  1. Archiving this, please follow the directions as laid out in the comment above.
  2. You can. /fdo Test <br /> Line 2 /fdo Test<br />Line 2<br />Line3<br />Line 4
  3. You do realize that this is what Law Enforcement is supposed to do, right? Like you do understand what the faction is about? Fighting criminals of their criminal activities to restore peace and order to the city? What are they supposed to do otherwise? Walk old ladies across the street? Grab some popcorn, and sit back and play coroners? Just allow two gangs to beef at Legion Square, get into a shoot out, and stop passer bys saying "Sorry sir, please don't enter this area. We have people shooting each other. We can't get involved." Law Enforcement are a REACTIONARY faction. Sorry, but overall -1 to this idea, as this just turns the game into PD/SD/GSB/GOV as a "Boss" or "Mini-Boss" style enemy where their guns are the spoils to victors. It's not like when LEO's have to intervene in shoot outs that they go home with your depleted AP's, your drugs, your heavy's and whatever else is on your corpse.
  4. So the thing here is you're aiming to have this be an RP thing for LEO's to abide by, but what about for crims? With crim RP, it's a lot more fast paced than with LEO, who will be a bit more patient to handle waiting for a Discord PM with a screenshot. That said, it's going to just open up a mess of issues. I'd prefer it, as others have already said, this to be done via a script, but without that integration, I don't think /me tucks gun in waistband, /do it be hidden, /time will be sufficient for a lot more RP that you'll come into having a gun vs that with LEO's. That's just my 2 cents worth.
  5. I've tested both a stock and a maxed RSX, but sadly based on my findings, there was no difference. Granted there's no real way to even get up past 5-6th gear as the speed just slowly increases and there's not enough straight road to hit 240. That said, I do think that the 9 gears thing is an issue with the RSX, but as mentioned stock you won't get through the gears quick enough to get to that speed.
  6. I guess this ends up being a matter of opinion. with my "remove public labs" suggestion, a lot of people agreed that there is no roleplay happening at labs, so what roleplay is being disturbed? 99.99% of labs interaction is someone grinding money, and someone rolling labs to steal from people grinding money. I believe this to be a misunderstanding of the definition of roleplay. An instance of interactions is considered roleplay, thus interacting with players, whether being robbed, picking and/or cooking together is roleplay. Roleplay is not 2-dimensional for interpretation, and thus why the Server rules have a bit more of a grey area to them. It is also why each report is reviewed on a one-off basis, and rarely compared to another situation. Each one is dynamic and fluid, and individuals breaching things like FearRP, violating NLR, driving up the cliffs of Chili in their Comet Retro are viewed individually. Your statement of "remove public labs because no RP" statement isn't relevant to this situation as you are cherry picking my statement and applying it to merely a single situation. Your suggestion hinders that more of lower tier'd factions, or solo crims more than it does punishing higher tier'd gangs. I understand why you're making this suggestion, as Tier 4+ gangs are making refund requests when a lot of times the losses are seen as negligible, however, in the overall larger picture, this ends up hurting more of the community than it does helping them. Additionally, refunds are reviewed on a per-case basis, and regarding them from reports, if the situation voided due to the rule break is accepted, then the refund can be applied for. Per one of our bullet point guidelines "A forum report in which admins have deemed necessary that a player deserves to be refunded. A link to the concluded report must be provided in the refund request." However, this is all my opinion and not that of the entirety of the Staff.
  7. -1 If a player report is accepted, there are a lot of reasons that are taken into consideration regarding its acceptance. The reason for refunds is that the outcome of the roleplay was disturbed in a way in which the result caused said player(s) to lose out on assets they would have otherwise kept following the conclusion of the roleplay scenario. I don't see the need to deny (a) player(s) of their assets following the conclusion of what is an accepted and valid rule break.
  8. MD calls are red. It's only yellow if it's Law/Med. That said, I do agree, and +1 the ide, that differentiating backup/panic calls are nice. The panics currently look better with the red and white asterisks, That said, I don't think magenta/purple is ideal for medical
  9. +1 for this as it'd help the other medics. I've never used this command other than to show what it looks like for training.
  10. Thing is EMT's are not there to cure, they are there to treat, and stabilize for transport. MD is there to triage, not perform surgery. They're there to set bones that are broken, they are there to use transportable tools to slow, stop bleeding, and get the patient transported where a team of Emergency Room doctors will take care of them. If people want more RP following that, MD has Advanced Medical Unit (AMU) for surgeries, long-term physical care, checkups, etc. Stuff they can RP as a side-effect of their injury. They have Crisis Response Unit (CRU) which they can play into their RP of mental trauma. By leaving things up to a 50/50 chance can put someone at a very lucky time to die, and thus getting out of charges, or out of a situation they don't want to be in. Hell, they could be involved in 4 shoot outs in a gaming session, and come out ahead in each one when caught by LEO's, and thus no consequences for actions. What RP does that give to MD? All I'm seeing here is chances to rob MD of roleplay, indicating that the roleplay they are providing isn't sufficient, or someone determining the RP isn't sufficient to their needs. I again echo that there doesn't need to be a change to this.
  11. -1 We don't offer Death RP on this server. The way to use /stabilize, which was authorized by FM and MD High Command is that once we get a /do we can stabilize. This would be abused so much on scenes of shoot outs with LEO's and crims. The way it is now is working just fine, no need to change it.
  12. This has been removed from the NRP ruleset due to the fact that if you're going to be a goober, and bait a chase or a reaction from LEO, then your IC actions will face IC consequences. I think that this is a smart move, as this just adds a lot more of an IC consequence and risk to baiting police, but also, can be used in favor for crims as a diversion. I think keeping it as is, where it is not considered NRP is healthy for all on both sides.
  13. This is a terrible comparison. What is being suggested here is plain and simple something that is grounds for use to metagame, even if that impact of metagaming is small. You begin letting one thing slide to implement one thing, then you start getting requests for other little things that seem harmless. There is no reason that this needs to be implemented at all. There is no justification for this to be implemented and there's not been a single solid argument for this. Yes this is a video game, but we do add bits of realism and holds players to a good roleplay standard. That's why you're not allowed to stunt jump, that's why you're not allowed to treat a Law Enforcement Officer with a gun as if they won't shoot because they're here to serve and protect.
  14. It's not about a "social agreement" to not meta, it's that /fmembers is OOC about who is online on that character in your faction. There is not a way for you to in-game see who is in your gang outside of asking on frequency, or like in PD/SD using the MDC or /units to see who is on duty. The use of /fmembers to see who is online to use that to reach out would be metagaming. No, sending an ingame private message to see if someone is online is metagaming. You have a phone, call them or text them, you have a radio, call out of the radio for them. Don't use /pm to know if someone is online or not. This argument is akin to saying "You have a number over your head, so why can't I call you that number?" Fmembers is OOC, /pm is OOC, talking with an admin is OOC, OOC chat is OOC. There are a number of things in the game that is used to discuss out of game. This cannot be used in game, as this is mixing. All this said, adding something like this to the panel would be considered metagaming as it's mixing IC and OOC information to determine whether you want to log on to ECRP or log on to a specific character. I don't foresee this being added as it makes no sense, and there is zero justification for this addition.
  15. +1 Love this idea, and it's great to add some variety to events instead of always just having a burger, taco, submarine, fries, hotdog, sandwich, donut, chocolate, fish (which no one eats since it restores a small amount of hunger), and whatever animals you hunt.
  16. Having off-road tires on a Niobe does NOT mean it can go off-road on steep hills. I don't know where you got this from but this is inaccurate. They can go on dirt roads marked on the map, but NOT up or down steep hills through regular means of travel.
  17. -1 from me. We don't need a game suggestion for increasing the price of the Kamacho. It's a great off-road vehicle, but stalls easily, doesn't offer a ton of protection. Based on this logic we should increase the price of way more cars than this. Scout comes to mind since it's a very quick off-road vehicle, seats 4, tons of storage. I don't think we need to fuck with the economy even further. You can also buy the Kamacho with credits.
  18. +1 on the idea Side note, vehicles are sorted by purchase date, so the older cars appear on top, and newer on the bottom. Not sure if this helps anyone going forward but this is how they are sorted
  19. Locking as this is a duplicate of this post which was already locked
  20. Crims complained about jail times, so jail Times have been reduced at least 2 times since I've been on the server. Crims complained about nothing to do when in jail, so jobs to earn stamps were added to DOC so that there's something to do while in DOC. When you're out in the world, 24 hours license suspension which only prevents you from getting a car out of impound, but doesn't prevent you from scriptly driving around. Just IC consequences. I could see if it was affecting your ability to RP like DOC time would, sure, but otherwise just keep driving. You're going to continue doing crim shit, you're going to continue to break laws where you can get a license suspension. What's the difference? This has already been lowered once, lowering it more just completely makes the suspension moot and useless. This is all I'm saying on this.
  21. There wouldn't be RPly only two. You only see two in a pursuit due to IC protocols. Don't mix up protocols for what would be ICly. Same with Heli's.
  22. Just to clear something up, LEO baiting is no longer NRP. They are now seen as IC consequences for IC actions.
  23. -1 No need to lower the vehicle speed cap No, it's broken. Argue the tank size all you want, you can hit 240 with a passenger easily, and on almost all road surfaces. It's busted, and I own one.
  24. If they clock off because there is nothing to do, then decreasing the number of LEO's on duty for ATM robberies isn't the only solution. There are much more criminal activities that can be had outside of just ATM robberies. That is why I find the argument fully invalid. Again, as stated above, there are other criminal activities that can be done that do not have a LEO "On-Duty" requirement. I get that it appears ATM's are your go to for money, but there are still other things you can do that actually would give you more reward and requires no LEO's on duty. Well no, the counterpoint is not valid as to rob an ATM is a script thing, where as LEO's on duty is an IC thing. Server population doesn't correlate to script limitations. From around 02:00am to about 11:00am UTC the server population is low. Not everyone wants to play LEO's. Decrease the amount of LEO's on duty to steal ATM's, and now you just get those 3 - 4 LEO's who still can't do shit about stolen ATM's since they also have other calls to deal with. You state you're in SD, I was in PD for 22 months. You should know the different types of 911 calls that come on. "I was shot", "My car was stolen", "Some guy called me an idiot and hurt my feelings", scripted house robberies, impound calls, training, other faction duties depending on the division you're apart of. Couple all these together and those 3 - 4 units on duty suddenly prioritize what sort of RP they want. PD did a great job with recruitment for a specific timezone, and I applaud them taking that massive initiative in doing so, however for me I just fell off the RP. Past midnight UTC, I used to hate patrolling on PD because people would chain store robberies, and we'd never have sufficient units to patrol or catch up. For ME that's "Zzzzz" RP, as it involves me rolling up to a store, seeing it's empty, looking at CCTV, verifying it to a BOLO, then closing the call. That's solo-rp and not really that fun. Sure, if it's the same individuals you can start building patterns and such, but as mentioned above, you still have a ton of other duties and responsibilities to do. Not every individual in PD/SD are just Patrol Units. They have other obligations and responsibilities. Finally touching on the "IRL if there are no cops on duty..." claim, this isn't real life. This is a game, there's a give and take with aligning what we want for realism in the server and working with a video game. Yes, we like to be as realistic as possible, but there are cuts that have to be made.
