  1. Having to chase meta cars constantly is much more frustrating than anything. This update is making it very hard to enjoy these kinds of pursuits. Every ATM robbery is a high speed or super that we can barely keep up with. What should happen is that the speed debuff is applied to sports cars while off-road vehicles are able to keep their speed.
  2. Here's my experience with this from an LEO perspective (I play some crim, moreso for the rp than anything else). Our factions are held to some of the highest standards on the server—for good reason too. LEO factions along with the higher-RP focused gangs are what keep major story-lines and plot going. Without these two, the server wouldn't have any content to work with. We in LEO have (mostly) come to the conclusion that for us to have fun RP, there needs to be a good balance between high-tier gangs and LEOs. If this sort of restriction came into place like Corbyn suggests, the high-tier gangs would be able to create the more fun and interesting RP story-lines like we've seen in the past. They wouldn't need to be posted up waiting for a bunch of new players with heavies and AP rolling them. I don't think this would immediately solve all our problems—everyone still has heavies and body armor in excess. It may take some time for people to lose it and be reset and I'm sure that other problems will also crop up as they often do. However, this might offer some reprieve to the higher-tier gangs that want to focus on RP and creating a fun environment for their members.
  3. Uhhhhh hhhuuuuhhh suuuuuuureee But in all actuality, having the street names and such be where they used to be would help with doing callouts. And if that's not an option, being able to make the text larger would be the only other solution. I personally don't have great eyesight and reading those small of words is quite difficult at times.
  4. Hello! With the change to the hud, I have a couple of suggestions that I would like to see implemented. 1) The area name and the street names should be moved to above the GPS like it previously was before. The names being on the top of the screen (and also really small text for those of us with sight issues) is quite annoying for quite a few situations, specifically when flying and trying to do callouts for PD/SD. 2) Increase the size of the text or create a setting for it as it currently is really hard to see and read when flying or driving and doing callouts. This is how it looks right now while flying. We have to focus on the car being driving below us and then look away just to see what the street name is, all while doing callouts on where the car is and what way they're going.
  5. Agreed, I think that if people are still going to be allowed to talk, PD/SD should be given the means to locate them through their radio usage. (Much like how the FCC would be able find you if you used a ham radio). I find it unrealistic for criminal organizations to be able to purchase these devices and be able to comp PD/SD freqs and have basically zero repurcussions as it stands. It is incredibly difficult for LEO to comp a gang freq and incredibly easy for crims to get onto ours right now. It does not feel balanced nor does it feel fun to have people shit talking on what is supposed to be a secure and encrypted frequency. If LEO were given a way to track down where jammers are located, or counteract people hacking into our radio frequency, it would be more fun. It just isn't right now. I like the idea of these new items, it's super creative and could lead to more entertaining RP, however, it seems to be the best tool to troll gov factions instead.

    Phone Battery

Date and time (provide timezone): 19/MAY/2024 23:09 (UTC) Character name: Baron Faust Issue/bug you are reporting: Phone battery does not go down at all. I have had my phone on and at 0 for about a week with no change. Expected behavior: Once hitting 0, phone should turn off. Evidence, notes worth mentioning, steps to replicate: Run phone down to Zero and just watch as it doesn't shut off for days.
  8. Great idea, especially from Frey. I think an idea that could make it more interesting is being able to remove or replace license plates on the cars. Maybe having to pay a medium amount of money to get a fake plate that will show up as the vehicle not being stolen but maybe a different make or something. Not sure how functional that could be but it might be another way to get a vehicle from stealing it to chopping it.
  9. I agree that gun sounds would honestly make the game more immersive and fun. I think that it would be better though if we had a server wide poll on a few different options that would be easier to install on the server. Players should also have the option to disable the sounds with a command, similar to the blood effects.
  10. A small suggestion that I think would be easily implemented and could be a bit more interesting than our current dice. Essentially, making it so that when you do the /dice command, you instead put in what size of dice you want to use. d2,d4,d6,d8,d10,d12,d20,d100. I love the dice system for making rolls and determining what the outcome is and being a big DND nerd, I love the variety with dice. I think that it could make rp a bit more interesting as you have a wider array of outcomes instead of only relying on a D6. Heck, you could even play TTRPGs in game if someone was dedicated enough.
  11. Baron Faust - 4 tickets
  12. I agree that it is a bit weird to be using for house robberies, but, it is accurate to have that storage capacity. As the post above shows, you can store quite a bit on the front and back of the vehicle.
  13. To not hear a helicopter, it really only needs to go up to about 3000ft. That's not the top of the map.
  14. So, my suggestion is fairly simple though I feel that it would add a good amount of content for criminals. I would love to hear everyone's opinions on this as well as any feedback or ideas! The main concept is that we should add more banks that are robbable. Having more than the 4 we have now would be a step closer to improving criminal RP. Though my idea is a bit more complicated than just adding more banks. I think we should add in Heist-type jobs. For example, jewelry store robberies where you get jewels instead of packed cash. This would allow for some variation in items but with the same payout. You would have to go to a different NPC to fleece the diamonds. I feel that heist-like events would be a huge boost for criminal RP. Having the options to do big crimes other than just the bank would be an interesting change and I think a fun one! If you have any other ideas or thoughts please comment!
  15. I don't believe that this has been brought up on the forums at least. Since we are no longer able to have client-side weapon mods, I figured I would put in a suggestion to add a server-side sound mod. I believe the best way to go about this would be to have a list of sound mods and then poll those mods to decide what the community likes best. I believe this would be an improvement for the community as it would improve the realism when it comes to sound in-game. Please leave some suggestions below or your thoughts / comments on the topic of adding in a server-side sound mod. Thanks!
  16. My suggestion for this would be simple, having a new job in the LEO branch being an actual person as the 911 dispatcher. I'm not exactly sure how this would be done, though it could be ran as a separate faction that shares 911 calls with PD/SD/MD and basically informs / coordinates response to certain calls. It would also allow for the use of a non-emergency hotline, 311, for example. I believe this job should have similar restrictions for felons to LSC, though a bit stricter with maybe a month - month and a half. Though that is more an IC regulation, I believe that would be fair as a way to allow felons an opportunity to work with gov. As well, I believe that this job would allow for better roleplay, especially in regards to non-emergency hotlines and creating a more realistic RP environment. IMO, it doesn't make a whole lot of sense that LEO factions have an automatic dispatch like how it is right now. It would definitely be learning curve and have some issues here and there. I'm sure we could overcome those issues though and find ways to improve the system. This will certainly take time, though I believe it would greatly enhance RP especially between civs and LEO/MD. Of course, feel free to include any suggestions or anything else you that you might think will add to this suggestion!
  17. Hello, this is going to be a simple, yet valuable change. I believe, and I think that a few other people can agree with me here, the way that coroners works now needs to be changed. It no longer works as intended and is rarely used. Now, there are a few simple changes that could be made to make this job work and actually be useful for RP. One such improvement could be making a HQ in the city that people can work from. As well, I think that offering a salary for coroners - much like burgershot - or increasing pay for each body would greatly improve the drive for people to play coroners. Secondly, adding a uniform to the job would also improve RP as it does not make sense for people to running around as a corner in random clothes. The third is that I think there should be an option to drop bodies at one of the hospitals or a specific building. This option could only be available when no coroners are on duty, this way officers could drop bodies off at the aforementioned location and have a proper RP way of getting rid of bodies. The only way as of this moment is to RP calling a coroner and then hiding the body. This is very poor RP in my eyes and I think it should not continue as it does not promote good RP in any way at all. Thank you for reading, and if you have any other suggestions about this topic, please comment!
  18. I suppose so, it just seems more that a knife wound would be lethal in most circumstances. If you get stabbed enough to be downed, you'd still be bleeding out quite a bit. If it was one or two stabs, yeah, I could see being knocked out. Although I could see that easily being abused to KO people in one-hit and not lead to the best of RP with the knifes at least. I dunno, that's just my opinion with the knives. I like everything else about this suggestion though.
  19. I like this suggestion apart from having a knife be a knock-out. That should still be lethal. Otherwise, great suggestion, you should be able to have that fun RP of boxing, or have a less-than-lethal method of getting someone down for a bit. It could also be helpful in regards to kidnapping or taking hostage/dealing with people who are resisting arrest.

    Jail time

I don't think time should be lowered or capped much more than it already has been. However, letting time tick down while you're offline would be great. Either at 1 to 1 or where it ticks down slower while you're offline. This would at least alleviate some of the "sit afk and watch Netflix" issues that we have right now. The argument of "if you can't do the time, don't do the crime" is cliche and quite rude. We should be making improvements to RP, not punishing people for doing said RP. This coming from a LEO main, I want crims to have a better time on the server. The more fun and opportunities they have to RP, the more enjoyable my experience will be too.
  21. I'm 50/50 on this. You are right that admin sits can completely take people out of the rp they were just having. It can really slow down the handful of situations had per shift down to a crawl. The few that I've been apart of usually end in the rp bring reset and eventually not as enjoyable. There are also situations where no admins are involved and we've just been able to pm the person we were chasing, ask them if they want to restart because the lead unit c0, and then we restart without spending 30 minutes doing nothing. It's things like this where people should be respectful and say, "Yeah, I'll restart this scenario with you cause someone crashed." Police would do the same, and always do. Respect is a two-way street that can't just be forced down on someone else and not given to the other. If we want a better community and attitude towards eachother, we start by being more respectful and cooperative. This is a game and we are all just trying to have fun.
  22. I personally like this idea of making it into a phone app to pay fines. It would be really nice to be able to pay fine faster that way. Plus like bala said, another reason to use phones!
  23. Now, I may be mistaken, but I have never seen anyone in PD be able to track phones. This may be just a Detective thing or something similar, but otherwise, there is no way for PD to track criminals down other than vehicles they use or clothing/physical identifiers.
