  1. This is pretty much all that needs to be changed, no HUGE development required here.
  2. Excuses. Step 1 - SD or PD go to SD or PD radio freq and advise them to jump into Joint Tac. (Plus you the the department radio chat option) Step 2 - Go to the frequency bind created in game for Joint Frequency Step 3 - Done. Whats the difference? Currently the only difference is step 2 where you go to teamspeak joint channel. Then when done you go back to the OOC channel.
  3. What about my suggestion, or cant you look past the metagaming comment? Plus, the reports are their, whether or not you or anyone wants to take a look is a choice. Admins and Staff can use team speak for what ever admin tasks they need, but keep PD/SD out of it. Simple. What me to take away and delete the metagaming claim as its controversial and people are focusing on this. I will dash it for comfort.
  4. Take it into what ever context you want, there are accepted reports in the archive section you can look at in regards to this.
  5. Who said its an "uncontrolled metagaming ring"? I simply said: "it facilitates (directly and indirectly) metagaming.".
  6. As examples, you can look at all the accepted past reports about metagaming warning given to users of teamspeak.
  7. In my opinion, Police Factions (PD and SD) should stop using teamspeak as it promotes NonRP/Unfair advantage and it promotes and facilitates (directly and indirectly) metagaming. Issue: 1) NonRP: The reason why teamspeak is used is because the ingame-radio frequencies can get congested and its easier to see who is speaking (and online) by using teamspeak. This is completely unrealistic and using teamspeak to for "ease" and "commodity" to bypass this is also unfair. 2) Unfair Advantage: PD/SD can see who is online, who is on joint frequency, exchange information and many other actions with the hopes that it is not used for metagaming. 3) Metagaming: Teamspeak is the main culprit for much of the metagaming issues with PD/SD. Besides what can and can not be said when on teamspeak OOC and IC, you can see may things like who is online and send messages across the platform while having conversations and exchanging IC information and skimming the lines between OOC/IC. If admins need to review and discuss information I think at this point Discord can be used. Solution: Stop using teamspeak and use the in game radio frequencies to manage joint frequency communications. PD/SD have already blocked in game frequencies that they use that can not be accessed by non-faction members. In this case, they can block a few more frequencies and use those as the joint frequencies. Then they can RP internally ways to manage the frequencies like they do with dispatchers in real life. This will also solve all the metagaming issues with using teamspeak and will create a more fair environment because at this point using it for "ease" and "commodity" is not acceptable.
  8. Have an in-depth conversation about the RP you want to do (which is possibly scripted) and the ensure it happens organically? How is this in any shape or form organic. Second, RP should be organic and it sometimes is improvised (mechanics of creativity) but this type of RP is not possible because you need prior approval, reviews, etc. And lastly you want to add more rules? In fact what we need is simplified rules, less staff approval and control over RP scenarios and enforce better RP standards (less and I do mean less /b /ooc in game).

Vato Racing Chronicles: And so it begins... After a day full of fights and avoiding several "gang suppressions" with fellow Azteca's, the LSPD had the hots for Christmas as they saw his Paragon leaving the scene of a recent shoot out. Christmas knew it was time to hide the Paragon and lay low to let the heat die down. Laying low, Christmas took out his Elegy and ran into some old racing friends. Lets just say the whole "laying low" did not last long: [VCR] - PT1 - Tattoo [VCR] - PT2 - Super @ Obs

A Christmas Story: Family Matters, amongst other shit Since joining the Aztecas, Christmas was still unsure and felt a bit uneasy rolling around with the vatos. The ways of the Familia and how they handled themselves required a bit of… “hands on experience”. In the past few days, besides clapping fools and rolling blunts, Christmas was out and about chillin with the vatos… First stop, lets clean up some of those sewer rats: Upon returning to the city Christmas met with a good friend Kon, a fellow LFM amigo, and discussed future plans up north and what can be accomplished if we put a bit of elbow grease and start planting: Later that night, the Familia got a call from the Cartel requesting some stores to be hit up North and bring back the money to earn some respect. Dushane and Angelo gathered the vatos and we headed up north: As the night past and dawn was about to break, we received a second call from the Cartel. This time, the Cartel was seeking something a bit more exotic… CARS. What type? All shapes and sizes. So the Familia took out their rusty but trusted lock picks and started boosting cars all night till the break of dawn: Just as everything seems to be going so good, *sniff* *sniff*, “do I smell… bacon?” A Christmas Story: to be continued...

A Christmas Story: Entering a new family After the complete fall and disbandment of the Shelby organization, Christmas was left with a big void within himself. Searching for a new beginning he went back to his roots… When Christmas first flew into Los Santos he met the Azteca’s, in his eyes they had an intimidating presence, and after living a few months in the city he had a few positive and negative encounters with them, but all in all he respected them. After speaking with a few members within the organization he felt that this “Familia” would feel like a good place for a new start. Christmas knew that Azteca’s had bad beef with the Shelby’s over past conflicts and this brought a lot of uncertainty on how the Familia would react to seeing an ex-Shelby trying to join their organization. To Christmas surprise, the Azteca’s were quite friendly and open to meet him at their church grounds. Christmas was invited by Alicia to meet several of the family members as well as other trusted individuals. During this time, without going into much detail, Christmas and several other potential members spoke about their past lives, transgressions, strengths, weaknesses and our future. For Christmas this brought him back memories when he went with his Abuelita to Sunday church and confess all your sins. Once finished at the church, we all proceeded to what the Azteca’s call their “training grounds”. Here you had to prove yourself through strength and strategy. Unfortunately for Christmas, he was outmatched by “Chey”… Nuff said. At the end of the training session the Azteca´s and trusted individuals went back to deliberate whether or not we had proven ourselves to take it to the next step. After a few minutes Christmas was notified, along with a the other potential members, that we have shown the best of ourselves and with a big smile in his face Christmas went to the clothing store and bought some fresh new gear… A Christmas Story: to be continued...

Changes Pt. 4 It is never an uneventful day in Los Santos, at least that's how it is for Christmas and the Shelby Family. One late night, while the family was regrouping back in HQ, the Cops followed Christmas and Charles unbeknownst to them. The Cops pulled automatic weapons and proceeded to detain both Christmas and Charles. The cops found some chopped up fingers in the bag Christmas had and proceeded to take him, Charles, Victor and Fez on multiple charges to DOC. During his time there Christmas started to reflect on the days events... The best part of being in DOC is being able to enjoy the fight scene in the basketball court during rec time... Once out of DOC it was back to business. It is safe to say that The Family has been busy working hard making money for the Treasury to invest in our Future Plans... Sometimes all we need are a few candy bars and some liquor, but today we were looking for Dead Presidents... Nevertheless, it is always safe to say that in Los Santos you will find all sorts of crazy... All in all, Christmas feels that a great Family bond is being built and foresees great things coming in the future for The Shelby Family... There have been many changes in the past few weeks, none match for what is yet to come...

Changes Pt. 3 Many things have changed for Christmas and the Shelby Family in the last few months. Not much time will be wasted on dwelling on the past and these changes, its comes a time when you need to start looking at the future. Sometimes a nice ride along the waves helps clear the mind... As much as you try to avoid trouble and clear your mind, some unfortunate events always seem to creep up, burn baby burn... Christmas has spent most of his time as a loan wolf, seeking to grow economically but also socially creating new Personal and Family ties to new groups in the city. Murdablock has proven to be a great personal and hopefully a Family ally... Later during the week, the Dojin-Kai and the Shelby Family participated in a joint operation in which the Shelbys delivered a High Value Target to the Dojin for some interrogation and other activities... Finally the night ended in the Pier fishing and having a good time with all the locals... And then drinks and good stories with The Family ...

Changes Pt. 2 “Maybe you who condemn me are in greater fear than I who am condemned.” The night was young and a group of ex-Shelbys / Ballers know as Jay and Russell approached Christmas and Liam stating that a group of Shelby Family Members attempted a robbery against Carlos and took down several of their men one hour earlier and warned that it could lead to war. Little did they know that both Liam and Christmas were well aware of the nights actions and knew that these guys were looking for confrontation with the family, they are well known trouble makers. Christmas did best to sympathize and let the men walk as the Family respects a neutral conversation.. Before leaving, Jay requested if he could get his shotgun back, but this weapon was well secured in Liam's boot. As daylight hit the Los Santos streets, Christmas got a call from Ding to come to his crib and chill with his crew... After a few shots and some great stories, Harry got so lit that we had to take him to seek medical attention as he started seeing dragons... The day continued and Christmas knew it was time to race, the Imponte Dukes (La Negra) is not made for racing, but we out there... The events of the previous mentioned race can not be mentioned as many deaths and unfortunate events followed. What Christmas knew is that he was lucky enough to still have his life and survive this race. A short prayer for thanks was due... As the sun was setting and the day was coming to a close, Christmas received a call from a friend. This call proved that the road of change was on full steam ahead, but with change comes opportunity and new beginnings... TO BE CONTINUED...

Changes Pt. 1 “Everyone thinks of changing the world, but no one thinks of changing himself.” There comes a time when times get tough and people start to depart and find their way. Gazing down those sunsets while fishing Christmas knew that things were about to change. The day first started with some news from Jamal Baraka in regards to his departure from the city while fishing, the irony in it... After hearing the news Christmas knew he will be one good Thug down, he knew he would need to rely on the rest of the Thugs to keep things moving forward. After a nice fishing session, it was time to head north and see how the tolls where running, and it seemed that scent of WAR was still in the air. The day then proceeded to a Family Meeting to go over the core values and future endeavours. Some guests also arrived after the meeting for some drinks and good music A.K.A Liam's bangers: And of course, some of the Thugs mixed drinks with illegal substances so the party went on through out the night.... Now that all the "fun" was consumed it was time to go back to work. It is all good fun and games, but sometimes you just need to put on your gas mask and hazmat suit and just go cook, Heisenberg Style. Cooking is one of the few specialties Christmas has using the powder milk to brilliantly cut the substance while keeping a good level of purity. Everyone once in a while Andrew would come in to see how things are going... When some down time is required from all the literally intoxicating fumes, you can always go out and fish a bit... When blood runs down the streets... There comes a day in Los Santos when there is a huge uprising that fills the streets with bodies, bullets and blood... The THREE B's Gangs and Police busy fighting a multi-sided war. So what is there to do for the rest? Lets keep it short and sweet: After a quick burger (in memory of Victor) the day started with a quick meeting to discuss how The Family will be working during these troubled times with all the danger lurking in the streets. After a great message by our leader Jack the rest of HC gave out a few comments and suggestions on how we should conduct ourselves as a Family in the streets. The suggestions were followed: "Go to a store and enjoy yourselves..." So the crew went to a store. Andrew took some gum and a bottle of whiskey, everyone else took as many dead presidents as they could hold. "Go get a car, a flashy car..." Some people take "flashy" too literal and just straight up take a Police Cruiser. "Go fish and enjoy the view ..." And boy what a great sunset. As the day came to a close Christmas got a call from Leo to go racing at observatory. So we all went up there to burn some rubber. Christmas got the opportunity to hop in with Sarah and her Nero. And oh boy did we go for a ride (Leo Jumped the gun as always)... You have to hold on tight and make sure you have your seat-belt on when Sarah is driving... The day ended with a promotion in the ranks for fellow Thug Ryan Ramirez who was moved up to Senior Thug and a quick visit to the new Mount Zion Hospital that opened in the city.

Memento Memories can be like flashbacks, eventful days that lead to nothing or casual days that shower you with misfortune. Christmas truly believes that the only thing he can do is remissness on the Ying & Yang of Los Santos. This particular day Christmas felt like paying a visit to LSPD and taunt the officers as his car was illegally toed near the Police Station, these cops feel like the own the streets. After getting his car out of the impound, Christmas decided to pay a visit to Ding Sum who is running the tools like a G. After a few hours holding it down, a few Triads stopped by to wait for the shift change, they were also kind enough to offer some security (LSSD always be lurking): After a good days work, Christmas got a call from the Family HC asking to meet back as we were about to meet some new explosive friends... Upon arrival, we met a great group of people who had a very peculiar color that Christmas has seen in town, maybe even heard of them referred to as the "Donut Gang" After talking to a few of the members and sharing some stories, it seems that the Explosive Enterprise have quite an entertaining and skillful set of people. This will definitely brew some interesting adventures.

"A Day in the Life of a Toll Booth Attendant" Waking up early morning, Jinga Ling (A.K.A Christmas) decided to take a nice drive up Great Ocean Highway. On his ride north, he came across the newly built toll both's where he applied as a toll both attendant and started working immediately that morning. On the other booth Christmas met Mr. Ding Sum, not much can be said about his origins but it would appear he is a mix of Asian and Islander, very peculiar accent. Upon having a very insightful and comical chat, Mr. Sum stated that he had been working close to a 24h shift and claimed to have seen a military tank drive past the toll that night (seems things are cooking up in the city). While chatting a very cool individual approached named Tyrel. Ding was finishing his shift, and so he decided to let Tyrel take over the booth. While Christmas and Tyrel held fort, Ding went back in town with his friend Fez to buy a classy 1G Apartment in a very exclusive area in Los Santos. Ding and Fez came back to celebrate the purchase and brought us some food to keep us healthy and then some dancing ensued... During the night, Christmas and his newly found friends kept on grinding and the sexy dancing on-top of the booth continued to amaze all who pass through the toll. Now you may think working the toll both is boring... But this is Los Santos!!!
