Only require checkups for flight school if the char has a condition

Players outside the factions have to deal with this rp as well, but feel free to close the topic if you all feel this is entirely the wrong place for it. -
Only require checkups for flight school if the char has a condition
Lynn Foster replied to Lynn Foster's topic in Archive
As expressed in my initial post, some of my issues with it cannot be expressed icly. Hence the suggestion here. -
I firmly believe we should go back to the previous system of only requiring a medical examination if a character has a medical condition that requires it. The character could sign a waiver saying "To the best of my knowledge I do not have any medical condition that would affect my ability to safely fly." I know it's kind of an IC thing, but this reasoning is ooc so suggesting it here. From the AMU side, so much of requests are for these exams. The rp is uninteresting. We are hounded on and off duty despite the procedures in place because not having the exam holds people up. In the year these exams have been implemented I have not once had a player rp anything but normal results because it's just a roadblock for them getting through FTS. When doing my rating for the swift my instructor could not find my profile because it was buried in his search because of all the exams. From the patient side it's a frustrating experience. We have a very limited number of doctors, so it can be hard to get people in quickly, which holds up their ability to progress with their training. So realistically yes it makes sense to have these checkups, but this is a game and this rp adds no fun or value for anyone involved.

Adding german shepherds would be nice as a general pet and also for the various K9 divisions. Could go in the regular shop or in the credit store I think it would be popular either way.

+1 would hopefully help prevent people from calling mechanics/taxis and MD or taking the injured themselves as they'd know MD is on duty. We get a lot of calls and then the person is moved 10 seconds later.

Simple idea, just allow previewing pets like you can for credit store ones so you can see what you're getting.

There's a big difference in the way that /drag works between LEOs and MD. MD you can /drag a person and place them in your vehicle and they are auto-undragged and stay in the vehicle if you exit. As an LEO the person will follow you in and out of the vehicle unless you undrag, which still takes them out of the vehicle. Additionally, if the injured person you are dragging is not cuffed, then they spawn under your vehicle when you drop them off and often get instantly reinjured. I just think it makes more sense to work the way it does for MD, icly and scriptly. Hopefully other LEO players will weigh in.

Add Shift+Click to quick move items between inventories.
Lynn Foster replied to Harley's topic in Implemented Suggestions
I like this idea except it's already ridiculously fast to take things from inventories that don't belong to you like trunks, glove boxes (care radios especially), injured people, bags. Would like to see a way to slow that down if this is implemented. -
Please put commands back, I dislike having to navigate menus. I can type a command without having to think or look, I can't do that with a menu.

Disagree, you don't just get up from being tazed able to run.

+1 A regular occurrence in medical rp was having to tell players how to toggle the effects off so they could respond to rp. This makes rp harder without adding real value to it imo.

Date and time (provide timezone): All Week/ EST Character name: Lynn Foster Issue/bug you are reporting: so didn't notice till today cause I don't check often, but if I look at my salary it shows no hours for MD and that I'm not clocked on or in uniform when I am. Have restarted the game and my pc multiple times this week and deleted clientdata. It seems my JB hours work just fine. Expected behavior: When I am clocked on and in uniform at MD I should be counted as such and accrue hours. Evidence, notes worth mentioning, steps to replicate:

+1 I like when things are easier and make more sense.

+1 would make communication so much easier, and notifications that you have missed messages or calls would be amazing

+1 I feel this in my soul....and my eardrums -
I don't think it falls under NLR, cause the player doesn't always die as has been pointed out, though I think having the 7 day period is a good idea in either case. Having a simple restriction on the ooc amount of time can account for things like injuries/psych holds that we don't rp and give us an easy way to say "hey you just made a suicide attempt, you need to wait a week before trying again, please see rule X" and there is no room for arguing about motivations or need for reports or evidence of poor rp. As I said I've had very rewarding rp exchanges involving suicidal characters, these are not the issue, I don't want the ability to rp suicidal behavior to be restricted, just the frequency. We do have some players who don't rp it as well, use themselves as hostages for demands, and/or leave pillbox to go threaten to jump off of something again. While a case can be made that this could violate other rules I think this solution is much clearer and simpler for everyone from the character trying the rp, to the medics, and even the mods/admins who would have to take any reports.
-
We get CRU calls for it, so fairly certain it's permitted. When well done, it is deep and rewarding RP and should be allowed in my opinion. Though as it could be considered taking yourself hostage, I think its frequency should be restricted.

Sorry I meant to put this under rules suggestions.
