  1. Great idea, especially from Frey. I think an idea that could make it more interesting is being able to remove or replace license plates on the cars. Maybe having to pay a medium amount of money to get a fake plate that will show up as the vehicle not being stolen but maybe a different make or something. Not sure how functional that could be but it might be another way to get a vehicle from stealing it to chopping it.
  2. I agree that gun sounds would honestly make the game more immersive and fun. I think that it would be better though if we had a server wide poll on a few different options that would be easier to install on the server. Players should also have the option to disable the sounds with a command, similar to the blood effects.
  3. A small suggestion that I think would be easily implemented and could be a bit more interesting than our current dice. Essentially, making it so that when you do the /dice command, you instead put in what size of dice you want to use. d2,d4,d6,d8,d10,d12,d20,d100. I love the dice system for making rolls and determining what the outcome is and being a big DND nerd, I love the variety with dice. I think that it could make rp a bit more interesting as you have a wider array of outcomes instead of only relying on a D6. Heck, you could even play TTRPGs in game if someone was dedicated enough.
  4. I agree that it is a bit weird to be using for house robberies, but, it is accurate to have that storage capacity. As the post above shows, you can store quite a bit on the front and back of the vehicle.
  5. To not hear a helicopter, it really only needs to go up to about 3000ft. That's not the top of the map.
  6. So, my suggestion is fairly simple though I feel that it would add a good amount of content for criminals. I would love to hear everyone's opinions on this as well as any feedback or ideas! The main concept is that we should add more banks that are robbable. Having more than the 4 we have now would be a step closer to improving criminal RP. Though my idea is a bit more complicated than just adding more banks. I think we should add in Heist-type jobs. For example, jewelry store robberies where you get jewels instead of packed cash. This would allow for some variation in items but with the same payout. You would have to go to a different NPC to fleece the diamonds. I feel that heist-like events would be a huge boost for criminal RP. Having the options to do big crimes other than just the bank would be an interesting change and I think a fun one! If you have any other ideas or thoughts please comment!
  7. I don't believe that this has been brought up on the forums at least. Since we are no longer able to have client-side weapon mods, I figured I would put in a suggestion to add a server-side sound mod. I believe the best way to go about this would be to have a list of sound mods and then poll those mods to decide what the community likes best. I believe this would be an improvement for the community as it would improve the realism when it comes to sound in-game. Please leave some suggestions below or your thoughts / comments on the topic of adding in a server-side sound mod. Thanks!
  8. My suggestion for this would be simple, having a new job in the LEO branch being an actual person as the 911 dispatcher. I'm not exactly sure how this would be done, though it could be ran as a separate faction that shares 911 calls with PD/SD/MD and basically informs / coordinates response to certain calls. It would also allow for the use of a non-emergency hotline, 311, for example. I believe this job should have similar restrictions for felons to LSC, though a bit stricter with maybe a month - month and a half. Though that is more an IC regulation, I believe that would be fair as a way to allow felons an opportunity to work with gov. As well, I believe that this job would allow for better roleplay, especially in regards to non-emergency hotlines and creating a more realistic RP environment. IMO, it doesn't make a whole lot of sense that LEO factions have an automatic dispatch like how it is right now. It would definitely be learning curve and have some issues here and there. I'm sure we could overcome those issues though and find ways to improve the system. This will certainly take time, though I believe it would greatly enhance RP especially between civs and LEO/MD. Of course, feel free to include any suggestions or anything else you that you might think will add to this suggestion!
  9. Hello, this is going to be a simple, yet valuable change. I believe, and I think that a few other people can agree with me here, the way that coroners works now needs to be changed. It no longer works as intended and is rarely used. Now, there are a few simple changes that could be made to make this job work and actually be useful for RP. One such improvement could be making a HQ in the city that people can work from. As well, I think that offering a salary for coroners - much like burgershot - or increasing pay for each body would greatly improve the drive for people to play coroners. Secondly, adding a uniform to the job would also improve RP as it does not make sense for people to running around as a corner in random clothes. The third is that I think there should be an option to drop bodies at one of the hospitals or a specific building. This option could only be available when no coroners are on duty, this way officers could drop bodies off at the aforementioned location and have a proper RP way of getting rid of bodies. The only way as of this moment is to RP calling a coroner and then hiding the body. This is very poor RP in my eyes and I think it should not continue as it does not promote good RP in any way at all. Thank you for reading, and if you have any other suggestions about this topic, please comment!
  10. I suppose so, it just seems more that a knife wound would be lethal in most circumstances. If you get stabbed enough to be downed, you'd still be bleeding out quite a bit. If it was one or two stabs, yeah, I could see being knocked out. Although I could see that easily being abused to KO people in one-hit and not lead to the best of RP with the knifes at least. I dunno, that's just my opinion with the knives. I like everything else about this suggestion though.
  11. I like this suggestion apart from having a knife be a knock-out. That should still be lethal. Otherwise, great suggestion, you should be able to have that fun RP of boxing, or have a less-than-lethal method of getting someone down for a bit. It could also be helpful in regards to kidnapping or taking hostage/dealing with people who are resisting arrest.
  12. I don't think time should be lowered or capped much more than it already has been. However, letting time tick down while you're offline would be great. Either at 1 to 1 or where it ticks down slower while you're offline. This would at least alleviate some of the "sit afk and watch Netflix" issues that we have right now. The argument of "if you can't do the time, don't do the crime" is cliche and quite rude. We should be making improvements to RP, not punishing people for doing said RP. This coming from a LEO main, I want crims to have a better time on the server. The more fun and opportunities they have to RP, the more enjoyable my experience will be too.
  13. I'm 50/50 on this. You are right that admin sits can completely take people out of the rp they were just having. It can really slow down the handful of situations had per shift down to a crawl. The few that I've been apart of usually end in the rp bring reset and eventually not as enjoyable. There are also situations where no admins are involved and we've just been able to pm the person we were chasing, ask them if they want to restart because the lead unit c0, and then we restart without spending 30 minutes doing nothing. It's things like this where people should be respectful and say, "Yeah, I'll restart this scenario with you cause someone crashed." Police would do the same, and always do. Respect is a two-way street that can't just be forced down on someone else and not given to the other. If we want a better community and attitude towards eachother, we start by being more respectful and cooperative. This is a game and we are all just trying to have fun.
  14. I personally like this idea of making it into a phone app to pay fines. It would be really nice to be able to pay fine faster that way. Plus like bala said, another reason to use phones!
