Revert the changes to VOIP that disabled continual broadcasting (killing Music RP)

In the past (yesterday) you were able to set your VOIP to continually send by holding down N, opening the text box and then releasing N. this would have your voice broadcast even if you were tabbed out. As of yesterday, this seems to have been patched out.

What this means is that its now virtually impossible for DJ and musician RPers to actually do their thing. this isnt something you can fix with AHK or a bind because the moment you tab out VOIP now automatically cuts too.

Please review this asap. one of my characters entire agency revolves around being a DJ/Musician for hire and now they cant do that.

Hopefully this can be fixed/ work around found as musicians at events is pretty key to how a lot of events in the server are run!

+1 music and dj rp is already hard enough and adds a flavor to the city that a lot of people enjoy. I can't see any reason why this change shouldn't be reverted.

What is the reason that normal speakers cannot just be used to play the music? I know you have to queue up each song manually, but aside from that, what's the issue? I'm not disagreeing with the suggestion, just curious since I am not that familiar with the DJing space.

They're way too unreliable, also DJing isn't just playing a song.

I’d prefer an alternate solution than reverting a bug fix.

for example pressing P whilst holding N to talk could “lock” talking without pressing keys until either key is pressed again.

that way we won’t end up with voice accidentally being on, satisfying both people who do it intentionally and also those who do not do it intentionally.

When you DJ, you have song transitions. That's lost while you "queue" up another song. Couple the issue along with that songs may not always play for anyone entering the area, it's just more reliable for this style of RP to be consistent, which in this case is VOIP.

It's not about realism but about working with the current limitations of the system? Speakers are too inconsistent per the reasons I outlined, those coming into proximity. Currently the speakers are still inconsistent with queuing up songs, DJ's don't just have YouTube links that play from one song to the next. They generally have the songs on their PC and use that to transition.

You're thinking too much on relying on YouTube to do this, compared to those playing from their PC, which is what they do here.

I cannot speak for every DJ, but when i mix, its an actual mix. I have my DJ decks hooked into my computer on a Vcable imput which i then set as my default mic so GTA picks it up. its not just me picking songs, its live performance. Alot of work has gone into my setup and development of it and i am very proud of the RP that has come of it.

This is my AoE please take it from me a speaker rework would not work. moreover your ideas wouldnt work for other musicians, i know at least half a dozen guitarists/singers in the city who are having pain with this too.
