Luckily, in FiveM some of the speed advantages are removed, like how FPS is tied to how quick and what your max speed is on a vehicle. Outside that, it's not a bad idea to look into some boosts, on whats doable and not out there.

The wheeling rule only takes place during a chase. If you're getting pulled over for wheeling, decide to not pull over and evade, then I'd urge to not wheelie any further during the pursuit. However, outside of pursuits or chases (from other crims), per our rules you're not allowed to wheelie.

So there are a lot of good points in this topic, and some good responses as well. I want to start with by saying this isn't a PD/SD issue for self-transporting, Does it happen? Yes, it has, however it's an in-character issue, and one that LSEMS High Command have been working with PD and SD's Command+ to resolve. However, I can't fault PD/SD for self-transporting injured patients or injured Officers/Deputies. The reason being is that this is where LSEMS fails; available units. During late nights, between midnight and 04:00am, you will be hard pressed to find Medics on shift. This is where LSEMS takes responsibility and cannot fault PD/SD. We need to look internally why people aren't clocking on during these times. We need to look into why people aren't applying to be a medic to fill in these time slots. The first answer to what I asked is for a bunch of reasons. I clocked on last night as the only unit for an hour. During that time I had 0 911 calls. Now was the server population low? Yes, but I being one out of the 50-60 people on the server, someone had to get hurt. Well, no one did, or if they did, they didn't call 911. Why didn't they call 911? Look back at my first paragraph; there's a pattern of units not around thus conditioning people that if they are playing during late night/early mornings on the server that you're not likely to get an EMS response to your 911 call. Next part is, well the vast majority of our 911 calls come from crims. LEO's will drop a panic and get help from their own units, and potentially MD after a department radio reach out. The rest of the community is statistically crim. Well, you fell down a mountain scouting a lab and you have a kit on you. Do you risk calling 911 and either the call gets intercepted by LEO, a medic who is a straight arrow and won't approach because its a "dangerous area", or will call for PD because they see a gun and that's illegal. So, you have the chance of turning an accident into a 50/50 risk of being arrested, or being saved. So what's the right option? Option 3 of course; sending text messages to your friend to come and trunk you. Less riskier, better chance of surviving with your kit, their friend doesn't need to abide by the rules of the road, so they can 240 on the wrong side of the highway to come and trunk you. To the second question I asked, why aren't people applying? Ignore the current dwindling numbers of people playing late at night as a reason because that's a horse beaten to death that we're all aware of. People aren't applying because of one reason; there's nothing to do. As I said earlier, we'll go hours without a 911 call. People aren't doing roadworker jobs anymore. I think in the last 2 months, I've seen a 911 scripted call for a roadworker scene about 5 times. So we sit in the Ambulance Bay, or drive around the city, sit at Legion Square, go to an event because people get silly when they know a medic is around. There's just nothing for us to do. We have divisions that people can be apart of; AMU, Fire and Rescue, Air and Rescue, Public Relations, Basic Life Support, and the last two RED/Field Training require applicants/EMR's. So, let's take AMU for example, as it is the only one I am qualified to discuss confidently. It's a bleeding division. It's a division that requires in-depth roleplay that furthers character development. As pointed out earlier, this is becoming something less and less these days. Even then, when we do get the rare individual who wants it, we don't have individuals in MD who are interested in doing this in-depth roleplay that often. Even those that are fall victim to player availability; people at work, or busy with real life or they're on-duty at LEO. When the argument comes up about how Black Doctors could be stealing from RP from MD, its possible. However, I looked within the last week, and there were only 268 instances of individuals going to the Black Doctor to get healed. This is not that much, honestly. Looking at stabilize, there were about 180 instances in the last week, and about 110 instances of cpr, give or take for those that mention the commands in OOC chat. Yes, Black Doctors being used are significantly more than /cpr or /stabilize, but at a basic level of context, 268 is not that detrimental to need a Medic. Outside of that, when people DO need or approach a medic for healing, the roleplay we get is "I need a painkiller" or "I need an ice-pack". Now, we cannot deny a player roleplay, but I do like to prompt players to a bit more roleplay by telling them I don't carry painkillers. So I get them to think a little more on their injury and try and give them a little bit more roleplay. However, I agree, MD needs more script support for medical roleplay, but the fact of the matter is, there are systems in place that completely negate needing MD. It's evident now, as MD can just exist as an MLO and people will still persist as normal. Sure those under NLR will increase, but people will still go on with their lives. All in all though, as MD exists as it is needs to be reflected upon internally before we can look to try and point fingers elsewhere. I do like getting public insight and views on the faction. I would like to know why people aren't calling for MD, what people thing MD is lacking to provide them in the server. What MD is doing wrong, and what you think we can do to improve.

10. Non-Roleplay (Non-RP) Non-Roleplay Non-Roleplay behavior is considered as actions that are unrealistic or promote poor quality roleplay. It's difficult to interpret or understand what good roleplay can be sometimes, and we aim to steer players in the direction we want them to go through our server rules. Players are welcome to speak to staff for guidance in regard to roleplay. Some examples (not exhaustive) of Non-RP: Doing wheelies on motorcycles in chases or in other situations where the speed grants an advantage over others. (The speed boost from doing wheelies in GTA 5 is unrealistic; thus, it's not allowed in situations where the speed is an advantage over others.) Leaning forward is fine. Current rules state why, and allowing this just against Law Enforcement makes zero sense. I highlighted specifically in the bullet point why.

When you break server rules that result in punishments, including bans, this is not a reflection of a character, but the player. This would make no sense to "ban a character".

Legal Services and it's role in overall server operations.
SquirtleSquad replied to Marksy's topic in Game Suggestions
The issue with a lot of MD not clocking on is that we can go hours on end without a single call. Why are we going hours on end without a single call? Because people are trunking. So pushing the pay from $500 to $750 or even $1,000 isn't going to fix it. Also, the player who is being dropped off is also being charged a drop-off fee. Maybe removing this charge from the player is a move because it makes no sense that we can /heal a player with RP, but also if they get scriptly injured they are subject to RP + "medical" fees. It's kinda a weird mechanic going on here. That said, I am an advocate that there needs to be more to do as a Civ on this server. There used to be events going on left and right, and now the only consistent one is Out of Towners which just generally has the same bill of /anim dance (afk). There's been some good RP brought in, and ways to engage the audience more and more, but outside of DJ's there's really not much offered to legal civs. Some people have started businesses and just gave up because it didn't give anyone an instant gratification, no instant reward. I don't want to deviate off-topic here than I should, but basically the meta of the server has shifted a lot to a Pavlov's Dog conditioning. -

You're welcomed and allowed to express concerns of situations, however this should be done in a meaningful and constructive way. A lot of the conversation which I was observing and not partaking in was anything but constructive. It turned into memes, shit posting, and once timeouts and bans were handed out, people started spamming the same messages over and over. Constant tossing of statements of "freedom of speech" being tossed around, yet the thing is, very little of the statements made were done in a way to promote constructive conversations. This is why we urge for discussions on the forums, as well having an open forum (Discord) just ends up with people turning something serious into a massive flame war. Then if you get one individual who pipes up with a potential opposing view, they get dog-piled on. Messages were being sent way too quickly, and any means of message cleanup would result in people flaming back "oppression" or making statements that we're "silencing the community" which further adds fuel to the fire. Personally, the timeouts handed out generally are covered under this rule specifically. Comments made to "rage bait" individuals, fueling an ember has multiple times over the last 5 months turned into a forest fire. Some of the messages and things shared in General were not added to promote a means of a solution, but instead to just paint the server in anything less than ideal. Keep in mind this, we are looking to retain current players, but also looking to bring in new players. A new player joins the server, and sees this flame-war. How does that help the situation at all? Toss aside things we can't control such as the roadmap, the development, existing bugs and instead focus on what we can, ourselves and how we portray our passion for this server. This would instantly turn away newer members to the community, or members looking to return to the community. This is not me saying I was the one who banned or timed people out, but instead an observation during this situation Saturday Night/Sunday morning (depending on your timezone).

@Harold Wilkins, I've moved this from the legal factions forum section to Discussions, as it was the best place I can think of. All you do is post your availability, and someone will reach out to you via Discord to setup the OOC interview part. Just need to be patient, especially with it being the holiday season.

Try turning down Ambient Occlusion or Post FX. Usually this resolves the issue

With the Enhanced update, R* now relies on the values from their GTA:O service. I think this would require manipulating the checks for it, and not entirely sure it's possible. This has been brought up to the devs as well as Senior's, so they will be looked into in due time. I agree that this needs to be addressed to match those using the Legacy version of the game.

If you can't respond to any member of this community respectfully, don't. There's no need to insult anyone. We have Snow Rules in place for fair balance, otherwise everyone would ignore it and drive around with sport tires year round. I come from an area where we get snow equal if not more than what the server portrays. I've driven on sport tires, and they perform terribly. When it gets colder, your tires get harder and stiffer. This causes them to lose grip and the ability to maintain traction. Snow tires are much softer and much easier to warm up, so they are able to maintain a grip through the snow. End all, we require snow tires, and this has been a thing for years. I do not see us changing this at all. Use Off-Road tires category and select one to add to your vehicle.

Just know that the snow tires that are in the Vehicle Mod Menu are not limited to just the one with chains. You can use the "Off-Road" tires category for them as well. It's just the ones with chains were added last year, and people dig their appearance. As long as you use an off-road tire, that'll count as snow tires.
