the entire time. He would roam the streets aimlessly and was all but ready to die. Alonzo was extremely depressed for some time and would resort to petty crime in order to get by. Throughout this time, the only thing that was kept him going were the happy memories he had of his parents and the fact they told him never to give up even in the darkest of times. As the days went by, Alonzo met many people out in the streets, many of whom were orphans just like him. Seeing them working together in order to survive and the laughter they shared while doing it was something that gave Alonzo hope.

Having been out on the streets for quite some time now, Alonzo slowly started paying more attention to the various groups he met while he was exploring the many barrios of Los Santos. There was one group in particular struck out to him the most. They were wearing grey and black plaid shirts with blue skull masks. While in the streets, he had heard rumors that they were a Mexican group and that they weren't just an ordinary group, they were the familia. Hearing this had given Alonzo goosebumps and he felt warm inside remembering his past. He would continue to see them every now and then and his admiration for what they were grew even more. After saving up some money, Alonzo finally managed to purchase his first car, a white Warrener to be able to better explore the city. Eventually, he approached one of their members and asked him who they were. The vato explained that they were "Los Aztecas" and told Alonzo a bit more about themselves. The conversation was cut short as the vato had to respond to something urgent but he told Alonzo about a location and invited him to stop by there later if he wanted to know more. Alonzo thought about it a lot that day and when it was nighttime, he decided that he would go visit.

1143488056_ImageTemplate(6).thumb.png.d176a240b7669120cf6d4e34585bd3fe.png

It was at that moment that he met his first friend [REDACTED] within the group. The vato asked Alonzo what he was doing there and Alonzo explained his previous encounters with them, the stories he had heard, and that if it would be possible for him to be able to join them. [REDACTED] told Alonzo that it would be a difficult path he would have to cross but it would not be impossible. With that, he gave Alonzo a number to contact in order to introduce himself and to explain about his interest in joining. He also told Alonzo to stop by the location periodically to introduce himself to the others and get his name out there. Alonzo listened and did just as [REDACTED] said. He got to meet a lot of the other vatos and he greatly enjoyed his time getting to talk to them all. After a few days, Alonzo suddenly got a message and he got a chance to meet "Miss Boss". She told Alonzo that she had heard about him and his intentions and explained to him the process he would have to go through in order to be welcomed into the familia. Alonzo listened carefully to all that she said and took it to heart. Over the next couple weeks, he followed the instructions he was given and tried to help in any way that he could. Occasionally he would be offered to join in a couple activities that were happening and he would excitedly take part in them. One morning, Alonzo would wake up with a text from "Miss Boss" telling him that his efforts hadn't gone unnoticed and asked him if he could join her later that day. Without hesitation, Alonzo said he could and went to where he was told. Once he arrived, much to his surprise, he not only saw "Miss Boss", but many of the other vatos, some which he recognized and some of which he did not. There were also four others there that were in the same position as Alonzo, eager to join the familia.

779668856_ImageTemplate(7).thumb.png.b88f97225c62b6208d4778e1a29b370c.png

All five of them stood in a line and introduced themselves to each other. A lengthy process then ensued where they had to answer some tough questions asked by "Miss Boss" in front of all the vatos while they discussed between themselves what they thought. Due to the nature of all the chaotic things that were happening in the city, the event was unfortunately cut short due to urgent calls the vatos were hearing over the radio. "Miss Boss" instructed the five to get strapped up and get ready to show what they could do for the next couple days in order to prove themselves.

Some time would pass, and one night much to Alonzo's surprise, [REDACTED] contacted Alonzo telling him that he wanted to speak to him. Alonzo met up with [REDACTED] and he told Alonzo that the familia had been proud of what he's shown and accomplished. He was handed the iconic Grey Vato shirt and the Blue Skull mask to wear. Overjoyed with happiness, Alonzo accepted and proudly put on his new outfit. [REDACTED] congratulated Alonzo and told him to meet up with "Miss Boss" at the church later as she needed to speak with him. Alonzo did just that and met up with "Miss Boss" at the church when she was ready along with two of the other new vatos who had also made it thus far.

836290461_ImageTemplate(10).thumb.png.ef3af2847513011fed9ce7f5a185f401.png

"Miss Boss" had a long discussion with the three new vatos and told them how proud she was of them. All three of them had big smiles on their faces and listened intently as she was speaking. She explained to them the values and importance of what being in the familia meant and what responsibilities they had as well. She said no matter the hardships they will be facing in the future, they would not have to face them alone and had the support of the entire familia at their back. This made Alonzo feel warm inside knowing that he was no longer alone like he had been ever since the passing of his parents. He knew had made the right choice and that there would be nowhere else that he would ever rather be. "Miss Boss", with knife in hand, then began the ritual she had been doing with each and every vato past and that night they had formed a bond that shall never be broken.

1972852270_ImageTemplate(11).thumb.png.5cd44a9b17f835b97660559f0566f036.png

No matter what awaits Alonzo in the future, there is something he will never forget and always keep dear to his heart...
