When you break server rules that result in punishments, including bans, this is not a reflection of a character, but the player. This would make no sense to "ban a character".

The issue with a lot of MD not clocking on is that we can go hours on end without a single call. Why are we going hours on end without a single call? Because people are trunking. So pushing the pay from $500 to $750 or even $1,000 isn't going to fix it. Also, the player who is being dropped off is also being charged a drop-off fee. Maybe removing this charge from the player is a move because it makes no sense that we can /heal a player with RP, but also if they get scriptly injured they are subject to RP + "medical" fees. It's kinda a weird mechanic going on here. That said, I am an advocate that there needs to be more to do as a Civ on this server. There used to be events going on left and right, and now the only consistent one is Out of Towners which just generally has the same bill of /anim dance (afk). There's been some good RP brought in, and ways to engage the audience more and more, but outside of DJ's there's really not much offered to legal civs. Some people have started businesses and just gave up because it didn't give anyone an instant gratification, no instant reward. I don't want to deviate off-topic here than I should, but basically the meta of the server has shifted a lot to a Pavlov's Dog conditioning.

You're welcomed and allowed to express concerns of situations, however this should be done in a meaningful and constructive way. A lot of the conversation which I was observing and not partaking in was anything but constructive. It turned into memes, shit posting, and once timeouts and bans were handed out, people started spamming the same messages over and over. Constant tossing of statements of "freedom of speech" being tossed around, yet the thing is, very little of the statements made were done in a way to promote constructive conversations. This is why we urge for discussions on the forums, as well having an open forum (Discord) just ends up with people turning something serious into a massive flame war. Then if you get one individual who pipes up with a potential opposing view, they get dog-piled on. Messages were being sent way too quickly, and any means of message cleanup would result in people flaming back "oppression" or making statements that we're "silencing the community" which further adds fuel to the fire. Personally, the timeouts handed out generally are covered under this rule specifically. Comments made to "rage bait" individuals, fueling an ember has multiple times over the last 5 months turned into a forest fire. Some of the messages and things shared in General were not added to promote a means of a solution, but instead to just paint the server in anything less than ideal. Keep in mind this, we are looking to retain current players, but also looking to bring in new players. A new player joins the server, and sees this flame-war. How does that help the situation at all? Toss aside things we can't control such as the roadmap, the development, existing bugs and instead focus on what we can, ourselves and how we portray our passion for this server. This would instantly turn away newer members to the community, or members looking to return to the community. This is not me saying I was the one who banned or timed people out, but instead an observation during this situation Saturday Night/Sunday morning (depending on your timezone).

@Harold Wilkins, I've moved this from the legal factions forum section to Discussions, as it was the best place I can think of. All you do is post your availability, and someone will reach out to you via Discord to setup the OOC interview part. Just need to be patient, especially with it being the holiday season.

Try turning down Ambient Occlusion or Post FX. Usually this resolves the issue

With the Enhanced update, R* now relies on the values from their GTA:O service. I think this would require manipulating the checks for it, and not entirely sure it's possible. This has been brought up to the devs as well as Senior's, so they will be looked into in due time. I agree that this needs to be addressed to match those using the Legacy version of the game.

If you can't respond to any member of this community respectfully, don't. There's no need to insult anyone. We have Snow Rules in place for fair balance, otherwise everyone would ignore it and drive around with sport tires year round. I come from an area where we get snow equal if not more than what the server portrays. I've driven on sport tires, and they perform terribly. When it gets colder, your tires get harder and stiffer. This causes them to lose grip and the ability to maintain traction. Snow tires are much softer and much easier to warm up, so they are able to maintain a grip through the snow. End all, we require snow tires, and this has been a thing for years. I do not see us changing this at all. Use Off-Road tires category and select one to add to your vehicle.
