As a humble journalist roleplayer completely outside from crim and LEO, I know my input has little weight but I think the current state of gangs adhering to lore is abysmal. This doesn't apply to all gangs, or even all members of some gangs. But as a whole, most gangs are generic ass mafia/druglord/shooters and those gangs that started out with really cool theme now have members not doing right accents, not dressing lore-friendly, not driving lore friendly cars, and/or not doing activities that fit their gang. We effectively have no real street-level block gangs as an example. Whether this is because gangs are forced to do xyz to maintain imports or whatever, I think it's an issue.

Improving LSEMS Roleplay / Server Attitude towards Medical Roleplay
Ash replied to lLizzyl's topic in Game Suggestions
I might be wrong or it might have changed but i thought PD/SD could only stabilize if there's only like 1 MD on shift? "Players must see members of EMS or NPC to heal." I agree with most of the points in this section, I said it back when i was LSEMS and i'll keep saying it, having LSEMS camping ambulance bay is BAD for the faction. All idling LSEMS should be in the lobby interacting with people who come in, with a vehicle spawnpoint right outside for calls. Even if people are self transporting to pillbox, /dropbody and the "press e to heal" NPC should only work if there's not a medic in the general vicinity of the pillbox lobby. But we know what the devs are like with updates, so let's assume the latter part is not implemented: Faction vehicle spawnpoints can be moved/placed by head admins. stick one at upper pillbox and force idling medics to linger in the lobby, you'll instantly see an uptick in roleplay if not just from people choosing to rp with you instead of the $3k payment NPC. -

However, air dropping whatever location you have set as a waypoint would be good e.g. "I want to go here mr taxi driver"
-
the little triangle button in text messages sends your location they can set as a waypoint lol
-
The phone stuff is the obvious big winner for me. Between the shit talking on bleeter, and the easier access to idiots to record via location pinging in messages, and livestreaming earning me more money than any gov faction i worked in, and the illegal marketplace to buy my GPS zero days easier, im quite glad Mr Claude joined the dev team Several of the phone features yesterday basically allowed me and @Frewer to create scenes and content out of thin air at the mines
-
Agreed. /hidehud true works great but it also hides a bunch of shit like phone. I think ideal would be a command to hidealias/hideid or both so you can show what you prefer
-
they changed it ages back where IDs and aliases were not visible unless you held alt or some shit, then everyone whined like little bitches about it. The needing IDs for reports thing was way over-complained about, I was admin at the time and through staff tools and logs you could see who shot someone as long as there was a timestamp. there was maybe a tiny handful of reports that couldnt be resolved due to not being able to get identification, and this was when reports were significantly higher than they are now. I personally would rather not have anything above head other than new player, if not that then just IDs or at least a removeallalias command so i can reset all mine so i just see IDs. if you're memorable enough i'll remember you, if you look and act like generic npc then i wont remember lol
-
you can removealias already? And also LEO can toggle off auto alias in the phone settings > game settings so license doesnt auto alias them
-
They work in texts, don't work on Bleeter.

Fuck off with this zoomer shit snake >flappy bird but yes also flappy bird

Prison Break RP – Why Is It Such a Hassle?
Ash replied to Dexter Nevermore's topic in Game Suggestions
Seems like something that could be solved with "is there over X guards on shift? Okay lockpicking works now and you automatically get unprisoned when you make it so far out, if not lockpicking doesnt work" -
Did they even ever finish the items listed in the roadmap almost half a year ago?
-
This might be the best suggestion anyone has ever made
-
Oh and I pretty much always give them Lewis Langleys phone number to call if they’re ever in trouble
-
Something I have done a lot is if I see a new player asking them if they want to ride about with me. I’d take them to get kitted out in a new outfit, take them around hotspots and some of the easier intro jobs and inform them if they plan on doing crime there’s no coming back IC if they wanted to be a cop on that character. Just generally giving them a tour and eventually buying them a shitty starter car and taking them to a mechanic for visual mods and telling them how to repair and park etc. i don’t think I’ve ever had negative feedback when doing that and more people should do it, it’s super fun way to meet new people and get people a bit invested.
-
it has been implemented /roll min max GAMBLING TIME
-
An argument could be made for a % modifier that cops can use (or inform doc of) from say 10%-40% for example /prison [id] 20 would knock 20% off the jail time It doesn't need to be completely accurate to how much actual time was served, and could effectively be something given as a bonus for actually engaging in the scenario and roleplaying in a fun and engaging way and not being one of those /me keeps bleeding out people trying to force death. Obvious negative is that power being in the hands of law enforcement and the ability for abuse or favouritism, but if it's not automatic that's just going to always be a concern.
-
starts counting from a successful handcuff, resets when uncuffed or /prison'd maybe
-
Because you dont need to min-max your running ability to roleplay
-
huge

@ing a dev in general chat in the 2 hour window theyre active after they post a dev update is way more likely to get a dev change than a suggestion thread tbh
